The food was absolutely amazing and really felt like home- the people and service was amazing, I spilt my maple syrup down myself and they immediately helped me sort it out and got me a new one. They support two local charities ensuring the safety of stay cars and supporting the welfare of donkeys. Such an amazing experience and atmosphere. The food portions were amazing and the sizing of the food was so good. 10/10 definitely going again
We have visited here three times now and there's a few good reasons for our return... Banging breakfast (hot, fresh, tasty as hell, and very good value for money)... Lunch-time menu is just as good and there's something for everyone... The setting outside is great, as is the speed of service. Massive credit to both the owners & staff for giving it's customers a great experience, thank you!! Please give it a try, you won't regret! Same time next year guys 😁
A great spot for breakfast in Mijas Pueblo. The food and coffee are very good, especially the pancakes and scones, and the prices are reasonable given the quality of the food and service and that you are in a very turistic place. The waitress was very kind and helpful. Note that it is often busy, but the wait is worth it.
Lovely British run cafe with specials like the “Cornish pasty* “ I had with chips and beans for about 10.50. (*Whilst it was lovely and homemade and I’ve no complaints, in fact a more accurate description would be a meat pasty or even Yorkshire pasty as it wasn’t cramped on the side but the top and the filling wasn’t quite exactly Cornish ). But that’s just so you don’t get too excited and disappointed if you are from Kernow! Great option of a big mug of coffee too and the carrot cake was also delicious (nice touch, served with ice cream which looked & tasted like clotted cream Cornish ice cream - delicious! ).
Fantastic selection of homemade food, lovely staff, had the burger brilliant with proper homemade chips,, book a table very busy, will be back
Brilliant little cafe up in Mijas. Brilliant staff and Brilliant food. I know it was November when we went and it was in the shade. Had to buy a hoodie from the shop next door it was that cold with the breeze but really enjoyed it. Couldn't wait to have another pint in the sun before heading back to Toromallinos on the bus. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ALL.
Day out to Mijas with the wife, stopped for breakfast we had the small lemon. mid morning then as we enjoyed the breakfast so much we retuned to have afternoon tea with warm scones jam and Cornish cream later in the day. Have to complement this place with great food both morning and afternoon. The set up was spotlessly clean and friendly staff spoke to a guy who worked there from Stoke in the UK.
We took my mother in law for Mothers Day lunch. The food was superb and great value for money. The service was good and we were made to feel really welcome. Thank you The Lemon Tree!!
We come to the lemon tree every time we visit Mijas Pueblo. They are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. Also the food is great, mainly ate breakfast, but never disappointed. We love being in Spain but nice to have a little bit of home on your holiday. I hope the lemon tree is there for years to come. Love it xxxx
The service & food was absolutely amazing, the staff are so friendly, the Sunday lunch was delicious. It is such a beautiful place to sit and eat your food, I could not think of anywhere better to eat than this place in sun. Thanks again and we are already looking forward to calling back. I visit Mijas 3-4 times a year and always call in here. Afternoon tea is a delight Breakfast/brunch menu is tasty, haven't tried all dishes yet but slowly working my way through the menu. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful nothing is too much trouble for them. On my last visit had breakfast bagel but really wanted cream tea as well, unfortunately I didn't have time so they very kindly made me up a takeaway cream tea so that I could enjoy it later. 2 beautiful sultana scones with butter, jam and pot of clotted cream. Thank you so much for your kind attention and my afternoon tea was delightful. Would recommend to anyone
Welcomed very warmly by Michael and his team like old friends. Even prepared us sandwiches for our trip home as they said the airport food wasn't great (it didn't look it either).
Went to the Lemon Tree restaurant on a recommendation and we were very happy we did. We had the fish and chips, absolutely beautiful. Had a conversation with the owner really nice person with a great personality. Also, a great location to sit back and watch the world go by. I highly recommend a visit and best wishes to the owners for the future. Hope to visit again soon.
We stopped in here for a quick lunch on our walking tour of Mijas. The BLT I had was delicious, fresh bread, quality meat and fresh salad on the side. The staff was extra friendly and attentive. I would return for sure.
