This was the best spaghetti and meatballs I've ever eaten. The spaghetti was perfectly al dente, the sauce was light and flavorful, and the meatballs!!!! I thought about them and how delicious they were for an entire day. My husband and I returned the next day to try something else. I had the lasagna and he had the spaghetti with mushroom sauce. The lasagna was good too. My husband loved his food. I'm going back a third time to try their seafood. If it's as good as everything else, this will officially be my new favorite spot for Italian food.

I had a good time, the food was delicious. The atmosphere was very relaxed. I can see it being a bit more rowdy during more busy hours but it was a great time. Glad my friends and I stopped in!

Small town gem! We had a kid free night. Wanted to try another local restaurant that ended up being closed, a local suggested this place. So glad we went. Good portions and doesn't break the bank. Service was also on point.

Fantastic socially distanced place to grab some lunch or dinner. Today I chose the meatball hero which came well prepared and tasty. There was more than enough meat to fill me up with only half the sandwich. A family with two younger kids might be able to buy one and split it. For myself leftovers for dinner will be the choice. I also requested a side salad with ranch dressing that had fresh lettuce and carrots. Drink choices were a wide variety from alcohol to soda. Today I chose the diet soda as I was time limited. When I visit this village again I'll be sure to stop here again. They were open today on the holiday which made it a treat as many other eating establishments were close. Thank you for the meal and being open.

The Napolitano (round) and grandma's pizza (square) is delicious with crust thin and crusty just like NYC pizza. The gravies and sauces are flavorful without being too salty or sweet. The sauce is critical in making an outstanding recipe. Pasta Grill has managed to do that well and consistently. The ingredients are fresh and menu specialties are varied and cooked to perfection. Staff and owners friendly and accommodating. Dining room has a warm ambience. Highly recommend!

A gem of an Italian restaurant in upstate New York. So glad to have found this place a few years ago. Generous portions of authentic dishes are reasonably priced and served with a smile. Our favorites include the Baked Ziti Sicilian, Eggplant Rollatini and Lasagna. Good house wine (Merlot). They also make good pizza. Very welcoming place. Hope to get back there soon to say hi to Angela and the rest of the staff.

Wonderful find on a day trip. We devoured our meals of Veal Francese and Ziti, enjoyed the warm Italian bread and focaccia and finished with a great mug of coffee and a cannoli. Just perfect on this cold dreary winter night. Thank you for the great service.

I was part of a party of 6 that walked into this restaurant, which was pretty full. Their first question do you have a reservation. We didn't. We were seated in less than 5 mins and the food was excellent. I'll definitely eat here again.

Came with my family after our son's baseball game down the street. We walked around town and decided to eat here. It was a Saturday early evening and the place was already very busy. We had a great dinner, all four of us really loved it.

Took my family out for a nice early dinner and was not disappointed. The food was really good, and decently priced; especially given the portion. The staff were all courteous, and attentive to customers. I've lived in this neighborhood for a few years now, and my only regret related to this establishment was that I hadn't stopped in sooner. The music was classic (lot of Sam Cooke and Johnny Cash) which was just fine with me. Recommend stopping in if you haven't already.

11 of my family gathered for amazing service and fun. The menu has a lot of great things to chose from! The staff was exceptional and patient with the big group. This is the 2nd time we did this with them and will be back again!

This place is busy for a reason. The chicken marsala was great. If you have a salad, order dressing on the side.

We came up from Long Island to go camping in the area and on the way out, we stopped here on a whim. It was a delicious surprise considering the restaurant doesn't look like much at first. My daughter and I each had a burger that was huge, cooked perfectly and delicious. Each burger came with these unique curled, half-moon steak fries which were also cooked and seasoned perfectly. Delicious. Others had pasta which they enjoyed. Bread and foccacia was delicious before the meal and it was all very affordable and service was great. All that for about $45. Only negative was the bathrooms were really rough but overall, great place.

Absolutely delicious!! Garlic knots SO soft and fresh. Not too hot chicken wings. Fantastic penne, sauce and meatballs! Loved everything and had a lunch next day with leftovers.

We were there on Saturday afternoon. The service was excellent! The food was outstanding! The lady who owns it, is so nice, as well as the help! Cannot say enough how good this place is!

We had a last minute decision to stop by for a dinner and weren't disappointed. Three families with 6 kids, total 11 people, we were helped and seated in 5 minutes. All our menu choices were prepared and served quickly, our waiter was super polite and friendly. My burger was cooked perfectly and the fries that came with is were delicious.

