Opinions de Ching King Mama Milano
Great culinary esperience! It was my first hotpot in Italy, food quality is very high and personnel is really kind and open to help you out with the menu and cooking times. Last but not least, no small at all once we left!
Great hot pot in a heart of Milans Chinatown Pluses: great food, enormous choice of selection, big and spacious place, booths that allow both privacy and convenience to have conversations, staff was friendly helpful and caring- organized great birthday :) Minuses- it can be overwhelming at first when you dont have an idea how it all works and what needs to happen and where to find it. Tablets and Qr code can be tricky and large menu makes the choice very tough. After you get the whole idea- the concept makes sense and you can enjoy ur food- howecer if you are a bigger group and doing it for the first time- 2 hrs is a minimum :) Great place I recommend after all. Greetings to Maurizio who helped a lot explaining it all when we were all confused:-) staff is great!
I had a fantastic experience here! The prices are fair, especially considering the high quality of the food. Every dish was flavorful and fresh. The atmosphere is incredible, cozy, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed meal. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was absolutely friendly and made us feel genuinely welcome. Highly recommended!
This is the best chinese food experience I ve ever had in Milano / Italy and very ,very good for kids. You should definitelly try hot pot cuisine. Its not just feeding.. its an experience in Milan city especially for little one's that like cooking. Its basically choose your own food and make your own sause and cook it in a hot pot in front of you. You just sit and select the basic flavor of the pot and then go to get your ingredients while you wait for the hot pot. Once the pot is served you put your stuff in and wait for 5 ~ 8 minutes. Then you serve it on your plates. Children and the whole family participates. If you just want something already precooked stuff this may not be the place for you. You can refill as many times as you like but in all honesty you get easily full. Waiters are really helpfull but hey you are in China town Milano so you are getting a little bit of Italian and a little bit of English , so dont expect a fullvideo tutorial on whats going on and how to order. Ita some what expectex that you know whats going on.. how you order and what are the steps to order. The price is the half price for Cooking lessons for a spaggeti or pizza in Rome by an Italian chef. So , this is basically a show that your paying and well worth it.
The best hot pot I have ever had❤️ I love it! This restaurant is my favourite hot pot place in Milan. The best for hot pot lovers. Food is amazing, stuff very nice. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and perfect for gatherings with friends and family. Come and see! I recommend this restaurant!! 11/10 ❤️
If you have the opportunity to visit Milan, please stop by Chungking Mama Hot Pot.Guaranteed to be satisfied. Advantages: Large, clean space, enthusiastic and friendly staff. - New modern exhaust system so you don't have to worry about the smell after leaving the restaurant. - You can choose to eat by dish or choose All you can eat. - WC very clean.
Best hotpot I've been to in Italy. It only compares to the one I've been in Shanghai. The broth is delicious, I recommend the one with spices (jujubee, goji, mushrooms etc) that is also good for your health. The base of the broth is made of bones (idk which animal) so if you're vegetarian you have to explicitly ask for water broth. Other than that you have to make your own sauce, here too, from experience I recommend the following: oyster sauce, sugar, green onion, garlic, sesame sauce, sesame seeds, sesame oil, soy sauce and the one on the left of the meat sauce. After that you can go get your own veggies and noodles and meat/fish balls etc from the counter behind the sauce one. I recommend the lotus root, you cook it until your desired crunchiness and it gets all the taste of the broth. Then it's whatever you like best, bok choi is very good and so are all the kinds of mushrooms (the black chinese ones are the best). Behind that counter there is the boba station, you can get unlimited boba so you don't even need to get water unless you want a cold fizzy drink. Then you can order thin pieces of meat, the limited ones are the tastier ones, but pork belly is good too. Overall since its all you can eat I recommend to start with one of everything and if you're still hungry go get doubles of your faves. Don't get too much noodles or rice if you want to try more stuff.
First time doing Hot-pot, and it was amazing! The place is nicely decorated, the atmosphere is amazing and the food was super nice, varied and flavorful. It functions on an all-you-can-eat model, the options are seemingly endless (both in meats and vegetarian options!). They offer endless bubble tea refills (the selection is a bit small but good) and they have a great sauce buffet! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Reservations required, as the place was full even on a monday at lunch! Prepare to spend at least 2 hours there, it's an experience!
In the snazzy interior and neon lights you find fresh vegetables and ingredients for hotpot. They do not have schezwan spicy or mala spicy. It’s more of a “we’re going to add a bunch of spices” spicy. We ordered the extra spicy broth and a tomato soup; the spicy broth seemed like it was just full of…. Black pepper corns? It was odd but not bad… but not what I’d expect. The meats are very thinly sliced, they have some carpaccio meats— definitely tops what we get in the United States… if only the broth was the same. There’s also a self serve boba station that’s not very good.
The food was fine and everything was going smoothly until the end of the meal, when a disappointing interaction completely changed the experience. I asked for a cola with a glass of ice. I received the cola but not the ice, so I politely asked again. After some time with no response, I asked another waiter. Eventually, I went to the bar myself and asked the bartender, who acknowledged me and said he’d bring it over. After another 5 minutes of waiting, I followed up with one of the earlier waiters, only then did the bartender finally bring the ice to the table. However, instead of simply delivering it, he confronted me and said, “Can’t you wait? You don’t have to go ask someone else when you already asked me.” I was taken aback. I had thanked him when he brought the ice, as I was never upset about the delay. But his tone and approach were unnecessarily rude and confrontational. When I pointed out that it was disrespectful to speak to a customer like that, he continued to argue and insisted I should be more patient. To make matters worse, I noticed him speaking negatively about our table to others, which felt unprofessional and uncalled for. There was no apology, not from him, not from the manager, and not from the owner who was present during this exchange. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect basic courtesy and respectful communication. This interaction left a bad impression, and unfortunately overshadowed what had otherwise been a pleasant meal.
