The Rusty Bucket BBQ and Tavern

I was very impressed with the atmosphere and friendliness of the wait staff. It is somewhat expensive, but what really good BBQ isn't? I had the 2 meat plate with brisket and ribs. The ribs were outstanding but the brisket was very fatty, though tasty. Try the spicy beans. They are really good. And to finish it off, the banana pudding is excellent!

Coco was our waiter and She was great! We got brisket chili and It was delicious, Along with the fried pork skins and Queso!

The concert we attended was great. The staff was polite and helpful. Restroom area outdoor section was actually clean and stocked! Food was pretty good for a bar/ grill and not over priced. We had a great time and felt pretty safe security was present and attentive.

Cool place and cool location. They were out of food when we got there but it smelled good and everybody said the food was good before they ran out. We got good service and pretty bartenders. Parking was not too hard but might have to park across the street and walk a little. All in all a pretty sweet place!

This is restaurant is awesome! The atmosphere is inviting, the staff are always super friendly, they have a huge patio, and the BBQ is the best in the Permian Basin! We recently ate there and they had added some new things to the menu. I must say the pickle fries are the best fried pickles you will find on this planet!!! The green beans are always amazing and the variety of meats are always delicious! You also have to save room for their cobbler or banana pudding, and if you don't...get some to-go!

The Bucket is always great food and a fantastic atmosphere. The staff is friendly, fun and their service is top notch. I always recommend this place to my out of town vendors and friends for music, drinks and amazing food.

The Brisket is perfect. Mac n cheese was my choice of side and it was on point. Prices are very reasonable. Service was awesome our waitress Cameron was freaking fabulous she kept the drinks coming and had a contagious smile!!!!

Some of the best BBQ and great appetizers in Midland. Aswell as a HUGE assortment of beverages, anywhere from fountain sodas to teas and alcoholic drinks! Everything is fairly priced for the quality and quantity you receive, Clean atmosphere with an awesome styled eatery and bar. The service was wonderful and everyone was friendly! They play a nice selection of music aswell as have live performances along with an outside rear patio area. Plenty of parking outside aswell as easy to find from Industrial Road. Expect to spend roughly 15$ per person for a complete meal and drink. 5/5 Stars. Highly recommend!

First concert and first time eating here. Loaded nachos were good, ask for chopped fresh jalapeños. The macaroni and cheese was fantastic! Beer prices are fair. Great small venue for a concert. The woman's restroom was clean, which is a huge plus for such a large crowd.

The service was good, the atmosphere nice but the majority of the food I ordered was flavorless. The pulled pork I got was mostly fat while the pulled pork my husband got was dry. The baked beans are canned pork and beans cooked with a jalapeño and sausage. The potato salad is just potatoes, mayo, mustard and egg with no relish or discernable seasoning but okay, the mac n cheese was pretty good, the smoked chicken was okay, but my sausage had cheese inside which I did not expect. If I go back again. I would just go for drinks or the atmosphere and probably not order the BBQ again.

The bartender was ok, the music was good, but I was disappointed with the brisket it was dry not even hot tbh none of the meat seems fresh and had no flavor unless it was drowned in sauce. I hope it was a fluke seems like it could be a great spot

I was a little disappointed because they were out of a lot of stuff! No fries, Mac and cheese, no mint for mojito, no queso and idk what else. Our food was decent , but cold. I had to ask the waitress to warm my food up.

Interesting place! Went with a big group today for lunch. Service was good considering our large party size. The BBQ was not the style I prefer, so the food was okay. Prices are on par with other restaurants with similar offerings.

Not the place to eat, more of a drinking and live music place. Went to eat, 740pm, tried to charge me cover for band at 9pm... Was told if I stay past 8pm, then automatic cover charged to bill... Funny, sat next to people at bar who sat right after I did, they were not told of cover or that it was to be added to tab... Go to Mac's, better atmosphere, service. Didn't have food at Rusty, but was not impressed with menu either... Was excited too, to check place out.

Not very good BBQ. The brisket was dry and basic. Ribs were underwhelming with mediocre sauce. The fries were horrible previously frozen junk. The sweet ice tea was on point, though. Probably why 95% of the people in the place were drinking rather than eating.

After all the advertising on the radio we were definitely looking forward to trying a new restaurant here in Midland. Upon entering the restaurant the sign on the door clearly stated to remove your mask before entering the restaurant. During a pandemic this definitely was concerning. No staff had masks on. We should’ve left then. The wait staff was less than welcoming. After going to the bathroom and seeing a sign on the door it was clear that the LGBTQ community would not be welcome in this establishment. We ordered our food and after waiting 45 minutes we received lukewarm barbecue. We definitely don’t mind the waiting, However we were the only patrons there who hadn’t already been served and most barbecue establishments have the meat and sides already cooked so food just needs to be plated, apparently they barbecued fresh for us that day ha ha. Definitely a disappointment. Steer clear if you’re LGBTQ or Black I definitely don’t think we are welcome.

We went here to watch Stoney LaRue play and had the worst experience I've ever had at a place. We got there a little early so we could eat. The ladies at the front were super sweet and let us we could sit inside outside to order food. We went to the bar and got a drink and then We sat outside and waited for about 30 minutes before I flagged a server down to ask for menus. All while they were serving every table around us and would just look at us and turn the other way. When she finally brought menus it took her another 15 minutes to come back and take our order. I asked of she could get us another round and she said you should probably just go to the bar and get them yourself because I'm too busy. I have never felt so uncomfortable in place in my life. If we hadn't bought the tickets to watch the concert we would have left. I used to be a server/bartender and would never treat anyone the way they made us feel. Needless to say we won't be back.

I went here a few years ago and it was great. This time was terrible. It took 4 of us almost two hours to get seated get food ordered and brought to us. The place was not busy at all. They were out of brisket completely. The music was extremely loud. The waitress kept waking past us saying she's sorry and she'll be right back with us. It was absolutely ridiculous. Not ever going back here. This was at 1 pm to 3 pm on a Saturday.

We didn't even get to go in because they were closed for a private event. What a bummer because my fiance has been trying to take me there for a while. ☹️ Update: Another weekend my honey suggested we go here. Another day it's closed. I'm over even trying. Finally getting inside to find a subpar day on their cooking would just make it worse. Disappointing. No venues booked that I know of. Sundays are a restaurant's biggest day for revenue in Midland. (Speaking from previous managerial experience.)

Went to a concert here for the first time and will NEVER RETURN!!! It was never communicated that numerous parking spots close to the venue were tow zones. There were people watching and waiting for the main concert to start before any cars were towed. We were one of at least two dozen cars that this happened to. Knowing that other events have been held here a warning could have been mentioned to everyone coming in the door.

They advertise being open until 3pm however when we went in st 2pm, we were informed the kitchen closed at 2pm and did not serve us.
