​The food and service at this Italian osteria in Navigli were truly exceptional. While Navigli is known for its countless restaurants, this place is a standout and an absolute must-try. The carbonara I had was absolutely delicious, creamy, perfectly seasoned, and a true taste of Italy. To top it all off, the limoncello at the end was the perfect conclusion to a perfect meal. Everything was flawless, from start to finish. I highly recommend this osteria to anyone looking for an authentic and wonderful dining experience.

I was visiting the Navigli neighborhood and searched for well rated restaurants. The Osteria dal Cornuto came in well rated and we decided to try. In a sea of touristic traps, this restaurant standed out. We ate the cotoletta and gnocchi, both really good, fresh and tasteful. My wife cooks gnocchi at home, so she can sniff for fake ones. Service was good and attentive. After the meal, I talked with chef Lello that emphasized the use of fresh ingredients as the key for flavorful dishes. Overall, it was a great experience.

Food was very good we had the arrabiata and gnocchi. The Sauce was delicious and also the noodles tasted great. The service was also good and they asked us if we wanted to listen to other music. Overall nice place to eat

This place was great. We were there in Oct 2024. The food was fresh, the pasta tasted fresh. The staff was really friendly and perfectly European. We stopped by by accident and were so so pleasantly surprised. My sister had asked the staff where she can find a candle for my dessert as it was my birthday. The staff understood the assignment and brought out my dessert with a huge sparklers!! IGNORE the negative reviews! Some people don’t understand that table service and timeliness are VERY different in Europe.

The Parmigiana di Melanzane and Risotto were outstanding — rich in flavor and perfectly prepared. The Tagliolini Burro e Tartufo Nero was slightly too buttery for my preference, yet still enjoyable. The restaurant’s riverside location and charming ambiance make it a wonderful place to dine.

A great atmosphere and staff. We were a family of six and probably could have shared 4 plates instead of ordering six separate meals. Reasonably priced for tourist area imo.

The highlight of Osteria dal Cornuto is definitely the open kitchen where you can watch a woman skillfully making fresh pasta by hand—it’s such a cool and authentic touch that adds charm to the atmosphere. It was really enjoyable to see the process and added a special vibe to the evening. However, while the experience was visually impressive, the food itself was just okay. We tried a couple of pasta dishes and, although they were fresh, the flavors were quite basic and not particularly memorable. Everything tasted a bit under-seasoned and lacked the depth we were expecting, especially given the handcrafted pasta. We also had to wait quite a long time for our food, which made the experience feel a bit slow. If you’re in no rush and want to enjoy the show of fresh pasta-making, it’s a nice spot—but don’t expect anything extraordinary in terms of flavor. All in all, it’s a cool place to visit once, especially for the handmade pasta experience, but the food was more on the average side. Worth trying if you’re curious, but not a must for flavor seekers.

Food was good, but the service was absolutely horrible.The male waiter was extremely rude and came across as racist toward us. About two minutes after we finished eating—while we were still drinking—the waiter cleared our plates and immediately told us to go pay the bill. We said we would pay after finishing our drinks, but he kept calling us over and aggressively waving at us to hurry up and pay. We felt pressured and rushed and ended up having to chug our drinks just to leave. When we stepped outside, we realized there were six people waiting—and to make it worse, there were free tables inside and the outside seating area was completely empty. There was absolutely no reason to treat us this way.On top of all this, they charge a €3 per person service fee. How dare you charge a service fee when the service is this disrespectful and unacceptable? I came to Milan believing it was a kind and welcoming city, but this experience proved otherwise—especially if you don’t speak Italian. Tourists, avoid this restaurant at all costs. No matter how good the food is, no one deserves to be treated this way.
