Awesome amounts of food for a decent price, I haven't had a bad visit yet! Definitely my new favorite place to eat
Food was amazing! Service was excellent! The owner came out multiple times to check on us and sat and talked will definitely be going back more!!!
The place offers a vast variety of fresh food. I loved dining here. Employees are always friendly, rates are reasonable and the place is always clean.
Great food, great customer service. Alyssa, our waitress, was the only waitress, server, and buss girl on shift. She was very good, they need to pay her more 😥😅
What an amazing experience! The staff is attentive and the barbecue in the Korean style it’s delicious and yet unique for this area.
I had an Amazing time every time I went!! I couldn't say for the people I met. But I Love them all the same. We conquer life one day at a time!!😜
Really good quality meat. Friendly great staff. Everything was amazing 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
This was my first time having Korean bbq and it was a wonderful experience! The meat was marinated and so fresh!
Loved this place the food was great, the prices were reasonable and the service was good, my new favorite K.B.Q restaurant
Korean BBQ was great. Fun dining experience and friendly and attentive staff.
One of my favorite spots for Sushi and Drinks. Clean, cozy, and great customer service...did I mention their Sushi is great!!!!!
Great food. Korean BBQ is the best experience aling with their regular menu.
We knew this place had to be good bc the owner graduated from the CIA. But this place exceeded our expectations!!!! By far the best food we've ever had! The family style dining is such a great experience! Everything we ate was bursting with flavor! If I could give this place more stars I would! A must try!!! P.S.- I'm still eating my dinner lol 😆
This place is amazing food was awsome. As a bonus this place has unique rolls I only had a few dishes with my family, but it was amazing I was full and could not stop eating 😝
Very friendly hostess . The restaurant was very clean and decor was Asian minimalist. Service was prompt and helpful since it was our first time . Food was excellent. Definitely coming back.
It was perfect, it was set up for social distancing with a shield between tables and we were able to grill our own foods. I food was delicious and perfect. The cost is right for the amount of food you get. 10 stars
A great place to eat and drink. I had the Asian fish and chips and they were quite tasty. I also had the Blue Oasis I believe it was called. Definitely would visit it again when in the area.
My husband and I have been going here for 15 years. We love it. We recently tried the Korean BBQ and it was fantastic.
Gotta give this place 5 star's. It's nice and comfortable inside, the food is great and the prices are fair. Still looking for a local spot that sells ramen but the sushi and pad Thai is excellent.
Great service and great food .Had a private party there and Peter and his staff were better then ever . The food and the service were top notch Ready to plan my next event there Thank you Peter for the incredible service . We truly enjoyed everything
Our new favorite restaurant! The best sushi and sashimi in the area! Wonderful Korean BBQ, too! Great drinks!
The only complaint is, it's a bit pricey BUT everything was so fresh and delicious. This was my first time having Korean BBQ and it was better than I thought it would be. They also have green tea mochi ice cream that will completely BLOW YOUR MIND.
Thoroughly enjoyed the sides, price was very good, the host extremely helpful and friendly and knew the menu well. The chef came over to my table and gave me a Korean juice so I got a chance to practice my Korean saying thanks. Portions were good aize for the price. Ambience good, a well attended place not crowded but well attended. Next time I qi take a group so that we can enjoy the entire Korean BBQ experience, also enjoyed the Korean music.
Went on a Friday night with 5 others (no wait time). We were kinda skeptical of Korean BBQ out side of the city, but this was excellent. Big portions of very good meat and lots of side dishes. We ordered 3 appetizers (that coconut shrimp was killer) and a plate of meat each. All of us left full and happy. Definitely a fan of the wagyu, short ribs, and steak. My friends also loved the scallops (I'm not a fish fan though so I didn't try them.) The owner stopped by the table to give us a run down on some of the meats and to ask for opinions- very polite and very passionate about his food. We'll be happy to come back here again
I absolutely love this restaurant! We always have the Korean BBQ and every time, we leave full and happy. Service it great. Portions are large and you can get refills on the banchan and fried rice. The owners always come out to greet customers, talk about different meat options and answer any questions you have. If you are doing the BBQ, be prepare to DINE! Enjoy the experience. Things take time. Can't wait to go back again!
