The bo 7 mon here is the most worth it. 2 orders ($36 pp) for 3 people is more than enough and very delicious. Of course, note a lot of peanuts in case of an allergy This time we decided to get the fried fish ($75) to make rolls with and it was very crispy with fried onions, garlic, etc. To me a little heavy on the honey to make it crunchy, but the rolls always come with good veggies that you can get more for free. Service is fairly attentive, but note that although they say they close at 8, they stop letting people sign join thr waitlist at 7ish. Expect to wait at least 10 mins on weekdays, likely much more on weekends.
7 course beef is a MUST!!! It is such a great experience and each of the dishes are extremely flavorful and creative.
7 courses of beef bursting with flavor. Rather eat this than hot pot.
Nice place. We have 10 to our table. Servers were very nice. Food come out good and hot.
The food and service here is absolutely out of this world! Every family get-together is held here just because it is just so good! If I could give this place 25 stars, I would give them 37! When we ate here for my grandmother's birthday, we got the meal for free because she shared her birthday with the owner! I am incredibly happy that I found this restaurant and that we eat here all of the time.
Best Vietnamese I’ve had. We usually go for bon bowls elsewhere which this restaurant doesn’t have but you can make one from the dishes they serve. Super fresh greens including sweet basil mint cilantro and this other leaf I don’t know. Very tasty pork rolls. Super good crispy won ton soup. We had it to go
Great food and a great experience. This restaurant specializes in this create your own spring roll at the table concept; they bring all of the items that you can order from the menu and you roll and eat. I LOVED it. The servers were attentive, the food was fresh and flavorful. The beef wrapped in grape leaves was yummy. I would suggest ordering the big catfish that they butterfly; the skin is so crispy and the meat so tender. This place easily accommodates big crowds, but I would consider making reservations in advance (and its a must if you want the fish). The only down side was the front door kept being left open my customers and on a cold evening the wind came rushing in.
7-course beef is their specialty and a MUST TRY. one order per couple is enough. We've also tried grilled pork over noodles, nem nuong rolls, eggrolls, wonton soup. They are all delicious! They don't take reservations so come early. The restaurant fills up fast and service is EXCELLENT. They refill your water and rice paper/lettuce without your asking, very attentive service.
Their beef set menu is worth trying. My favorite part of dining here is making my own spring rolls with delicious in-house made fish sauce. The flavorful wonton soup is highly recommended.
this is the best vietnamese food in the bay - i want to bathe in the fish sauce no joke. the herbs were so fresh and the food had sm flavour it was unreal. not to mention the people that work here are so kind and welcome you in like family. literally never getting vietnamese food from a different place. go here!!
The best and most authentic Vietnamese food!!!!
27 years of flavor! This place deserves the credit. Chill ambiance. Great quality amd service!
Have been going here for years for the 7 course beef. The owner and staff are very nice and the food is always good!
I ate this Anh Hong in Saigon in the 70 and it’s the best in the south Vietnam. The food is much better now. I tried their own brewing beer too. I really enjoyed the food and beers.
So great to find a Vietnamese that actually serves the 7 Beef Course in the Bay area. I thought this specialty could only be found in Vietnam. We surely ordered their 7 Beef Course (2 orders minimum for this set), with a couple of other side dishes. The taste of the 7 beef course was surprisingly authentic from the wrap, the beef dishes to the sauce. I felt like I was back to our hometown and was enjoying this with family. Other dishes were amazing, too. However, it’s quite pricey for $37 for one order. We enjoyed it nonetheless. And, one thing to note is that their kitchen closes at 8:30pm despite the restaurant’s close time is at 9pm. After 8:30pm, they will refuse to serve any new guests, so please plan your visit accordingly.
Vietnamese friends told us about Anh Hong Saigon so we went with another friend. the seven-beef course is minimum two orders, but that was fine. a great deal of food and we talked and ate and talked. the waiter was super helpful: told us about the dishes and how to eat. brought more dishes but didn't bother us. by 1p on Saturday, it was full. go and order the seven beef course. only a few places offer this.
This is the first time for us to try the famous 7 course beef dinner. We were duely impressed with the quality of the various dishes. Definitely a fun experience enjoying with your friends and family. Minimum 2 orders needed for this set course dinner but frankly it's enough to feed 3 people IMO. The vermicelli appetizer was awesome too. Two thumbs up.
Absolutely delicious food and amazing services. Highly recommended. Everything was good but the highlights are the bò lá lốt (beef wrapped in betel leaves), grilled chicken and the Vietnamese pancake. The dipping sauce are mixed very well and balanced. They also have a decent selection of craft beers that pair really well with the food. Price was reasonable and the food was served very quickly and piping hot.
Why eat one dish of beef when you can have seven? Vietnamese's Bo Bay Mon is served at Anh Hong in Milpitas. The courses are house special beef salad, beef in red wine vinegar fondue, steamed beef patty, grilled beef sausages, beef wrapped in La lot leaf, beef roll with onions and lemon grass, and beef porridge. I love eating this with family because it allows you to share everything. This is also a fun, tradition dish to sample every thing. I love me some Spring rolls. They also have a location in East Side San Jose. 📍 Anh Hong Restaurant off Calaveras Blvd. In Milpitas, CA.
My favorite place for beef 7 courses. The grilled beef is juicy, tender and flavorful. Extra credit for the extra clean veggies coming with the course.
Best beef 7 course in town. Authentic Vietnamese food. Still is the best after 10 years
Unique experience. I've never had to hand roll my egg-rolls before. A good variety of selection.