First visit. We were warmly greeted, seated immediately, our order was taken promptly, our food arrived quickly, and the service was excellent throughout our meal. We were checked on just often enough and our waitress anticipated our need for more napkins without our having to ask. I had the Seafood Platter, which was like a zuppa di pesce, and my husband had the Veal Parmesian. Everything was so FRESH! The sauce was DEVINE! I don't normally do carbs and planned to eat just the seafood. Well, I couldn't resist. The sauce was SO GOOD I ate the pasta AND soaked up every drop of that sauce with warm, crispy, buttered bread. Husband loved the Veal. We have a new favorite place!

The food was fresh and delicious. We had the broccoli with olive oil and garlic as well as the chicken cacciatore and they we very accommodating to grill the chicken . Awesome meatball parm! Good, fresh, and delicious. On a great crust roll with big tomato chunks. They even cut a hole in the box so my sub would not get soggy. Sooooo good.

We were on vacation in the Catskills and found this place to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday. We had 12 of us and arrived 45 minutes before closing. They graciously accommodated us and we had a fantastic meal and desserts. Thanks to the friendly staff and chef for letting us stay well after closing to finish our meal, which was excellent. Highly recommended and great value.

The cook was pleasant and was so kind to be considerate of my gluten allergy. I ordered and asked for no flour in my dish. With a smile and kindness, they made sure to make the dish perfect for me with out the flour. That is very rare to find in Italian restaurants. I will be coming here again. Ooo also they had the best blue cheese dressing I have had in the area. I highly recommend this place .

My wife and I visited while staying at Howe's Cavern for the weekend. This place is a little gem right on main street. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the servers make it feel like you're visiting your favorite cousins for dinner. The food was delightful and the house chianti was pleasant. We will definitely come back if we're in the area.

Stopped here as we were passing through on a road trip. One of our favorite spots on the whole trip. The garlic knots were great. I got the burger, which was huge, and wife got the tortellini which she loved. Our server was fun to talk with and the whole staff seemed great.

The place has that classic small-town Italian restaurant feel — warm, inviting, and full of locals who clearly love it. Pasta & Grill has become my utmost favorite place to go for food. I have a food allergy to processed flour. Our waitress, Jessica, began to tell us, my family and me, that the owner is from Italy and uses 100% Italian flour. She totally understood. I thanked her up and down. I felt so welcomed here. The food was absolutely delicious! The cannoli was the best dessert I've ever had!! It was stuffed! Thank you Jessica for your complete understanding!! You made it a cat-tastic experience!!

The quaint little town was getting decorated for Halloween, and we spotted the pasta sign. Inside a very sweet Maria takes care of you with a friendly smile and conversation. The food was the best Chicken Frances I have had since Vinny's closed in Bridgeport. Bring quarters to feed the meters! Yes they still have them, it's like Bedford Falls, stuck in time. On the plus side, the town has wi-fi!

Touch down at Middle Village Pasta & Grill, a true small-town masterpiece located in the heart of Middleburgh, NY! If you love authentic Italian food and, more importantly, genuine Italian "hospitality," I highly recommend a visit. My friend and I started our adventure with a dozen Garlic Parm wings as an appetizer, and I have to say, they don't miss! The crispness of each bite and the succulent, tender chicken that easily falls off the bone is literally to die for. Beyond how perfectly they were cooked, I always pay attention to the size of the wings, and these are perfect—not too big, not too small. It's a pure sign that the staff stays away from GMO foods, which is a rare talent in the times we're in. My friend ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs. While I can't say the spaghetti gave him superpowers, it definitely makes us want to go back! The sauce has the perfect blend of seasonings and spices, the pasta noodles were perfectly al dente, and the meatballs were soft with a perfect chew, seasoned just right, and smothered in that amazing sauce! For my entree, I had to stick with a classic Italian-American dish: Penne Alla Vodka. When I thought this dish was going to be just good, it was even better. This "Alla Vodka" blew my mind! The penne had the perfect bite, and every single noodle was drenched in the absolutely fabulous, delicate sauce. This little slice of Italy, nestled in the beautiful village of Middleburgh, is a spot to die for. 12/23/24 revisited Middle Village Pasta & Grill while in town and was again very impressed. The staff was exceptional as was the food. We stepped away from the traditional Italian and went with a fisherman’s special, burger and steak and cheese. All were delicious. Fries were done perfectly so. Love getting the warm bread at the beginning! Old review: Nice Italian gem introduced to us while visiting family in the area. The service was great and the menu choices were many. Between the six of us we tried Hero’s, Stromboli, chicken parm, Parmigiana alla Caprese and for me chicken marsala. I was able to sample everything and all was excellent except mine. In all my years I have never had Marsala where the sauce was thin and watery and tasted the alcohol from the Marsala Wine. I didn’t complain and let my family enjoy their meals, but I of course am disappointed and feel a bit queasy now. i will go back on our next visit, I will not order the Marsala though.

