Stopped for quick lunch, it’s my first time trying mushroom tofu soup and surprisingly it was very good, vegan with fresh egg, the cold noodle was also very tasty, noodles were cook perfectly not over cooked, with cool icy soup, very filling, best part, they have outdoor sitting and doggies allowed! I was able to enjoy my meal with my little dog!
This is officially my new favorite Korean tofu place. There chicken is the best I've had and highly recommended. You can come for traditional food or chicken a win-win in one stop. Update came here again this time for the soy garlic chicken and wow that is good. The bi bim bop was also good as well as the seafood tofu soup. You gotta try this place don't need to go to El Camino anymore. 1st time at this Korean restaurant. Everything we ate was good. The chicken may be there specialty with about 4 variety of flavors. Wife said there tofu soup was also very good. She got the special combo soup and BBQ dish. The "taboki" dish was also very good but probably.mispelled it terribly. Even the banchan was all good my faves potatoes and fish cake.
had weds lunch .. the grill pork was excellent and a good portion . the panchan had a good selection . the waitress was very very efficient serving the whole restaurant . she made ordering quick and easy with always a smile . good food, good service ...what not to like . when I get hungry for korean food I will return .
Crispy and tender chicken. Try the hot and spicy if you like saucy wings. Try the garlic and soy if you want a more dry, but flavorful chicken. I ordered online through their website and picked-up at the counter. Chicken comes with macaroni salad, glass noodles, and radish. Plenty of parking. Korean-speaking servers.
This is truly a hidden gem for Korean fried chicken! Everything is so good, banchan, fried chicken, bibim nengmyon! The soy and garlic fried chickens are so juicy, flavorful, and tender. The soy garlic sauce soaked up in every single side of the batter, not just soy garlic sauce drizzle on the top of the fried chickens! Highly recommended!
Friend and I went here on a weekday evening. We ordered tofu soups, which were solid and plentiful. There were a good variety of side dishes that I probably liked best. The restaurant is smaller and more intimate so it felt like my friend and I were being too loud lol
The place is pretty good overall, and service was great. The stone bibimbap w/ chicken was delicious and the portion was large. The soy garlic chicken is a must tbh - it’s a little dry, but the flavor makes up for it. Seafood pancake was crunchy, and the crust had extra flavor compared to other Korean restaurants.
Great Taste, Kind Service, Friendly Space! It is one of my family's favorite restaurants. Dine in or Take out, Always Satisfactory!
Always go to Tofu House 😋 We like their tofu soup and banchan, which have a variety of flavors. For fried chicken, I would prefer to have the sauce on the side. It is also easy to make an online order and pick it up. They pack it well.
First time trying this spot and my Korean husband approves! I think it replaced a Thai spot that used to be here? Anyways, came on a Wednesday night around 7:45pm. No wait and there were a few tables already taken. I had called prior to confirm if there was indoor dining as well. Side dishes: everything was delicious! I loved the kimchi because it has more of the fish/shrimp paste flavor Pork Tofu Soup: this pork was so flavorful and tender. I kept telling my husband how delicious the meat was. The broth was so delicious and the server broke the egg for me. Yay! Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap: the stone pot was sizzling for awhile! The rice at the bottom was crunchy, which my husband looooooves. You really gotta keep scraping the rice at the bottom to mix everything up with the gochujang (red) paste. There's so many variety of authentic Korean dishes that is offered here. Highly recommend this spot. We're coming back!
Excellent korean cuisine. Not that fancy but the food was great. The seafood pancake had plenty of squid and cooked perfectly. Crispy what I prefer. The mackerel is do with two big portions. Very tender. The spicy Galbi Jim was good. I had better at other places. The tofu soup was full of seafood. We also had the fried chicken which was prefectly fried. This place can get crowded. Service was great and very attentive despite the crowd.
Uber Eats again. I haven’t been back to the Bay Area for a year. This restaurant is Always the best in Milpitas. I like many tiny side dishes. All side dishes tastes good! My mom loves seafood pancakes. I miss Korean macaroni salad.
