È sempre una garanzia! Siamo capitati senza prenotazione e gentilmente ci hanno trovato un bel tavolo. Il cibo è ottimo ma menzione particolare va fatta al risotto alla milanese uno dei più buoni mangiati in vita mia. Il servizio è attento puntuale e capace.
Cotoletta giustamente premiata, cibo di qualità, giusta commistione tra tradizione e modernità. Locale molto molto bello. Probabilmente sarà conosciuto a Milano, ma volevo lasciare una recensione per chi come me, capita saltuariamente e non conosce questa perla. Prossima volta che torno, so dove andare a mangiare
Molto simpatici i camerieri e cibo fantastico: soprattutto la cotoletta milanese e i dolci. Consigliatissimo!
Un ristorante meneghino che sa coniugare calore e raffinatezza. L’ambiente è accogliente, curato nei dettagli, mai freddo, e ti fa sentire subito a casa. Il personale è attento e professionale, presente senza risultare invadente, con quel tocco di formalità che rende l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Il fiore all’occhiello? La cotoletta: perfettamente cotta, dello spessore ideale, saporita ma equilibrata, accompagnata da una salsa servita a parte che ne esalta il gusto senza coprirlo. Ho visto servire i risotti, sembravano deliziosi e non vedo l’ora di tornare per poter assaggiare il classico ossobuco con il risotto alla milanese. Un indirizzo da segnare per chi cerca autenticità e qualità nel cuore di Milano.
Pranzo di ottimo livello, con piatti tipici milanesi molto ben fatti. Squisito il risotto alla milanese con e senza ossobuco. Deliziose anche le polpettine. Ottimi vini al bicchiere. L’ambiente è piacevole, più da ristorante che da osteria. Il personale è molto gentile e il servizio veloce. Conto senza sorprese. Consigliatissimo per chi desidera mangiare la cucina milanese vera. Tornerò per assaggiare la cotoletta.
Si respira la tipica cucina milanese! Ristorante in una delle zone più vive di Milano, facile da raggiungere a piedi da metro o parcheggio sotterraneo. La location è piccola, ma in linea con le grandezze medie dei ristoranti milanesi, molto moderna. Antipasto spettacolare: carne interna alla “polpetta” molto tenera ed accompagnamento eccezionale (così come l’entree offerto). Primo: risotto alla milanese, in linea con la tradizione e molto saporito Secondo: cotoletta immancabile, tenera all’interno e croccante all’esterno, servita con una particolare salsa che si abbina al meglio. Dolce: gelato, nella media. Personale tanto e gentile. Conto corrente!
Ambiente accogliente e servizio più che buono. Abbiamo pranzato apasquetta e abbiamo aspettato un pò. Direi normale visto il giorno di festa. Personale gentilissimo. Piatti squisiti. Per me ottimo il fuori menù a base di agnello penso preparato per queste giornate pasquali. Ottima anche la cotoletta croccante e non unta.
Questo ristorante per me non è semplicemente un posto dove mangiare, ma è il mio posto del cuore a Milano. Ogni volta che sono in città, per lavoro o per piacere, è una tappa fissa. È una certezza, una garanzia. Qui ho sempre trovato qualcosa di speciale: una cura e un’attenzione che vanno ben oltre la semplice ristorazione. Il menù si rinnova spesso, ci sono sempre novità interessanti, ma quello che non cambia mai è la qualità incredibile del cibo. In un momento storico in cui i posti dove mangiare sono tantissimi, la vera qualità appartiene a pochi… e loro sono tra questi. La location è sempre curata nei minimi dettagli, tutto è pulito, ordinato, piacevole. Ma la vera differenza la fanno le persone. Non solo il servizio, ma le persone che lavorano qui: sempre sorridenti, gentili, disponibili, attente a ogni esigenza del cliente. Cercano davvero di accontentarti, e questa dovrebbe essere la base di ogni attività commerciale… ma non è scontato trovarla. Ogni volta mi sento accolta, seguita, quasi a casa. Che sia una cena con persone a me care o un pranzo di lavoro con colleghi, so già che farò bella figura. Grazie perché siete sempre una certezza. Appena sono a Milano, vengo sempre a trovarvi. ❤️

