Al Cantinone abbiamo cenato in due. Servizio impeccabile, cibo superlativo, vino di alta qualità. Ambiente elegante, curato. La scelta è su piatti tipici della cucina milanese e lombarda riproposti con sapienza e fantasia. La gentilezza del titolare e del personale in sala è molto piacevole e professionale. Consigliatissimo, per amanti della buona cucina. I primi sono curati nei minimi particolari. Risotto con zafferano, castagne e mele. Pasta fatta in casa, pasta ripiena, cotoletta senza pari, filetto che è un'esperienza del gusto. Anche con i dessert siamo al top. Ci torneremo.

Ristorante con prezzi sopra la media, ma il cibo è davvero ottimo e ne vale assolutamente la pena. Piatti curati, ingredienti di qualità e sapori eccellenti. Camerieri cortesi, attenti e professionali. Esperienza molto positiva, tornerò sicuramente.

In posizione centrale, vicino al Duomo, ho trovato questo ristorante molto carino e con cucina tipica milanese. Il servizio impeccabile: veloce e educato. Il cibo squisito: ho preso un risotto alla milanese che si scioglieva in bocca e una cotoletta molto buona. I piatti erano ben serviti e col giusto quantitativo di cibo. I prezzi più alti della media, forse per il risotto anche un po’ troppo ma di sicuro è un posto da consigliare per la qualità.

Perfection 👌 Friendly and helpful staff in a really nice restaurant. I had Cotoletta alla milanese with Risotto Milanese, or Risotta alla Milanese, this creamy saffron risotto was superb with the meat. A glas if red to drink. A fantastic lunch. Really recomend.

I got here randomly, because it was raining, a lot of places were closed around 15:00. So I got here without any expectation. I ordered Al Cantinone pasta with homemade mozzarella and white wine. Portion was perfect size and white wine complimented that pasta. I also had a tiramisu, it was served in a glass. I got to say that savoiardi were a bit dry, but the cream was excellent.I enjoyed interior and overall atmosphere there. It's also not that pricey for such a place. Service was good

Un ottimo ristorante dove fermarsi a mangiare alle spalle del Duomo veramente ottimo piatti della tradizione Milanese e non solo per quanto riguarda i prezzi qualche euro sopra la media però logicamente Siamo in centro a Milano quindi i prezzi ragionevoli ci sono anche piatti unici come il brasato con risotto ossobuco alla milanese con risotto e via dicendo diversa scelta di piatti da carne a pesce e dei buoni antipasti devo dire veramente molto molto consigliato hanno anche un'ottima cantina e tanti vini tra cui scegliere tra bottiglie grandi bottiglie medie e calici

A due passi dal Duomo questo ristorante offre sia piatti tipici che non. Siamo stati accolti da un personale gentile ed efficiente che ci ha permesso di goderci il pranzo senza pressioni nonostante la molta affluenza. Abbiamo preso il risotto alla milanese (molto buono !), del pollo alla griglia con verdure (senza infamia e senza lode) e per concludere una crostata con ricotta (buona e porzione generosa). Il conto è stato più che onesto considerando anche la zona centralissima. Consiglierei di abbassare di qualche grado l’aria condizionata. Nel complesso lo terrò sicuramente in considerazione per le future visite a Milano!

The service is very friendly and arranging. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very classy and comfortable the Cotoletta à la Milanese was excellent and authentic with the bone attached to it. Nice ambiance and good service. We were welcomed and guided to a table without reservation. We ordered a Milanese risotto and ravioli together with a salad. It was very filling!

Much better than expected! When in the central tourist area, you don’t much but you do get surprised sometimes… and this place had some really tender ossobuco, the veal schnitzel was crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. Wine selection was decent, the ambience was calming and enjoy while the staff was polite! Would dine here again when hungry near the Duomo!

Located near the Duomo square, this restaurant offers nice outdoor and indoor dining options. Ordered a bottle of 2019 La Casetta red wine, octopus with eggplant & purple potato to share. For the main entries, we ordered the veal cotoletta & risotto plus the famous Milano Ossobuco. The Ossobuco was a bit salty but tender fell off the bone. The bone marrow was juicy and savoury. The veal was soft inside and crispy outside. The risotto was cheesy and flavourful. Staff were very nice and attentive. Another nice surprise was the clean restroom. We had a very enjoyable meal inside with AC 😂 by the way, there was a 3 euro per person cover charge printed on the bottom of the menu outside the restaurant. So don’t be upset. I say check it out 👍👍

Yum! The best risotto I had in town. The service was average. We asked for wine partying recommendation fit the dishes, the waitress just pointed one wine and lack information and explanation. The waitress didn’t help to refill my empty cup as well, which is not accountable for such restaurant.