We stopped here yesterday. The kids ate chips and Cajun Chicken. The food was excellent, we got there just before the kitchen was closing and they were still happy to serve us. I had a couple of beautifully chilled Pints and the missus had a couple of wines. The staff were friendly and the location is superb. If you are ever lucky enough to visit Mijas, then the Lemon Tree is an essential visit.
Best food and service I’ve had so far on our holiday to Mijas. All Homemade fresh food and fresh orange juice to die for. Great service from the staff and owner - made us feel really welcome. Great job guys keep it up, coming from a fellow chef …
Wonderful , friendly cafe with the best food and service.! Craig and Michael are perfect hosts. Love the Sunday roasts, and bagel breakfasts. Our dog, Budweiser, loves his sausage that they kindly prepare for him, too. Definitely recommend!!
After wondering around Mijas all morning, my wife and I decided to have lunch in the Lemon Tree, and despite the team being under lots of pressure from being packed out, the very kind gentleman owner took the time to welcome us in with a smile and explained that the wait for food might be a bit longer than normal but we were welcome to come in. We appreciated that and said we would be happy to wait, and ultimately was delighted we did. The food, which actually came out in very quick time, was absolutely amazing, so fresh and tasty. Service was great and we loved the 80’s music in the background. If you’re in the area then I would highly recommended this place.
I visited this lovely little place today with some of my family. We really enjoyed our food, I had a Caesar salad and it was really tasty. Great service from the owner mixed with a great dose of humour. Thanks for having us. Highly recommend
Great place for brunch/breakfast - we had omelettes and coffee, both of which were very nice. Staff very friendly and attentive. Nice location which looks out across the square. 10/10 and will absolutely be returning to try the cream tea.
We had lunch here last Sunday and would definitely recommend the new lemon tree. Michael is a brilliant host and Craig a brilliant chef. I had Craig's homemade salmon and broccoli quiche which was delicious as were the chicken, mushroom and cheese wraps. The triple cooked chips were an added bonus. Very reasonably priced and a great atmosphere. We will be back!!!!!
We are frequent visitors to Mijas but had never visited the New Lemon Tree so we decided to give it a try... we were NOT disappointed! On arrival the place was fairly busy but we were soon greeted by a very friendly lady who took our order straight away. We soon had our fish and chips on the table and I have to say these were the best chips I'd ever had, hand peeled as well(hope my wife doesn't read this). The cod was very tasty too and all very reasonably priced. The two owners, Craig and Michael, came and had a chat with us on their break which was nice and we had a right old natter about everything and anything. I highly recommend the New Lemon Tree and we will definitely be back soon. Nick and Alyson Colchester.
Visited numerous times on our stay in Mijas. The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly tucked away in the corner of the square in Mijas it is definitely worth a visit. We were a group of friends with different eating requirements and we all agreed the food was really good. All the ingredients used were fresh and high quality couldn't fault the place enjoyed every visit and every meal big thanks to Lemon Tree staff. It does get busy and the kitchen closes at 3pm although cream teas, cakes, drinks etc are available until 5pm. Would definitely visit again good food and good company great time thanks
Great food!! Well worth a visit for both the food and service but do book as it’s always busy!
Excellent food and service. Very busy but you can book a table and the host is very accommodating with a great personality. They work nonstop but always have a smile on their faces
Just a great wee place for brunch. Food is excellent and staff friendly and chatty. Go there everything we are in the Pueblo.
Just returned from mijas we visited the lemon tree on a few occasions and everything was excellent from food to service and everything in-between Craig and the team give a 5 star service will definitely be back
Enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Lemon Tree. I had honey mustard chicken with green beans and rice, delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend
We went up to Mijas this morning had a really nice breakfast in the lemon tree with my family . Service and food was 5 Star the owner come out and had a chat with us would highly recommend the breakfast excellent value for money . They also do cream tea for 2 . I will definitely come back next time I’m here
Myself and my siblings spent a week in Mijas visiting The Lemon Tree several times. The afternoon tea was suburb and excellent value for money. Micheal and Craig are the loveliest couple and Micheals banter was on point🤣 the place was packed out whenever we were there. Thanks gents and see you both soon. Sarah xx
What a success this NEW MENU is going to be ! Mijas Mash, perfect for the cooler winter days. Yummy creamy mash with cheese if you like and real quality bangers. Add red wine gravy and peas and it’s perfection. Absolutely delicious. Thanks Craig and Michael.