It was hard finding a place open on a Monday, but Middle Village was open for business. After a 2 hour hike, we were hungry! We all ordered something different, and it didn't disappoint. The Chicken Caesar Salad had an Italian twist with black and green olives and hard-boiled eggs, but my kid ate it. My other kid ordered the lasagna, which was massive but she ate it all. The sauce was really fresh and delicious. My 3rd kid ate a hero ( hoagie , sub or sandwich) with grilled chicken and balsamic. It was huge and filling. My husband and I ordered the Sicilian pizza with pepperoni, sauce and fresh garlic. It was amazing! The crust wasn't too thick, the sauce was freshand the garlic and toppings were so perfect. This place actually delivered and surprised us for a small town restaurant. Please stop here and give these folks business.

If there were 10 stars for food, it wouldn't be enough! This place serves authentic Italian like nobody's business! Coming from an Italian American girl born and raised in Queens, you know this means something! Crispy Italian bread and foccacia to start, served along with a fresh salad. We had the Haddock Pescatore with clams and mussels in a light marinara sauce. The taste was superb, the fish and seafood tender and delicious. We topped the meal with a helping of Cannolli cake...to die for! I can't say enough about this restaurant! Well worth a trip, if you're not local to Middleburg. Bellisimo!

Wonderful friendly experience, with professional and efficient staff. Went in as a party of four, for 530pm dinner tonight on a Friday night. Now we did set up a reservation to guarantee a seat right away, which was placed and set for our arrival. The staff promptly arrived to take drink and appetizer orders. Wait for drinks and appetizers was very appreciated and noted how quick they were working, while maintaining integrity to the local establishment and quality of food. 3 of our party members ordered from their burger selection. The food arrived hot, fresh, medium rare burgers all around as ordered. French fries were a fun and refreshing look, with an amazing taste that shuts down all fast food joints in my opinion. The over all atmosphere is warm, welcoming, inviting with simple and clean all around. Will continue keeping this establishment in our local radar for date nights and family get together.

Most of what they sell is delicious however do not order the steak and cheese there is very little steak orchies mostly peppers and bread. Very disappointing for an otherwise Is very good restaurant.

Probably the best place to eat in Middleburgh. Most of the restaurants there have been dulled into complacency over the years by virtue of being the only option of their kind in the area, but Pasta & Grill is better than most of them. The place is clean and well lit, with median prices and good food.

Great meals and decent pizza. Everytime we go they never have any extra pizza bread. We even offer to pay extra as it is delicious. But they never have it so it is always disappointing. But it is a decent place. They found get 5 stars if they gave more pizza bread or even let u buy extra. So instead they only get 4 stars.

Very delicious, I think they were short staffed tonight though. We felt a little overlooked and the crew seemed a tad frazzled between tables. They were very nice otherwise and our meals were delicious.

Went there for lunch one day we were going from Amsterdam to Gilboa. Reasonably priced food (for this day and age) with really good quality. I had the chicken francese with pasta, my wife had the seafood Fry Diablo. Both were good. Salads were nothing more than lettus. For the price it was an 8/10. We will be back.

I ordered shrimp parm, interesting and I haven't seen this on a menu elsewhere that I remember. It was good, but the breading on the shrimp was far too generous in my opinion and it completely masked the taste and texture of the shrimp. Maybe this is a "me" thing, and other people would love it, but for "me", I'd like less than half the amount of breading. Generous portions, my drink was cold and refill offered, bread was warm and yummy, salad was fresh, restaurant is clean, bathroom is clean, parking was easy to find, there's 3 steps up to the front door.

I started with a salad, but the greens weren’t very fresh, and the julienned vegetables felt out of place for a salad. I ordered the chicken marsala, which was decent but not especially memorable. The pasta portion was quite small compared to the chicken, making the dish feel unbalanced. The staff was friendly and attentive, which was appreciated. With fresher ingredients and better portion balance, this restaurant could offer a stronger overall experience.

I tried several entrees and soup. i was very confused by the flavors and the soup had a perfume taste it was bad no one here liked it. i wouldn't recommend eggplant parm wasn't fond of the pasta sauce in any of the dishes and seafood was bland and rubbery. better bread at price choppers bakery

Wouldn't go back or recommend. The service was great, our waitress was friendly. However, the sauce lacked any flavor than crushed tomatoes. I got the eggplant parmesan, which didn't seem fried or breaded. It was just eggplant slices with sauce and cheese on top. Disappointing.

