I’ve been following Forbidden Llama on Instagram for a while and finally decided to try it. The drive was a little over an hour, so I went in with high hopes. We went for brunch without a reservation and were seated pretty quickly since it wasn’t packed. The DJ played good music the entire time and the brunch vibes were great. The music was loud, but expected. Our waitress, Jennifer, was very friendly and attentive. Drinks were good, and the $3 mimosas are a great deal. The food was good overall. My chicken lomo had great flavor and a really good sauce, and my friend’s enjoyed their meal as well. We also ordered two appetizers that were really good, and even got a ceviche that wasn’t on the brunch menu, which we really enjoyed. One downside was the Hennessy shots, which tasted a bit watered down and was a little disappointing. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and brunch vibes. If I’m in the area again, I’d come back to try more food and drinks.

Came for bday brunch reservation with a group of 8. Food and drinks were delicious! Loved the Sugar Cookie Martini, Jalea Roll and rice bowl. Service was a little slow, considering we were one of few tables on a Sunday afternoon. Music was super loud, but that's the vibe.

Update- I went again for Brunch, wow still a vibe. The food was much better, the service was still good, and the Dj was killing it. I went for the brunch party and what a party it was, the music was good, a mix of old school rnb, reggaeton& hiphop. The drinks are good, the food was ok, could have been better but they make up for it with the service. They have a swing table, I had to try, I will be back to try something else on the menu, but I would definitely be back.

Came here during the week for a birthday dinner with my sister. Food was good ordered the skewers. Drinks were on point. Ordered the margarita flight and wasn’t disappointed. Only thing I would suggest is for background music to be turned down alittle bit. Couldn’t even have a conversation with out trying to yell over the music.

This definitely has a nightclub setting for a Friday night, great Djs, and amazing drinks. I had the steak skewers which were delicious. Service was a little slow at first but picked up. There was 6 of us and our bill came out to 277, a round of shots, quite a few drinks, a tower, and food for all 6. Didn’t seem like an overcharge but I didn’t review the bill.

Today was my first visit to The Forbidden Llama. When I walked in I can say I was pleased with the set up, decor and the Dj was great. I was disappointed with the limited menu as I looked for the menu online before coming to the restaurant and it wasn'tthe same as what was offered during my visit. The food I would rate a 3 out of 10. The portions were small and it could use more flavor. The drinks a 6 out of 10. If your looking for a good place for drinks, music and photos go for it but food wise they need more work

I had a decent time here. Instagram definitely makes the space look larger and more entertaining, but it was very quiet and small inside. The food/beverage menu options are very limited and dont provide not much to choose from but the food itself was flavorful. The drinks were on point and very good. It’s very selfie friendly and vibey with good music. Hard to find parking & the actual location itself because the sign outside is very small but overall it was OK..

Decor looks DIY like someone went to tjmaxx and 5 below and said forgot about it. Food was good nothing to wow you Service was not the best. they seem really unorganized. When we walked in we stood at the door for at least 10mins before someone acknowledged us. After being seated it was same another 10mins-15mins before someone came and took are order. all of this wasn’t that much of a issue as I have patience but I had to write this review after seeing other tables come in after us get there food before us. I had to flag down are waiter to see what was going on. They had some big tables but it wasn’t that packed

The vibe leans more nigh club than restuarant. Came with a group of friends for dinner. I had pollo saltado, which arrived cold. The rice was pretty good but the meal as a whole was not very good. We ordered filet mignon sushi which also came out cold and was not very good. The skirt steak was a very good portion. Although not cooked as ordered. The service and atmosphere badly lacking. The drinks were horrible. We had two margaritas that both had a major amount of salt in the drink itself. Not sure if that happened when the rim was salted but it made the drink horrible. Everything was so bad we didn't even bother to send the drinks back. It's a shame when you really want to support a local place like this but it seems they're not even trying.

On Instagram, this place looks amazing, but the experience didn’t live up to the hype. The light for the 360 photo booth wasn’t working. I also took one bite of the pancakes and let the waitress know I didn’t like them. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she blamed the temperature and said,” you guys were taking pictures for like 30min before touching them” we did take take advantage of the photo ops l before our food arrived however “I don’t know if you’ve ever made pancakes before.” She then called the manager, who did remove the item from the bill. Unfortunately, as this was my first visit, the overall experience was disappointing. I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

The service was so slow it took 30 minutes just to get my drink, there was only 3 servers working on a Saturday night. The food came out cold and also took about 45 minutes to come out. I ordered a Caesar salad and it tasted soapy. When it was time to pay they put another tables food on our bill. Music was so loud I couldnt hear the person next to me, so ridiculous wouldn’t come again

Placed looked run down not like the photos or video on social media, needs up keeping and a major clean. Mirrors were dirty and so were our tableware. Food was either over or under cooked. Some parts cold of the food were cold and some hot.