Hansang Tofu – The Hidden Gem of Milpitas 💎🇰🇷 This place is almost hidden in plain sight, tucked right behind the McDonald’s everyone in Milpitas knows. It’s one of those true “if you know, you know” spots that locals swear by. My girlfriend and I have been coming here for a while now, and the reason we keep coming back is simple: quality. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with care. What We Ordered 🍽️ Special Combo #35 – Galbi & Seafood Tofu Soup (Medium Spicy) The portions are on the smaller side, but honestly, they’re perfect for two people, just enough to leave you satisfied without feeling stuffed. The Galbi is beautifully marinated and grilled to perfection with that irresistible sweet and savory balance and a hint of char. The Seafood Tofu Soup is our favorite, clean, rich, and full of depth. It’s easily one of the best versions around. Pairing these two together is a flavor explosion, comforting, savory, and perfectly balanced. Add in a scoop of rice and some kimchi, and it’s game over. 🔥 Mandu 🥟 Freshly fried to golden crispiness with a juicy pork filling inside. The vinegar-based dipping sauce cuts through the richness perfectly, it’s tangy, addictive, and keeps you reaching for more. The Banchan (Side Dishes) 🥢 Hansang nails their banchan every single time. From the kimchi to the seasoned sprouts, everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. You know a Korean restaurant is good when even the side dishes shine. If you’re looking for an authentic Korean spot that hasn’t blown up yet, this is it. Come now (or better yet, yesterday) before everyone else finds out. Huge thanks to the Hansang staff for always taking care of us and keeping the quality top-notch. 🙌🇰🇷
Hanshang Tofu is a great spot for authentic Korean comfort food. The soup here is amazing — rich, flavorful, and really comforting, with fresh silky tofu that soaks up the broth perfectly. The banchan are tasty, the service is friendly, and the whole place has a cozy, traditional vibe. A must-visit if you’re craving real Korean flavors
It was our first time visiting Hansang Tofu restaurant. We ordered the Grilled Sea-Salted Mackerel and the Combination Tofu Soup. The mackerel was cooked perfectly. It’s crispy on the top and moist and soft on the bottom. The tofu was delicious. Service was attentive. The waitress asked if we’d like refills on the banchan, before we had a chance to ask for refills. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Hansang Tofu and we will definitely return again.
Had a great dinner recently. Everything was good. Standouts for me were the seafood pancake and the fried chicken. The prices are reasonable at around $30 total per person. It was busy but not too loud, pretty easy to hold a conversation.
Very tasty Korean tofu soup. Good service. Good pork barbecue. And most side dishes like kimchi is a solid 9/10. Will be back. 2024-DEC.
Stopped by for dinner on a Sunday evening. It feels like a very homey place, and the servers are quick and friendly. The banchan variety here is great! I loved the eggplant, fish cake, potatoes, and kelp. The kimchi is more fresh and less fermented. They rotate their banchan based on availability but based on the offerings being good I have no doubt all the options are of the same quality. The soondubu with seafood is very shrimp heavy. I personally am a fan but it may be too much for people who aren't into strong flavors as much. The kalbitang had 3 large rib pieces and egg ribbons throughout. It tasted a lot more heavy on sesame oil than I'm used to -- I think I would stick to the soondubu if I'm looking for soup but it was still good, just up to personal preference. The pork bulgogi was good but pretty oily, which I feel has been typical of most bulgogi in general. Overall I would come again for their soondubu and sides alone, but I'd be interested to try their other options.