A Trattoria or a "Turista-toria" !? Well, we randomly stopped by this restaurant that seamed promising 😯. But this promise wasn't really kept... Although I tried the Garganelli with Gorgonzolla which were great, my friends tried the Spaghetti Carbonara, and they were not so satisfied 🫠... The desert was quite a disapointment 😭, the tiramisu wasn't up to our expectations (too creamy with very hard biscuits)... The service was very long, at some point, we thought that they forgot our order 🥲. After visiting the church, I was looking for a restaurant and found this place based on its great reviews. First impressions—it's a beautiful, classy restaurant. However, the waitress who served us didn’t seem very happy or perhaps was preoccupied with something; maybe I’m overthinking it, but it stood out. I ordered the risotto Milano style because it looked delicious in the picture, and my friend went with the cutlet steak, which we saw a few other diners having. Unfortunately, the food was quite bland. My risotto was essentially just rice with very little else, and it cost €20, which felt like a rip-off. My friend said the steak tasted okay but was also lacking in flavor. While the food was overpriced for what it was, I could have overlooked that, but what really disappointed me was the service. The waitresses were chatting in the corner and didn’t even notice us when we needed the bill or had any questions about the food. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

We were kind of disappointed especially when asking for a recommendation. For example, my friend was asking whether to take a risotto with ossobuco meat or with “coteletta” and the waitress recommended coteletta, then the dish came with fried “coteletta” which is a shnitzel and my friend was really disappointed. I had this grilled beef filet which was delicious. The tiramissu was not the best, and the tarte apples with cinnamon was not the “tarte” I was expecting :( The first appetizer on the menu was excellent, the bruschettas were ok, nothing special. I forgot to take a pic because they came late and we were hungry. So the overall experience was average.

“È la qualità dello zafferano che utilizziamo che al palato fa proprio questo effetto di far sembrare il riso salato!” No: il piatto era troppo salato. Succede? Sì certo, e non è mai morto nessuno. Non ho chiesto sconti, o di rimandare il piatto indietro in cucina, ho risposto alla domanda “tutto bene?” E se mi chiedi “tutto bene?” poi mi fai una supercazzola allora che me lo chiedi a fare?

Il risotto alla milanese era così così, un po’ scotto, il che ne ha ridotto il piacere. La cotoletta alla milanese era di vitello, ma con qualche parte grassa di troppo e un’impanatura non perfetta. Il locale è carino, anche se i tavoli per due sono estremamente angusti. Prezzo accettabile, considerando la posizione e la bottiglia di vino scelta. Servizio impeccabile.

24 Oct 2025 Food wise, over all are pretty good, not much complain. Service is bad. We are a party of 6. 3 of us arrived first while I am still smoking outside. So 2 of us go in and sit down. After a while, they were ask to wait outside since we are a party of 6. Must wait all have arrived then you are permitted to go in. Is that the way in Milan restaurant ? If you need all the party to arrive before you can sit inside the restaurant, than don't let us in. FYI, the restaurant empty, only 2 tables when we arrived.

The risotto alla milanese was not bad so was the côtelette. However, the staff was incredibly rude… The restaurant was basically empty and they refused to seat us at the table we requested claiming that “they might need it later for other guests” whatever that’s supposed to mean. We asked for a white sauce pasta and we got dry overcooked pasta with literally 0 sauce (they said that’s white pasta?¿). When I asked for side plates (to share food) the waiter asked why and he said our food is on it’s way so we don’t need other plates. Truly surprised by the staff’s training- they seemed like they were all in training as a matter of fact. In response to the Owner’s answer to my review, I must specify that the table we requested was not that of 10 but of 4 people and that the restaurant was in fact not busy. I must also add that the waiter specified that the tagliatelle was with sauce “bianca”. When we asked the other waiter, she said it was not possible to bring us alfredo or cream for the dry overcooked pasta which had 3 pieces of shrimp. I am able to get over this but not able to get over the way we were treated — very badly and with a condescending attitude, not welcoming AT ALL. Too bad because I liked the risotto, but you can find the same anywhere else in Milan - maybe even better and with people that actually care about serving you and providing a memorable experience.

30 euro di cotoletta delusione enorme. Capisco che non tutte le cotolette sono della stessa misura ma la mia era davvero piccola. Le patate riscaldare. Il risotto con i fiori di zucca non aveva sapere. Il locale nel complesso è bello, il servizio nella media.