We took three of our grandchildren there and they enjoyed not only the taste of the food, "Deee-licious!" but the variety of all the different dishes! The staff was wonderful and attentive. We look forward to visiting Blue Finn again!
The atmosphere is chill and the staff are all wonderful. The prices are great for all that you get. The food itself is delicious and the Korean BBQ experience is fun for all. Definitely a new favorite!
This is a great after work place to sit, relax and have some good grub. My buddy and I ordered sushi, simply amazing. Next time we're going for the Korean BBQ section. Thanks to the great staff.
Wonderful Korean BBQ! One of a kind experience in the area, try mermaid water for a drink and short rib option for dinner, it's absolutely delicious! Peter, the owner, is very personable and caring, the staff is friendly and courteous. Love this place!
Food was delicious, and service was warm and welcoming. The portions of meat served for Korean bbq were generous and the sides were delicious and replenished throughout the meal. All in all, a fun experience!
Great lunch specials, highly suggested for a healthy fresh lunch. I let the Sushi chef decide for me and he always does an excellent job. They have been so friendly. I am going to bring my family for the Korean BBQ one night.
I've been here a few years ago and then again this weekend. They turned it into a real Korean bbq. The sides (banchan) are traditional that you get along with the kalbi was really good. The food and service is excellent. The owner came out and greeted my family. Very pleasant place. I must say it's actually way better than before, not to say it was bad before, but with the Korean bbq... it makes it really nice to not have to travel to NJ and still be able to have something authentic. They do not serve the traditional Korean soups like soon dubu but hopefully in time they might add more meals. The atmosphere is chic and clean. The servers were absolutely amazing. We had a lot of demands and small children and they just kept everything smooth for us. The 2 young ladies we had were beautiful and courteous. Food was delicious! Tasted fresh! Very fulfilling. Definitely give this place a try if you are not afraid of having something different.
Now this is what I call an Authentic Korean restaurant!!. After a disastrous experience at what I call the “New” Yishan Restaurant on Railroad avenue, I have found my ultimate Korean go to place serving fresh, quality, first class meats and seafood. This husband and wife duo are the friendliest, kind, warm, and expedient in serving delicious Korean fair. My fiancé had the jumbo shrimp served freshly seasoned and ready for our hot barbecue grill. I had the beef short rib. Again, it arrived fully seasoned and ready for the barbecue. Our evening ended just like it started; Simply wonderful. All of the side dishes customarily served at Korean Barbecue restaurants were delicious and accompanied with lettuce and Korean paste. All in all, a great, fun, and scrumptious evening. I am definitely looking for our next return date. If you are craving delicious Korean food in town, be sure to visit this gem. I guarantee you’ll be asking yourself “why don’t I know about this place?” Simply stating, you don’t know what you don’t know. Now you do know so go on and go!
Amazing traditional Korean BBQ. They are located more upstate so people aren't used to using the lettuce wraps, but everything is available upon request. Great food, clean restaurant, small staff that are extremely nice. Definitely recommend this to anyone that actually knows what Korean BBQ is all about.
We happened upon this restaurant yesterday evening and stopped in for a bite to eat. It was my first time visiting a Korean BBQ restaurant and we'll certainly visit again soon. The staff was very attentive and the meat was delicious, as well as the sides. The sushi could have been better, there was more rice on it than any other ingredient. I also enjoyed the apple mango alcoholic beverage that I ordered.
We enjoyed their version of Korean BBQ but the portions were a bit small.
The food was very good and the staff were very attentive, but they had a new cook who had trouble keeping up on a slow night.
Very clean, nice atmosphere,to me drinks a little pricey, nice bartender"ALISA",SweetAs Candy...! PS: YOU COOK YOUR OWN FOOD...!
