As you've seen from previous reviews, this place gets a lot of attention because of its sandwiches. They're great - don't get me wrong (see photo) - but what you really need to know is that this place is a legit delicatessen. Like, hardcore sliced-to-order. AMAZING selection of meats that you won't find elsewhere, especially at their reasonable prices. No need to specify the number on slicer...dude's a pro AND packages said meat accordingly. If you hate the environment, ask for your meats to be wrapped separately, but know that all of us regular people will be scoffing at you behind our masks... The only inconvenience here is they close pretty early so I have to load up on deli meats during my days off... Awesome selection. Great customer service. Check this place out.

Great place to go. Best sandwiches in S.F. This is the best place in S.F to go and get fresh Italian delicacies unless you live in North Beach. Always a great selection of items, and Sal and Mayra are both extremely friendly and helpful. I try to not buy sandwiches anywhere else, because they just don't measure up to Calabria Bros.

Five star sandwich spot. I had The Mark and it checked all the boxes for a true Italian Sub. Called in at peak lunchtime and it was ready to pick up in a few min. Also picked up some specialty groceries.

I literally won’t get a sandwich from anywhere else. Cold Uncle Dave on Dutch crunch with Gouda? To freakin die for. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been delicious, fillings are never skimped, and is always fresh. Bad day? I want a sandwich from here. Good day? I want a sandwich from here. Cat got ran over? I want a sandwich from here. I crave it like it’s at the base of my food pyramid.

Best Italian deli in San Francisco. Even though it's in the far south of the city it's worth the trip. The sandwiches are large enough for two meals. Plus they have racks of Italian foods and wines as well as cheeses and homemade cannoli.

Honestly everything and more you expect out of an Italian deli. Wonderful atmosphere, fresh ingredients, a staff who is not only passionate and knowledgeable about their products but welcome you the first time you walk in as if you had been there a 100 times before and best of all the sandwiches....seriously for under $10 you get the experience your mouth would never dream of (not to mention how large they are!). I don't think I could pick a better sandwich shop in the mission...hell even San Francisco! Go there Tuesdays for the fresh meatballs (which are delicious!). Go there, it's off the muni and worth the trip no matter where you are.

Let me tell you! Since Sorrento's first owners, I thought this place was never going to be the same. The second owners, despite their efforts ran Sorrento's into the ground! After hearing that they would be closing (no surprise, it was all a matter of time) I got really disappointed... I thought "Maaan! what is it going to be now? ANOTHER Asian restaurant?!" Well to my delightful surprise, Calabria Brothers bought it out and kept it as an Italian deli! When I first walked in, I was taken aback a bit. I was used to the cluttered aisles full of Italian goods, but no longer. It was incredibly spacious! Even with tables and chairs to actually sit down and eat! It looked wonderful, they didn't sacrifice anything fully utilizing the floorspace there! Clean, spacious and very welcoming. The one guy who prepares the sandwiches, I always forget to catch his name, is really friendly and makes the sandwiches flawlessly in my opinion. The sandwiches are portioned VERY well, I have to say AND very reasonably priced! Opposed to the second regime of Sorrento's owners who began making their sandwiches much smaller and more expensive! This really took me back to the old school Sorrento's. But, since it's been that long since I've had a decent Italian cut sandwich, I have to say that Calabria Brothers sandwiches are BETTER! They have outstanding choices of meats and cheeses, even bread! Adding in Ciabatta and Wheat bread. The sandwiches all come with your choice of having mustard, mayo, salt, pepper, olive oil, home made vinegar, and their garlic/pesto spread. Honestly some amazing sandwiches! I also can't forget, you can also get all your quality cold cuts and cheeses there too. They also do catering. In sum, MOST awesome Italian deli around! You have to come and try it, and unless you're not a fan of big Italian deli sandwiches, you're going to love it! Every sandwich I've had here, my eyes close and I nod approvingly. My day gets better, colors become more vivid, and the world becomes a better place. Everyone working there deserves to be billionaires, but ones that still pride themselves on making sandwiches forever, not the billionaires retiring to an estate in Marin where they drive a Mercedes G Wagon to pilates with their personal trainer named Harmony or Bodhi or Magnesium or something.

In my humble opinion, they are the best. I can not find anything like them in the Atlanta area. The quality of the bread alone stands out. The only use the best meats and cheeses. You can choose imported meat if you so desire. I can not find anything like them in the Atlanta area.

