Al Baretto è stata una bellissima scoperta. Menù ricco e curato, con piatti tradizionali e proposte più ricercate, tutti preparati con ingredienti di qualità e presentati con attenzione. Il personale è estremamente cortese, disponibile e sempre sorridente, ti fa sentire subito a tuo agio. La location è confortevole e accogliente, perfetta per godersi una cena in totale relax. Un posto dove tornare e che consiglio senza esitazioni.

10/10 spot!! We had a wonderful time at Al Barretto as our final night in Milan and final dinner in Italy!! Food was AMAZING and FRESH and so HIGH QUALITY.. Bruno gave us the best service and made sure we enjoyed our food and wine the entire meal. We got the ravioli with a scallop, the lobster pasta, grouper main, and tiramisu… every single dish was chef’s kiss!

Without a doubt the best restaurant in Milan. The food is exceptional, so tasty and like nothing you’ve ever had. The lobster spaghetti was my absolute favourite. The experience and service took the dining experience to another level. Endi thoroughly explained all the dishes we indulged in with such passion, he truly made this dining experience something I’ll never forget. He was pleasant, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Got to the restaurant around 9pm and the place was pretty full on a Wed night. I asked for a table with no reservations and the hostess explained to me no table was available at the moment but offered me a chance to sit at the “chefs table.” The chef table happens to be a counter top facing the chef/kitchen area and it happened to be one of the most fun dining experiences in a while! It was amazing to see the hard work and effort put in in each and every dish. The customer service and food was outstanding! Will definitely return!

I want to express my admiration for this place – it is truly magical! Let’s start with the service: the entire staff is very polite and welcoming, always approaching with a smile and eager to please the guest. They maintain a light and pleasant conversation without being intrusive. I especially want to highlight Endi (Restaurant Manager) and Marco. They are true professionals who know their job well and clearly understand what high-quality service means. The cuisine is simply divine: every dish we ordered was absolutely outstanding! Bravo to the chefs! And the atmosphere: I can only describe it as an aesthetic delight! If you love movies such as The Great Gatsby or Midnight in Paris, this is exactly the kind of world you will find yourself in. Every corner of this venue is picture-perfect and endlessly photogenic. The entire staff looks stunning and adds to the beauty of this place. I highly recommend visiting it! Even if the bill comes out above average, believe me – it is absolutely worth it!

First and foremost, grazie mile Andy! This was the most satisfying restaurant I have visited recently in Milan. Most importantly, every dish was absolutely delicious. The white fish carpaccio, in particular, was impressive in the harmony between the texture of the fish and the garnish, and it paired perfectly with the white wine we had. The scampi pasta was also unforgettable—the seasoning, the freshness of the scampi, the texture of the pasta, and the fragrant tomato all came together beautifully, leaving nothing to waste. The restaurant’s signature chocolate tiramisu was also delightful, with the perfect balance between tiramisu and chocolate, and the sorbet was absolutely refreshing. Watching Andy mix vodka and lemon right in front of us to create a whipped smooth texture was truly perfect! The service was just as impressive. Andy’s thoughtful care made me want to return without hesitation, and being seated at the chef’s table gave us the opportunity to watch the cooking process while listening to the chef’s warm explanations, which was a wonderful experience. If you are in Milan and looking for a place with a great atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious seafood, I truly believe this restaurant is a must-visit.

The entire experience at Al Boretto was 5 stars. Highly recommended and will definitely be back when next in Milano. The food - every dish we had was very flavourful, well presented and the timing of each dish being brought to the table was well synced to provide a comfortable pace through dinner and never feeling rushed between each course. It was clear the kitchen team took pride in the food they presented. the service - attentive, thoughtful, knowledgeable and seemingly effortless. Our main waiter Bruno was AMAZING. Sharing menus recommendations and based on what we finally ordered he then shared wine pairings to accompany the dishes as we progressed through our meal. Major kudos to one of the other front-of-house staff (don't remember his name) who observed within a few minutes of being seated that members of our dining party did not have an ideal spot to place our purses and without a request, he brought a purse stool to our table which was a very pleasant surprise. (In my experience, purse stools are not standard at restaurants in the west - so this was a major plus for Al Baretto) The ambience. We sat outside and it was a good balance of upscale dining, warm and inviting experience.