For the side of town that the restaurant resides in, this is a culinary gem. The food is delicious, albeit on the pricey side; well worth it when you take in the atmosphere and overall experience. Modest portions, an excellent seafood menu, and the clean, modern environment make for a great meal. I recommend the tuna steaks, fresh and well prepared. I also recommend the green tea rice gum dessert balls. My dessert was light and refreshing after a tasteful meal, a nice change from heavy, cream-laden and carb heavy desserts that you encounter in Middletown steak houses. I would use this restaurant for a first date or personal business meeting. The ambience is mature and friendly without being overly intimate. Makes a great first impression. Highly recommended.
Not to bad for a asian fusion restaurant. Had the korean bbq and some sushi. The sushi was very good (spicy tuna and fried salmon skin rolls). As for the korean bbq it is ok. Growing up eating korean bbq this place has decent korean food. The kimchi was good just wish they had more meat choices. I love korean pork belly. That would be my only complaint.
Korean BBQ is good for being far from the city. Side dishes are good. Service and sometimes take a while but it’s understandable when they have little staff.
Appetizer prices were reasonable but for the one entree we ordered i thought the price was high for the portion size. Food was delicious. We will go back!
A bit pricey but the food was very good. We did korean bbq and sushi on the side. Everything was fresh and had great flavors
Was actually a great timeand food was amazing. We ordered sushi rolls . Then ordered Korean barbecue and cooked it on the grill. It was awesome . Sushi wasn't that bad price wise. Barbecue was a little expensive. All food was fresh. I would go back for a special occasion I went back the second time and seemed like they were not keeping up on their inventory. One of the main entrees was not available . The wine that I wanted they ran out of.
Really enjoyed the food here. We had short ribs, hanger steak and chicken on the barbecue and some sushi rolls and everything was really delicious and flavorful. My kids and I ate everything down to the last drop, they were licking sauce. Service was good, wait staff was very attentive and was back and forth bringing refreshes of the banchan and gochujang and ssamjang sauces. Very clean dining room and toilet rooms.
I've never had a worse dining experience. The waitress was pleasant and the food was great, but when we went to use our coupon, which was the only reason we came to the restaurant and the only reason we ordered so much food, the waitress told us the manager wouldn't honor them anymore. We asked to speak to him and he was extremely rude and gave us attitude about how he was losing money on using the coupon and wasn't going to honor it anymore. He'd only honor it from people that came in as regulars, but not from us! He did not offer us any type of discount whatsoever and just walked off. I asked the waitress to send him back over because I was not done trying to figure out what the heck was going on. When he came back over, he was even worse. He treated us like we were trying to rob his cash register. He complained to us about how he was losing money and "not making any money off of the coupon" and how he didn't have to honor it. He bitched about how people were trying to reuse the coupons and rip him off. I was even more shocked when the waitress told me that HE WAS THE OWNER!!! I will never recommend this restaurant to ANYONE! The food was great, but the owner doesn't deserve anymore business after treating customers who had a $70 bill like cheapskates. Our coupon would've been for $25 off not including liquor or taxes, which still would've been plenty for him to make money (our bill would've still been around $50. And frankly, as a customer, I don't care if you're not making money. That's not my problem. Worst restaurant ever!
Came by at 2 o'clock on a Friday afternoon for lunch and they are closed. I'm sure this has something to do with COVID-19 however there's no indication on Google that they are closed, and in fact, I chose this restaurant because it said they still had dine-in service. Listing needs to be updated
Food was good. Dining wasn't the cleanest. For example, the floor was sticky everywhere, but overall good food!
The fried rice was delicious but the short ribs we order were way to expensive and there weren’t many on the plate that they gave us.
East and West coast oysters on the menu but no oysters. The cod was very good but small. It came with plain white rice and no sauce. Shrimp dumplings were good. The waitresses were very attentive. I went for oysters.
