Bay View Gyre Restaurant

First time there a couple of weeks ago. The courses were great; the scenery was just fantastic; and the foods were absolutely wonderful; crispy fish, soup of the day, grilled eggplant, and bacon cheeseburger, to name just a few. Highly recommended!

Bay View is one of the best clubs to golf in the bay area, the food is amazing, thank you Kreg! The Bartending staff are the best in the biz. Jordyn takes care of her patrons. Thank you Bay View!!!

This is a fun place We play from the 10th hole to the 18th hole and start at 6:30am (Sunrise time). The main reason is that this option won't be crowded. The rhythm of the greens run has more time for me to enjoy playing and feeling, all the way up the mountain and then down the hill. Each kick-off point has a wide enough field of vision to make people feel less oppressive and enjoy a sense of achievement in hitting the ball.

Bay view is my home course, every time I play here I enjoy it! It is a difficult hill course, great green condition and fantastic mountain view over there! I also take private lessons with bay view professional golf coach, they have trackman room for us to track our swing, it is easy to see what we need to fix our swing.

We recently hosted our company golf tournament at Bay View and it could not have been a better experience. The staff was welcoming, professional and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Kiara and Kelly were so pleasant to have at the bar keeping up with the many drink and food orders. We're so gratefull to the entire team for helping us create a memborable event. Highly recomend this club for anyone looking to host a tournament; we will definitely be back!

Go-to place for golf and food. Our group loves the friendly staff at the pro shop and restaurant. Always friendly and willing to help. The golf course is an exciting challenge with panoramic views of the South Bay. The menu hits all the marks. Always happy to be at Bay View and getting wonderful service from Kiara and the Bay View Team!

Bay view is the best place for special events like parties.We were here last month April 29, 2023 for our Knights of Columbus Ladies Luncheon Hawaiian Theme Party and it was a successful event. Everyone were happy and satisfied for the place, most especially the food and their service were excellent. We would like to give our sincere thanks and appreciation for all the Bay view staff and special mention to Mr. Phil Santamaria for being so nice to us. He and his staff did their best to accommodate us to make our event enjoyable and memorable. Great job Bay view and we will definitely be back in our future events. Thank you so much and God Bless!

We had a very nice time golfing here. My father in law is 92 and golfs every day except Mondays when they’re closed! It’s a beautiful course, I wish I took more photos.

I was there for a private event at their restaurant. It was my first time visiting. The service was great. The food was amazing. The decoration was nice. Everything made the event at the Bay View Golf Club truly a unforgettable experience.

I've played most of the public courses in the East Bay, and Bay View Golf Club is an excellent course: Challenging, well-maintained, true fairways, well-kept greens, raked bunkers with depth, very comfortable carts, and workers who are very helpful and friendly. It is a little far for me, but it is worth the trip.

It was both intimate and spacious with at the same time, the kind of ambiance we were looking for. I’m especially grateful to Chef Kreg who created a delicious menu while working with our dietary restrictions and uncertain guest count. They thought of everything: two buffet stations for better flow (and…the food was still hot when the last of our guests got their food) and for being so accommodating with requests by our guests. Special thanks to Jordyn, our bartender and she also took great care of us! There was not a drink she did not know how to make! We also were able to use the large screen TVs to loop photos of my dad for the duration of the event. Thank you again Bay View for providing exceptional customer service! I thought this course had a fun layout. Not super difficult, but the tees, fairways, and greens were all really nice. The course was cart path only and pretty soggy. I’m not from around here, so I’m not sure how much rain had fallen, or if this place is just always wet. The views were really nice up in the hills. The rate was defiantly worth playing at $50 for 18/cart. I’d play this again when I’m back in the area. Worth playing.

The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Whether you're a golfer or not, this is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal, a beer or a cocktail.

It’s been a few years since I’ve been here, it used to be Summitpointe, I think with new management, the course had been remodeled and it shows. It’s much more beautiful than before, the fairways are so green and well kept, the bunkers are full of soft sands. The greens have been aerated, slow and sandy but they will be perfect after a few months. The price is very reasonable and the pace on Friday was quick in 4hrs. This is not an easy course IMO but it’s beautiful with scenery. The cart now is GPS controlled so we can’t drive on the fairways and it has hole description and yardage but not accurate since we can’t drive to our balls. I was glad that we played here because Moffett canceled our reservation by mistake. We’re lucky to have a deal $90/2 walking and $120/2 with carts, I do recommend to have carts instead of walking because holes are extremely hilly, a good exercise if pushing cart and walking.

Dinner tonight at the recently renovated Bay View Golf Club in Milpitas! Great food, good company, new menu, new management, excellent fish & chips, great service, fancy chandeliers, fire pits, covered patio, churros, (yes churros!), and a VIP table waiting just for you! We’ve always loved it up here but seemed like the restaurant was just a convenient spot for the golfers to grab a bite instead of making it a place that Milpitas residents want to dine! So glad to see that it is finally getting the attention it deserves! We will definitely be back!

It was perfect for us who like to still eat good food, have some bubbly, and dance to music (from back in the day.) and What? There's a golf club in Milpitas... So we came to eat, sip, and dance - menu was island style /comfort food - delicious, made with care, and just right to hold all the Mimosa's we had. The servers were happy to be there, so offered service with a smile ~ aiming to please. Phil the Manager was wonderful to work with to make arrangements so all we had to do was eat, and be merry. Crowd was friendly and great vibes even if they didn't know us - much respect, and joy in the room. I look forward to joining an event again, and bringing friends who want to eat and dance during the day. DJ's brought the playlists that reminded us of our younger days. Mixed age range of crowd - and by the way, not limited to Girlfriends though event almost suggested it. The Gals there were so nice all around!!

