Mineola is fortunate to have 2 of the best pizzeria anywhere! Mama T's and Cugini's! They're like dueling pizza places. Their competition makes them both amazing! But they are both different, so you have to try them both our for yourself! At Cugini's I recommend the linguini, with marinara and sausage, spaghetti with garlic and oil, and grandma slices!

Outstanding food, hasn't changed in 20 years always went to D'Angelos but the food went down hill and the attitude of the guy with the red hair pissed my family and I off so bad that we will never go back, this is a farther drive but well worth it

A real solid slice. Good new York style dough and crust, nice lil crispity crunch on the outside nice bready chew on the inside. Vodka slice and roll are both 🔥🔥. Grandma style pretty lit too. Honestly no misses here, cugini's slaps

Cugini Pizza never disappointed me in over 15 years I have been going there. The new owners are so nice. I picked up an order today and I wanted to buy the focaccia pie but they didn't have it ready to go and I was on a rush so they gave me the last 2 slices left at no charge! They treat you like family and go beyond expectations. Super friendly stuff and great food!

Stopped by after work earlier this week on a whim and had to come by again today. First time I came in I got their chicken roll and two cheese slices. The food was fresh even at 8PM. The chicken roll was the best I’ve had out of the local pizzerias in Mineola. Today when I stopped by I was in and out the door in under a minute as the Sicilian slices had just come out the oven for takeout. The counter guys are also friendly and care about what they do. I will definitely stop by again.

I have been ordering delivery from here lately and each time the food is so fresh and great. Delivery person is always polite. One time they didn't have a cake I had ordered and they promptly called to inform me and add a credit for next time. Excellent service, I plan to stop by in person once the pandemic is over!

Wonderful pizzeria and restaurant! The BEST local pizza with a nice variety of special slices! Also, in the back is a wonderful restaurant area with waiter service! Pablo is the waiter and he does a tremendous job! The prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent! Cugini reopened under new management and they are doing a fantastic job…The food is even better than before with polite and highly attentive counter staff and a great waiter in the restaurant. Unequivocally highly recommended! Before Cugini reopened, I would travel to Umbertos for pizza…but, Cugini’s wonderful pizza and food dishes are equal to or surpass Umbertos. Cugini is the BEST local pizzeria/restaurant. Again, highly recommend!

Lovely, small restaurant with cloth tablecloths and napkins. Delicious, fresh and plentiful portions. We were two people and ordered an entree for two. We could easily have shared it with another couple and no one would have left hungry. Prices quite reasonable, too.

Just reminded how great Cugini’s grandma pizza is. Thin crust, lots of flavor, perfect distribution of sauce and cheese. The regular is great too but the grandma is 👌

If I had to choose a standout item from their menu, it’s without a doubt the marinara slice—pure perfection in every bite. The crust strikes the perfect balance between crunchy and light, while the sauce is rich, garlicky, and never overly acidic. I can easily polish off three slices whenever I visit this outstanding pizzeria. If you’re craving that classic, old-school pizza flavor, Cugini’s is the place to go. I believe there’s also a location in Bayside, Queens.

Real nice family style more restaurant than pizzeria (floor space sq ft). The big surprise is the food! OMG! I haven't had Italian like this, what i mean is a really nice neighborhood restaurant that serves superb creatio ns at the most reasonable prices. I did say family style! A great value. The bread, HFS! Out of.this world. The veal parmigan, marinara penned, the ala vodka sauce. I need to go back and try the entire menu. Can't wait.

Just visited Cugini and had a conversation with owner and associates to share my feelings about pizza with sausage. Everyone was apologetic and willing to compensate in a future purchase. Very courteous and listened to my concerns. Therefore I have changed previous review and hasty response without contacting ownership. I can learn too. Joyce's husband!!!

Wow, where can I start. I was on my lunch my friend and I decided we would like to go sat down to eat on a restaurant . I heard about Cugini I want to go check it out. As soon as we get there, the greeting as soon as you open the door by the owner make you feel right at home. the server was fantastic the food was exquisite . since then I made CUGINI my favorite place to eat. My second experience is for my birthday I order penne ala vodka and 2 other trays wow wow the food was delivery at the time we set up for delivery and was very hot I didn't have to warm up anything. One of my most experienced is this year Thanksgiving. I didn't feel like cooking all the meals for my family. I ordered penne ala vodka, chicken Frances, eggplan parmesan and pepper sausage. all my family and friends was very happy with different things on the menu this time. before I look all the food was done. I received a lot of compliments for the food but I couldn't take the compliments to myself I have to told them Cugini make it happen for me this year. Cugini didn't let me down my Thanksgiving diner was extremely delicious thanks to Cugini... If you never ordered or eat at Cugini I advise you to try them you will not disappointed.