Used to be my to be my favorite sushi spot but over the years the sushi rolls have gotten really skimpy ..now i prefer to go elsewhere.. i still go here once in a wile. food is great but for the prices i expect a decent sushi roll not all rice !!!
I'm gonna be honest the prices didn't match up to the quality. Especially considering the fact u BBQ Ur own meat... I was expecting more habachi style or just a normal kitchen but after having my friend grill my stuff for me (I'm visually impaired) it was good but nothing spectacular. Plus they have rules if one person buys BBQ the whole table has to...I praise the good company I was with but in my opinion the rest just was a little off to me. Def not my cup of tea honestly 3 stars and being generous.
Best place in the area unless you head towards West Chester or the city for Korean BBQ. Portions are ok, sushi is decent. Very little curb appeal, interior is not bad. Service is very nice and pleasant unless they have more then 5 tables, then things slow down a bit.
The location is okay. It was my first time at a Korean BBQ. Unfortunately there are certain rules which can sour the experience, and they close some options early to close on time. In terms of service (not the waitress, she was kind and honest) they could work a bit on improving the experience. The food was good, flavorful, and the cooking experience was fun. Overall the experience was okay. I really do believe you should try it; the food is good. I will visit another time and earlier, to get a different vibe.
First time, we had BBQ and Sushi Roll. Decent food and friendly staff but the menu is a bit odd. Second visit, we had a roll and couple of main dishes. The roll was very thin and poor quality. Two other main dishes were small portions, different from the description on the menu and frankly kind of weird. The crusted salmon, for example, was a super dry flavorless piece of salmon that they poured a pile of soggy bread crumbs on top of. The shrimp was fine but kind of felt like something from Panda Express, not what I’d expect for the price point. They have a very long menu and we spent a good amount of time choosing what to get, when we ordered the waitress explained that they only had the items on the menu that were highlighted. This meant that like 70% of their menu wasn’t available. Not a huge deal but it would have been helpful if we had heard that info before hand or for them to put a note on the menu that explains why some items are highlighted. I also wasn’t happy that they aren’t following the mask mandate. It won’t be easy to give them another chance.
First they sat at us at barbecue table which we didn't want. We even tried to get a BBQ order but we had to buy 2 orders to use some BBQ table and that was expensive. So they moved us. Then we sat at the table for 20 minutes waiting to order. Food was very well made since it was closing very soon.
If you're going... go early. Like 2 hours after they open. I went 3 hours before they close and was disappointed. The service was not good at all. There was a hostess and one server. Although I'm sure they tried their best it wasn't enough. We asked for a refill four separate times and got nothing. They tell you its unlimited amount of sides with Korean bbq... we asked a numerous amount of times and waited for too long before getting a small bowl of rice and was told they were sorry that the kitchen was closing. That was an hour before closing. The food is not worth the money. Shoprite makes better sushi. We waited for the check and as we were waiting the owner got into a verbal altercation with a customer and was threatening to call police. After those customers left he was SCREAMING AND CURSING. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.
The good, teriyaki beef, chicken...the bad, stay away from the sushi/sashimi, barely edible. Salmon was ok, other fish were very marginal. Maybe just an off day, but be forewarned.
It says it's open at 3pm in Google but the owners walked exactly at 3pm and they came to open 30-40 minutes later. We waited because we wanted to try it out but that was definitely disappointing. The food was just okay.
Manager won't honor discount coupon which were purchased through Groupon without placing two same meals. In spite of no restrictions in purchasing agreement. I feel more like in taking out restaurant atmosphere.
Tempura and the sushi was great andthe waitress was awesome, she was doing everything except the cooking . However, the place was cold and they don't do free refills on soda. They pour soda in a small cup filled with ice which takes only 3 sips to finish which was ridiculous at the price of 1.75. Shady tatics
Food was ok ! website and store menu do not match in prices . And they were not open at 3 pm as stated. I wanted in the parking lot for over 30 mins for them to open. Customer service was good .
