My friend recommended Bastianello for the Gelato, I've never tasted a Gelato that was as good as this. I tried different flavors but the rum/raisin was my favorite. The prixe was very reasonable and they also make a really good cappuccino.

Locale d’epoca molto ben tenuto e personale cortese. Pasticceria di qualità; Un solo commento e lascio a voi: caffè…viene richiesta la maggiorazione per avere un caffè macchiato. Per macchiato si intende la sporcatura di latte che crea la leggera schiuma in superficie oltre tutto se vuoi macchiare il caffè con latte freddo devi pagare e vieni rimproverato se non lo dici prima perché ci sono costi diversi…assurdo. Bel locale ma non mi piace l’espositore delle brioches all’ ingresso senza alcuna protezione per cui chiunque può metterci le mani o ci si possono appoggiare eventuali insetti. Per la prima volta in vita mia mi sono stati addebitati 40 centesimi per il goccio di latte necessario a macchiare il caffè… un vero furto!!!

Bastianello, locale che cerca di porsi in una posizione per ceto sociale alti, riuscendoci molto male. Non ero vestito a puntino e per questo sono stato calcolato con meno sorrisi rispetto ad altre persone che ostentavano. Essendo che non è la prima volta che mi capita, mi sento di far presente questa cosa che francamente trovo ridicola nel 2025.

Frequento questo luogo da molto e tra alti e bassi ci ritorno spesso. Purtroppo rimango male male quando mi siedo al tavolo al mattino con mia mamma per un caffè. Nessun menù consegnato. Lei chiede una spremuta di arancia. Il cameriere, alle 9 del mattino, ci informa che sono terminate le arance e propone spremuta di melograno. Aspra e non gradevole….ovviamente non è colpa loro…..ma rimango basita dal costo di 14 euro!!!! Avete letto bene…..14 euro per un bicchiere stretto e alto di una spremuta di melograno. Torno dopo qualche ora a segnalare che PRIMA di proporre una bevanda così costosa per lo meno avrebbero dovuto avvertire del costo. Non l’avremmo presa……considerando che io ho preso una focaccina di prosciutto e formaggio ed un caffè americano ed ho speso 10 euro…..e ci sta. Sentire poi il maitre che giustifica la cosa perché il posto è così elegante che il prezzo è corretto e che ci vogliono almeno tre frutti per quella spremuta lo trovo di pessimo gusto. Ovviamente il mio disappunto è per non aver avvertito prima di ordinare, in molti posti del centro si sta perdendo la testa……

Though the desserts were fresh and tasted very good, they were all miniature in size and EXTREMELY OVERPRICED if we dine in. The dine in prices for small puff pastry was €10, a small fruit tart was €25 and so on. We didn’t see the other reviews (that said takeout is usually affordable) before we sat down to eat 😏

one of the most historical pastry shop in piazza san babila. no one told us that if you sit at the table, the price of every single item would have doubled itself. i understand we are in the city center of milan, it would have been enough saying it to your costumer. by the way, the quality is ok, nothing special.

Rating only Gelato - decent gelato on par with most places found in Milan at a higher price point. Would rate this along with the decor but we weren't allowed to sit with the gelato despite restaurant being near empty. The decor and layout was beautiful though.

Milan is a funny place. All the restaurant are not located closed to each other. Just randomly stubble to this place, asked for a menu, it’s all coffee and little bite. The staff was friendly enough and tell me the pasta menu changes daily, so she introduced couple. Picked the seafood pasta, 20 EUR. Not 100% worth it, but it’s not bad. For my personal taste it’s a little salty, again, not sure that was entirely come from the seafood or it was the chef heavy handed with the salt. La mia recente visita alla pasticceria Bastianello a Milano è stata decisamente deludente. Nonostante le foto online facessero sembrare il locale caratteristico e accogliente, la realtà è stata ben diversa. Il locale offre solo tavoli disposti in una zona verandata, senza particolari elementi che lo rendano distintivo o affascinante. La scelta dei dolci era piuttosto limitata. Ho ordinato una fetta di torta che si è rivelata essere praticamente solo zucchero e gelatina, praticamente immangiabile. Anche il pasticcino alla chantilly era banale. Il servizio è stato altrettanto deludente: ci siamo seduti e non ci è stato nemmeno portato un menù per poter scegliere comodamente. Inoltre, le brioche erano esposte in una vetrinetta vicino all'ingresso, non protette dalla polvere, il che solleva seri dubbi sulla cura e l'igiene del locale. In sintesi, la mia esperienza alla pasticceria Bastianello è stata ben al di sotto delle aspettative.Inoltre il costo non adeguato al servizio/qualità delle materie prime

I visited the well-known Gelateria eager to try their famous treats, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. I’ve had better stracciatella gelato elsewhere, and the chocolate in theirs was disappointing — it didn't melt and was too tough to enjoy properly.

Imposible to drink the smoothie, it was full of seeds. I asked for extra blend but they bring another one with same problem. The straw got stuck all the time. Besides that, the staff is nice and the decor is pretty but woman’s bathroom door doesn’t close.

The gelato here is quite good, which is the main reason this isn’t a 1-star review. Unfortunately, the experience overall was disappointing. We visited with our children and found the staff to be noticeably unwelcoming and not kid-friendly, which made us feel uncomfortable throughout the visit. It’s a beautiful spot with potential, but the lack of warmth from the service really took away from the experience. Great gelato, but not somewhere I’d return with family.

