Had a wonderful brunch on Sunday to celebrate our 20th anniversary with 18 friends and family at our side. They accommodated all of us, even special orders for picky kid eaters. Staff was great and super attentive. We've had quite a few large celebrations here and they never disappoint!

We had a lovely server named Athena! The food & service were delightful!! I hope I remembered our servers name. We were there Wed Oct 9th at 2pm in the main dining room!

My Wife and I went here on 4/28/23 and on 4/30/23 during Resturant week. Their menu has a lot of choices which most places do not have. The food was Excellent and service was even better. We had the cowboy pork chop with apple glaze and pork schnitzel which tasted great. On 4/30 we had as a appetizer the butternut squash risotto. For Entrees we had NY Strip Steak and Chicken Milanese which was great especially the chicken. The servers Nicole and Victoria provided OUTSTANDING Service and make you feel right at home with friendly personalizes. I would highly recommend Jonathan's. Mike and Ana

My wife and I dined here on April 6th and met an amazing waitress, Ms. Nikki, who throughout our meal remained committed to providing outstanding service. Ms. Nikki was able to anticipate our needs, make menu suggestions all the while keeping a smile. Ms. Nikki is certainly a welcomed addition to the restaurant. We went to dinner on Easter Sunday. The food as usual was excellent and the atmosphere was filled with families enjoying their meals. However, I can not say that our waitress was attentive. I know that it was so busy that day, but to feel ignored/invisible by her was unacceptable. She never took the time to ask if myself & my nephews wanted anything to drink. We had arrived at the table a little later than my sister & mother, who were receiving their drinks at that time. Both myself and my nephew had to go to the bar for drinks. Even when she came back to the table to ask about appetizers she did not ask my younger nephew if he wanted anything to drink. This type of service is not what is expected of when dining in this restaurant. We have always had fantastic meals & excellent service previously. In addition I always refer Johnathan's to my friends for both the excellent food & service. I am hoping this is a one time issue/event. This will not affect us from dining at your restaurant which is definitely 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Popular American-style restaurant with a broad menu and several party rooms. We celebrated a family event with 21 guests. Meals were very good and the service was exceptionally attentive!

This was an amazing celebration of a wonderful church friend. Food was "bon-appetite." Over 80 people attended in a private room, and all persons were raving about their meals. I had salmon/roasted potatoes/string beans. That was the best mouth-watering salmon I have ever tasted. The cake was delicious and not overly sweetened, especially the icing. Customer service was great. The restaurant attendants stayed around at the tables to continually serve all guests. I've got to go back, I highly recommend Jonathan's Restaurant to those looking for a great atmosphere, great customer service, and great food.

Great experience with both dining and recent private party. The staff was very friendly, responsive and easy to work with during the planning process (Sia and Charlene were wonderful). The day of the event was perfect, with the staff accommodating last minute changes before the event started, quick to help set up and great service and food throughout. The private room is also beautiful. We received compliments from our guests on the room and food; and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to host an event!

We just got home from my son’s Christening and I needed to write a review immediately. We hosted our son’s Christening at Jonathan’s and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. We have to start with the staff…It was a pleasure to work with the managers, Frank and Peter, while planning the event. We have to shout out the staff who answered the phones every time I called with silly questions or requests leading up to the event. The servers, Miguel and Billy, assigned to our party were outstanding! They kept the drinks coming and managed the food perfectly throughout the event. Elvin, the bartender, was also amazing and friendly! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine hospitality and professionalism. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, ensuring every detail was taken care of flawlessly. There was another event across from us at the same time, but it did not interfere with our event at all. They seamlessly handled our guests, offering impeccable service throughout the event. Now for the ambiance…The restaurant’s charming ambiance provided the perfect environment for our celebration, blending elegance with warmth effortlessly. About the food - it was simply outstanding! Every dish was expertly prepared, showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients. We chose the “Complete Menu” option and it was worth the money! Really good food but expensive. The dishes work out to about $45 per person. I had the steak and it was delicious. They also have a pretty decent drink menu. However, it feels more geared to wine drinkers versus mixed drinks.

Came down from CT for an after-funeral luncheon. We ended up arriving earlier than expected. The staff accommodated us immediately. Staff was awesome. Food was fantastic. And the atmosphere was excellent. A few of us stayed chatting after the meal & never did they push us to leave. Next time I'm in the area, I'd love to come for dinner.