The bread was amazing the meats were somthing I don't think I have ever experienced. The absolutely wonderful taste of their sandwich and the friendly atmosphere will draw me back to the city hopefully for years to come. Calabria Bros well done. See yall again soon

Favorite neighborhood sandwich place. I go here weekly. Love the staff, great sandwiches on the best sourdough. They have a large selection of imported Italian goods too, but I just stick to the sandwiches (which are huge btw).

It was great! Wowwww, does sandwiches are fab. The only detail is that you can't eat there, but the food is great. I'll be buying my prosciutto, salami and cheese from them from now on only

Just happened to need a quick lunch in the area--WOW! I had a modified Mikey and Jessie's sandwich and one half was a way better value--huge and delish-- than any other place in SF! Brought the other half home to my husband and he fell in love with me all over again :)

Finishing up trying out all delis in SF. This one is one of my last stops, and it was worth the wait. They had a big menu with lots of sandwiches to choose from. Plenty of meat and veggie options. The Dutch crunch bread was delicious as well, nice and crunchy like it needs to be. Service was great and the employees were very friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you’re hungry and in the area.

I switched the bread out, as dealers choice of the sandwich maker, to sourdough. Was not disappointed. Had a bag of Lime and Pink Pepper potato chips. Great flavor and a different option if taking a side. They have things to buy and take home. Olives. Ice cream. Snacks. Packaged meats. Deli meat. I opted for the Caramel and Balsamic Gelato for a snack at home. Highly recommend. The owner was behind the counter, helpful for the “newbie”. Explained the process and what was available. Great little neighborhood deli. If you need a quick meal, you can sit in or take it to go, stop by and check them out. Would be great for a picnic.

Very good sandwiches at Calabria Brothers. I had their pastrami sandwich w/Swiss cheese $13 and a roast beef sandwich w/Swiss cheese $13 both on Dutch crunch bread. The bread wasn't that crunchy. That's a sign that the bread is fresh. I asked for everything and tomatoes were not included. Otherwise, it was great.

This is my second time coming here after yesterday because I wanted to try their breakfast and egg salad sandwich. YUM! Yes the fat kid is strong within. Yesterday I was walking through mission on my way back from the tailors. I always past this place paying no mind thinking it's just another sandwich shop. But then I smelled this delicious aroma coming from there. I was like WTF smells good! Went in to check it out. I was impressed with the layout and products they have in there. It was so clean and organized. Then I realized it's an Italian delicatessen shop. No wonder why. I LOVE Italian food. I swear I feel like I was an Italian in my previous life. The people was so nice and great customer service. Grabbed me (2x) Mikey & Jessica to go. Killed both in the same day. Now I am back to grab breakfast and lunch. What's great is the price. I pay like $12+ for Roxie down the street. Dont get me wrong Roxie is good. But a good big sandwich for less is Awesome in my book. Will be coming here more often. Highly recommended!

That fire hydrant was spitting out sticky goo like a Kardashian on a Saturday night, not a pleasant sight, and I'm not walking past it! Let's cross the street here and go up to Calabria Brothers Deli and grab a sando we can take to the park, she said. When it's Calabria Brothers...I'm all in, they put out some Amazing food. The sandwiches are about the best in the city. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Came in for a sandwich and walked out with a beautiful sandwich and lot of goodies. This place is a treasure. The owners have a great taste in movies too.

A community staple! Not only do they carry a great selection of Italian products but the sandwiches they are better known for, are top notch. I love their vegetarian options like the 'Forza Verde' pictured here - I add roasted eggplant and pesto. SO GOOOOOOD!!!

This is a great ole school full service deli. I went in for some fresh cold cut slice's. They were good . I think you guys need to deep clean your slicers and then wipe down after every use. Love these old delis but in this business environment it's gonna be tough to keep such a big place open. So do what ya do but do it the best ! Good luck 🤞

They often run low on bread types in the afternoon but their sandwiches work well on any bread type. Super friendly staff and amazing variety. Really tasty for a quick lunch.

I want so badly to give this place more stars but they're just not all that to me the bread is fresh but the meat is not fresh and looking in their display case a lot of their meats aren't fresh I'm just not enthused at all. The sandwich has no wow there's nothing about it that's just like oh this tastes so good.

The tuna sandwich wasn't bad. However, do NOT order the macaroni salad, unless you like drinking old mayonnaise. It was like a cold soup.