Thank you so much for making my Mum’s 60th birthday lunch such a memorable experience today! We visit Mijas Pueblo every year without fail, and our trips would not be complete without coming to see you. Thanks again, and see you in 5 weeks! xx
Nice people and in a great location. Not hard to make sandwiches and soup, but it was good and their menu is a nice change from the usual restaurants, with different offerings during the day. Breakfast served until 13:00.
My wife and I had a lovely full English breakfast here. Probably the best Ive had in Spain. Everything was lovely. Bacon was delicious and sausages were great quality. Fried eggs were very tasty too. Overall a great experience. Staff great too. Well worth a visit.
Wonderful gem of a place! Food was delicious - we dined in and also got sandwiches to take away and everything tasted fresh and full of flavour. Well beautifully presented and wrapped. Spotlessly clean place and the owners are lovely! Really warm and welcoming as well as being great fun! They were helpful with us as to things to do and see in Mijas and I shall certainly be returning here as soon as possible. Really relaxed friendly atmosphere!.we asked for something which wasn’t on the menu and they willingly obliged and told us there was a lot of laughter in the making of it. Thoroughly enjoyable experience and would highly recommend here for food, drink and laughter! We were given a lovely warm welcome and a warm goodbye too! Looking forward to my next visit! Thank you for making us so welcome xx
The bar was owned by one of my stepdaughter friends who have now sold it on & has been on chanel 4 place in the sun
We visited last Sunday & both had the amazing ploughman's lunch. It included a lovely thick ham, a delicious homemade pork pie & Branston pickle. Excellent value for money. We were last there mid-March 2022, not long after you opened the business, so were thrilled to see you going strong & very busy. Congratulations to you both & your team.
My wife, 2 daughter's and I are moving to the Costa Del Sol in the next 3 months so were over from the UK to house hunt, we wanted to visit The Lemon Tree after watching the guys on 'A New Life In The Sun'. I can not thank and compliment them enough, they gave us so much helpful advice and information which was absolutely amazing. On the food side of our visit to The Lemon Tree, the food was amazing 10 out of 10 i would highly recommend the full English breakfast and mum wife had the crushed avocado bagel which in her words what the best she had ever had. Regarding the service, every member of the team were so friendly, helpful, always had a smile on their faces and could not do enough for us. The atmosphere at The Lemon Tree was outstanding, Michael and Craig are so welcoming and create such a warm atmosphere and a great place to relax and you can see this with the number of people, couples that keep coming back. We absolutely love going to see them and will always visit when we are in Mijas.
First visit this year to the Lemon Tree and was just as lovely as previous visits. We tried fish and chips this time, beautiful fish and the batter was really light and cooked to perfection and proper chips. Lovely location, lovely menu and last but not least lovely staff. Will be back next week for another delish meal. Thanks Craig n Michael you deserve 5 stars. Jane n Pat x
Fantastic place for lunch, highly recommend. Great service and food. Highly recommend. Breakfast was perfect . Staff were very friendly and welcoming
Todo muy rico!!! Excelente atención y Doris es muy amable
Great spot for brunch. Good choice and large portions! We had omelettes and both delicious. Staff friendly and lovely atmosphere.
Had breakfast & lunch. All very good. Nice to have a large pot of tea to myself. But the personality of the staff makes this place special.
We had been recommended The Lemon Tree by the owner of the house we were staying in. We ate breakfast there three times during our one week stay, my husband had the big breakfast which he really enjoyed and I can honestly say I had the best vegetarian breakfast I’ve ever had. The tea and coffee were also great quality. The service was fantastic and we appreciated the humour too! Finally the price is incredible especially given the location. 🍋 x🍋x🍋x
What a lovely place. I had the large lemon breakfast and it was amazing, it set me up for the whole day, I didn't need anything else to eat. The service was first class and it seems to be very popular as there was a lot of tables with reserved on them. If you're visiting Mijas then give them a visit, you will not be disappointed.