This place is very nice for any type of occasion. I found it to be very warm and inviting and our waitress was very kind and patient. The food was excellent, I've never had Fettuccine Alfredo with vegetables mixed in and it was excellent. The food was a very decent size for the price. I would definitely recommend!

My mother hosted my bridal shower here on the 17th and everything was amazing! All the guests raved about the food and the cake, the staff was amazing, super attentive and helpful. The room was a great size, very bright and open with plenty of room for decorating.

I had Pre-Mother's Day dinner at Jonathan's Restaurant and it was excellent. The Short Ribs Empanadas was tender and the crust nice and flaky. The Bourbon Glazed Pork Chop was also tender and very tasty and the sauce delicious. The sweet potatoes, root vegetables and dessert samplers was delicious. I topped it off with the Pomegranate Martini and it was so good I have a second one. This is my second visit and will definitely return. I also took photos of the other meals which was very good as well. I also cannot forgot the service which was excellent, from the host to the server and clean up person. The room was very nice with a little music piping and we were able to listen yet able to carry on a conversation while we enjoyed our meal. Jonathan's deserve a Five Star 🌟

Very nice place. Prices are a little elevated but the food is good so I'm not sure what else to expect. We had an incredible mocktail that was just about the best drink I've ever had at a restaurant (mojito with green tea). The breads they give you are a nice touch. The brown butter scallops were good. I may not be a brown butter guy. Wish I got them broiled. Everything was overall excellent. Been here before. My parents love this place.

We had a beautiful time celebrating the life of a dear one. Shout out to Billy who was seamless in taking control and directing staff for accommodation for our table. Food was great and service very good. Went on a new year eve didn’t feel rushed. Nice bread basket includes homemade corn bread sticks. We had the pot roast special and halibut enjoyed both. And even shared a dessert tried the chocolate ganache cake. Overall enjoyed our food. And staff was attentive and helpful as well! Bathrooms were very spacious and super clean and I appreciate that! Always love a clean modern bathroom! On another note crowd happens to be an older generation even my 80 year old mom felt young lol

First time dining at this beautiful restaurant, and wow—what an experience! We came in for a team lunch meeting and were blown away from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly attentive, refilling our water glasses the moment they were empty and making sure we had everything we needed. We started with baked clams, braised short rib empanadas, and French onion soup—each one better than the last. Our main dishes (Steak Salad, Steak Burger, Penne alla Vodka with Chicken, and the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad) were all superb. Every plate was a hit! A fantastic experience all around. Can’t wait to come back!

Jonathan's is a NHP staple and for good reason. If you go on any weeknight, you are liable to notice that the crowd veers older and that the tables are rarely empty. Our elders know best where to find good value for money, and Jonathan's is a great example of this principle. Huge portions of gloriously indulgent food. Pasta and fish are the heart of the menu, like most LI restaurants. I would call this casual elegant, but don't feel pressured to dress up, most people don't. Good variety on the menu as well. The Lobster specials on Wednesdays and Fridays seem very popular. Great ambience, even if the decor is a little dated, it is well-kept and extremely clean. The servers are excellent and pay close attention to detail. My parents love this place because they have a dedicated allergen free kitchen for gluten intolerance. What a thoughtful and smart business decision. Perfect for a date night with your loved one, a place to take your mom to dinner or a birthday.

Cycled 15 miles here for a business lunch. The Maitre D was kind enough to valet my bike at the coat check. High ceilings & spacious seating. Lunch time was bustling with locals. I went with the 3 course lunch special for $29. Was looking for some light fare since I needed to cycle more afterwards. Eggplant is not generally a dish that receives rave reviews. It takes a master chef to deliver eggplant with exquisite flavor & texture. This was precisely the case today 🥇🥇 Good portion sizes. Caesar salad was fresh. Rice pudding was phenomenal 👍👍.

The girl that helped me with my reservation was great, from there everything was amazing. I tried doing a surprise birthday dinner for my fiance, and the dinner was for 4, but I asked her if she can have them present it as if it was for 2. We got seated, and got our drinks and bread basket. The little garlic buns are so good. Long and behold, a little while later our 2 friends join us and he was surprised. Our friends brought a cake, which they brought out to the table after dinner. Very very friendly staff!! Drinks were also good 👍🏻.

