Opinions de House of Ronin Milano
We had excellent time , restaurant was bit special and our waiter try his best so we don’t feel uncomfortable, he was full information about ingredients and take all through menu, if i don’t mistaken his name was fabio with mustache and black frame glass, food was fresh amazing we had wonderful night
The service was incredible! We were sitting by the bar and could see the kitchen work. It’s a very beautiful place but most importantly the food is amazing. I had a fish, which was tender and with a ton of umami. The appetizers are great too. Overall we were very impressed with the entire experience and will definitely come back.
We stopped by House of Ronin in Milano for a casual evening and were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was warm and stylish, with a great DJ set spinning vinyl that gave the space a laid-back but lively vibe. We had two cocktail, creative and well balanced and shared some Japanese rolls as appetizers, which were light and flavorful. It’s the kind of place where you can just drop in for drinks, enjoy good music, and end up staying longer than planned. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into cocktails with a twist and a cool ambiance.
We had dinner at Robata, the restaurant on the first floor, and I must say the food was absolutely delicious—my favorite was the tuna nigiri roll. The staff were incredibly attentive, with Paolo, who mostly served us, being especially kind and helpful. Although we couldn’t visit the bar upstairs due to a private event, it didn’t detract from the experience, as the atmosphere was wonderful. As a thoughtful touch, they even offered us a complimentary shot to end the meal. I’ll definitely be returning!
Golden Gai, Tokyo, 1919, a veil of rain descends upon the city like a melancholic symphony. The narrow cobblestone alleys of the red lights district are glistening with the shimmering reflections of lanterns that flickered through the mist. You enter the “House of Ronin”. But it is not 1919 and we are not in Tokyo but in Milan’s Chinatown district! The sensations are really the same though: A four-story “Kill Bill” impressive building owned by “Salva tu Alma” (design by studio SC+) rimmed by red light with mirrors, lanterns, neon lights and hosting 4 charming bars/restaurants. Find on the ground floor “Piccolo Ronin”, an “Izakaya” tavern serving bao, gyoza, ramen and yakitori where vinyl collectors take turns curating listening sessions in the Listening Bar corner, equipped with a "Klipsch" hi-fi system. 1st Floor is dedicated to the star “Ronin Robata” led by chef Luigi Nastri. The "robata” is the traditional Japanese grill: your fine dishes will be cooking over an open fire with coals that come directly from Japan. 2nd floor is then hosting “Madame Cheng’s” cocktail bar with 4 Private Karaoke Rooms 1.5hrs each bookable where you can get dinner in Bento boxes and the boutique fine dining “Omakase Sushiyaki” restaurant where the worldwide renowned sushi chef Katsu Nakaji will cook for max 8 people per night. Top floor instead houses a private members-only club Arcade, an exclusive lounge designed by Marsica Fossati. The result is a captivating atmosphere that evokes the cinematic seductive style of Wong Kar Wai. Perfect for a romantic date tête-à-tête or for business. I went the first time for the latter and took Nigiri Mix (6pcs; 34€), Branzino con verdure e dashi al limone (Seabass with vegetables and lemon dashi; 28€) with Fried Potatoes (With takoyaki and togarashi sauces; 8€), Tonno rosso affumicato con piselli, pak-choi e kalamansi (Smoked red tuna with peas, pak-choi and kalamansi; 29€) and for desserts a super tasteful red beans ice cream. One of the most enchanting and mesmerizing experiences in Milan!
Imagine a perfect vacation to Tokyo, right in the heart of Milan. 4 stories of thoughtful and wonderfully executed homage to the food, sound, cocktail and soul culture of the capital city of Japan. Something for everyone, each nook has a delightful surprise. Karaoke, Robata, Listening bar, Yakitori, and soon to be a sushi experience to rival Jiro. Milan needed this!!!
The waiters were extremely nice, I love everything about this place. Very hip. The decor and lighting makes you want to take photos all the time. **The only downside is that one of the neighbors complained about the high volume so there is no music after 10 PM, and before that, it’s at a low volume
went to piccolo ronin - the ground floor izakaya joint (haven’t experienced other parts of the establishment) — the atmosphere is very hip and casual. wouldn’t say the same about the prices and portions. a good place to experience new food and drinks with friends, but don’t have too high of an expectation for the food nor drinks. they are, on average, passable. the curry is slightly too salty, but the handrolls with beef tartare is a good fusion dish. the yakitori and cucumber both slightly underperformed. the italian sake is very interesting though, would definitely recommend to wine drinkers and sake drinks for the novelty. the service staff needs more training concerning communications/ interactions with guests. two very important things - 1) please don’t ask the guests if they would like to keep the change. 2) please don’t automatically split the bill for guests, and not show any receipts without it being requested. i see the place with lots of potential with some adjustments on the quality of food, service training, and price-quality value.
Be cautious — this place feels like a scam. While the food is decent, the menu is deliberately confusing, seemingly designed to steer you into ordering an outrageously overpriced omakase. We ended up spending over €150 per person, which is absurd for Milan given the quality and quantity of what’s offered. Definitely not worth the price.
Absolutely NOT worth the RIDICULOUS price. We booked a karaoke room for a slot as. Group of 4 people (the standard slot is 1h45min). Karaoke: very nice interface but sub-par system. Very often the words on the screen were not in sync with the melody so we wasted precious time on damaged tracks. Service: the service was very rushed. We asked for some nibbles (to pay) to be delivered to our room but were only offered bagged crisps (of mediocre quality). The markup on alcoholic beverages is the highest I have ever seen. The local retail price of the bottle of tequila that we consumed is approximately €40 - we were charged €220. Please see receipt attached. However, the most astonishing aspect of the entire evening is that the SECOND our time slot was up, the lights were immediately turned on and the service staff BARGED into the room with a credit card machine. They demanded instant payment and literally made us leave the room. We also left a tip totalling €600 for 1h45min and two overpriced bottles. I will never set foot in this building again as it really is not worth the experience, let alone the price tag. I have had previous experiences at the ground floor restaurant and at the omakase and again, mediocre quality for a severely inflated price.
Food portion is very small but the price is high. The server didn’t explain their meals. When we ordered 5-6 dishes, the waitress didn’t explain to us those wouldn’t be enough. Izakaya supposed to be a very traditional Japanese cuisine. However, they served somewhat Chinese/Japanese. Obviously trying to rip off customers with fake Asian cuisine without knowing what they really are. 👎🏼 For passing bad message about a cuisine, this place should deserve 0 star!