Loved it here! We were staying next door in an apartment. Great location. Friendly efficient service! Great menu! Home made cottage pie on it! We had the small Lemon breakfast, which was enough for us. The breakfasts go up in size, so something for all appetites. I don't eat eggs, so they gave me extra bacon. Hash brown, good English banger, proper bacon and tinned tomatoes which are the best on a breakfast, in my view. We like Spanish food, but no one does an English breakfast, like the English. Spot on guys!!!!
We ate at this cafe on a cold rainy day and it was just what we needed. I had a Jacket potato with cheese and beans. It was the best Jacket potato I've ever had. It was huge and steaming hot, so soft. It was so hot the cheese was melting on it. Owners and staff lovely, service great. Beautiful little cafe in a beautiful location in the corner of the square. Would highly recommend it 👌
Absolutely fantastic! Lemon Tree Mijas feels like a home away from home — warm, welcoming, and full of heart. The food is fresh, comforting, and full of flavour, thank you Craig! Service is friendly and personal, Michael always makes us feel so welcome, making the whole experience feel special. Booking is a must — this gem gets busy for all the right reasons. Can’t wait to return!
Great food reasonably priced, had great veggie vegan options. Staff were lovely Bacardi and coke was great not watered down. Thank you
Went to mijas for the day, hadn't had breakfast so ended up having a brunch, English breakfast and my daughter fancied a scone. English people all home cooked and beautiful. People were hovering about waiting for tables. Lovely atmosphere and setting.
Lovely atmosphere and nicely attentive staff. Food was also great and generous portions🙂
Breakfast with my Mum this morning, and she can be a tricky customer. She polished off every last morsel of her medium lemon tree breakfast and enjoyed every mouthful. Lovely food, great service. Thank you.
Buenos helados y granizados, buen precio
Hermoso espacio con muy buena gente. 🍋

Whether it’s breakfast or lunch the Lemon tree never fails to please, Food is amazing along with the owners and staff, 100% recommendation every time. Looking forward to eating there again next t week.
Stumbled over the lemon tree Michael and Craig friendliest hosts top blokes proper stokies the best. Food was brilliant a must place to eat !!!! Best chips ever !!!! Can’t wait to revisit next year with family ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This cafe is busy, and not surprisingly well supported by Brits after featuring on Channel 4. I would recommend booking a table if possible. Good quality food. Staff were good considering how busy it was.
Lovely brunch here (7 of us) in early January and really enjoyed it. We were outside - last opportunity to eat outside - good food, host was such a lovely man and will definitely be back.
Buen desayunos inglés me encantó
Esta bien pero un poco caro
En pleno centro
We had a good meal, good service, and a good explanation on why we could not have what we came for. Nice to see a chef dressed like a chef, and all other staff dressed appropriately and very pleasant to deal with. Over all very good.

Location and food were excellent, however the staff ( one of the owners and another woman ) had no customer service skills whatever, the only member that was pleasant was a young girl, I think the owner thinks because the venue is on the TV that we should be glad he served us. Food as I said though was very good but definitely room for improvement with customer service with a smile skills.
Vi väntade 45 min på maten och 25 min på att betala. Svårt att på kontakt med personalen.
The bagels were great, 1,30€ extra for just one slice of bacon is quiet a lot I feel though. We’ve also ordered the American pancakes and were a bit confused by the tiny amount we received for 9€ we definitely thought that would be a bigger portion, felt like a kids size. Coffee was one of the worst I’ve had in a while, thought it was coming from one of those automatic machines by the taste and structure of it. I guess the beans just aren’t the greatest. Lovely spot on the plaza for a cafe though
Delicious food, inappropriate service. Breakfast (full English’s and coffee) was really nice, however the male host made repeated innuendo jokes towards my brother, was overly touchy feely with him, pinching his cheeks and referred to “enjoying his sausage”, disgusting - female host was also considerably grumpy throughout.
Had a take away, ordered 5 bagels. Big disappointment, bread was sloppy and ingredients were super plain. I can’t understand how this place has such a high rating. Would not recommend. Edit: Please note the owners response to a customers dissatisfaction - arrogant! big red flag. Stay away
Don’t recommend unless you are British. Otherwise they simple tell you no table available despite there are maybe 5-6 empty tables.
