Vino rosso Cannonau e acqua in vetro.
Ambiente familiare, personale molto cortese e disponibile.
While every dish was undeniably delicious, the true highlight of our visit was the atmosphere created by the owners. From the moment we walked in, we didn't feel like we were visiting a restaurant; we felt like we were being welcomed into their home to enjoy a truly special, genuine Italian dinner. The warmth and personal attention made the entire experience feel intimate and authentic. It's rare to find a place where the food is prepared with such skill and served with such genuine care. 5 ⭐️ stars!
We got hungry to Mediolan and found Papa by accident. And it was best accident that could happened. It wast best restaurant experience not only on our Italian holiday but in our lives. Best service, best food, best desserts and drinks. I recommend it for everyone. We also meet the owner that was really nice and open. Pure Italian sophisticated dining experience! Thank you guys!
I walked into the restaurant a bit skeptical because of the rating, but I was so hungry—and something about the place just drew me in. The atmosphere is warm and family-like, with a lovely little flower on each table that instantly warms the heart. But what truly blew me away was the spinach ravioli—an absolutely delicious, genius dish! I’ll definitely be coming back. (The tiramisu was wonderful too!) Thank you for the lovely hospitality.
It was an honor to dine at a restaurant named after Pope Francesco. I walked in by chance, but ended up enjoying one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in Italy. At first, I thought I was just ordering a typical Italian dumpling dish—but the depth of flavor truly surprised me. You could taste the craftsmanship behind the food, and I genuinely enjoyed every bite. Thank you to the kind female staff member who welcomed me so warmly. Even though I was alone, everyone made sure I was well taken care of. I also appreciated being able to charge my phone during my meal—such a thoughtful touch. One of the highlights was the flaming cheese performance—it was both exciting and impressive! And the owner’s light-hearted jokes in between added so much charm and laughter to the experience. I wish I could’ve tried more dishes, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to eat much that day. If I ever visit Milan again, I’ll definitely come back.
A not so touristic hidden restaurant nearby the cathedral. Authentic food and very friendly staff. Fast service and great food. We paid 35EUR per person for a starter, a main and fresh orange juices. It's a pity that we didn't have more days to try other items on the menu like the catch of the day (seabass on our visit) and the black risotto etc. We will return hungry for more!

The best pasta I have ever had which was made right in front of us, a nice family restaurant with perfect service, would 100% recommend
Terrific host with attentive servers. Food was terrific. The Sardinian pasta was mouth watering and the roast veal with risotto equally delicious. Moderately priced for Milan.

I risotti erano deliziosi.

Not good at all. expensive and poor quality. You can fins much better options a few meters away. Dont go. Sad place to go...
Average food near tourist sites...friendly owner showing off cooking skills, kept on pushing for the 70 euro special and coca-cola, which we politely declined...when your hungry after all that walkin' closest empty spot works...can't say much about this place other than "avanti"
A very touristic restaurant in the downtown Milan close to duomo. The rating is not for the food but for the price, it is super expensive for the food you eat. The taste, service are all very good but does not justify for what you pay it is very exorbitant. They really rip you on the drinks and the sides, also the main dishes are pretty expensive. I would say it is an opportunistic restaurant. We shared on appetiser and ordered on mains each and a desert and we ended up paying 70€ per person, which is not reasonable. For the type of restaurant food and service you would expect to pay 40-50€ max also considering the location. That’s why I don’t find it worth it.
Good service, incredibly overpriced. 3,50€ table charge per person. 18 € for 4 ravioli in tomato sauce and 18€ for a small piece of lasagna. Spent 25 € for 4 ravioli and water. Other dishes might be better, but for that price I am not coming back. The food is good but the amount doesn’t even come close to the price.
We had a truly disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made assumptions based on our appearance and handed us a QR code menu in Chinese, assuming we were from China — withou…
Da fuggire / A fuir. I went there yesterday with my daughter. I took a very normal draguer beer and her a coca-cola. While we were seated, a waiter brought us unrequested bruschettas. As I thanked …
Avoid this place...you will get ripped off especially if your a tourist. Way to expensive for our meals which was nothing specially, have to have individual meals by law which is a load of rubbish.…
Ripeto quello che ho scritto nn posso pagare delle pizze SURGELATE 18 EURO CHE SI VEDE BENISSIMO DAL TAGLIO DAL SAPORE IN FINE ERA FREDDA POI UN TIRAMISÙ 15 EURO COPERTO ALLE STELLE O NN SI RIDE MA NN SI SCHERZA CON I SOLDI ASSOLUTAMENTE NN CORRETTO
Very disappointing experience. We were put upstairs alone in a separate room with no other customers around. A staff member took one of our chairs without asking and told us that everyone had to order something, which felt rude and uncomfortable. When I asked for cheese, bread was brought instead. The staff ignored several customers, the menu was overpriced, and the service was extremely unfriendly. At one point, we felt pressured and almost forced to eat. The pizza arrived late, and the food was placed on the table in a confusing way, so my brother had to eat alone. To make things worse, our cheese was taken without permission and given to another table. Overall, the service was disrespectful and unprofessional. We did not feel welcome at all. I would not recommend this place
Racist, overpriced, tourist trap. 120 euros for a fish? My Italian friend said I was sitting in the worst place in Milan. Also what I wanted to order was not that one, the owner persuaded us to order that one, I remember I saw the price was 20 euros(which is fair), but in the end he said it’s 12 euros per 100g, and it’s 1kg?
Do not come here, and I mean this in the most impartial way… the waitstaff were pretty ignorant the whole dinner which left my family and I pretty disappointed. We asked for tobasco and they told us that it was bad we didn’t finish it because they couldn’t charge us 30 Euros for finishing it. As for food, I personally cook a lot on my own, and their fruitti di mare was absent from aromatics haha! There was zero garlic, zero onions or herbs, it was pure tomato sauce and seafood (did not taste fresh) for a good 25 Euros. Our family is pretty tolerant and patient with food in Europe, knowing things could always be a hit or miss, however, I would advise anyone to rethink coming to this place due to the overall disposition of the waitstaff. I wish they weren’t impatient as they were with me when I was clarifying the difference between Sardinian Fruitti Di Mare vs the normal fruitti di mare. The waiters walked away a lot over genuinely curious questions we had over the food, and I just wished for better humans in general :( Ristorante Papà Francesco, maybe you started out with a dream of providing good food and service but I’m disappointed to say, you’ve ruined our first night in Milan … I hope you find awareness, not just for future customers, but for yourselves as well as restauranteurs. Also were we supposed to bring OUR OWN Tabasco and cheese?? lol - even the parmesan couldn’t save the bland nature of your pasta Note to readers: notice how the store only replies to bad reviews with vitriol? That’s highly revealing of character Btw we did not use a whole bottle of tobasco and my frutti di mare was devoid of flavour. Why did I need cheese? I wonder!
I ate at this restaurant on July 12th. I ordered a beer and traditional pasta with sausage. The portion was small, the beer was 330 ml. The menu does not state the quantity/weight. In the end, they made me pay 3.5 euros for the tablecloth. They are scammers. Avoid. I paid 30.5 euros and I am hungry.