Siamo stati in questa osteria di giovedì, a pranzo, arrivando a piedi dal cimitero monumentale. E siamo stati davvero bene! Siamo stati accolti dallo staff in modo gentile e cordiale. Il risotto alla milanese, l'ossobuco e la cotoletta strepitosi! Il locale è accogliente e elegante, crea una bellissima atmosfera! Ci ritorneremo, grazie! Consiglio di prenotare tramite il loro sito, è molto facile!
Ambiente carino, il tavolo per due era piccolo ma sufficiente. Servizio ottimo: i camerieri sono stati professionali e simpatici. Abbiamo ordinato la cotoletta e l’ossobuco, accompagnato da un po’ di risotto alla milanese. Il risotto era talmente invitante che abbiamo poi preso due piatti. Come dessert abbiamo scelto la cheesecake, che si abbina perfettamente a un vino passito di Pantelleria: combinazione fantastica. Le portate principali le abbiamo gustate con un’ottima bottiglia di Franciacorta Satèn della cantina Enrico Gatti, scelta più che azzeccata. Qualità/prezzo eccezionale. Torneremo sicuramente!
Ottima esperienza anche se in effetti ero già stato in questo ristorante. Molti dei piatti sono quelli tipici della tradizione milanese. Quindi cotoletta, riso allo zafferano, ossobuco con riso allo zafferano, guancia cotta nel vino. Inoltre abbiamo scelto il baccalà mantecato e le polpette . Tutto ottimo. Servizio professionale e molto gentile. Prezzo medio-elevato.
Ho avuto il piacere di provare questo ristorante situato in una splendida zona di Milano, e devo dire che l’esperienza è stata davvero soddisfacente. La cucina è davvero buona, con piatti curati e di qualità, che sanno esaltare i sapori in modo equilibrato e originale. Ogni portata dimostra attenzione agli ingredienti e una preparazione attenta. Inoltre, il personale si è rivelato estremamente cordiale e disponibile, mettendoci subito a nostro agio e rispondendo a ogni nostra esigenza con grande gentilezza. La location è comoda da raggiungere e ideale sia per cene informali che per occasioni speciali, grazie all’ambiente accogliente e ben curato. Consiglio caldamente questo locale a chiunque voglia gustare un’ottima cucina in un contesto piacevole e rilassante nel cuore di Milano. Sicuramente tornerò!

Oggi sono stata in questo ristorante e devo dire che è stata un’esperienza piacevole. L’atmosfera è accogliente, curata nei dettagli, e i camerieri, vestiti in modo elegante, contribuiscono a dare al locale un tocco raffinato. Abbiamo ordinato due cotolette alla milanese, squisite e perfettamente cucinate, e un filetto che era cotto alla perfezione, tenero e molto saporito. L’unica cosa che mi è piaciuta un po’ meno è stata la salsa ai funghi servita sopra il filetto: buona, ma avrei preferito averla a parte. Le porzioni erano abbondanti al punto giusto, senza esagerare. Come contorno abbiamo scelto il purè di patate, che era davvero delizioso: cremoso, vellutato e pieno di gusto. Anche il prezzo mi è sembrato onesto, soprattutto considerando che siamo a Milano e che la qualità dei piatti era molto alta. Per quanto riguarda il parcheggio, abbiamo lasciato l’auto a circa sette minuti a piedi dal ristorante, in un parcheggio sotterraneo a pagamento (15€ giornaliero). Trovare posto non è stato semplice e questo ci ha creato un po’ di disagio, anche perché siamo arrivati con qualche minuto di ritardo. Ma d’altronde, a Milano è normale che parcheggiare non sia facile. Un piccolo dettaglio curioso: ogni tanto si sentiva vibrare leggermente il pavimento per via della metro che passa sotto il locale. Nulla di fastidioso, ma sicuramente particolare.
Bellissima esperienza culinaria! Cibo ottimo! Risotti gustosissimi, antipasti equilibrati e preparati con cura. Staff cordiale e molto preparato. Cenare così ti fa uscire col sorriso e con la voglia di tornare. Vino, non avevo dubbi, all’altezza del nome.
Potrebbe sembrare un locale per turisti, quindi per definizione "evitato" dai locali. E in effetti è onestamente molto frequentato da turisti, ma merita attenzione anche da parte dei locali. Il risotto è perfetto, davvero saporito e delicato insieme. Ma un complimento speciale va al polpo, che è davvero superbo. I piatti sono curati, ricercati, classici ma reinterpretati con raffinatezza al tempo stesso. Un consiglio: il dolce "barbajada" è incantevole però ricordatevi, se siete limitati come me e non riuscite ad apprezzare il sale sul dolce, chiedete di non farlo mettere!
Questo ristorante è stato un’autentica scoperta! Le mie amiche, che erano qui a Milano in vacanza,volevano assaggiare i tipici piatti milanesi, il risotto e la cotoletta.Dopo varie ricerche su internet ho prenotato in questa osteria in pieno centro e devo dire che l’esperienza è stata eccellente… mai mangiato un risotto alla milanese ed una cotoletta più buoni di quelli mangiati qui! Anche il servizio è stato ottimo, camerieri sempre attenti e gentili ma con discrezione! Complimenti!!!
Periodicamente frequento questo ristorante perchè il risotto alla milanese, a mio avviso, è il migliore mai gustato; tutto perfetto: cottura, mantecatura, condimento con riduzione di vitello, una delizia sublime! Sono molto buoni anche altri piatti: ossobuco sempre con risotto a parte, primi di pasta fresca, risotto coi funghi porcini, filetto, patate arrosto e milanese di vitello. Il servizio è rapido e gentile, abbiamo molto apprezzato anche l'offerta di una ciotola con acqua per il cagnolino che accompagnava una mia amica. Come unica nota: aggiungerei un menu per bambini a prezzi un pochino più contenuti

