Excellent food.
Good food and good services.
We tried their dim sum here at Golden Sun Palace in Milpitas. The prices are a little cheaper compared to the restaurants in Cupertino and Sunnyvale area. Dim Sum is decent and restaurant is decent in size and can seat all different parties. Good deals on their set menu. Overall worth trying if you are in the east Bay Area.
Our favorite for dim sum
Ótimo atendimento. Comida maravilhosa. Ambiente agradável.
Little salty chicken 紅燒乳鴿 (Pigeon) Very Good and tasty
Good dim sum and service.
Great Cantonese chinese meals
Best tasting dimsum
No attitude here, good food, good service, plenty of parking. They give you taro tapioca dessert at the end. Reasonable prices.
Family friendly. If you go for takeout, there is a currently a promotion for 10% off.
If you want to try authentic Chinese food, you must go there
Authentic Dim Sum place. Better than Joy Luck and Koi Palace.
Good dim sum. Authentic Cantonese food
Good food but on the expensive side similar restaurant
Great pleace to enjoy meals !
Dim sum highly recommended. The dinner entrees not as good but decent.
I’m so glad we made this place our quick go to dim sum place. We’ve been here 3 times for brunch this year and the food is consistently good, the service is typical Chinese restaurant, the prices very reasonable . We are not rushed and the whole experience is always pleasant. There’s not too many Hong Kong Cantonese style dim sum restaurants left in San Jose. Covid killed so many places and many people retired from this labor intensive, long hours business. Also I feel that millennial Asian American are a lot more health conscious than their parents. So dim sum might not longer be as popular as before Covid. We enjoyed occasional brunch with our kids & grandkids. We meet at Glolden Sun Palace and everyone is happy here.
Excellent foods, friendly service personnel and nice clean settings.
good food, good service. the place is a bit noisy. Set menu looks good, i will come with friends next time.
I love Golden Sun Palace :) The food is always so good and the service is amazing! Such a great place for dim sum and other delicious plates ♡ I always love trying something new here because every dish is just so amazing!
Our group of thirty old ladies was treated well and food was good.
Golden Sun Palace is my go-to spot for dim sum. I visited on a Sunday morning for a family breakfast. Food: Ordering was straightforward – a limited a la carte system here. You just choose from the menu, point out the dishes and quantities, and they bring it to you. Everything we tried was delicious, fresh, and perfectly crispy if it was fried. No complaints about the food! Service: Service was typical for a dim sum place. The staff didn’t check in much, but they kept our tea refilled, and they seated us right away when we arrived. Overall, service was just fine. Atmosphere: Surprisingly, it was less crowded than I’d expect for a Sunday morning dim sum place, which was a nice change. There was plenty of space between tables, and the decor felt like a classic family-style Chinese restaurant. Overall, I’d definitely come back for dim sum. Ordering from a menu felt quicker and simpler than waiting for carts. For groups, about two dishes per person is a good amount. I’ll be back!
Found this restaurant while searching for Hong Kong cuisine and tried it out with friends for dinner. The prices are amazingly affordable, both quality and quantity of the food are good and the services provided by the staff are exemplary. For dessert, a delicious herbal grass jelly was served along with some almond cookies. This restaurant is worth coming for multiple visits.
8/14/2025 visit Excellent price for set dishes Very taste Hong Kong style food. 06/22/2025 revisits Dim sum Nice portion and food is just delicious Mark this restaurant for one of favorite Hong Kong styles restaurants
staff is so sweet. my daughter had her first birthday here and everyone was so kind and funny :) food is great and the packages are reasonably priced.
Finding myself in the midst of a garden cleanup on a serene Sunday morning, my cravings for dimsum became impossible to ignore. Fortunately, DoorDash was there to save the day. With a few quick taps, my order was placed, and in what felt like the blink of an eye, a friendly DoorDash driver was greeting me at my door, handling my food with the utmost care and a smile that matched the sunny day. I had chosen eight different dishes, each promising a taste of Hong Kong’s authentic culinary landscape. And promise they did! The quality and flavors of the food were outstanding, capturing the essence of traditional Hong Kong dimsum with every bite. Whether it was the tender, flavorful dumplings, the perfectly steamed buns, or the savory rolls, each dish was a testament to the chef’s expertise and the rich culinary culture they represent. The fair pricing was the cherry on top, making this indulgent feast feel all the more satisfying. It’s not often that you find a place that delivers not only on taste but also on value, and this restaurant nailed it. For anyone looking to explore authentic dimsum or simply in need of a delicious meal without the hassle of dining out, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Thanks to DoorDash, my Sunday gardening chore turned into an unexpected culinary adventure, making for a truly memorable morning. Five stars all around for the incredible food, swift delivery, and the joy of discovering a new favorite.
We've been coming to this restaurant for years. Usually, we are celebrating something special like a birthday or meeting a friend from the past. Then there's the usual hankering for good Dim Sum. Needless to say, we love the food here and their flavors have always been consistent. Because of worker shortage, a few of our favorite dishes are no longer available and rolling carts gone. Love lost on those but more gained because they are still around. I highly recommend this place for Dim Sum especially.
I’m not a Chinese food fan, but I have to admit that the Peking duck was AMAZING! I loved every bit of it! It’s a must try! As many of the Chinese restaurants, the place rather looks like a bit canteen but don’t be distracted by this! The food is authentic and very delicious!
Good quality and good amount of food. Service is OK, but really as good as most of the other dim sum places. If you order to-go you can 10% off but you need to pay for the to-go box like $0.5 per box.
Super tasty! Ordered dim sum on thanksgiving night. The shrimp dishes had whole shrimps inside! Loved it. Will come back