Have had dinner here several times. The service is wonderful…Paolo is a gracious waiter who always makes sure you have what you need to have an enjoyable and relaxing evening with wonderfully prepared food. As soon as you are seated you receive a delicious warm bread basket. I had a Caesar Salad and Chicken Marsala. Rigatoni pasta with marinara sauce as well. The portion was so large I came home with leftovers. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned with an abundance of fresh mushrooms. Loved it and love this restaurant. BTW…their pizza is terrific too. Very thin crust with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Great guys too on the pizza side!

🔔Update Sept 2023: Cuginis is open again with signs saying under new management. Had the same thing I’ve had here for the past 15 years and it’s just as good as it was before the place changed hands. Long live Cuginis 🍕 Been going to this place for over half my life, starting from when I went to high school across the street. The quality over the years has stayed the same, and they make a great deep-dish style buffalo slice. I challenge you to find a better buffalo slice on Long Island, as I have yet to do so. Other slices are great too, with plenty of variety if you don’t feel like getting the same buffalo slice for 15+ years like I do. The guys who work the counter are super cool too! Tip: try the buffalo slice, rice ball, meat pinwheel. The chicken bacon ranch slices are tasty as well!

I recently had to change pizza places from Gino's of Carl place to Cugini, Cugini being the closest pizza joint. Gino's was apparently too far away for them to deliver to my house. So far, I've enjoyed there food and I sometimes go into the restaurant for lunch or dinner ordering something other than pizza. But today, I ordered a large pizza pie for my family and I have to say it was the best pie I've had in a long time, additionally, the pie came within half an hour of ordering so they worked really fast to get my order out. I appreciate the hard work and the speed in which they work. Everything is excellent and the staff are pleasant to be around if you decide to go into the pizzeria!

Food portions were large and they were able to accommodate our group of 24. Great service.

Good lunch special in dining room. I had a very nice Caesar salad, chicken Parmesan and a slice of Italian cheesecake for $15.

Went to Cugini's in mineola.. It's a combo place pizzeria up front and restaurant in the back.. I've always had there regular pizza ...alway fresh, a great slice... Anyway we sat in the restaurant It has a nice decor, plants by the windows, very clean and roomy.. Our waiter who's been there forever ,suggested the insalata de mare,, for an app. which was made fresh at the moment and it was AMAZING!!! shrimp mussels calamari clams and scungilli.. Then dinner.. chicken marsala with extra mushrooms... It was excellent, chicken was not paper thin, nice and juicy and with large mushroom slices I was happy to say the least.. Service was perfect... So if your in the area for a quick slice or a relaxed yummy dinner This place is tough to beat

Cugini grandma pie is the best...eat in or take out...separate restaurant attached to the pizza parlor side. Dining in restaurant is good and very moderately priced. Special treat ...ask for.. at added cost ..homemade mozzerella on your pizza..especially the grandma pie!

Easy to see right off of Jericho Turnpike servicing Mineola and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Grandma Pizza is the star. Menu food is great too. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. We will most likely be going back.

I was out with my grands and looking for a place to have lunch. Cugini is a moderate size Pizzeria with a restaurant dining room attached. I had the Pasta E Pagioli soup as a starter. I told the server that it was years since I had this soup with such great flavor. The portions were generous. I will will have to return to try their pizza.

In the first time this guy in front counter helped he was not paying attention to the cashier that she was leaving work i guess, he put my food to go and i always had eaten my food in the restaurant, and he tried make it sea that it was my fall, and then he asked i i did payed, today i coming in friendly tone i asked in Spanish: regale dos pizza and he gave me that look and said, im going to sale no free here. I received a 20% discount and felt compelled to use it. 2x pies (plain/pepperoni) thick, fake, frozen style mozzarella sticks, small wings, all still around $75. I also had to write down this code for them which also just wasn't good service. I understand inflation, but this is just a rip-off.

There has been a sign on the restaurant for over a month saying that renovations are going to occur the restaurant has been closed for a long time I’m not sure why it’s marked as open they definitely need a renovation it’s not clean in there

Ordered take out a chicken dish was supposed to have mozzarella they forgot it. Calamari under cooked had to throw it out.