Will NEVER go back. Should have know when place was less than half full on a Saturday and it still took 10 minutes to get seated. Korean BBQ was poorly marinated & kitchen ran out of sides by 8PM. Wait staff completely non-existent. Who brings coffee without cream & sugar? Dessert without clean spoons? If this place is still in business in 6 months I'll be amazed.
So we have wanted to stop here for a while. The day finally came and we walked into this restaurant and was immediately greeted with a pleasant smile Asian woman who kindly set us at a table all the way in the back. This area was fine for us as we wanted to be secluded and just enjoy conversation and the food. However upon receiving our order in bits and pieces we became disappointed with the service. The staff members were great they did nothing wrong they what courteous, professional and consistently checking to see if anything more could be offered or done for us. The problem lied in the food we were presented with the raw meat first thereafter the small bowls that contain a small portion of food that was to be distributed between everyone at the table. Personally it wasn't enough for three people two people but I would say definitely enough for one. However my group did not just contain one person. As a result with the small bowls of a fraction of a portion of food for one person waited on table for the meat to cook the hot food in those small dishes became cold. This was not helpful at all when the food meaning the meat was finally grilled to perfection the food in the small dishes that were hot turned cold. When we waited on our drinks they were watered down. There was no taste of alcohol to either of the drinks that were served to us. The menu created an idea that these drinks were something you got to have such as Godzilla the cosmopolitan and so on if you read from the menu from the photo I shared YouTube would probably say wow that looks like it taste good. I kid you not I thought I was drinking a water down kool-aid. Nonetheless when we received the rice it too was soggy it was not a firm consistent texture rice which made the entire meal just a waste of our time. Once again I'm not blaming the staff because they did a great job it's just that the food was not to our perfection or liking and for that reason we must grade this service and the food that we tried with a two star.
This location has been remodeled and the interior is very nice and modern but it feels empty, no decorations, sort of has an echo when you talk because of that. The weeknight that we went there was nobody else in the restaurant... Not sure how they stay in business like that. The two waitresses were obviously in training because they did not know any of the menu items and asked us to repeat our orders since they didn't recognize what we were ordering. The food was ok, scallops were cooked well but came with a strange ketchupy sauce which I didn't care for. The stuffed shrimp had good flavor but were overcooked. The sushi unfortunately did not taste fresh. Overall it was an ok experience, probably would not go back. Used to be very good a few years ago.
We found this place in an ad. It advertised Korean BBQ grill, which we've had several times. It advertised that you only needed to oder two main dishes to sit on the grill side and unlimited sides. prices were high, but we figured it would fine due to unlimited veggie sides. We were a party of 4( two adults 2kids) and no one got full. They said that to sit there everyone had to order a main dish, which we did, the sides were not unlimited, and when we asked for more lettuce the staff got upset but complied with long delays between each lettuce serving. We did ask for more veggie sides that were meant to be unlimited, and never got any more than the initial serving. They have no real waiter/tress since the hostess did most of the walking back and forth. If you are NOT a big eater and like to spend your money with crappy service than this is the place for you. Otherwise I would think twice about this place. The food was decent, it wasn't terrible, we liked the rice. The meat was pretty good but again tiny portions (even for an 11yr old who usually doesn't eat much to begin). I gave it two stars because the food was not bad, but the price for the food amount and the false advertising was bad. They do not give free refills and at the end of the night, our bill was $158.
This place was empty and dark, floors were Sticky and made that sound when you walked. Chef or owner never said hi, never looked up It didn’t have that restaurant smell of food cooking, one lone server, that’s said half of what was on the menu was not being served, we left!
The food and service is somewhat decent, but it is very overpriced for the Korean BBQ. You are much better off going to the all you can eat Korean BBQ places in Jersey, where you can get more and better food for just a few dollars more.
The worst dining experience ever! Food was great but the service was horrible. Our waitress had no idea what customer service is! Never going here again!!