Came here last weekend and have to say I'm really happy with the quality of food! Their service wasn't bad and could use some work but the ladies here are all very sweet and give you instructions on how to eat if you don't look Korean, which always find funny. It's a medium sized place with some bench seating and very chill/relaxed vibe. Usually galbi tends to be on the sweet side and since I'm more low sugar the last few years, things tend to be even more sweet but their galbi was just a little sweet, which was great. It really allows you to taste the quality of the meat and get more of the smoky taste. The banchan (side dishes) were also excellent and tend to judge Korean restaurants on the quality of variety of their banchan and they definitely had some great options. In all, they provide 8, with the sweet potatoes, spicy eggplant, and spicy bean sprouts being some of my favorites. Also got the army stew, which they call hotpot here and man is it huge. They said it's good for 2-3 people but feel like it's got to be 3 really hungry people with this being the only thing you order! I definitely want to come back and try their chicken wings as many other tables ordered them and it looked good.
our food was so great! we ordered so many dishes and every single one of them was perfect. this was one of the best korean places i’ve gone to. i highly recommend going here.
The food is good and the service is top-tier. The ladies serving us were very nice and friendly. We got the soft Tofu with bulgolgi pork and it was heavenly. Plenty of side dishes that were all tasting super good. The atmosphere and vibes from the place is very chill and warm like home. The foods came out pretty fast with appropriate service size. I would always come back again to this place for traditional Korean food. Definitely one of my favorite.

You pretty much can’t go wrong with this place. I’ve ordered their catering before and it was an absolute hit. The staff is also super nice and helpful, and even gave recommendations on what food would be better for large parties. I’ve also came here before on my own for lunch, and ordered their tofu soup and seafood pancake. Their pancake was light, airy, and crispy, not oily at all. Their tofu soup was on the salty side, but otherwise it was amazing. Would highly recommend and come back again ☺️
Love this place! The service was a little slow, but the waitresses were very kind. The place is rather small, so when it gets busy, there might be a wait time. I recently went here for lunch on a Saturday, which was also Valentine's Day, but I got lucky with getting a table to fit my family (6 people) without waiting. For reference, we got galbi, bulgogi, tofu soup, japchae, and seafood pancake. Pretty filling and satisfying. If I have to recommend must-have dishes, it's the seafood pancake and galbi.
My favorite korean restaurant! Best lunch specials. All of their banchan are amazing (most places I only like a few things). I genuinely love this place I always go out of my way to drive here from San Jose because it’s so much better than all of the places there.

Super delicious food. They have one of the best chapjae I have tried (the mushroom is so fragrant and flavourful). The fried chicken is also good but some parts will dry out if left unattended for some times. I also highly recommend their galbi as they are tender and not so sweet. Service can be pretty slow during peak hours and the ventilation of the restaurant needs to improve (hence the 4 stars)
Taste pretty good, on the saltier side of Korean cuisine. Food portion is quite reasonable for the price. Cozy small restaurant with lots of Korean people eating there.
We had 2 bibimbap; vegetarian and pork. Both were good. Service and ambience were excellent.
Party of 4, walk-in for lunch 12:30a on a weekday. Plenty of tables available, but plenty of small groups coming in and finishing up. Group ordered tofu soup - beef, seafood, and combo (photo), and bibimbap (photo). Spiciness level for each dish was specified. Food came out fairly quickly and we were quite hungry so everything was consumed quickly. Plenty of banchan available, seems quite fresh with different crunchiness levels and flavors. I enjoyed the crunchy sweet and vinegary pickles along with the glass noodles. Service was fine, pleasant. We did receive 1 refill of banchan, but not the water jug. Temperature inside was not overly warm when eating piping hot food. Plenty of free parking in the shopping center plaza lot. Pricing seemed a little higher than I expected, but it was a good experience for our guests.
Went there with my friends, it was pretty good at serving especially the chicken glutinous rice soup was pretty tasty. The only reason that I leave one star blank is because they are very popular so that the waitresses are asking us to leave before our chat ends and we have to go to milk tea place to finish our conversation.
A pretty solid Korean restaurant in this area with reasonable prices! I really like the galbi short ribs they have and even though that it was a half portion it was still filling! I especially like the side dishes such as the noodles, kimchi, broccoli and more! Service is pretty straightforward and waters are frequently swapped out featuring soju and korean beer advertising on the bottles.