Yo, the cotoletta and ossobucco is out of this world. This was our first lunch in Milan after touring bologna and Piemonte. Gotta say that from now on every time we land in Milan, we're eating here first before moving onto our next leg of the trip! Gotta eat here again on the last day before flying out as well 😅
Came to try the risotto alla Milanese — it did not disappoint! The ossobuco was extremely tender. The maitre d’ was also very friendly and remembered me from when I walked in to make a reservation the evening before. :) Overall service was great and the staff were very attentive. Grazie mille!

We were told, “Go to Osteria Brunello for the best cotoletta alla Milanese in the city,” and it did not disappoint! On top of that, I had the best risotto of my life. Drinks were excellent, service attentive, and the ambience quiet and perfect—whether for a date night or a gathering with friends. Very classy, absolutely loved it!
Me and my boyfriend had dinner at Osteria Brunello, and we thought the experience was great! Special thanks to our server Salvatore, who gave us great service and great advice about wine pairings. We had the tuna tartar as a starter, and as first course (which was enough food for us combined with the desert) we had the milanese risotto and the risotto with zucchini which were both great. As desert we chose the tiramisu and the affogato, which were also amazing. Great experience with some Milanese dishes in combination with great service. Would recommend this restaurant.
We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The place itself is lovely and inviting, with a charming outdoor seating area that made our evening even more enjoyable. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. We started with the Milanese-style risotto—a creamy, saffron-infused dish with veal that was absolutely delicious. For the main course, we tried the Ossobuco with Milanese-style risotto (braised veal shanks) and the La Cotoletta di Vitello alla Milanese, a breaded veal cutlet served with smoked paprika mayonnaise, cherry tomatoes, and oregano dressing. Every dish was bursting with flavor, and the quality of the ingredients really shone through. The neighborhood is great, and the whole experience felt both authentic and special. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a true taste of Milanese cuisine!

The restaurant was recommended by a local Italian who grew up in Milano. They are famous for their authentic traditional dish La Vera Cotoletta alla Milanese. Cotoletta was perfectly fried with crispy covers yet still juicy and tender inside. The Italian wine suggested by the waiter was good too. A bit dry but matched well with the cotoletta. Buona osteria nella zona Garibaldi. Il servizio è molto buono, il personale è cordiale e attento. Siamo state qui per la cena. Il cibo era buono, abbiamo preso polpo e ravioli. Tutto sommato bel posto.
Osteria storica nel cuore di Milano che però non ci ha colpito fino in fondo, prezzi anche più alti della media milanese e sinceramente la loro decantata e premiata cotoletta l’abbiamo trovata indietro di cottura e con la panatura che si staccava facilmente, leggermente deludente per le esagerate aspettative che ci pongono sù. Nulla da dire al servizio elegante e sempre sorridente.

Io e la mia famiglia siamo stati in questo ristorante un paio di volte. Il cibo è buono e i prezzi sono decisamente onesti per Milano. Unico neo: il servizio lascia un po’ a desiderare. Ci hanno chiesto più volte di ripetere l’ordine e si sono dimenticati di portarci un contorno. Il polpo, però, era davvero ottimo!