I ordered a Waygu and California roll and the avocado was so moldy and the owner of the restaurant does not treat his employees very nice and when I went to use the bathroom I saw a rat climb out of the toilet that was so nasty
I am a very honest and graceful person but it was very unfortunate what happened at the Blue Finn. My wife and I went in on our anniversary. The woman who was serving wasn’t there. We sat our table and waited for her to drive back in. It was about 6:30PM so prime time dinner time. It was pretty warm so I asked if they could let the air circulate a little. I was told they could not. We got our bill and they over charged us for sake. I pulled out the drink menu that they gave me to show them the price was different. At first the server told me “Well our prices went up so it is higher now…”. Instead of acknowledging the menu price was different she tried to put it back on me to see if I would just say “Okay” but I did not. I said “I mean I understand but you handed me a menu with this price..” They ended up honoring it. I appreciated that but the final issue happened to be the biggest issue…… I brought a coupon that literally said $30 for $15 on Korean BBQ, SUSHI, and much more. The server went onto say it wasn’t for the sushi. I said “the coupon literally says sushi on it..” She went to the back and then came out to grab the buser. The buser went to the back and you could hear the “boss” yelling. I told my wife at that moment “If the buser comes out and still tells us they won’t honor it I will just pay it. I’m not going to argue with them.” Sure enough the buser came out and said they would not able to honor it. As I was just about to pay, the boss was yelling in the back at the woman server. I got a little frustrated by that, because here we have a guest, who is currently sitting in a near empty restaurant, to eat your food, and you send the buser and server out to talk with the customer instead of yourself. I decided to get up and ask through the doorway to talk with him instead. He came out. I called him out for sending out other people to do his “dirty work”. He said “Well the coupon is wrong and you need to call the coupon place.”. He tried to shift the blame on someone else. I said “You are the one that gives the company permission to advertise for you, if you didn’t like the way they worded the advertisement you could tell them to fix it or take it down so you don’t deceive customers.”. He just continued to blame the coupon company instead of taking any responsibility himself. In the end I gave a big tip to the buser and server because it wasn’t about money. It was about a supposed “owner” and “business man” who handled the situation very poorly. By the time we left you could tell why they were short on business. Not to mention they turned away two paying customers that came in before 8pm. Incredible. I will never return here unless there is a dramatic change. I hope the coupon was worth it. Maybe one day there will be humility and they will change things up.
Unfortunately we will never be going here again. Food is definitely good. This was the second time that we've been here. First time service wasn't that good but food was great and the waitress had a great attitude and personality just wasn't very good at being a waitress. Last night not only did our waitress have no idea what she was doing she also had an attitude problem. We were a group of 7 people and sat at a grill table. I understand that everyone must order a grill entree if seated at a grill table. 1 person in our group was not interested in a grill entree but wanted to order a kitchen entree. The waitress told us no. Okay no problem, so we ordered an extra grill entree to cover the 7th person and then wanted to order a kitchen entree and she still said no. WTH! I tried explaining to her that we've already ordered enough grill entrees to cover the whole table, why can't we order something from the kitchen ( it's only going to make the bill bigger and equal a bigger tip). She just kept cutting me off and saying " it's not my rules it's the owner". So I asked to speak to the owner, since I saw him walking around and visiting tables anyway. He wouldn't come to our table but told the waitress that was fine ( thanks for permission to order food ). We had to ask the waitress several times for our drinks, water, lemon, more tea etc. She couldn't remember even though there was only 4 tables of customers. I ordered 2 yellowtail and scallion hand rolls she only brought 1 and it wasn't what I ordered. I saw the owner making sushi behind the sushi bar so I went over and asked him what he put in my roll. He said it was yellowtail and crab sticks. I told him what I ordered and his answer to me was that's what it says on the menu (I didn't order it off the menu) and then just went back to making sushi. He could have saved the night right there but wasn't interested. The waitress never came back to the table after we got our food except to bring the check. Never asked if everything was good, did we need anything, how was everything, nothing. I get the bill and they charged me for 2 hand rolls even though I only received 1. When my wife explained to her that we only got 1 she said that the owner had made one as a regular roll and it was on the plate with everyone else's sushi and so I still have to pay for it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Never even saw it. I lost it after that. Told the waitress to just take the money and ring me up so I can get out of here and never come back. Service sucked and so does the owner. He had several chances last night to make things right but chose not too, infact when the waitress was arguing with me about the check he ran into the kitchen and hid like a coward and left his clueless waitress to fight with me. I would not recommend this place even if it was the only restaurant in the world. No wonder why on a Saturday night the place never got more than 30% full. If I could give them 0 stars I would.
