Què diuen els clients de The Pizza Box
The Pizza Box is known for its large, reasonably priced pizzas and generous toppings. Many long-time customers miss the original owner ("Dragon Lady"), but appreciate the consistent prices and new renovations. Garlic knots are a must-try, but some find the Margherita pizza too sweet.

This is the best pizza I've had in a long time! Also, great garlic knots and great service. Perfect crust.
Same great food if not better with the updated appliances and new owners. Still providing pizza to help us through this Pandemic. A Milpitas staple.
Best pizza I've ever had. I love New York style pizza. The quality is excellent. Never disappoints. Love the cheese, crusty and sause. I highly recommend.
I've been coming here for 18 years. It's that good. I would like to point out this place is cheaper than chain pizza restaurants. If the establishment isn't perfect, that is more than outweighed by how good the food is.
Been going here for many years and pizza has always remained great even with the ownership change. Definitely better than most pizzas in the area and is well priced.
This is probably the best pizza in the Bay Area. Got all the right texture and taste. You want something that is so great that the calories are worth it :) I’ll be back soon.
The sauce is outstanding. Lots of toppings and the cheese is locally sourced. I don’t even like New York style pizza and this place is making me rethink my opinion.
Dude I can't believe more people don't know about this! They have deals that are for real excellent! And the quality is really good as well. I really like the Papa Juan.
Old school. Woot woot. Roaches running around. Jukebox playing bullets with butterfly wing's and I think they had a game or two. Back in the early to mid 90's. I remember when they had stacks of pizza slices. Also remember the hair under our pepperoni. I miss those days it was a wonderful time.
Great pizza! I ordered a single slice of Margherita and it was more than enough for a meal. Very tasty with a nice, crispy crust.
Been going here for years. Best pizza around, great prices. Don't worry about the service, you come for pizza not compliments.
will drive far for good food...luckily this new to me Pizza location is near..SOLID PIZZA!!!! JUST SOLID!! Crust was just perfect,sauce...the sauce spot on...We should make a new subdivision name...everyone claims they are a New York style or Chicago style....how about a Californian Style!!!!???!!!! was delicious and well made...we had it straight out of the oven, all 4 of us loved it and picked it apart..as in saying and critiquing our slices.....and ALL had nothing but positive points to add. "FOUND MY NEW PIZZA PLACE!" As in all things...eat it there..taking it home ,you better reheat in an oven otherwise...even the best pizza is mediocre. had to take this time to give them due props and credits.
MILPITAS CLASSIC! Currently under renovation by new owner but rest assured that the classic taste and feel of Pizza Box will endure. Went recently for a tasting by the new owners, pizza made with the same great recipe and taste like childhood! Looking forward to have them back in the neighborhood!
Great pizza, but hands down the garlic knots are a must!! Went to the pre opening when they gave out free pizza and it was just as good as before if not better
This place has not changed even though the owners had change same great taste. I like how they call when the pizza is done before the given est time.

it's not the dragon lady's pizza, but i would still eat here for lunch. this restaurant has resisted inflation. the prices haven't changed in the 5 years since they changed ownership. or maybe their prices were already anticipating inflation and the rest of the world finally caught up. a $7 jumbo cheese slice from the pizza box is actually a pretty strong value proposition now. there's an $8 daily deal that looks good, though it limits your options to the specialty slice of the day. their full pizza prices are about in line with other non-franchise and non-warehouse pizza places. the sauce is more robust than i remember, though they use a bit too much of it and you have to watch out for topping slide. the pizza is now edge-to-edge with barely any crust. the dough is less airy and more like a flatbread, almost like the bakers are pressing the dough flat and removing bubbles. it's not how i like pizza but i could see certain people preferring this style. there are some tables and stools but it looks like they are doing away with dine in entirely and using the space for storage. pizza slices thankfully come in takeout boxes and not in paper bags (the one part of new york pizza that should not be copied)
First I openly admit that I love virtually all pizza. So take that opinion wirh a grain of salt! Pizza Box is one of my local favorites though. Their crust is on the thicker side, nice and chewy but not deep dish. I think this type of pizza is ideal for takeout, and the leftovers reheat good as fresh. This is a good thing because the pizzas are huge and there will be leftovers. Their larger sizes are great for parties. Topping selection is thorough but not exotic. A local favorite that we order from every few weeks.
Been coming here a long time. My sister introduced me to pizza box when she was going to Milpitas high school. She graduated in '89 😄 Definitely best in the area and honestly for my taste it's one of the better pizza spots in the south bay. Nothing fancy as far as toppings and different combinations. Just your typical toppings that you get at other joints. The veggies are fresh, the cheese is gooey but it's something about that dough that they have perfected. It has the perfect chew and it's not too crispy nor doughy. Service is super friendly, when I picked up a few uncle sam's Raven was so nice to help my to my car. She was cool over the phone, patient , easy to understand and thorough. Took the pies home for my daughters bday party and everyone loved it. Will be coming back again....and again.
Liked the new renovation of the place; looks clean, fresh and more space. The pizza was well presented with ingredients evenly distributed through out the pizza with that perfect oven baked toast. The dough seemed a bit fuller and more moist, which could be considered good or bad, but this pizza is Pretty darn close to the original, maybe even slightly better. Ordering options have changed, but I'm grateful this place is still open. Bravo to the new management and crew members ! & farewell to Annie , a.k.a Dragon Lady, hope you're having the best vacation ever ! Hopefully the new owners will consider replacing that arcade machine for something newer.
The best pizza i have ever had. It was always plentiful toppings, and the only place to get 20 inch and larger pizzas that were good. I use to live just up the street and walked over to get pizza and take back home. The old Asian woman who ran it was the kindest and wonderful to be around. Every time I come to visit the bay area i stop to get pizza here.
Excellent pizza! Really good prices. Although I never know what the lady is saying. Always gets my order right tho. Gooey cheese and crisp sourdough crust. A regular stop, easy on off the freeway as well.

