Id give 4.5. got fried mushrooms=the best I've had in a long time, Garlic mashed potatoes=good,Sweet corn=good,,,, chicken fried steak= wish I had picked something else cuz it wasn't very good..don't get me wrong it was ok enough just with everything else being so good it was a let down. The staff is friendly and the establishment is interesting.

I discovered this cool little spot recently, and while I'm eager to return and sample more of their menu, the standout for me was definitely the salmon – it was simply great! The gumbo, on the other hand, was cool but didn't quite hit the mark of greatness. The grilled tilapia fell into the 'okay' category, but it couldn't outshine the deliciousness of the salmon. On a positive note, the customer service experience was excellent, rounding off the overall visit quite nicely. Looking forward to exploring more culinary delights on my next visit!

The food as real good. The portions were kinda small compared to the last one I ate at a few months back. The Service was good after I finally convinced them to allow my service dog on a outside patio that knowone was on. I would still recommend this place

Just stopped by Clear Springs Restaurant on 191 in Midland and had a solid meal. I ordered the chicken fried steak, and it was cooked perfectly — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and smothered in a flavorful gravy. The portion was generous, and it definitely hit the comfort-food spot. The service was friendly and welcoming, making it feel like a classic country diner where locals like to gather. It was a little busy, so the food took a few minutes longer than I expected, but it was worth the wait.

While my seat was a little awkward, facing the bathrooms. The waitstaff was very attentive and helpful. Food was served in a timely manner. I did lack a refill on my drink but one glass was just the right amount. Overall one of those home cooked meals places that serves good food with great staff at the right price. Just do away with the bathroom table.

This is a theme-type restaurant, in my opinion. It has This western charm with high ceilings, artifacts, and western type cuisine. I can't complain about the food, it was excellent. The service was questionable. We were seated right away, but we had to have been there 10 minutes before someone finally came by to take our order. I didn't get her name, but she was so business like and wasn't even willing to engage in social conversation. Even after we got our food, you would ask her for something, and she would respond while walking away and not even stopping to make conversation with you. I was in the middle of a sentence, and she was gone. This was at about 2:00 pm, after a lunch rush. It wasn't that busy, but it would have been nice if the waitress would slow down enough to at least care what the customer needs. As a theme restaurant, it would have been nice to have a better experience, but I don't think we'll be back to this regional chain despite the excellent ambiance and food. Customer service is very important to me, and if it is to you, think about it

Onion rings are a most! Contrary to the recommendation, I did not ordered the a fried dish and went with the burger. For my surprise, it was much better than I expected. I will order it again. Finished the meal with a key lime pie that was delicious.

First experience. The girl who seated us look bother and upset a mood killer. They lady that waited on us was great. She was help and got our order and refills throughout our meal. Very friendly. The food I really can’t say, but I did enjoy I can not say it was great or the best but it was good. I did feel a little out of place if you look at the pictures you will understand why. Thank you!

I had the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they were really good. I also had the seafood grill and the fish was pretty good, but the shrimp that were wrapped in bacon was not fresh at all, like it smelled rotten. The broccoli that I got in place of the rice was not fresh. It was brown like it had been sitting out. I asked for a side of the etouffe sauce that they put on the fish, but I dont know what the greasy bowl of mess was that he gave me.

Absolutely, I will elaborate. I came in during lunchtime and the service was very good — attentive and friendly. However, the food itself missed the mark. I ordered a salad before my meal and noticed some lettuce that appeared borderline expired with brown leaves. For my entrée, I ordered a sirloin with broccoli and beans, but received corn instead of beans, which I chose not to complain about. The bigger issue was that both the broccoli and the steak were extremely bland, with no noticeable seasoning. I ended up using Heinz 57 on the steak, and I’ve always felt that if a steak requires sauce, it isn’t worth the price. Overall, good service, but food quality and execution need improvement.

We had lunch there today. When we walked in a young lady by the name of Brittnay W grabbed 2 menus and said “that’s way” in a very unpleasant manner. She took off so fast we couldn’t keep up with her. She threw the menus on a table and went to another group of people. She came back and finally asked us if we wanted drink or appetizers. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. We never got the appetizer, and we found that she never placed the order. We also ordered fried oysters. She came back to our table and rudely told us they were out if oysters what else did we want? She was very disrespectful. She brought the wrong tea and didn’t like it when we asked her to take it back. That girl needs a lesson on how to treat customers.

Gone so downhill the past couple of years. Been coming here since I was in a stroller, and the last time the food was actually good was like 2 years ago. I want so badly to keep loving this restaurant, but I’m done. As someone who has worked in restaurants since I was 17 I can tell when the management isn’t doing their job- they were extremely rude not only to me, but their hardworking servers. Very sad to see. If I could rate this 0, I would! I’m not sure how this was rated top Seafood award. Food was horrible. Fried pickles were excessively salted, they weren’t even edible. Ordered a combo plate. I noticed a plate that could’ve been mine(I was hoping it wasn’t)sitting under the warmer for about 10 mins. The waitress comes by and says “we’re just waiting on catfish” as if I had not seen what was going on. I wanted to say something but my husband doesn’t like complaining. Sure enough they top the catfish on that plate that I dreaded to be mine. You could tell everything on that plate had just been sitting there. Rubbery fries and crawfish. Shrimp warm temp. Save yourself the disappointment!