The homemade tableside preparations were beyond expectations - watching them prepare the sorbet tableside was truly impressive. Wonderful food quality across the board, complemented by a huge wine selection. Multi-language speaking waiters made everything seamless for us as visitors. Comfortable seating with a romantic atmosphere - both indoor and outdoor dining options available. We happily spent 2 hours enjoying authentic Italian hospitality at its finest. Highly recommended for a special dining experience in Milan!

We visited this restaurant yesterday, and it’s honestly the best one I’ve ever been to in my life. The food was absolutely delicious. The Prosecco was excellent, the oysters were the freshest and tastiest, and the pasta with black caviar and the fish were simply outstanding. We loved everything about our experience. The service was also incredibly kind and attentive. Honestly, it’s a solid 100 out of 10 🤌🏼

This has to rank as my favorite Milan restaurant for sure! A friend of mine told me about this place and I booked a Chef’s table dinner. To say that I had a memorable meal is downplaying how amazing the whole experience was. I chose the Chef’s menu and I had the meal to seal my Milan trip in the best possible way. Everyone there was so welcoming and accommodating. The service was a lesson on how restaurants should treat their guests. The pictures don’t do the meal enough justice but try it and you’ll be a believer.

Amazing Birthday Dinner in Milan We visited Milan for my wife's birthday and decided to book a table at this restaurant for a special dinner. It turned out to be an excellent choice! The dress code (no sportswear, no flip-flops) added to the sophisticated atmosphere—everyone was well-dressed, which made the evening feel even more special. We flew to Milan to celebrate our anniversary and chose this restaurant based on the stellar reviews. Overall, we had a mixed experience. We arrived at 7pm when they opened and were promptly seated at the 4-chair Chef’s Table. We waited 30 minutes for someone to take our order while diners in the main dining room were already finishing their starters. When we were finally acknowledged, we placed our order from the ala-carte menu to create our own “seafood experience.” The first starter was a fresh yellowtail carpaccio with a drizzle of slightly spicy sauce which was a good choice. The second starter we ordered was the Bluefin tuna. We were served a plate of 4 pieces (while other diners I saw received 7), and a couple of the pieces had non-chewable sinew (silver skin) which proper chefs would always cut away before preparing and serving. The best dish of the evening was the scallop and black truffle ravioli (4 pieces) - pure deliciousness! Finally, the waiter recommended that we order the fish en papillote for two with a side of mashed potatoes. The fish and sauce were cooked to perfection, but the vegetables were a miss. The zucchini was too watery and the onion was fibrous and non-chewable. The mashed potatoes never came, so they served them to us at the end of the meal, gratis. We opted not to have dessert since nothing was inventive or tempting enough for the 15€ cost. While the dishes were very refined and mostly delicious, our experience was flawed from start to finish.

My group loved all the food! We ordered the lobster linguine, anchovy & caviar pasta, Raviolo, crispy cod, Ombrina. All were IMPECCABLE. The food is the highlight of this restaurant! The amuse Bouche and the appetizers were also very tasty. Great menu overall. We got the octopus and the scallop ravioli. The manager told us to get the tiramisu and it was as good as he said. He said it was the best in Milano. The vibe is very French bistro, so is the service. The restaurant is quite small but some can say it adds to the vibe. The atmosphere is top tier, beautiful bar and curated areas. Many locals here eating. Drinks were slow/ stick to wine!

Buono, ma in modo inadeguatamente costoso. Ristorante che pretende di essere di alto livello, ma chiaramente non è all’altezza. Poco spazio, continuamente gente che si aggira vicino al tavolo. È indicato un dress code, ma metà della sala è in jeans e maglietta. Una pasta 40€, conto per due 260€.

Non siamo rimasti completamente soddisfatti, location carina ma purtroppo i tavoli erano molto vicini, quindi anche difficile festeggiare “occasioni” in quanto sembrava di essere seduti al tavolo insieme (allego foto); nota positiva per il personale, molto carini e preparati; cibo buono, ma nulla di speciale per quello che abbiamo pagato, linguine all’astice dal retrogusto “dolciastro”, non ci hanno fatto impazzire.