helpful service at counter $10 slice huge daily specials $8 slice ( of the day of the week) + soda & knots Saturday's special veg no indoor dining
Excellent pizza but the owner need to improve communication skill. It is your business and don't complaint about customers making the long waiting. Customers are OK with the wait when they ordered. They knew it could be long wait.
Great old style pizza,,, new owner's so we will see if it stay consistent!!! Ordered a combo.... Plenty of meat and cheese on it.... You won't be dissatisfied with it..
Near perfect pizza (new York style). Store front is Mom and Pop and nothing fancy. Just like it should be. Went back for the King Kong pizza. The crust is so perfect! Toppings delicious.
one of the best New York style thin crust pizza in the south bay!! Watch out Amici! Pizza my heart or any of the major chains like pizza hut, round table are no match.
Ive been going to this place for decades. Very tasty slices with plenty of tomato sauce. Service not great, and its set up mostly for take out. As the owner has gotten older she has spent less time making pizzeria and hired help and the quality has suffered some, but I still enjoy eating their pizza.
A small place at the Corner! Expected it to be a little larger but was sufficient enough for a small group of friends to dine-in! Huge slices available as well as Personal Pizzas. The garlic rolls were decent. The Pizza was super freshly prepared! The staff was friendly! PS - They have Arcade Video Games for Fun!!! :)
This is my go to place when you have a party and want to feed a crowd. These pizzas are HUGE and are resonably priced. Sizes are from small to Uncle Sam (biggest - barely squeeze thru the door with the box) Delicious pizza! Took off one star for the decor of the place, looks the same inside like it did when I was going to Milpitas High back in 1989! 2/2/19 Went to Pizza Box tonight and saw this! I guess they're under new management and remodeling. I sure hope the pizza tastes the same when they reopen. And if the little Asian lady is gone, happy retirement and thanks for all the years of delicious pizza. 🥂😢🍕

I've been wanting pizza lately and some fam mentioned they used to go here in the 80s. I went to check it out and ended up getting two slices. One Pepperoni and the other was a Hawaiian. Both were pretty good. Not too soft or crunchy but the perfect in-between. You get a bang for your buck here because these slices aren't your average size slice and the price is good. The atmosphere here looks like you found a time machine and took it back to the 80s with an arcade game and an added flat-screen.
Great pizza, amazing prices! I was a little skeptical of the size of the pizzas listed on their menu, less than 30 bucks for a 24 inch pizza?? Really? Yes. This place has a pizza even larger than that! We ordered a King Kong sized pepperoni and it was pretty good! Nothing gourmet but its a very decent flavored pizza. The only negatives I have to say is that the delivery is hit or miss. I've had their pizza twice now and the first time they told us it would be way over an hour for delivery and they are only an 8 minute drive away. The second time I believe they arrived within their 45-50 min mark, certainly didn't feel like it took that long. The actual shop is in a kind of run down little strip mall and there's not much to it. There are a few tables and chairs to sit at to eat.
Margherita pizza was too sweet. The Almighty was a solid take on a combination pizza, and the sausage was good. Decent value for a personal pizza meal.