I think golden sun place is undervalued. Not good reviews, but stuff and food are great. We are Zen acupuncture clinic, right across the street from this restaurant, and we go there to eat every week. Good place, we recommend!
One of my favourite dim sum in the bay. The food is delicious, especially their roast duck and cha siu. Don’t need to make the reservation ahead and the staffs are friendly.

食物還可以,不錯。
Decent dinner expects averaging prices between $35.00 per head 👌
Good quality food for the price. Really tasty dim sum.
Excellent seafood soups. Should try them.
Typical Cantonese yum cha restaurant
When I come here I know it is going to be amazing or it is just going to be fine. In general I recommend the Golden Sun.
Good food for the price. Crowded on the weekends.
Nice ppl
Nice place, good ambience.
This strip mall is packed on Sunday mornings. Good luck trying to find a parking spot haha! But Golden Sun isn’t too packed which is nice. You can call ahead to reserve a table if you have a large group. Food is ok. Some of the dim sum dishes are meh but they do come out quick. So if speed and not waiting around is what you like, GS is a good Sunday brunch “yam cha” spot.
Very authentic Chinese/Cantonese cuisine. The dim sums are great. Golden Sun Palace serves 4 Ha Grows in one oder. Other restaurants have shrinkflation and have only 3 in an order. The dinner is great as well. There are set dinners with various combinations.
The food was great, with really great dim sum, especially the pork shumai, which was a standout. The service was okay, as many of the servers didn't speak English, making communication a bit challenging. Despite that, the quality of the food made it a worthwhile visit.
Been eating here since May 2020. The price is very reasonable and you do get 10% when ordering to go. I mostly order dim sum here. But dinner is good as well, my favorites is beef chow fun(dry), daily soup, lamb clay pot with bean curd, chicken and jelly fish cold dish.
After visiting with a friend in Campbell I came out here to be celebrated by my wonderful parents for my birthday. The restaurant was nearly empty and had patrons at only 2 tables. I don't believe that this is a sign of their quality. This was a weeknight on a holiday week so I imagine business was just slow. I've been here before, and it has become a favorite of my parents. My mother being the excellent cook she is, when she likes a place, it must be good and this place is pretty good. We ordered 3 plates. My dad always orders the Beef Chow Fun and this came as a surprise to me because I also love the chowfun and have generally considered it a low end Chinese food item but I love the fact that my dad adores it and that I likely got that taste bud from him. Their Beef Chowfun is classic good. Green Onions, Onions, sprouts, noodles and beef. Their beef in this dish is stand out since it is not only generous, but it was tender as well. Oily and not saucy. Not complaining, both versions are solid but it does vary depending on where you get it. Dry is also a variation but my least liked of the versions. This one is oily. Also had classic Mayo Shrimp with candied walnuts. Shrimp tasted fresh and good and mayo was not oiled out. It was still mayo. Candied walnuts were lightly candied and not dark or heavy shell candied. light on the sweet. Third dish was what I think is a thin sliced pork BBQ... thing. Deep fried and sauced? My mom liked this one in particular. Yeah. It was good. Other dishes I have had here have been solid from past experience. Their dessert was a bean and tapioca ball sugar soup thing. It was good. Kinda like mom used to make but I found the consistency of the stuff to be softer than I expected. As in really tender. This is neither good or bad but my preference with this type of dessert is for it to have a little push back. And there were these little sesame cookie things... a bit dry and powdery for my tastes. My only single complaint was that for a mostly empty restaurant, it took a pretty decent amount of time for the food to come out. We were in no rush so it was fine, just unexpected and this is not a fast food. At the same time, you know everything was freshly made. This is classic good Chinese food. Do it.
The roast duck is great with crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat. Also try the beef stew with turnips and Singapore noodles for a great family meal
Food was good but price was really good compared to other similar restaurants in the area.
One of the better Chinese restaurants with familiar dishes as well as some unique ones. Everything we ordered was great like the fried rice, peiking duck, walnut prawns, and egg drop soup. My only complaint was that the hot and sour soup wasn't really spicy and had bigger pieces of meat that I'm not used to. The service was pretty good and what you'd expect in a large Chinese restaurant.
Their pan-fried noodles were decent and big portions. Not bad price. Would order again. Good amount of seafood as well.
Great food, especially the house fried rice, the stuffed eggplant and the salt & pepper prawns. My husband loves the chicken feet. So many new dishes to try!
The food and price are ok. Among the dishes I tried, I recommend crispy durian cake and chicken feet. My beef rice roll didn't taste much of beef. The lobster 🦞 is small but tastes ok. The shrimp bean curd roll mainly contains black fungus (and some small dried shrimp).
This Golden Sun Palace is located in Milpitas inside the Milpitas Square Center. It is a Hong Kong Style Chinese Restaurant that served Seafood, Noodles, Rice platters, Chow Fun, Siu Mai, many kind of Dim Sum, and various Seafood Dumplings. They're also offer different occasions parties here as well. Great Indoor/outdoor dinning available. They have lots of options and food here are pretty Flavorful. This was our first time at this Golden Sun Palace and I definitely enjoyed the Seafood Dim Sum here. They are open weekdays from 11am til 3pm and 5pm til 9pm. On the Weekend they are open early 10am till 3pm and 5pm to 9pm.