I got an Italian mixed sub and my girlfriend got an antipasto salad. The sub was ok but the roll was hard and definitely not worth the price. The Antipasto salad was unedible. The lettuce was so old that it was turning Brown and the the cold cuts tasted bad/old as well. Definitely not worth the money and I don't recommend this place to anyone.

The food was mediocre. Went on a Saturday for lunch with my 75 y/o mother. She asked the waitress if she had any specials. The waitress answered by saying, I’m going to give you a menu and you’re going to read them. 😳 She seemed very agitated the entire time, like she didn’t want to be there. We ordered baked ziti and there was no ricotta cheese. It was just ziti with melted mozzarella on top. Very disappointing. I would never go back to this place.

So disappointed after all the recommendations we got to come here. First, the baked clams were gritty and the calamari was the most pepper coated, rubbery, and soggy calamari I’ve ever had- gross! Tried to order chicken marsala with cheese on it. The super nice waitress looked scared and said the chef is old school italian and probably won’t do it. When she told us he wouldn’t do it, she also said he gets mad when people try customize dishes. HUH? Food we pay for to our liking he won’t do because he’s old school? We think he took his anger out on the chicken- it was way overcooked and tasteless. The eggplant rollatine and veal were delicious though. The pizza was also great. The cannoli was excellent. Won’t return due to the chef, but otherwise the place was cute and had okay food.

Food was just OK. Wasn’t expecting much in the Catskills but not thrilled that they passed off a beaten and thinned pork cutlet as Veal. I ordered the Veal Scallopini Francese. The lemon sauce was ok but you can’t pass off pork for veal in this dish because it’s not fried with bread crumbs like a cutlet. It’s just egg dipped and flour. Easily able to tell it was pork. Old school trick that used to happen at less than honorable Italian restaurants. I guess they still exist in Middleburgh NY.

If I could give this place a big zero I would!!!!! First time ever experiencing racism. I guess this town isn’t use to seeing people of color. We walked in into this place and saw mouths drop. We’ve traveled and been to many places and I’ve never ever experienced racism. Sad to say this was the first time. We sat at a table and waited 10 mins before anyone came over to even ask if we wanted a drink while we watched everyone else get tended to. I was ready to walk out but my husband wanted to stay. The waitress was very nice and helpful when she finally got to us. Thank you for that. The “special” wasn’t really so special since the eggplant wasn’t fresh!

It must have been a bad night for the woman who answered the phone for take out. She was very acerbic when asked about an item on the menu, telling my husband that he should have looked at "her menu" before he called and hanging up. The food was well recommended but I do not plan to buy food where the owner shows so little courtesy.

I ordered two pies and two dozen wings extra saucey. They were not extra saucey, matter of fact they were a little dry. Not only do they not come with complimentary veggies and blue cheese you have to pay extra and ask for them. Any pizza joint I’ve been to those two items automatically came with wings. The sausage on the pizza was giant chunks a little too much but beggars can’t be choosers on that note. We based our order off the online website prices which come to our surprise was very different from today’s actual prices. The website is not up too date at all. While the staff apologized, it’s not worth going here ever again. Truthfully for spending $75 I had expected better. I’ll stick with Pizza Shack in Coby from now on. At least there I get what I ask for and I’m not paying extra for standards that typically come with wings or pizzas. Save your time and money and go to a different place.

Let me start by saying I have been going here for years and love the food. Tonight was an exception, I brought a couple of out of town friends here for dinner and ordered prime rib. One of my friends ordered it as well. We both ordered it medium rare and both dinners were well done. I told this to the waiter this he looked at mine turned around and walked away without saying a word. I was not looking for compensation but a simple apology would have been nice. I also ordered my wife an italian sub to go because she was sick at home and could not make it. The roll was so hard she took off everything on it and put it on our own bread.

We were sat down by the window and it was horrible with the Flys 🪰. We killed about 10 Flys so we could eat our Pizza. I said something to the lady as I paid the bill and she said there is nothing we can do to get rid of them. Ok I really like your food but I'm not willing to fight to eat.