The pizza was good. But the establishment was really dirty. Also the lady said it was a 15$ minimum for debit cards....
Not quite the same Pizza Box. Pizza was served with WAY too much sauce. Dough was bland. Maybe just growing pains. Garlic knots were great though!
Really good pizza but really flaky experience ordering here since new ownership. I've been told I couldnt order a certain size pizza because they were "out", I've ordered a pizza and told it would be ready at 8pm but they didn't mention they were closing at 8pm and they were closed when I got there at 8:10 and they gave my pizza to another customer, I have to wait excessive times beyond the time told to come, etc etc. No great experience but good pizza.
Staff is nice but my last two orders have been burnt on the bottom.
the pizza ok but the service is terrible and the the lady that helps you out yells at you when your ordering what type of service is that i just said what i wanted and she barely spoke any english and made her repeat her self since she doesnt speak full sentences she says only one word to get her point across and how are u suppose to understand that and she starts yelling at you out of no where my god the worst service ever , they be handling the pizza at the same time as the money in that run down place
Last 3 times I’ve called it said it’s closed…when its open… pizza is great but sucks having to wait so long when you can’t CALL AHEAD
Pro tip: avoid Pizza Box on Mondays. Technically they ARE open, but they will not sell anything other than slices or a personal pizza combo which includes a can of soda and 1 order a garlic knots per order, not per each pizza. Total rip-off. On other days of the week when we've been allowed to order from the full menu it's acceptable quality for the price. 2 separate times we've had to wait while they remake one of our pizzas because they accidentally dropped it. I guess we should be thankful they didn't pick it up off the floor and sell it to us anyway.
there was some lady in there, half shaved head blue hair, extremely rude and rolled her eyes when i asked how her day was, she somehow misheard pepperoni and ended up giving me a pizza that had a million toppings on it, not to mention half the toppings were off the pizza and on one side, never going again, new management ruined the spot

Good food, terrible service. I’ve been, or tried to 3 times, first time I actually got food. After they opened 30 mins late and then told me it’d be a minute. Second and third time I went was just not open, despite being in their operating hours. Never again
The owner has a real problem! Deliberately makes mistakes if she doesn't like you. Owner Emmy doesn't understand how to treat customers. She should pass her business on to someone else like maybe her younger staff.
Super disappointed the pizza is good but. . . I wanted a pizza half Combination half Pepperoni. They will not let you do half and half. You can only get one kind of pizza. Unless you buy 2 separate pizzas or do by the slice. Honestly never heard of that in my life, every place lets you do half and half. Not cool!
If you are lucky enough to find them open, the pizza isn't bad, not as good as dragon lady pizza, but good. They are just never open when it shows they should be open.
It's a new ownership and their pizza is nothing compared to what it used to be. Bummer, as despite being a hole in the wall, the pizza used to be delicious. The guys who served me were great but the pizza was frankly not good (at least to my liking). I should say that there was a generous portion of topping. Maybe some people like it, but not me.
I really wanted to love it. The service was great, very friendly. The pizza, the wings, the knots, all tasted terrible. The dough was so soggy, everything was burnt, and it all had a nasty after-taste. I'm not sure what the aftertaste is, but maybe it's their oven or something that's not clean. And the knots didn't taste like anything, no garlic and no cheese. Just soggy dough that was burnt on the bottom. Im disappointed I spent my money here. I was really hoping that we can start coming here more often. I'm hoping they figure out whatever is going on, close, and reopen with a better approach. And of course, there's nowhere to sit. It is just a pick-up and go place, but they could try to clean it a bit and knock off all the dust off the ceiling and around.
Worst pizza ever. I wish I can give 0stars. I got it for my daughter’s birthday party wanting to give business to a local restaurant. The dough was so gooey and chewy and not cooked - kids didn’t want to eat the cheese pizza you can imagine how bad it was. The hostess at the desk who took the order was so rude and unpleasant. Never ever going there again! Ruined my daughter’s bday party.
I visited this place years ago and the pizza was amazing. There was a lady that owned it then. She could be mean but her pizza was amazing! I’m from out of state and I happened to be in town and ordered with intentions on getting the same great pizza. When I got to my destination and opened it, IT WAS AWFUL! The pizza was burnt to the point that I didn’t wven know what was on it. It looked like bugs were cooked on it. The wings had a good flavor but they were burnt as well! I took a pic and sent it to my sister who was grossed out as well. She turned me on to this place when she lived in the San Jose area. Needless to say, I threw the whole pizza away and went to Pizz’a Chicago which I should’ve gone to in the first place. I will be writing a yelp and google review. The staff were friendly though.
I miss the Dragon lady. She always made great pizza. I ordered a large pepperoni and asked for mushroom on half. They said they cant do that because it would not cook even. ???? So my wife went to pick it up and they gave it to someone else. They said they would make another one so she waited. Then she got it and it was burnt. Then they made another one and she came home and then went back to pick it up and this one is not cooked. If the owner wants this place to succeed he better get his act together. This was a terrible experience, terrible pizza.