Waitress was extremely rude, she argued with me when I got the bill because I didn't know they don't give free refills. She tried to say she's never been anywhere that gives free refills and that she didnt know it was a common thing (yeah right). Food was not great and definitely not worth $20 (and that was with a coupon). Waitress also couldnt subtract 19.95 from 20 and tried to say my friend owed her a penny. She made a big deal about it too. This was my first and last time eating here. Mr. Sushi and Grill is way better!
Portions are far too large to REQUIRE a Korean BBQ entree per head at the table. We are small people (3 individuals i weigh under 100lbs) and would have done the 2 entree minimum for the table. But more food than that is just a waste of both the food and our money. Think about adding half portions with a smaller price margin. I'm sure you'll have less people just then around and walk back out
I’ve been here before once.. maybe 5 years ago and I told myself not to come back anymore. But since they changed part of the restaurant to a “korean bbq”, i said maybe let’s give it a second chance. Well guess what.. it sure is a one star still. The hostess was nice but the entire service was super slow. Portions are small and price was ridiculous. It ain’t korean bbq at all. Don’t even try.
Went on a Saturday 3pm to give them a last chance as the service was poor past few times. Had the Korean bar-b-que, again service was extremely slow. The wait to get anything is extremely slow. The food is delicious but the wait for them to bring out new banchan was way too long. These were cold items and should not take 20 minutes to replace. You also have to ask twice for them. Also no lettuce was served and no special sauce. Portions also have gotten smaller. With the banchan when it finally arrives you get 5 string beans in a bowl for four adult's. We will not be going back again.
What is the matter with these other reviewers. this place has no redeeming qualities. Sticky tables, smelly, and terrible atmosphere, topped off with the hostess/waitresses tacky play list blaring. Three out of the four appetizers were cold and they were all greasy. The three entrees (one entree shorted because the button stuck (lol) were hot but tasteless and not a balanced plate, I.e. beef teriyaki served on a bed of onions but that’s all no rice, no veg. Miso soup was a cloudy/white tasteless broth, the salads- ginger dressing was a watery lumpy mess. Oh cold (supposed to be hot) green tea tasting like coffee, slow service, they even messed with the soda fountain — just another Saturday night food disappointment in Orange County.
We we’re served 1 cold rice for two people. I ordered a neat Jim Beam and was given a tiny shot. I needed more than that to forget this awful food
The food wasn't bad, but my party was misinformed on the costs of food and drink and weren't compensated ending up with our group spending a collective 245 dollars. The food wasn't bad, but it was nowhere near good enough to justify the price or the treatment.
I had a distasteful experience at this restaurant. My husband and I walked into this establishment and asked to be seated for Korean BBQ. I was greeted by a young lady who was fairly new. Which is fine. I totally understand, we ALL have our first days at a new job. She sat us down and repeatedly forgot our orders from the drinks, appetizers, sides with entrees. Then although we were told at least ONE person can order Korean BBQ (as it was stated on the menu) i was told my husband and I needed to BOTH purchase in order to sit and eat. So we were moved to another table and ordered two entrees. The young lady asked if we wanted fried rice or white rice with our meal. My husband and I both responded fried rice (multiple times..due to the lack of memory). So imagine our faces when we were served white rice. A random woman came from the back and grabbed plates then walked off. I was so confused as to who she was and why both entrees sat on the table losing temperature as we waited for rice with our meal. I eventually got the rice however my entree was cold and I politely asked to reorder to go. When I got the bill I was charged extra for fried rice because it wasn’t a option. I would have never ordered fried rice if it wasn’t offered to me in the first place. The manager avoided talking with me and my husband and showed more attention to two other people eating Korean BBQ. I would have liked to at least get a apology for the cold food and the mix-ups on everything I ordered. I was very uncomfortable and not satisfied with the behavior of this establishment. We drove FAR to come and eat here as well as we were so excited to eat out again since the pandemic however the experience was bad. I would not recommend this place to friends and family.
