Great breakfast out with my family of 5. Our server Lexi is the best. She is so nice and attentive. Food was great! They even have Gluten friendly pancakes! They are so good and don't taste like cardboard. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

Just visited the Middletown, NY location. It was very crowded and expected a long wait. The manager, James, was helping cleaning tables and seating people. Our waiter, Neva, was quick to help us, take our order and serve us in a very pleasant way. I would recommend this location. Very pleasant experience.

Had Darius as our waiter. He was above and beyond good. He was polite, quick, helpful with the app. We called him King Darius. Too bad he only works weekends. He's a real asset. Thank you for your service

I want to say I had such a pleasant experience at this IHOP location and although the food was great what made it even better was our server Ada . From the moment we sat down she greeted us , she made sure to answer any questions that we had and even offered me to try a sauce to make sure that I would like it . I have been to many places and Ihops and this was one of the best serving experience that I have had . Just took my grandkids here, they wanted "breakfast" for dinner. We had such a nice time. Our server Krystal was so friendly and efficient. The manager(?) was also very kind and friendly. Despite a busy Saturday morning at IHOP , the wait time was accurately presented and kept. The server was very courteous and efficient. Food came out quickly,well prepared and in expected proportion.

The savory crepes were good, as they always are no matter what location I get them. Ada, our waitress at this location, was top notch. She went above and beyond and knew what I was going to ask before I could even ask the question.

I brought a group of senior citizens (10) to enjoy a meal at your restaurant. We had a wonderful time. The manager, James and the server, Niva made sure everything went smoothly. Haven't been here in years, went today taking time for myself. People think it's weird when you go in a restaurant alone, but I definitely needed some me time. I have to eat with tiny silverware (plastic) due to health issues. My waitress MAELYNN was absolutely AMAZING. She didn't judge me she was so kind and sweet. And checked on me constantly. We came from Jersey as this one is the closest in distance, so needless to say it was our first time. First and foremost the waitress ADA was awesome! She had the vibes. She didn’t miss one thing. Asking everything down to the last detail. Hot sauce, jelly for toast, crispy bacon, eggs well done….i mean she covered it all. Now that doesn’t mean it ends there….THE KITCHEN, did their thing! Because you can ask for all the details and it’s up to the kitchen to nail it! AND THEY DIDNT DISAPPOINT! Then after it goes back to ADA I’m sure making sure it was all right and out to the table and in my belly! The entire experience was perfect! Not all Ihops know how to do it all! The place was very clean! Listen I don’t go to ihops because of locations coming up short but this location in Middletown is on point! I had a cold foam coffee that was absolutely delish! Everything was perfect! Keep it up guys!

Our server Mary Bell ( hope I got her name right) was so sweet and really on top of things. I stopped the manager James to let him know how amazing she was- and was shocked to learn she was a new employee. She answered questions, coffee and water came right away- food was served quickly and she even checked in a couple times taking away empty dishes . Her smile was contagious.

Had about a 20-min wait and received a text when the table was ready. The Mexican Tres Leches pancakes were incredibly cinnamon-y; if you like cinnamon, I think they have more than the Cinnestack. Sooooooo loud, including a PA system that's set too high.

Today we had breakfast at this IHop in Middletown Lately we have taken note of servers when eating out. We must compliment Debbie. She was so friendly and professional that it made our experience there a reminder of how we should appreciate the staff when eating out. I must compliment James for taking care of a minor issue. Pancakes were excellent. Taking off one star just because a lot of classics weren't available any longer like peaches but all in all a good experience.

Honestly the food was pretty good. I had a western omelette with all the fixings and it was delicious. There was no wait when I went on a weekend which was nice. Average price per person was roughly $13. Typical breakfast joint / diner atmosphere. I would definitely recommend for a weekend morning quick bite if you don't feel like cooking.

It's okay. The person who seats you (no matter who is there when you walk in) looks at you like they're confused why you walked in. The servers are good and the food is well prepared, huge portions. The parking lot is shared so depending on how busy it is you might have some trouble.

Nice atmosphere with pretty good food compared to some other IHOPs. The service is always iffy. You can either be served immediately or wait 40 minutes to be seated/pick up food. There's never an in-between. If you come on a "good" day, you'll have a great time. If you come on a "bad" day...well, sorry.

The service 2 stars for the manager! Before us, after us every group had to wait 15-20 ms in the lobby.. When we finally got in, the place wasn't even 50% occupied! Many group didn't wait around. Our waitress was super kind and the food was fine.

It’s a good experience when it’s older adults working there but the younger adults/teens make it a very overstimulating environment and it makes it hard to sit and enjoy my meal. Nothing wrong with having a little fun at work but all the horsing around and the loud cursing that can be heard from the dining area is a little much. During my time there one of the employees who I assume just clocked out kept yelling “YO” across the room to catch the attention of one of the other employees then said “IM OUT SEE YOU TOMORROW” it was extremely unnecessary and caught the attention of most of the customers there too. This IHOP truly needs some upgrades, meaning staff. I went, and it was not a lot of people, and it took them 20 minutes to get my food. And when I received it, it was wrong. I asked for French fries not home fries. They gave me home fries which later got my French fries but my eggs was cold to eat with then. I have to say my French toast was good.