Great food- I would get the award winning Veal cutlet and pasta- or the short rib. All strong dishes from their menu. We also liked the ricotta croquettes. Service was okay- was not as attentive as expected- did not pour our wine or ask us if we wanted another bottle. We would have spent more $$ but we did not feel like it due to the lack of service. Overall yummy! Would recommend!

Good option for milanese classics. Food is tasty, plates are well presented and the atmosphere is calm. Service can improve. Our table was wobbly and the server didn’t try to help even though he noticed, we had to fix it on our own.

Delicious Risotto Milanese (first time having it in Milan). I especially loved the welcome app, the little bite of Cacio e Pepe mousse, and the wall of wine in the dining room.
La zona è molto bella, con un'atmosfera fantastica. Il cibo è buono, ma essendo il piatto forte del menu, mi aspettavo di più dai milanesi, soprattutto a quel prezzo. Il servizio è stato buono, anche se il pagamento è stato un po' lento; nessuno aveva un terminale di pagamento a mano.
Forse ai milanesi piace spendere tanto e si dimenticano che da un ristorante/osteria bisogna uscire anche sazi. È vero che si trova in un'ottima posizione, ma prezzi alti. Ravioli ottimi, tra i più buoni mangiati ma erano 5 (allego foto che testimonia quanto sto scrivendo). "È cotta la puoi scolare" Cit. Cotoletta buona. Sui dolci non ci siamo, ne abbiamo presi 2 e non mi sono piaciuti. Reputo frustrante spendere tanto ma uscire con la fame, non penso di tornarci e onestamente mi spiace tanto.
Io e mia moglie siamo stati a pranzo in questo locale in centro di Milano. Io ho ordinato una cotoletta guarnita con salsa, insalata e pomodorini e delle patate al forno, tutto buono ma niente di più. Mia moglie ha ordinato il risotto, ottimo e squisito ma scarso di quantità, mentre le verdure fresche di stagione saltate con salsa teriyaki non le sono piaciute, consiglio più piatti per vegetariani. Nel complesso una esperienza positiva con prezzi in media con altri ristoranti della città di Milano.

When in Milan, you want to explore and taste Milanese food. Went to Osteria Brunello (based on reviews I researched) and had their famous fried veal and lamb stew with risotto… hmmm everyone raves about these 2 dishes and my daughter and I didn’t like them- ate less than half of our plates. Not everyone has gusto for Milanese cuisine I guess coz we were disappointed. The service was good and the ambience was great!

Peccato 3 volte all anno ci passavo per il risotto e la cotoletta. Oggi risotto freddo cotoletta sicura pre cotta presentata tiepida e impanatura indecente. Due clienti bruciati. Mi spiace
Unfortunately and contrary to others’ reviews and ratings, this is a very basic restaurant, with decent food to eat but not representative of the Milanese dishes in taste, or cooking. Wine list is very very good however. Service on the day we visited (Jan 2026) was at first fine. When they served the courses to our company and realised they missed two dishes, they failed as they said the kitchen had closed a while ago and no alternative option was provided. Quite disappointing when we were enjoying one of the best wines and were left hanging. After discussions, they did serve the missing courses, opened the kitchen again, warmed the veal (microwave) with the side dish missing still and we pretended to finish our meal and not mess further our evening. I do repeat that wine list is good, but the meals are very basic, and nothing memorable.
The food was really tasty and good atmosphere. I waited 30min for the bill and i was offered no apologies which made the experience super bitter. I wouldn’t walk 30 min to get this again!

I was hoping Brunello would improve my opinion about food in Milan - which has been a huge disappointment. It didn't. The "welcome" (a mortadela puree with balsamic vinegar) as well as the spread that accompanied the Cotoletta had been served well in advance and the parts that were in contact with air had formed a membrane. The pumpkin flowers were too oily, missing the beautiful surprise of the cold ricotta inside a hot exterior. Everything was lukewarm instead. The Cotoletta had a strange heat distribution: the crust was indeed crispy but cold and the meat was much warmer. Not warm enough to cook evenly everywhere though. Next to the bone the meat was too pink for me to feel comfortable eating. I didn't stay for dessert. Not even the gelato I had a few blocks down the road managed to take away the taste of the balsamico from the "welcome" puree...
