Opinions de New York Bar Milano
Bar Milano, inside Eataly NYC Flatiron, was a wonderful surprise! We didn’t go in expecting much, but the food was really good. The roasted chicken was flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the steak with roasted rosemary potatoes was just as tasty. The space is simple and beautiful, with a clean, minimalistic design that makes it a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming. My husband and I enjoyed it so much that we went back several times and will definitely return!
Great staff and atmosphere. Overall I really enjoyed the place. The only thing I noticed was that there were no complimentary snacks or small bites for guests outside of the order. Still, it was a very nice experience and I would recommend coming here.
We stopped in for restaurant week in NYC and spent a few hours having the best time at this wonderful Italian restaurant! I must admit, I don't know exactly what we ordered, but it was the tastiest adventure that went well with our bottle. Thanks to Cara who took great care of us while we tried some new things. Would recommend for solo adventures, dates, and even groups. Come in and check out the scenery. Highly recommend.
I recently decided to try Bar Milano at Eataly. I’ve now eaten at all five of their restaurants and I have to say, this is my favorite! The waiters were all so attentive and each course was more tasty than the last. I had the radicchio salad, the meat ravioli; which tasted like little pillows of heaven and the chocolate cannoli for dessert. It was during restaurant week so my meal was very reasonably priced. By the time I was finished the restaurant was packed! I left with a happy stomach and a wonderful sense of well being. What more can you ask for?
My waiter was Daniel Casello and the service was exceptional on his end, everything was timed perfectly. I was not checked into excessively. He was gentle, attentive, and timely. The food was amazing, particularly the salmon and cocktail passion fruit.
Great food, great wine. We made it just in time for the pre-fixe lunch menu an it was delicious. My friend and I shared it and it was before for a small meal after work. We tried the carne crusada and the saffron risotto and both were delicious!
Saw the 2 course meal at Bar Milano and decided to try it. Tried the Ricotta, Carne Cruda, Risotto and Tagliolini Pasta with shrimp. We both enjoyed our lunch and the service was excellent.
Food was exquisite, from the drinks to the desserts! Would definitely recommend the Amalfi 75, a nice blend of flavors and the Panetonne, which was absolutely scrumptious! Looking forward to coming back! Chef Moises, Many thanks to you and your staff for your warmth and friendliness! Really brought home that family gathering feel.
Thanks to Ermal we felt transported to Italy. He was such a pleasure to chat with and made great recommendations. What an incredible authentic experience!! Thanks again Ermal!