The staff are all very nice, hardworking, and attentive. The food comes out very quickly and has always been great. Prices are what you'd expect for an Ihop. The cleanliness could be better: The dinning area is okay, but not great. The bathrooms are a war zone, take my word on it and hold it if you can.

I’ll leave and go to another restaurant because I’m waiting for so long. Some times I wait for the food. My husband and I haven't been to the ihop in Middletown in almost a year. It looks like the staff is all new. The waitress was very nice but after she brought our food, she disappeared. My food was delicious but my husband's eggs were runny. We had to go to the front counter to pay. Waitress never returned to give us a receipt. This will be the last time.

Went to IHOP in Middletown for the first, and last time. I ordered the Big Steak Omelet. While portion size was very good, the steak itself was like rubber and very hard to chew and many pieces couldn't be chewed and swallowed. I did not complain because I am not going back. Our server was very good and attentive. The place appeared clean and the store was what you would expect for an IHOP or similar related type eatery.

The food was good as it always is. The service however was horrendous. It took over 10 minutes before someone came to our table. The rest of the time we were the forgotten table. Drinks never brought, condiments never brought, napkins never brought and a litany of other things. I'll still go back because most of the staff is great however I'll hope I never have the unfortunate luck of having that server again.

My spicy poblano omelet was just folded egg with some ingredients on top. I fairly regularly go to Ihop, and this location failed to meet Ihop standards. An omelet is supposed to be loaded with ingredients inside and some extras on top as a dressing. Otherwise, the service was fine, and the place was clean. With other options available, I would not return to the location.

I recently visited for breakfast and was disappointed to learn that the gluten-friendly pancakes are no longer available. When I asked why, I was told they can no longer accommodate people with gluten intolerance and that it was too expensive to continue offering the option. It’s disheartening to hear that, especially since many people rely on gluten-friendly choices to feel safe and included when dining out. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable eating at a place that makes an effort to serve a variety of dietary needs. I hope the restaurant reconsiders offering inclusive options in the future.

Check your receipts. Our server added her own 18% gratuity to the check before we even got the bill. And no not a large party. Then when I paid the bill it asked if I wanted to add another tip. Ridiculous.

The music was very loud. I asked the waitress to turn it down and nothing changed. I measured the decibel’s and it was 85, 95 is considered in the max range. We have been going there for years and know the owner Fran. We will think twice before going there again. Fran is a nice guy and I haven’t seen him there lately, hopefully he is aware of the situation.

It looked pretty so I took a picture of the crepes but it turned out to be crispy on the edges and it threw me off, it ruined the texture. I had separated the crust from the rest of it but having to do that was an annoyance at best. Another thing I ordered was a hot chocolate and the whipped cream split apart after I stirred it, by that point my dinner was ruined. The friend I came with had ordered hash-browns and they were crispy on the outside but had a soft mashed potato like inside, it clashed but after that didn’t get any worse.

Food is always great at any IHOP BUT this location cannot get it together when it comes to orders for people in restaurant and orders for Uber eats. It seems that the Uber eats orders are more important and are given priority. Expect to wait a very long time for your food after ordering in actual restaurant.

We were told the wait was 30 minutes to be seated but actually was over an hour, coffee was cold, no half and half, lemon crepes not available, and last but not least no toilet paper in the restroom! My mom, myself and my son went to enjoy a sit down meal after a long and stressful day! We did wait a few minutes to be seated, but when greeted by Jubilee we were greeted with a smile, and enthusiasm. When we were seated, she apologized ahead of time if there’s any delay because she was the only server that night and it was her first time! (I was impressed with that and overall she did an amazing job). She was attentive, professional and overall a pleasure. My son is Autistic and can sometimes be a little much but she was so accepting of him and went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. All was well until we had our food dropped off by the manager (I forgot her name), when she came to the table there wasn’t even so much as a hello how’s everything, she quite literally rushed through setting plates on the table and left with out even asking if there was anything else she could get us! My mom and I both asked for over easy eggs and well the eggs were not cooked so we did send them back only to have them returned cooked but they gave us the same already cut eggs! Everything else after that went great until it was time to check out, I gave my mom my military ID to receive the discount that I have received every other time I’ve gone there, only to come out of the restroom to my mom telling me the discount is only on the service members meal( this is the first time I have ever heard this). Again we were dealing with the manager, the whole time she was smug and had an attitude. Honestly, To keep a customer happy it takes 2 more moments to add the discount to the entire bill and explain the policy going forward! Instead she had an attitude and was outright rude! Just a little more, I’m sorry yea while the service member has served the family of that service member also sacrifices a lot often times taking over their life they left behind while deployed etc! They deserve the discount just as much as the member! Lastly, this review has nothing to do with our server Jubilee, she was nothing short of awesome and deserves praise and a raise! If I could give no star I would. The service here is HORRIBLE. I was seated 5-10 minutes after my arrival. My server came over 10 minutes later and took my order. Coffee, mango spritzer, chicken and pancakes. He returned 12 minutes later with the coffee carafe, a full mug of coffee with the filled saucer of half and half and sugar on top of the coffee mug (covering the coffee) and the spritzer. First of all, why would he bring me the coffee like that? Disgusting! Then I sat there waiting for my food 1hour and 1/2. A family of 4 came in the same time as me. Had their food and was ready to leave. A group of 3 and a baby, came in long after I did. Received their food. So many people came in and out after me and received service. But me, 1 person couldn’t. There wasn’t even a wait at the door, no line at all. This is and was unacceptable service. I even watched a show on Netflix while I waited. The server finally came over and said. “ I know you’ve been waiting a long time, your food will be out soon” Then he walked away. That was 5 minutes before i decided to leave. I payed for the cup of coffee and left. The manager is useless. The staff, I don’t know what to say about them. There was plenty of them but no service. I will never visit this restaurant again. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. DON’T EAT AT THIS PLACE EVER.

