Came here for dinner. Ordered beef tendon stew, chow fun beef in gravy, yang chow fried rice and 4 bbq combo. Food is ok. Disappointed that the rice and noodle dishes did not have wok hei. Nice that they had sweet green bean dessert
I wonder why this place only gets 3.8 stars? Service was quick and efficient, prices were reasonable, food was well seasoned and flavorful! We weren’t here on a Tuesday night and seated right away. Waiter brings us tea and menu right away ! The daily specials were a great deal to order. A whole yellow chicken for $18.99! And It was very tasty. The dry fried flat beef noodles is another good dish to order! We will love to come back again to try other dishes on the menu!
Just happened to pass by today, went in and saw their Chinese BBQ looked awesome. So I ordered a 3 BBQ items combo for $19.99. It was very good. I picked roast duck, steam chicken and crispy roast pork. 1 item combo is $15.99 and 2 items is $17.99. It is very reasonable for the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The interior is very clean, modern and comfortable. They use loose tea leaves for the complimentary tea, not teabags. That's a plus. 👍🏽 And I think it was Jasmin and the quality is good in my opinion. I definitely will go again.
Ocean Pearl Restaurant is a must-visit for authentic Chinese BBQ, serving freshly roasted cuts of assorted meats that are packed with flavor. Whether you’re craving crispy roast duck, tender char siu, or succulent pork belly, every bite is perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. One standout dish is their stir-fried broccoli—amazingly flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning and wok-fired perfection. Everything here tastes authentic and true to traditional Chinese flavors, making it a great spot for a satisfying meal. While there’s often a long line, it’s well worth the wait. Some of the BBQ items take a bit longer to arrive at the table, but the quality and taste make up for it. If you’re a fan of Chinese BBQ, this place is definitely worth checking out!
I dined at this restaurant for the first time, and I was impressed. The food was delicious, and the service was quick, even though it was a busy day. Our orders arrived promptly. The food was well-plated, and the restaurant was clean—at least our table was!
Expect to wait to be seated. Fair prices with large menu. Really good dinner menu. Lots of wok hei in stir fries and noodles, best fried rice I've had in a long time. Good quality meats and seafood at very fair prices. Recommend their drier vegetable stir fries, duck, and clam soup to my taste. Others as well like beef stir fries and fish maw soup. Because they are so busy you might have to tell multiple servers to recieve water, etc but nothing crazy. Solid spot busy for a reason. Lunch: They have a rice and main meal combo that is cheap. Varied menu and you cannot really go wrong with anything you order. Rice rolls were some of the best I've had, silky dough and tasty soy sauce. This place is where cafe Wong kee used to be and the remodel was very needed.
Wanted to treat my buddy out to some pecking duck and bao so I searched up what was near by and found this place. It’s pretty decent inside, nice and clean unlike a lot of other dingy old Chinese restaurants. The decor looked modern and I really like the setup. Once you walk in you can order but the dinner area is separate from where they chop up the food and where you see the hanging ducks. The service was quick and she spoke perfect English so she was able to guide me better. I went with the Peking duck which was really good, that crispiness always gets me. The fried rice was good too, you can taste the flavors and fresh ingredients. The roasted pork belly however was a little on the salty side and a little dry but when eaten with rice it’s good. I will have to come back next time to try the other foods they have.

Ocean Pearl offers classic dishes and a great variety. I’ve been here for a few birthday dinners and enjoyed the extensive options, especially their fried rice and soups. Food: The flavors are hit or miss. Some dishes, like the “Salt and Pepper Squid,” are seasoned perfectly, but others lack flavor. For example, the “Crab Meat and Fish Maw Soup” didn't taste salted. Fortunately, there are salt and pepper shakers on the side. Service: The service is decent, though not very attentive. The staff comes by to refill tea but rarely checks in to see if everything is okay. Atmosphere: The ambiance is warm and lively, with bright lighting in the evenings and decorations that gives it a modern Chinese diner vibe. It’s busy enough to feel energetic without being too noisy (around 7:00 PM on a weekend). The seating options range from booths and family-style round tables to smaller, more private tables. Overall, it’s a nice spot to visit casually with family. The atmosphere is welcoming, but I’d be picky with the dishes since the quality can vary.
Less than $20 for a Hainan chicken lunch order is reasonable but the rice was not warm enough.
We came here for dinner and had a good experience. We ordered the salt and pepper pork chops, salted fish and chicken fried rice, garlic green beans, and beef stew hot pot. We thought the beef in the beef stew hot pot was a little tough, but everything else was pretty good. Overall, the service was good and we had a nice experience.
The ambience is wonderful. Bright and clean. Tasteful decor and very comfy arm chairs. However the music choice is a little odd. A repetitive zen music that you only hear at massage spas. I think they need to change it up to something a little more upbeat. The service is impeccable. The staff were able to answer my questions and offer suggestions. The menu is a little limited but what they do they do it well. It is a standard HK diner fare. The portions are large and prices very reasonable. For my first visit, I had the sampan porridge (4 stars - tasty) and the beef cheongfun (4 stars). Better value than Yinji Changfen. The cheongfun roll was a thinner and softer. For the second visit, I had the century egg porridge (3 stars - a little bland) and sweet and sour pork chops (4 stars - very tasty but a little too much bone). Overall a wonderful place for a quick lunch. I will be back for the rice plates.
Delicious Canto food especially the beef chow fun and seafood pan fried noodles. It's an upgrade from the old Won Kee restaurant.
Very standard Cantonese food. Hit all the marks. Definitely decent portions for the price (let's see if they can keep that up) For three of us after tax and tip, came out to be $30+/ person.