This was our first time here and to say we're impressed would be an understatement. We thought it would just be a little market and boy were we wrong! We decide to get drinks and a midday snack at Bar Milano. The bartender was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! We delighted in discussing wines and cocktails with him. Had an orange wine for the first time in our lives and really enjoyed it. He described it as "funky in a good way" and I can't think of a better description. It was very good. For snacks we had bread and oil and the risotto al salto. This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had in my life, to include when I was in Italy. The risotto is cooked with saffron and chicken stock and then fried in clarified butter till it forms a crispy crust. It was so rich and creamy with that crunchy crust offering a perfect balance. There were also dollops of a cheese sauce that perfectly complimented it. I would have licked the plate if I had any less manners. And while basic, the bread/EVOO was also on point. The bread had a perfectly crunchy crust with soft, airy center. It had a perfect hint of saltiness to counterbalance the wonderfully pungent EVOO. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and people watching, surrounded by delicious Italian goods. I will definitely return.
Make sure you make a reservation as it is usually packed, be advised that for tables of less than 4 you will probably be seated at the bar as the table space is limited. Loved the decoration and vibe of this section of Eataly. The service was excellent, I was also seated at the bar which I prefer since you can see the chefs cooking your food. I had the Uni bruschetta, first time trying Uni, I was not blown away by it but nothing wrong with the dish itself I just don't think I would recommend it unless you already love Uni. The ossobuco with saffron risotto on the other hand blew me away, I would come back for it in a second if I lived in NYC. I would love them to expand their beer selection to more hard to find Italian brands, like Messina cristalli di mare or something like that to set them apart. I did enjoy my cold Peroni anyways 😊 I love coming to Eataly everytime I visit NYC to try the restaurants and peruse the market, I always leave with a least a couple of cheeses LOL
Pastas are excellent. Pricing is reasonable for the quality and Manhattan location. Vibe is usually pretty nice too. The entire store is busy but typically you can find some place to sit.
We always have an incredible experience at Bar Milano, and I can honestly say it’s a new favorite. The cocktails are world-class, perfectly balanced, and creative. However, what truly makes the experience unforgettable is Ermal. His service is on another level. He is incredibly welcoming, knows the menu inside and out, and has a genuine warmth that makes you feel like a regular the moment you sit down. He didn't just take orders; he curated the entire evening for us. If you go, ask for Ermal and let him work his magic.
I’ve been to Bar Milano a few weeks back, and I immediately felt at home. Our server, Ermali, made our experience superior with his professionalism and attention to details. I really recommend this bar to have an authentic Italian experience, from food to service.
We had such a wonderful pre-theater dinner at Bar Milano this evening before going to Lincoln Center to see Ragtime. Such delicious food—the ragu was just perfect—and heartfelt thanks to Adrian and everyone for getting us fed and out the door in time for the show. We will be back!:)
We had an amazing experience at Bar Milano thanks to our waiter, Adrián. He truly went above and beyond from the moment we sat down. He took his time explaining the menu in detail, answered all our questions, and even helped us decide what to order based on what we were craving. Adrián’s patience, kindness, and professionalism made our visit exceptional. We felt genuinely taken care of, and it made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend asking for Adrián — he’ll make sure you have a great dining experience!
My husband and I had an excellent meal! I highly recommend their mushroom tagliatelle and kale/shaved Brussels sprout salad with pecorino Romano…we ate so fast I forgot to take pictures.
Alejandro was our server and we could not have had a better experience. He was perfect with his attention and recommendations. He was knowledgeable and made our experience memorable and fun.

Bar Milano is likely the best sit-down restaurant inside Eataly, even better than the rooftop option. Their pasta is fresh, and the service is excellent. However, the main downside is that the portion sizes do not justify the prices. If you want to dine at Eataly, this is the place to go. The food is truly remarkable, especially the pumpkin appetizer. They also offer an impressive selection of wines, including a Barolo wine flight.
Fantastic service and clean atmosphere. The staff is phenomenal. Very overpriced menu. $50 for the L’Ossobuco dish. Visually appealing? Yes. However the saffron risotto was overpowered by salt. The veal shank itself was tender and had a lot of juicy bone marrow. Seasoning just seemed off for this dish. The Risotto ai Funghi was the opposite. Well balanced flavor, but looked like plain oatmeal. For $26 the plating could be better.
I had a lunch here. Good service, good food as always in Eataly. I ordered spaghetti with pomodoro (datterino). The pasta was perfectly cooked. The tomato souce was good, but with some cooking water left.

Very busy atmosphere due to the busy nature of the Eataly spot, but it made for a lively dinner. We opted for the special lunch menu which was well worth the price. The entrees and mains offered all looked (and were indeed) good! From the lunch menu, there were definitely enough vegetarian options, though I'm not 100% sure about vegan options.

This restaurant is in a food market. There is a couple of restaurants In the Market. The tables were very close together and felt a little awkward sitting so close to people while trying to have a nice quiet dinner with my wife. If you want a peace and quiet setting, this is not the place. The food was very good but the portion size was small for the price. I had the ravioli and would recommend it.
Bar Milano is a great option for diners looking to eat in style, however compared to the Italian competition in NYC, this place doesn’t stack up. I’d skip if you want to eat but it’s a good spot for a drink. The few items we ordered were unfortunately all dry, flavorless, and overpriced. I’d consider this spot a tourist trap.
The customer service was good. Calamari was perfectly cooked and was very good!! Carbonara and the clam pasta was very salty!! I also tasted the sand inside the clam pasta.