We celebrated a family birthday here and couldn’t have picked a better spot! The restaurant and bar on the golf course was super easy to find, with plenty of parking, which made arriving with our group completely stress-free. The space is roomy and comfortable—perfect for a celebration. The buffet food was delicious with lots of variety, and everything tasted fresh and well prepared thanks to chef Chris. The drink specials were a great bonus, and the bartenders (hi Kat and Jordyn!) were awesome—friendly, welcoming, and happy to make recommendations . The staff overall were incredibly attentive and helped make the birthday feel extra special. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained, and the overall vibe was relaxed, fun, and welcoming. A fantastic place for birthdays, family gatherings, or a laid-back meal with a great view. We’ll definitely be back!

Phil ensured we had everything right for the event, Chef Kreg had food that EVERYONE loved, and bartenders Antonio and Jordyn provided outstanding service. I hosted a corporate dinner indoors for 120 people. Phil (the event organizer) was awesome to deal with. He helped select meals based on my parties dietary restrictions and my wants. Everyone enjoyed the food. The service was fantastic during the event as well. I would recommend hosting an event here!

Bay View Golf provided a great experience! Played a twilight round with two other players in under 4 hours. The course was in good condition, and check-in was quick and easy. After the round, the meal and drinks were enjoyable, and the service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for a relaxing day on the course!

Very interesting holes. Not dull, helps to play a few times. Greens break a lot, difficult to read. Layout is creative and fun, but not easy the first time. Course could be maintained a little better. Small pro shop, but nice facilities for banquets, etc. Can be windy at times.

Overall - a wonderful and sometimes very charismatic. One windy day, no matter how many times you hammered the ball, the wind (no rain) would push the ball any way the course wanted. One issue - the gps enabled carts - WAY TOO tight. I am submitting a picture where the cart is approx 15 feet off the cart path and locked up....? management - you know the lines for each hole - at least allow for us to get to the edges of the fair way? I get the winter weather thing - it's 90% over.

Pace of play was poor, green speed erratic and so fast on some greens that it was almost unplayable. Not an enjoyable place to play, will not go back. On a positive note, staff were amazing!

I've been playing here since the 90s. I wanted this remodel to be GOOD. It's really a nice lay out and always challenging with the elevation changes, sloped lies, and historically speedy greens. And there's a great view of Silicon Valley on the 6th. I paid $70 to ride on the weekend hoping for something like courses in this price range (Calippe comes to mind). Unfortunately, the experience was way over hyped and over priced. There is way too much brown out there to say it is pretty. They filled in the lake on the 7th, that's a boo for me. You really can't try to cut the corner on your drive on 9 because what used to be playable rough is just dirt right now. 10 is a temporary green, par 3. I get it sometimes you have to do that but why still charge $70?! They cut some trees back and away on 15 and 16 making it a bit easier, but this course needs some greenery. Oh and the lakes on 14 and 15 look like they are still a work in progress. I'll try it again in the spring after the rains and new irrigation kicks in. Right now it's gonna have to be a no for me. I hope they do some deals at a lower price point so people come in and see the potential. I want this course to succeed. But I am not paying this much again for this course in it's current condition. Summitpointe I wish you good luck.

Booked a tee time for four at Bayview and had to cancel last minute — that’s on me and my group. But instead of showing any flexibility, their operations manager Joseph (yes, the guy with the mustache and inflated ego) forced me to pay for the entire reservation. When I tried to reason with him, he was dismissive, rude, and completely inflexible. It’s amazing how someone in such a low-level role can act like he runs Augusta. Rigid, arrogant, and clearly more focused on squeezing money than building loyal golfers. Most courses I’ve played at are reasonable — offering a credit or reschedule — but Bayview takes the opposite approach. Great location, but terrible customer service. If you value fair treatment and professionalism, head to Cinnabar, Coyote Creek, or even the local muni courses — all of which actually appreciate their players.

Completely not worth the $95 on the weekend. So many blind spots, course is poorly designed. Between holes 7-9, you have a really high chance of getting pegged by a ball. Extremely slow pace of play and the carts has too many invisible barriers. Any other course in the bay is better than this one.

When I was there last week, grass stated to get water so I believe it will be better in weeks. But it was a big mess that time. Water flowing around and dusty fairway. Went there after 1 year after I visited, no healthy grass much and all muddy. My husband got membership but we decided to cancel it. We thought it was worthy to keep due to good price but not any more.

Played yesterday and was pretty disappointed, especially for the $95 green fee. The fairways were in rough shape and not maintained well. The bunkers were muddy and looked like they hadn’t been touched in a while. The greens were decent and probably the only part of the course that was in good shape. It was cart path only, even though it was a sunny day with no recent rain. That made the round slower and more frustrating than it needed to be. Service was lacking too. From 6 to 10 a.m., there was no one at the bar and no cart person on the course. We couldn’t get any drinks or snacks the entire time. To top it off, I left the course covered in mosquito bites. For what they’re charging, this course seriously needs better maintenance, better service, and some pest control. Definitely not worth the price.

Played on Jan 10, 2026 - absolutely the worst experience on any golf course that I have played in 30 years. 11:20 am tee time was backed up by at least 6 groups - the course was so crowded that every hole had at least 2 groups waiting, so pace of play was appalling. By the time we arrived at the 18th tee it was past sunset, but we finished the round in darkness at 5:30pm, just so could complete the round. 6+ hours for a round of golf is just unacceptable!

Played yesterday and was pretty disappointed, especially for the $95 green fee. The fairways were in rough shape and not maintained well. The bunkers were muddy and looked like they hadn’t been touched in a while. The greens were decent and probably the only part of the course that was in good shape.