Absolutely awful experience. Coffee was cold and extremely watered down, hot chocolate had chunks of the chocolate powder still it, hash browns were basically burnt and food was just overall not good. Definitely would not come back and would not recommend

I would just like to state the this review is based off of the three minute interaction with the host. He was exceptionally rude and his attitude increased throughout the experience and he was point blank mean as well. We walked in after lunch time and asked for a table for two, the dining was less than half full( the dining room and kitchen are both fully visible from the host stand). He said it would be a ten minute wait with an attitude and I put my name of the list and asked why the wait was so long he said he only had 3 servers and there was two tables ahead of us. We agreed to wait but then he told us the time would be longer like we were being punished for asking and we decided to leave.

Without any notification on Google or anything and they even have their DoorDash available so you can order BUT they’re closed today from 6 AM to 3 PM for a sprinkler inspection. Just drove an extra 15 minutes to get there and they are closed. Thanks.

The service I received today or I should say the lack of service I received was horrendous. I love IHop and I don’t live in Middletown so I travel to eat here. We were sat for 10 minutes and nobody came by or even said anything to us. A gentleman was sat next to us and he told them he was ready to order upon sitting down and he received a beverage and his meal was soon to come out meanwhile we haven’t even gotten a passing glance. I got the attention of a food runner or server and asked “Do we have a server” to which she said yes and she’s the only server at the moment so give her some time. I waited another 5 minutes before deciding to leave because the same way that man got a beverage and order taken by someone who worked there we could have at least been given a water or told upon seating that the server is overwhelmed at the moment is by herself. Then upon getting up and leaving I hear that same busser or whatever she is say “Your table is leaving they couldn’t wait i guess”. How RUDE! I ignored her but I should not have been able to hear you talking about me as if you didn’t care if we stayed or leave. very unprofessional I can’t even believe the experience i had today.

This place is ridiculous, they wouldn’t let us sit in a completely empty restaurant all because they had one chef. I genuinely was mind boggled by how idiotic of a statement that was. One chef means you can’t sit in the restaurant and wait?

This was the worst service ever. My family had to wait 40 minutes for a table. When we finally got a table had to wait 20 minutes for a server to take our order. They didn't have half of the things on the menu. Had to wait an additional 30 minutes for our order. When it arrived it was cold. I will NEVER again visit ihop. It can blow up as far as I'm concerned.

I literally came here with my family to eat expecting a nice afternoon however our waitress was either too busy or just plain rude. Customer service here varies, there’s better breakfast places with greater service.

We were the only customers in the restaurant, yet our entire meal arrived ice cold. The bacon tasted pre-cooked and oily, the pancakes were cold, and the hash browns had a strange aftertaste and were mushy in the center. The only hot item was the tea. The staff were sitting and talking—which I wouldn’t have minded if the food had been prepared properly—but I genuinely don’t understand how our order came out so poorly. Extremely disappointed.

Why open 24/7 for???They didn’t allow us to enter The location because they said they had an important big order. What about the customers that came to eat so since there’s a big order we cannot eat, unacceptable!

Stopped in here on our way south. Restaurant wasn’t busy but it still took them over 7 mins to even greet us at the host stand. The place smells like a mix of dirty mop water and urine. The floors was dirty too. We ordered food after 10mins they said they were out of broccoli, so my husband took spinach instead…I ordered a chicken sandwich, when it came out there was just the sandwich no fries, the server said there’s no fries left…..the most basic ingredient and it was burgers on special the same day..but no fries and to be told as the food was being served. I took the onions rings but I don’t even eat onion rings but my husband had a few. This place need a serious clean, a chef who knows how to order and servers who aren’t half asleep.

I’ve eaten here several times over the past 15 years. My husband and I had breakfast there today We were seated immediately because the restaurant was not busy at all. Our server was Ada C. She never introduced herself, had an attitude when my husband ordered the breakfast special. We ordered at 0955 and received our food at 10:30! It was ice cold. Never once did she offer a reason why we waited so long or even apologize for the wait. We gave her less than the 15% tip because my husband is a nice person. Personally she didn’t deserve anything. To add, floors have been filthy the last two visits and we had to request the table be wiped from the previous guests.