Unique experience. I've never had to hand roll my egg-rolls before. A good variety of selection.
Their 7-beef course is very good. We also enjoy their 'cá nướng' - grilled fish but you need to have a party of four or more to finish everything. Paris Baguette next door is a perfect stop afterwards for a nice cup of coffee and pastries.
Reliably some of the best food in the bay, always make a point to try to go if I’m near Milpitas. Favorite type of Vietnamese food. Their beef rolls are delicious but also if you have a big enough group their entire roasted fish is out of this world.
Very good Vietnamese food, very clean, fresh, delicious, with such great, great service! Family style meals! Would recommend to all. Must try all of the other many dishes here asides from always ordering the lettuce wraps with the meat rolls, still can't remember what this dish's name is though I've been told, like, 20 times. Horrible memory. Hot tea is very good too! I don't think they have pho or bun, just an FYI. In the Milpitas Center Shopping Mall strip mall with Paris Baguette, Daeho, Jang Su Jang, Grocery Outlet, etc.

My friend ordered the lemongrass shrimp lunch plate and I got the BBQ chicken lunch plate. It was delicious, the lunch plates come with rice, salad and soup.
The restaurant is a authentic Vietnamese restaurant but without the pho` or the banh mi, I think because of the pho' restaurant next door to them otherwise their crispy wonton soup is good 👍
Great food and service. This is a relatively small place, so if you're visiting with a larger party, make sure to reserve a table.
This is not your typical Vietnamese place where you get a bowl of noodle soup. This place serve ‘Bo Bay Mon’ aka seven courses of beef for a prix price. You can exchange 1 course with no extra cost. This is also a very hands on place where you have to make your own wraps/rolls, just like Mushu pork but with rice paper, your choice of rice noodles (optional as this is a side dish) your choice of protein and veggies/herbs. 1. Beef salad 2. Beef Fondue 3. Beef Meatloaf 4. Grilled Beef Sausage 5. Grilled Beef wrapped in Betel Leaves 6. Grilled beef rolled aka. Onions in a blanket 7. Beef porridge We usually change the #1 with #5 and it was always a hit. But #5 let us down this time. The Betel leaves had no flavor whatsoever. I think we will change #1 with #7 next time we visit. It is fun if you go in groups of 2 or more. Tip #1, if you have a group of 4, order the BBM for 3, then get an order of Cho Gio Anh Hong ‘V egg rolls’ and/or Chao Tom ‘grilled shrimp wrapped in Sugarcane’ or both. Your belly will thank you for this. Chao Tom only comes in 3 pieces but they are big. You can cut it into multiple strips to share, plus, it is much easier to wrap too. Tip #2, order a side dish of either Bun ‘thin rice noodles’ or Banh Hoi ‘superfine rice noodles’ or both for your wraps. Tip #3, they offer 2 sauces, regular seasoned fish sauce and seasoned fermented fish sauce. I highly recommended the fermented fish sauce. It’s all about the sauce that makes the difference!
When a friend of mine from Washington DC came for a visit, I took him and my family of 5 to this restaurant for dinner. It was on a Saturday night and the restaurant fill up quick but the service was great and the meal was excellent. We order some 7-course beef and a bake catfish. The portions were very generous (we took home some left-over). The price was reasonable as the bill was around $120 for our party of 6. There were two identical-twin waiters working there and we had a few fun moment mistaking one for another.
I have been to this restaurant many times, but never get to write a review. The 7 course beef here are excellent, although they don’t give you the banana blossom stem like the 7 course beef restaurants in southern California. When I come here with my family, I sometime order the grilled fish, which you have to order ahead of time. It is also delicious. You have a choice of two different types of dipping sauces: the diluted (added sugar, lemon juice, and garlic) Vietnamese fish sauce or the fermented shrimp paste dipping sauce. The shrimp paste sauce is a bit strong, so if you are new to the 7 course beef, you may want to stick with the diluted fish sauce. The service here is usually pretty good, but a bit slow on Friday evening and on the weekend when the place is crowded.
We tried the 7 course beef option. Overall there the wrapped beef and beef sausages were the best. The salad and vinegar hot pot dishes did not stand out. The fish sauce that went with the dish was very good.
Customer service here is really friendly and helpful. They help you with the menu if you're not sure what to get. They make accommodation for food allergies. Most of the food I've tried here have been delicious. Menu is a bit pricey but for the quantity and quality it's still considered a good deal.
This unique Vietnamese restaurant is nestled in between Tofu House and Jang Su Jang, and in the same shopping mall as several other restaurants and a grocery store, meaning parking is increasingly challenging on weekends (business has clearly picked up in the last few years!). The restaurant itself is moderately sized, with simple but clean decor, and seating doesn't feel too cramped. It was packed on a Sunday night, so reservations are recommended. I've had Bo 7 Mon, their signature 7-course beef, which is delicious and unique. It includes La Lot, which I love. Another of my personal favorites, the beef rice porridge, is like Chinese congee with a soup base that's slightly richer and more savory than pho broth, and has ginger --- perfect on a cold night! I also tried their claypot with mushroom, chicken, and shrimp. Shrimp was small and slightly over cooked, but the flavor of the chicken/shiitake mushroom/rice combination was wonderful. Service was sufficient and efficient. I'll be back here again!
Quite a large restaurant, serving a variety of dishes, not your typical pho though. They offer many rice and rice paper wrap dishes with lots of fresh vegetables. The meat tasted pretty good. Reasonable CP! Okay service!
Food is great. Service just ok. They have signs posted all over the restaurant about what can and cannot be done by the owner which makes the place less welcoming. But we enjoyed the 7 beef dishes. Prices has gone up to $30 per person from a few months ago