Food 4.5 stars-bbq park, roast pork, duck, soy sauce chicken Seating/ atmosphere 4 stars - seating is comfortable and clean but atmosphere is loud. Service 3 stars-quick and friendly but often waiter keeps forgetting about our requests; has to remind several times. Value 4 stars-food generous portioned. Everything is tasty. Price is quite reasonable.
I like the ambiance of this restaurant. The color scheme, furniture, and dishware are really pretty. It's a pleasant place to dine. Unfortunately, the food and prices make it not worth it to me. The flavors feel off, like lacking seasoning or not the right balance of flavors. The beijing It's hard to justify paying such high prices for dishes that don't hit the mark. It's a shame because the menu looked really good and I like the variety of dishes this place serves.

Popular restaurant with diligent service. Deep fried oysters, vegetable soup and fried noodles 滑蛋牛肉炒河 and frog leg pot薑蔥田雞煲 all tasty. After a visit , we came back to try the BBQ meat and the deep fried calamari , they are tasty but a bit salty, also BBQ duck is fatty and roasted pork is a bit dry. The portion is good but overall we are a bit disappointed with the BBQ meat. The restaurant remains popular. The experience of the first visit is better for us than the second one and we need to lower the rating. There are enough dishes that we may come back to try something new.
New opening restaurant @ Milpitas. Feel like this new restaurant is mix of Cantonese and other Chinese food like Sichuan cuisine because they has the boiled fish with pickles on menu . Because I was very confused, I didn’t accept the dishes well. Will go back to try the second time if possible.

Excellent food but terrible, rude service. No one checked on our table once food arrived. After we ate, one waitress threw a take out container on the table, and another waitress threw my credit card on the table but it dropped to the floor and she picked it up and threw it again on the table without a word. Previous reviews noted wait staff upset about the tips. Try smiling and saying Thank You, which will help earn a good tip. Management needs to train the staff on basic polite and friendly service.
Trash Cantonese food. The prices are cheap, but the quality is way lower than other Cantonese restaurants. My first visit was a few weeks after opening, so the disorganization meant I received my roast meat order 40 mins after ordering. Quality was 6/10 then. I gave them 2 more chances, but quality has deteriorated from then. The crispy skin pork belly is oversalted and dry. White chicken is flavorless. The duck served in the combo is just the rib cage with very little meat.
Great foods and reasonable price but the service is terrible! Omg! I hate to give two stars overall! Updated: came back today again to give them the second chance but I’m sure after today I will never come back here ever again. The services are in a serious condition. One of the lady worker chase and harass me for tip? Seriously?? Must be a joke! I hope the owner read this and train their workers better. Better services will get better tip period!
I came here with my family, ordered the crab roe fried rice, French styled beef cube, 4 combination meat. The waitress at the end of the meal ended up demanding more tip in front of everyone even with overall poor service and lack luster dishes. We would not come back ever. 4 combination meat Everything was so salty. The only one that wasn't too overbearing was the cold chicken. Even with the sauce it was still salty and only able to barely mask the pork and duck. French Style beef cube Meat was tender, but the problem was it lost a lot of the flavor you'd expect from beef due to over velveting. The only thing carrying it was the pepper sauce. Crab roe fried rice This was just oiled soaked rice, not properly fried. Most of my family couldn't event finish one half bowl because of how mushy the rice felt. Even the additional wild rice added to it made no difference and the lack of crab essence just made it out to be oily rice.