This place was overall pretty great. Came here for a wedding dinner, large group of around 20-30 people. They were very organized, food was delicious. The reason I did not give this restaurant five stars was unfortunate. One of the appetizers were these tiny fried spring rolls. We asked if there was any fish in there and they told us no. One of our friends is extremely allergic to salmon, and these fried spring rolls were filled with salmon. Our friend took one bite and was extremely sick for the reminder of the night. Very unfortunate, but aside from this everything else was pretty great.

I literally pass this place every day on my way to work, I don't know why I have never checked it out. But yesterday i was off running errands and there was a huge sign posted on their front door as one of Mineola's finest so I said to hubby google this restaurant and see what they serve. Hubby decided to get burger and fries and I got the Salmon with lemon roasted potatoes with spinach. My husband devoured his burger really quickly and was very satisfied. So...the salmon was cooked perfectly, crispy on top not overcooked but juicy, I just wished it was seasoned more bec I don't like adding salt to my food. The same with the potatoes I didn't taste any lemon good thing the meal came with lemon wedge. But again the food was not terribly just a little bland for my taste. Sorry but it was too early in the morning for me to order a drink so I can't give you any details on drinks. The wait staff was very PLEASANT and attentive. We will definitely be going back. Sorry we started eating so fast I didn't take pictures of the meal only the bread- which was hot n fresh and tasty.

The boss used to live this place growing up, having gone there with mom and aunt's and her family. Since making me and now the kids go, it's an underwhelming experience. The food was OK, nothing to point out as good, let alone exceptional. The place is beautiful, but that's not enough to go back. I don't think after the last experience we will.

Came here for a celebration dinner so can really only speak to the catering menu. First, I'm not sure which menu was chosen but looking at the options online even the cheapest option is quite pricey for what we got, so that was surprising. Started with a bread basket. This was nothing special. There was a strange yellow bread I wasn't familiar with that dominated the basket. The Caesar salad was fine, a little over-dressed and very underwhelming in the plating/appearance. Went with the salmon. This had a nice crisp to the outside and was seasoned nicely. Again, the plating of this left a lot to be desired with the three potatoes, 7 string beans, and 2 carrots. The service at first was pretty attentive to water/etc., but this quieted down as the meal went on. The wine list has a good variety and is actually pretty reasonably priced. Overall, it was a very midlevel fine meal. I probably wouldn't plan a celebration for myself there but would attend others there.

We have been here quite a few times in the last few years. Generally the service and food quality has been quite excellent. We’ve had our club events there and usually the service is quite good. Last night however, it wasn’t. It was Saturday night and the place was packed as usual. My fiancé and friend’s wife both ordered the goat cheese and beet salad, as they always enjoy it. When it arrived at the table, there was little of anything on the plate. Looked like 1 red beet cut into pieces vs a few whole red and gold beets. Had you put both plates together, there was less than what normally would come on a single plate. We mentioned it to our waiter and he apologized, but said it depends on who is preparing the salad in the kitchen. This was not acceptable for the price being charged. My entree was a special deboned branzino fish which in itself was delicious. The sides were sautéed spinach and 3 tiny roasted potatoes. Really? For the price charged, this was unacceptable as well. We always order our usual sampler dessert with 4 samples and we were told at 8:15 there was no creme brûlée. He didn’t offer any substitutes and until we asked if we could double up on 1 of them that we reached a resolution. Not a travesty but it didn’t sit well with the night. Lastly, our busboy was MIA after our 1st refill of water. Last night the waiter was quite busy with tables and received no assistance. Perhaps if you’re short on staff at least place a carafe of water on the table. Maybe it was an off night, but I needed to voice my concerns. We truly usually enjoy coming here.

The ambience is nice, however the food was just okay in my opinion. I had a Jumbo Shrimp dish that came with potatoes, and broccoli. The shrimp were a little over cooked for my liking... it was just a mediocre meal.