We stopped at 7:45 PM on the way back from a very long (7 hours) drive. The open sign was lit up out front and the hours said until 9 PM. Still when we went inside there was only one other table of diners so I asked if it was too late for dinner. They enthusiastically said, "No, come on in." We both ordered meals. The other table left at 8:10. Immediately the manager cut the music, the waitress began sweeping the dining room floor and someone went outside and turned off the OPEN sign. You could see they were annoyed we were not eating faster. It was a very unpleasant environment to dine in. Maybe go for lunch. They do not honor their posted hours and are very rude. The food was good but the atmosphere ruined it. Also extremely bright, garish lights. Candles would be nice. I am born and raised in the area and want to be supportive of local business but this is just unacceptable.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon with a diverse group of 8 people from all walks of life. The restaurant was empty other than a single family. We asked for a table for 8 and were immediately told no. They said that a group was coming in. We said okay and left to a local diner. After an hour, we drove by again and to our surprise the restaurant was completely empty. The restaurant lied and gave us the impression that unless you are a caucasian person you will not be served. Very disappointed and Shame on you

Unfortunately horrible experience, the restaurant was empty with only one family and refused to sit a group of 8.The lady said no way and it seems since we were minorities they did not want to seat us. Will not come back here again

What a disappointment. My husband and I went for dinner. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated. It was around 7:30. We ordered the specials. Tortellini Pesto w/chicken. And the stuffed haddock w/ crab meat. Our salads came out first. It was a hand full of LETTUCE. No tomatoes. No onions. No cucumber. Just lettuce with a glob of dressing. I didn’t even eat mine. There was enough dressing for a giant bowl of salad. Our bread came out after our “salads”. It was burnt. They were clearly over packed or under staffed. To top this off our waitress had less personality than a dead tree. Our entrees finally made it to the table and they were edible at best. I had spaghetti mixed in with my tortellini dish and some orange substance I couldn’t identify as if someone used a spoon meant for another dish (puke)🤢. Cross contamination much? My husbands haddock w/ “crab meat” (there was none) was drenched in so much sauce it was like eating fish soup. 🤢 While trying to choke down our food this LOUD banging noise started over and over and over again for about 5 minutes. We commented about it to the less then stellar waitress when she asked how everything was. The answer we got “VEAL”. That’s all she said. Pounding veal out at 8:15 at night? No prep for these cooks? What a joke. I don’t think I saw one employee smile while we were there. Needless to say, that’s the last time we will be going to this establishment. Not sure how they stay in business.

Food was terrible both times I got food from here. My son ordered garlic parm chicken wings and I got a pasta with chicken dish. The chicken wings tasted like a wet towel that had been left to dry. Im sorry. 2 years later a co worker of mine got the garlic parm wings and I got a salad. The salad was great, great cheese, great meat. But once again the wings were awful.

As soon as my cousin and I walked in, it was apparent that we would be treated different. Between the glares, external judgement, and conversations clearly pointed at us (with eye contact, gazes unwavering, and faces made with their snide comments.) We’re Akwesasronon, from the St. Regis Mohawk Territory, and we wear our Nation’s legacy with pride; beaded earrings or other jewelry, tattoos, or something else within our attire. It’s not uncommon to receive external racism and prejudice. Although, hearing about the greatness of the Mohawk Valley, and the little town of Middleburgh, we never thought this would be as strong. I also am not sure if they were jealous or what else it could be other than being prejudice and racist. Moving forward, we waited 15 minutes for them to clear a table off in order to be seated. That normally wouldn’t be an issue if it wasn’t for them immediately seating a white couple ahead of us, that arrived 30seconds before us. Now, after some time, the young blond girl didn’t want to take our order but eventually asked what we’d like to drink. There was an older, plump brunette with her hair up that was the worst of them and showed the clear disgust all over her mannerisms and faces. She should never play poker and should honestly get humbled. Anyways, eventually another older woman with short, dark hair finally came over to take our order after we waited another 10 minutes. When I asked about different dishes and if they’re non-dairy (as I expressed my allergy to it), she proceeded to talk down to me like I couldn’t read the menu and started explaining what grilled chicken in, what bread is, and I had to stop her. She kept making it a theme for the rest of my ordering to ask about gluten and what has gluten in it rather than letting me know what does or doesn’t have dairy. I had to remind her several times I couldn’t have dairy. At one point I had to say, I said dairy, that I can’t have dairy, I’m allergic. I didn’t say gluten. I can have that.She didn’t really speak after that nor did she check on us like she did the rest of the customers. As we waited to have our order taken, and throughout the entire meal, the gazing, stares, and remarks continued until we left. Despite the blatant prejudice and obvious racism, the food is something that could save the place. I throughly enjoyed the house salad and lentil pasta soup. I would recommend the food but if you’re not white, proceed with HEAVY caution.