This place is the original and far better than the one in San Jose, while the interior is a bit outdated, The food is always consistently good in our go-to spot for seven course beef.

The food is OK but nothing to write home about. The prices are quite high. For 40$ per person I can get a much better meal. We will not be going back there.
The first time I came here must have been over 10 years ago. I don’t think the items changed, but prices must have gone up through inflation. The first course was the house special beef salad. The beef was scarce or so minced that some folks thought it was chicken or pork. It was quite refreshing, but felt that the beef disappeared. The second course was the lukewarm pot shaba-shabu style. The heat was low and took a while to cook the rare beef. Not that the beef needed to be well cooked. The idea of this was nice, but the reality was different. Then came the heavy weights and probably the stars of the 7-course beef: One plate that had steamed beef patties, beef sausages, beef rolls and beef wrapped in leaves. With the 2 kinds of fish sauce (one that looked almost nasty but packed a punch of shrimp paste) as dip, these four different beef items were delicious. The dipping of the rice paper and adding veggies and meat to create the wrap was fun initially, but I got lazy later on. The staff forgot about the last course until we asked - the beef porridge. The porridge was flavorful, but I had only one thin beef strip in it. We also heard that the cat fish was good so we got a medium one. I’m not a cat fish person, but I felt it was tasty enough. I was lucky to try this dish as we had a huge group. Overall, not a bad meal, but for the salad and the porridge, beef was an after-thought. They could have replaced the beef with another meat and it would not have made much difference. I gave this place 3.5 stars. The service was lacking since it was a busy Saturday night. A few people had asked for chili sauce 2-3 times, but it never came. Since we had 10 people, the service fee was automatically added at 20%. With a required 20% fee, I expected better service. Thus, rounded down to 3 stars. It’s good to try it once, but probably don’t need to go back often.
I would say that the beef is not the style I like. The veggies are served in a way that you need to tear leaves off on your own.
Menu is very different to the one on their website which I guess is now for their Sacramento branch? The 7 types of beef special has a minimum order of 2 so I couldn't have it! :(
First time there. Food is ok, not very surprised. No pho, show on a sign at door.

Really wondering if this restaurant pays for their higher reviews.. I have had much better viet food at cheaper prices. trying this restaurant was the first time in my life I have felt like I overpaid for viet food. at $37 pp with two order minimum you would expect the food to be of better quality. On top of that, the workers literally just rolled the beef rolls behind the cash register and then went to go help customers and went back to rolling it without washing their hands. The service was okay but would NEVER go back or recommend.
The food is good, but highly overpriced. The "7 courses of beef" is $40 per portion before tax and tip, and there is a minimum order of 2 portions. The same dish at Anh Hong in San Jose is only about $30. If possible, I would recommend going to their San Jose branch instead of Milpitas.