Service was terrible waiter disappeared for most of the meal couldn’t even get a refill of water. Food wasn’t anything special. Not worth the time for the bad service and ehhh food. Plenty of other Italian restaurant to choose from...don’t choose this one

I would stay away from this place if you like New York style pizza. The pizza crust was more deep dish style and was hard like it was cooked on a cracker. Two bites in a realized I’ve eaten frozen pizza that’s taste better than this. It was so bad I couldn’t finish it..

Food isn't the same anymore. The main issue is maybe instead of wrapping a parm hero in foil you just put it in a sandwich container. Unravel and the cheese is stuck to the wrapping. Oh joy what a waste of money.

Seafood platter for one we always order, the tray is full to top,we order two weeks the same platter,tray is half full.mussels were not open ,,not fresh at all.very disappointed since price went up,I think it’s now 54.00 dollars.we should of called or brought it back but we traveled 30 minutes to get it

Don't order from the phone. The people who pick up are very rude and they hung up on me for asking questions. Also very hard to hear them from teh phone and my phone is in good shape.

The pizza was cold and taste like it was made a day ago and they reheated it. The buffalo wings came straight out of the freezer and thawed out in the microwave, then not fried before pouring on the sauce. I took one bite and it was nasty, maybe undercooked. Never again.The remaining went in the garbage.

I ordered a chicken parm, they forget my order. When I finally get it, the dish is rushed, chicken is tough, and they put so little cheese that you have to look really hard to actually notice that there is cheese. I've been going here for over 15 years, safe to say I will no longer be going back.

This is the third time I’ve ordered from this location. The first time they didn’t deliver all of the slices, but they did send them out after I called. Tonight again I was missing a slice. When I called, I was first met with Stephanie telling me that I was in fact given my slices, and refused to believe I was missing anything. When I asked for a manager, she gave me Frank, who supposedly gave me the slices. He told me that he actually gave me 2 larger slices instead of giving me 3. When I told him that the slices were for different people, and was now impossible to split them, he told me “it is what it is, I gave you what you ordered, just as larger slices”. He then argued with me for about 5 minutes, at which point he said he would then send me a “free slice” instead of “the slice that was missing”. I declined the slice, and will never order from this location again; which is bad for their business because I order too much pizza on a regular basis.

Terrible. Too pricey for the quality. Used to be great but has been going downhill rapidly. Finally hit bottom. As of 1/22/18 done with Cugini permanently. Spaghettini on Mineola Blvd. is much better and the food is hot when delivered. Don't mind paying for quality when I get quality. No quality from Cugini anymore.

I had one of the worst pizzas I have ever consumed in my life from this place. I wouldn’t recommend it if I was starving to death. The pizza I got was somehow burnt and cold at the same time. Don’t ever recommend this place ever.

Food was decent at best. They left food out of our delivery order and refused to come back at 10:10 because "all the drivers went home." Don't waste your money.

I paid for a full order and delivery. They messed up and left part of the order at the restaurant. When I called them requesting they deliver it to me they said they were too busy and hung up. I started calling them back and they just kept hanging up on me. THIEVES

This was actually the worst Italian food I've ever had. The vodka chicken roll was gross. The cheese was questionable, and sauce had no flavor. The only texture was wet dough. Never again.

I don't know about this place, every time I seem to go, the kitchen is closed. They're only doing pizza or it's closed completely. 7:47 tonight I walk down with a friend to get food and the place is closed up completely. Yet it's open in the early afternoon not sure but they might as well just lock the door is completely and quite a business because every time I pass by you wanna come here it's closed.

We stopped by this pizzeria for a casual family meal, as it used to be one of my husband’s favorite pizza places. My husband and daughter ordered pizza, while I decided to try something different and ordered the chicken marsala with penne alla vodka. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. On my very first bite of the chicken, I immediately spit it out after discovering three small pieces of metal that appeared to resemble fragments from a Brillo sponge or cleaning material. Needless to say, I stopped eating right away. I informed the staff about what happened, and they offered to replace my dish, but after an experience like that, it was impossible to continue eating. What made the situation even more upsetting was the lack of an apology or genuine concern from the waiter. Because of this experience and the lack of accountability, we won’t be returning. It’s unfortunate, especially since we try to support small businesses, but this incident left us questioning whether we would have been better off dining elsewhere.