Very nice decoration. But very expensive and low quality. A small dessert (in my photos) 21 euros. For a fantastic lunch (2 porsions fresh Italian pasta) we paid this amount in a different restaurant. Seriously this is not OK. 👎🏻

Here what I have taste and felt. - Shortcrust pastry apricot: shortcrust pastry too light flavor, little personality; aroma of the butter too too light; also other aromas such as lemon peel completely absent, as well as a little salt to balance the sugar. Disappointed. Apricot jam has the right balance with a slight pleasant note of acidity but still miss the wow factor. For the quantity ( almost a mono positions) and above all the quality, 12 € absolutely it worth it. Very disappointing. 1.5 / 5 - Cream horns: cream horns not fresh, one of them had the refrigerator taste. Filled with too little cream compared to the pastry which is too abundant. Disappointing here too. 2/5 - shortcrust pastry with custard cream wild strawberries and raspberries: fresh, but especially from the custard cream I was expecting more. 4/5 - Chocolate bignè : fresh product, very very traditional. Good chocolate flavor but with slightly flat aromatic notes, miss the wow thing. however well done. 4/5 2.87 / 5 = 5.75 / 10

Five stars for the beauty of the place and the atmosphere that you can observe of clients employing the place, waitresses rushing to bring the food, barmen to make coffees. Service good. Technically they did all correct but emotionally I had the feeling to be like “ faster to order,next one”. It’s a terrible feeling considering the price you are paying. Moreover, we asked for menu, but the waitress wanted to show her knowledge of knowing the Menü and she told us everything. Which is good. Then we asked the wine list and once agin she started to mention wines. Then I expressed what taste I would like that the wine has and the waitress suggested one. After that I told her I don’t know this one. How much is per glass. The answer was six euros. And she brought to taste it a little bit. Pasta was delicious. So the service Is professional. They also offer my some home made chips for the waiting time and two mini bruschettas. I didn’t try it. Didn’t have time. Why two starts. Because the wine costed ten euros in the bill. Bad communication or to get money from the client?!-.- not a problem to pay. The principle of the lie. Good service.

Il posto è storico e carino, ma fra prezzi e gentilezza inesistente nel servizio opterei per altro. Vestono i camerieri di tutto punto ma poi indossano scarpe buche 😅 Sicuramente da rivedere in molte cose.

Esperienza pessima. Sabato pomeriggio, con un amico, decidiamo di prendere un caffè al tavolo. Quando entriamo nessuno ci accoglie e ci invita ad accomodarci. Facciamo tutto in autonomia. Dopo più di 10 minuti che eravamo seduti, nessuno viene al tavolo a prendere l’ordine, a quel punto siamo noi a fermare il personale. Ci portano il nostro ordine, dopo 15 min ci chiedono se vogliamo ordinare altro, altrimenti dobbiamo liberare il tavolo per far accomodare altre persone!!! Questa richiesta è cacciare, in modo celato, dei clienti. L’esperienza è stata pessima sotto tutti i punti di vista. Non entro nel merito del costo sostenuto che non è all’altezza del servizio!!! Sicuramente la customer experience vissuta e’ negativa e non entreremo più nei vostri locali. Oltre alla recensione negativa, il passaparola è ancora uno strumento di marketing potente! 👎🏻

Esperienza pessima.Personale sgradevole e supponente.Abbiamo ordinato 2 cappuccini e una fetta di panettone.Ci portano i cappuccini e dopo 10 minuti chiediamo notizie del panettone. Ci viene risposto in modo scortese che non si sono scordati ma hanno avuto un problema nel tagliare la fetta che è venuta troppo sottile e quindi dovevano rifare l ordine!!!! Appena finito di consumare quanto ordinato il cameriere ci ha chiesto se potevamo alzarci(andarcene in pratica)poiché c era gente in attesa.Ovviamente non ci siamo alzate.Il tutto per la modica cifra di 20 euro.MAI PIU'.

Esperienza meh. Non si discute sulla qualità dei prodotti che è certamente buona, ma coperto a 7 euro e a fine consumazione al tavolo con cameriere a fissarti che ti invita a lasciare il posto agli altri (per essere rimasti non più di 30 minuti seduti). Di sontuoso, c’è solo il conto.

RIDICOLO....ci siamo seduti orario aperitivo...abbiamo preso due semplici crodino ..San bitter costo cadauno 6 euro e va bene. Cameriere giovane con occhiali capelli scuri raccolti. Maleducato. Senza salutare ci chiede quanti siamo. Io dico tre ci sposta da dove eravamo per un tavolo da due. Mentre al nostro posto entra una persona da sola e siede dove eravamo noi, posto da quadro. Lui da solo. Nessuno gli dice niente. Camerieri in generale poco cordiali.

a bit overated place; coffee is sub-average compared to what can you get in Milan. Wide selection of deserts, tarts & sweets but nothing that wow you to give it above 3 stars compared to what would you expect in Milan.Not sure what is luxurious about this place! You better off paying your cash somewhere else. One more thing, glasses & cups smell awful; one of the worst glasses smell I ever seen ... Please, clean them with soap