Sul cibo diciamo senza infamia e senza lode. Nulla di così particolare. L’ambiente ricorda molto i locali che si riscontrano in alcuni paesi europei, difatti ci siamo resi conto che eravamo gli unici italiani dentro. Probabilmente in voga tra i turisti. Un caldo aberrante, nonostante siamo ad Aprile c’è una calura all’interno incredibile. Bagno unico per uomini/donne e disabili. I tavoli sono ammucchiati l’un l’altro e quando chi è seduto al tavolo di fianco al tuo deve uscire bisogna alzarsi per farlo passare. Una situazione surreale, capitata in questo locale dopo la lettura delle recensioni che però sono tutte fatte da persone non italiane. Diciamo che noi italiani siamo abituati ad elevati standard a livello di ristorazione e comodità quando si decide di andare a cena soprattutto in un locale dove si spende molto. In 4 abbiamo speso 360 euro un costo eccessivo in quanto qualsiasi piatto era eccessivamente ed insensatamente costoso. (Basti pensare che una fetta di colomba costava 15 euro). Non ci tornerò mai e mai più e consiglio a qualsiasi italiano di non andare in questo posto perché di italiano non c’è davvero nulla.

Location sicuramente molto d’impatto, curata e scenografica, che colpisce subito entrando. Purtroppo però l’esperienza complessiva è stata un po’ penalizzata dall’eccessiva quantità di persone: ambiente molto affollato e tavoli davvero troppo vicini tra loro. I camerieri, inevitabilmente, passando per servire, finivano spesso per urtare le sedie (situazione comprensibile vista la mole di clienti) ma che riduce parecchio il comfort. Il locale è chiaramente molto turistico: durante la serata non c’era praticamente clientela italiana. Questo contribuisce a creare un’atmosfera decisamente meno autentica. Il cibo è buono, ma non memorabile: piatti ben eseguiti, senza particolari picchi di originalità o gusto che li rendano davvero distintivi. Nota di grande merito invece per il tiramisù al cioccolato, davvero eccellente (uno dei migliori assaggiati ultimamente). Servizio molto gentile e disponibile: staff simpatico e attento (apprezzato il gesto di versare vino e acqua), anche se si percepiva un po’ di affanno dovuto al forte afflusso di gente. Prezzi decisamente alti in rapporto all’esperienza culinaria, soprattutto per i vini. In due abbiamo speso 225€ per tre antipasti, un primo, un dolce, vino e un caffè: cifra importante che alza inevitabilmente le aspettative. Nel complesso, una location che meriterebbe un’atmosfera più vivibile e una gestione degli spazi più rilassata, oltre a una clientela più equilibrata, per valorizzare davvero il posto.

All in all was a good experience and the quality of food was very good. However the portion/price is not justified. I paid 20 Euros for a "glass" of wine. We are happy we experienced it but there are many other good quality restaurants around as well.

FARE PEGGIO ERA DIFFICILE!! Siamo arrivati alle 21.30 con prenotazione, attesa di mezz’ora perchè non riuscivano a liberare il tavolo e di ripiego volevano darci un tavolo dove sarebbe stato impossibile sedersi in 4 per le dimensioni. Servizio pessimo. Prendiamo una bottiglia di vino, uno assaggia e servono gli altri 3 ma chi ha assaggiato rimane con calice vuoto. Durante la cena mai nessuno che ci ha versato il vino. Chiediamo la seconda acqua subito dopo esserci seduti è arrivata a fine cena dopo la quinta sollecitazione. Veniamo al cibo. Antipasti normali, buoni ma non eccelsi. La tartare di Gambero presentata dal cameriere come tartare di avocado fa capire le proporzioni del piatto. Spaghetto ai ricci di mare totalmente insapore (mai mangiato uno spaghetto cosi cattivo), calamaro e carciofi mollo. Ristorante di livello? Non direi proprio! Allego lo scontrino, ma tolgo i prezzi perchè non è un fatto di costo. Se il posto è buono si paga come è normale che sia. Qui il servizio era pessimo e il cibo non all’altezza SCONSIGLIO