Food was excellent. There are so many stuff I can try. Will need to come back. Wait is bad. No reservation allowed. Seafood pancake - lots of ingredients. Crispy and crunchy. Galbi - very flavorful. Well marinated. We ordered the combo. Better deal but smaller portion. However, we want to try more stuff so worked out. Tofu was rich in ingredients too. We ordered seafood tofu, lots of clam meats and very tender shrimps, I can are the shells with it. Ramen - it's spicy. The beef we ordered as protein of choice is well marinated. Very tasty. Love the small dishes. Many of my favorites. Service - one of the lady didn't wear glasses was interesting. She was very friendly with every other table but somehow, very rude to me. She offered to replace small dishes with other tables and one next to ours. And when I asked, she hushed me and said with a stern look, "later". And didn't come tend to us until 10 minutes later. Having said that, she and the other waitress with glasses had to take care the entire restaurant and they were limes outside the restaurant. Tough job.
Hands down the best Korean restaurant in the South Bay! This is my go-to whenever I’m craving Korean food — and it never disappoints. The service is consistently awesome: attentive, friendly, and fast. Food arrives quickly, and they’re incredibly generous with complimentary side dishes. Favorites include the tofu soup and grilled mackerel, both packed with flavor and comfort. We’ve also tried other dishes like galbi, Korean fried chicken, and seafood pancakes — all delicious and well-prepared. The place gets busy fast, especially on weekends. If you want to avoid a wait, I recommend arriving before noon. Trust me, it’s worth planning ahead! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic Korean cuisine with great service and a cozy atmosphere.

It's a regular Korean restaurant. Food is ok. But there's an automatic 20 percent gratuity for parties of 5. Given that the service was not friendly (they looked really grumpy and unhappy especially when we asked for a refill of the banchan), I really felt it wasn't fair to charge us 20 percent for the lack of service.
We really like the seafood pancake and the speedy service. The staff is attentive and periodically checks on their patrons to see if they need anything. For lunch, we had the (#4) Seafood Pancake, (#39) Dwae Ji Bulgogi + Seafood Tofu Soup, and (#8) Half Fried Chicken (8 pieces). We like the Seafood Pancake here because the pack it with a lot of protein. The fried chicken tho, we didn't like too much. The batter on the chicken was too crumbly. On top of that, it was slightly burned, so the meat was dry. Bigspoon Korean Restaurant in San Jose has better fried chicken. The seafood tofu soup was too salty and difficult to eat. However, It did have a lot of seafood protein. As for the Dwae Ji (pork) Bulgogi hot plate dish, it was way too oily on the bottom.
The bibimbap is delicious. It is at a perfect temperature to get the crispy burnt rice pieces. The other good thing here is the banchan; there's a good variety. However, we had to ask each time for the refills. They don't take initiative to keep it going. There are other places that don't offer a lot of service either but are efficient with replacing the banchan, which is more reminiscent of the places in Korea. They took forever in getting us the check too. As for the other dishes, we felt the portion for the tofu soup was a bit small. The seafood pancake was crispy but didn't have much flavor or ingredients.

We ordered 2 tofu soups and spicy pork. The soups were too watery with little seafood or meat inside. The service was not good. The waitress brought us the check while we were still eating without saying a word. When she came back with change, again without saying thank you or asking if we need a box for leftover. The is not.a place for you to enjoy food and have a chat with your friends. We feel more like a fast food restaurant. The review for this place is definitely overrated
The food was great as always, but the service unfortunately impacted our experience. When I asked for a refill, the server responded with, “Aren’t you guys already finished?” in a judging tone, which felt rushed and awkward. We also didn’t receive all the refills we requested. I’ve never experienced this kind of response at other Korean restaurants, so it was surprising and disappointing. It left us feeling a bit uncomfortable. I‘m not sure we will return because of this experience.