Had high expectations but was very disappointed. Small portions definitely doesn’t equate to the price, my nephews kids meal didn’t even come with rice, just a slab of chicken. The lobster tail was barely edible plus I found a hair on it. I’d post a picture but I’m not sure how. My tastebuds definitely did not enjoy anything
Very small portions for the prices, but the food is good. I typically order to go but today’s as my first time dining in and the service was bad. They gave me my entree but forgot the side… I had to flag down the waiter to get it. Then the older Asian woman seen me wave to her and completely ignored me and walked to the front desk. I will not eat here again.
Just a bad experience. There was a mix up in the order that I placed and the server apologized for her mistake. We're human and make mistakes but the man who I assume is the owner was terrible about the entire thing. He yelled at the poor girl for everyone to hear telling her that she had to now eat the wrong order. Then instead of coming over to apologise, offer a complimentary anything, he completely ignored us. Not once did he looked at us. Never even spoke to us. We didn't exist to him. How are you the owner and don't even come over to speak with you customers since you were clearly upset about the wrong order. The food is definitely overpriced for the small portions. I would never go back or recommend. Our server was nice and pleasant and I left feeling bad for her having to work there.
I wouldn’t give this place one star. The food was spoiled. We ordered meat that was rotten, shrimps with intestinal tract, and octopus that was still frozen. We never receive our fried rice. To top it all off the amount of money you spend is not worth it. It was very disappointing. I think other customers should know what they are getting into before coming here.
Unfortunately disappointed with the service, food and ambience. Had high expectations with a Groupon deal. Left feeling gross and cheated. Lady at the front tried to rush me to a chair without explaining anything. When I asked for the sushi special she said I’m sitting at wrong table and they don’t have it. I settled on the shrimp bbq. The rice was old and crispy eww. Shrimp was tasteless even though it had some green sauce. All the sides were either too sweet, too salty to tasteless. Time to pay when I showed my Groupon/Local Flavor deal they said I couldn’t use it because it was for two people even through the owner acknowledged it doesn’t say that online anywhere! Finally my bill came to 31.85 with tax, when they they gave me my charged receipt it was 32.81 without explanation. I won’t be returning here again.
Aside from the very kind hostess who tried to make my experience better, I would NOT recommend going to this restaurant....EVER. These are the reasons: 1.) Out of their huge menu selection only a fraction of the foods are available (like maybe 20%). 2.) We waited in the restaurant for an HOUR for takeout (the restaurant was empty when we arrived and ordered). 3.) If you are paying by CC, this business will charge you the 2.9% CC fee, which a business usually incurs themselves yet they passed it onto the customer. 4.) All prices charged were not reflected in their menu. For example, they tried to charge us $7 for adding mango to a $3 avocado sushi roll. 5.) Probably the MOST important reason- the food was absolutely DISGUSTING. I am attaching photos for you to see. The sushi ingredients were not fresh, they used a very large amount of rice. I have had better sushi at a grocery store. Next, the vegetable platter (which we paid $19 for even though it was listed for $12 on menu). They said it was sautéed vegetables and tofu. I'm not sure what this is (see photo) but it was not that and extremely small portion. And lastly, the coconut shrimp appetizer, they did not even put a lid on the sauce, so it spilled everywhere and covered the entire appetizer. Do yourself a favor, and literally never go to this disgusting restaurant. From start to finish- bad service, bad food, bad experience.