I went to Jonathan's today . . Maybe It was a busy day since it is Jan 1st but the food wasn't very flavorful or overcooked... I had the Avgloemono soup . . Very bland, creamy but nothing to it . . And it wasn't even hot Lamb chops . . Seemed pretty dry, not tender enough Swordfish . Once again, should cut like butter but ehh . . The beef short ribs empanadas had so much vegetable you didn't notice the short rib although they were flavorful. Unsure if this is a kitchen problem, too many orders. . .or a server problem not getting there things on time and being short staffed. I used to come here often, everything was amazing, had large group corporate monthly events here and maybe not on such a busy day/holiday... I expected more. Service was maybe a 65....78 .. . Maybe the team was just exhausted from the holidays? Bread was good .

I ate here over ten years ago and I wanted to return again because my memory was that it was good. I returned recently and the food was very bad. The fried appetizers tasted like they came from the frozen food section of the supermarket. The salad was very bad too. Just poor quality, the dressing, chicken and lettuce. The service was good. The main room feels like a cafeteria and is over crowded and very noisy.

Here for Sunday Brunch highly disappointed. They come out with a bread basket for dinner. On the menu it says mini bagels & muffins. I asked they said they ran out but ill grab some muffins for you. He comes back turns out they don’t have anymore and gives us two more pieces of corn bread! I hate corn bread. Are main dish is good but i came for brunch. To top it all off there is a fly. It pretty much just started when we got there. So usually when i go to brunch its a set price and you get your bagels and muffins a drink you main dish and a dessert. Here your lucky if you get your bagels and muffins, you only get fruit juice tea or coffee not even one free mimosa or bloody mary you have to buy one then get one. We made a reservation for my elderly mom’s birthday and included a special request online asking them to sing Happy Birthday and bring a dessert. We fully expected to pay for it, but it never happened — even after I asked for the cake, there was still no birthday celebration. We did see them do it for another table in the same seating area, which felt like a slap in the face. On top of that, the vegetable dish included eggplant, which wasn’t listed, and I’m allergic. The food was good, but the missed birthday and allergy issue made the experience fall far short of what we were hoping for.

This is an update, I've been to Jonathann's restaurant a handful of times. The food is delicious, and the staff are courteous. This time, something was floating in the mini milk jug (picture is included), I spotted it right before I poured it in my coffee. Neddless to say this was a bit unsettling. I made sure to flag someone down and they quickly brought a new un-chipped jug with milk. We quietly continued our celebration meal with my son, and when done, I payed for my dinner and did not say anything until we were at the front door. I let the manager know about the issue and showed him the picture, my hope was that by alerting him, it didn't happen to anyone else. He was very nonchalant about it, he said "it came from the bread", even though I ordered my cup of coffee after my antre and bread, he said "oh there is alot of bread in the kitchen too, thats where it came from then". Then he went on to say, "you should have told the servers they would have brought you a new one". I nodded in agreement and told him the staff did infact bring me a new one. However, the way he just brushed it off and made it an insignificant incident was so odd and disappointing to me. There was no apology, but a "I'm glad they brought you a new one" and so here I am, changing my rating and asking you to carefully inspect your food when at Jonathan's Restaurant. The food will be good, and the servers will be kind and professional, but you might get extra things in your drinks and the manager might just wave it off. [Jonathan's Restaurant was such a treat. The food was excellent, and the customer service was friendly and on point. Please try this restaurant with friends and family, I am certain it will not disappoint.]

The food was good but the servers were prejudice. Went with a friend who was African American like me and they brought us cornbread without us asking for it. When we looked at the other tables, we noticed they received normal white bread you’d typically receive at a restaurant. These customers who received normal bread were non-black. Will not be going here again.

5 meals each really bad! overcooked or parts had been frozen...even the basket of " breads" had been frozen. Meats from a box, way over cooked fries and bad bad tomato sauce! Rarely have I had such bad food in a place that looks nice! AVOID!

The food is 5 stars- the service is 5 stars- the cleanliness of the place- 2 Stars. This place is covered in dirt, slime and dust everywhere you look. It's very sad when I have to get throw away napkins from the bar to dip in a glass of vodka we got to clean our plates and utensils. Our waiter saw me wipe down everything at the table and offered to do it for us. You had all day before we showed up at 6 pm to prep the place for guests. The bathrooms are absolutely horrific. There are only two issue I have no tolerance for, laziness and filth and they both go hand in hand. With the amount of staff standing around the owners should have them clean the place from top to bottom- EVERYDAY NO EXCEPTIONS! WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING SINCE THIS IS MORE THAN THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE.