Been going to the corner store and location for over 10 years. Although ownership has changed hand many time, the quality of the food is still like what it always was. One of the more authentic flavor that I gre up with, which is San Francisco Chinatown. So glad to have same taste near san jose/Milpitas area.
this is a solid place for dimsum and Chinese food. on the Chinese 'fancy' but not expensive. staff are good. sometime the dimsum cart people can be a little pushing but still.ok.

食物可以,但可惜我點蝦餃有啲問題,有少少酸,價格很好。
This restaurant is not good Cantonese food place. But the price is a little bit expensive.
Quality dropped a little but there are still some good dishes.
Portion and price doesnt really make sense... Imo they should add 1 to their portion for the price
Average Cantonese teahouse. Food was OK but not outstanding. Service was attentive
Their full menu is quite large (182 mains, 3 deserts, 6 beverages), but I did not order any as I came for Yum Cha (飲茶). The Dim Sum (點心) selection has a fair amount of variety and the ones I had tasted ok.

The food is okay but the service is really bad. The food comes really slow. We ordered a Hainan chicken and it came after 1 hour. The other steak cube never came. The waiter first told us it was coming and later told us the dish was never sent to the kitchen.
Good price for avg quality food. Poor service which is even below avg dimsun places.
The food doesn't taste good at all
Dim sum quality is so so. Fried noodle dishes ok Not many ppl at lunch on weekdays Service is not good, no one smile or appear happy The place is not very clean Not expect to go back soon
Just had a terrible experience where the final charge was different than the bill presented. Staff corrected the mistake but had no idea what caused the additional charges. The waiter who was in charge of the bill was listed as “Chris” on the receipt. Decent food for the price, but deceptive practices left a bitter aftertaste I suspect the scam is to present a bill with the tip invisibly added and then expect the customers to tip again. In our case the expected ~$100 bill would have come out closer to ~$150 so the difference was obvious
I enjoyed going there for the quiet serene and Ok food. But yesterday, I got ripped off. Ordered 2 good meat plates and he suggested a Cauliflower, for greens and I ok it and got a bill for 21.00 for the cauliflower only 16 for the ribs and 15 for the ,Mongolian beef. 21 for just steamed cailflower? This a rip off. I called him on it and he said yes an error only 19.00 We are elders and he just ripped us off. Never again. Planety other good Chinese reataurants. Do not patronise any that rips off like this one did.

So long
Nasty place, after getting my food went to the restroom, noticed and employee using the toilet, he went outside without washing his hands, disgusted left hoping the city reads this comment and do a through inspection on the facility, needless to say I would never come back. Your loss
Food was good but service was horrible
Pretty sure I got food poisoning from here. The rice smelled a bit sour and tasted off. Would strongly advise against eating here
Food is usually very good. But, I was very disappointed with the lobster Yi noodles this time. I didn’t expect there were a lot more lobster shells then there were meat. If they need to give me anything to compensate for the smaller lobster, they should give me more noodles, not more shells. Plus, the shells were in cracked into small bits and pieces that I had to pick out, so I couldn’t even enjoy the mostly plain noodles without working for them first. Definitely not worth $35. Effective immediately, I’m putting Golden Sun Palace on probation!
1.Stir fry beef over rice noodle with black bean sauce: they did not stir fry the noodle first or reheat the noodle. The beef with sauce was hot but the noodle on the center of the plate was cold. 2.Beef belly lo mein: they did not put beef stew sauce on top of the noodle. They just serve a bowl of soup and put beef belly and the noodle on a plate without sauce.
The worst service never has. All the dim sum is cold 👎👎👎. But the other table had a hot dim sum, because that table was relationship with the minister . I suggest the boss should check the camera see how u employees to service the customers 🙄
