Stopped into Milan for the beginning of our 30th wedding anniversary- Milan, Venice, Florence and Rome. Our first place to visit and first Italian meal. Corner local place with great charm food and owner. Mario made us feel as we had been coming for years. Stop in the Bigstore take in the art work, food, drink and local feel. You won't regret it. Great menu! Very cozy place recommended by local. They didn't have card payment but invited us back after missing 2 euros cash :) We got pancakes, yogurt dessert, cake, fresh orange juice, coffee and a cake for 15€

Nice spot for a drink close to Porta Genova but not worth the price. 15 euros for a beer and a drink without alcohol is a bit too much also for Milan. Friendly staff and quick service tho’!

Although the atmosphere was nice and the hot chocolate was good, we had to fight to get a menu with the price indicated on it, the waiter was unable to inform us and we ended up spending 20 minutes to know what we were getting into. Borderline unlawful.

Ridiculous experience. Spent 45 minutes waiting for a Nacho’s starter when there were just 3 other tables busy at the place. Once asked how long it would take for them to bring them, the waiter replied in a bad manner saying it was still going to take ‘quite a while’. Had to get up and go talk to the bar to make them hurry up. Basically a waste of money and time; terrible service as well as the food.

The bar had what my partner and I thought was a great atmosphere. It was quiet when we arrived and we decided to stay for another drink rather than leave after 1 out of courtesy. It got busier during the time we were there, with staff preparing the “tapa” and fruit for the evening. We had ordered 4x gin & tonic, a drink that is usually €4-5, and at most €8. When we asked for the bill it was €40 which was far higher than we expected, and encountered elsewhere in Milano. I’m not sure if this was “tourist tax”, but we felt like we had been taken advantage of, and cannot recommend it for anyone visiting Milano which is a shame.
