Opinions de Taglio Pizza Mineola
If you’re looking for really good Roman-style pizza in Mineola, Taglio Pizza is one of those places that just gets it right. The first thing you notice is the crust — light, airy, crispy on the bottom, and sturdy enough to hold every topping without flopping. They use bromate-free flour, which makes the dough taste cleaner and better, and they bring in ingredients from Italy. It might cost a little more, but once you take a bite, you understand why it’s worth it. There are plenty of options to choose from, but my favorite is the Buffalo slice — absolutely sublime, with the perfect balance of spice, creaminess, and that signature Roman crust. Overall, I’d give Taglio Pizza a 9 out of 10 and highly recommend it if you’re craving authentic Roman-style pizza on Long Island.
Every Roman pizza slice variety is great. The Chicken Parmigiana hero and Vodka Parmigiana hero’s are great as well. Excellent quality ingredients, fresh tasting. Everything is delicious. One of my favorite local places. Thanks Rob.
Roman-style square slices were crispy on the outside and chewy on this inside. Highly recommended. They also carry a lot of Mexican sodas like cola and fanta that’s sweetened with cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup.
The white slice was very good. I’d definitely come back for it. Here’s some photos of the small parking lot.
I decided to try Taglio Pizzeria after seeing it pop up on most lists of the best pizza in Nassau County. The experience was good, but I wouldn’t quite say it’s the best I’ve had. The special slices, like the Roma Classic and Vodka Slice, were definitely better than the classic. The cheese was thicker, and the flavors were more interesting. The regular slice was fine, but the crust was a bit dry, and I probably wouldn’t have finished it if I didn’t have something to wash it down with. The seating area is decent — not cramped like most pizzerias, and the space was clean and spacious. Parking isn’t terrible, but just remember that it’s right next to the Mineola LIRR, so it can be a bit tricky at times. I was pleasantly surprised by the price — I only spent $15 for my whole order, which felt like a great deal. I also appreciate that it’s right across from the LIRR, so if you’re coming in late at night, it’s perfect for grabbing a bite before heading home instead of scrambling to make it to a spot before they close. Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best pizza I’ve had in the area.
Just hosted my son’s fourth birthday on the Long Island Railroad with a stop at Taglio for pizza and cupcakes and a piñata. Kudos to the entire staff and Marvin the manager who were so accommodating (even getting up on a ladder to hang the piñata). We arrived ten minutes after opening and we had five pies hot and sliced and ready to go. The food was excellent and the service was top notch! Everyone from the four year olds to the parents and grandparents had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!
Taglio Pizza is seriously good and worth the hype. There is no doubt. The ingredients are super fresh and you can tell. We found them on IG. The pizza comes out in a timely manner, and the variety is insane. You can tell real care goes into every item esp with the chef being a food network winner. Easily one of my go-to spots for great pizza. Prob the best pizza I’ve had or at least top 5 ever and I’m almost 40! We will be back when we are in New York.
It really is the most wonderful time of the year and Taglio Pizzeria has really made this holiday season the best of the best for the ending season of 2025. Thank you to Marvin and his team for making our holiday party for NYU Langone ASU Dept. the best party in the main building. Taglio (The BOUGIE PIZZARIA) really showed up and showed out for our team and I have to say proudly that everything was absolutely amazing and delicious beyond words. The Truffle Mushroom Roman Square Pie, the Buffalo Chicken and the San Gerrano didn't stand a chance once the boxes were opened. Thank you so much for your kindness and gracious service to us. We are truly greatly for this wonderful experience with Taglio... We will be ordering faithfully with you time and time again. Everyone who reads this... Please come near and far and experience the best Pizza Mineola has to offer. You won't be disappointed. Thank you so much Marvin and your wonderful hardworking team. Take a bow because you all deserve it.
Absolutely Incredible Pizza! I tried several kinds — truffle mushroom, BBQ, broccoli rabe & sausage, and prosciutto-arugula with mortadella & pistachio — and every single one was unbelievably good. The flavors were spot-on, fresh, and so creative. On top of that, the people behind the counter were so nice and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be back! 🍕💛
Place is well known, now opening multiple locations. I’ve been to a couple of them and they all are consistent. Pizza is Grade A. Locations are very cool with a lot of Mural‘s. The presentation of the pizza is always beautiful and it taste as good as it looks. Marvin has been a dislocation both times that I’ve went and he is so knowledgeable about the Pizza. You could see that he really cares about what he does and the product is proof itself. Gavin is making it happen and smooth while doing it. He’s got a great personality and is very welcoming. The staff was operating like a Will oil machine. Quick service, amazing product one of my favorite pizza joints. A must to go. A+++
Crispy square slices and pies. Good value when you look at the quality and size you're getting for the price. Seating gets packed so be prepared to take out. Crust 10/10 The crust has the perfect combination of being airy, crispy, without being burnt. Sauce 7/10 The sauce taste like the fresh tomato cooked in the oven style. It has some of that fresh tanginess of the tomato but it doesn't really stand out on its own. Cheese 7/10 The cheese is there but the flavor doesn't come through with any special notes or textures. Toppings: Buffalo Chicken 9/10 - the flavor is spot on. Not too buttery or spicy, just the right amount of spicy flavor. Vodka Roni Pesto 9/10 - smart combination of pepperoni, sauce, pesto. I think it could use some more pesto. I like the spice of the pepperoni Potato 7/10 - it's cool to try this. It's like half way between potato and mashed potato.
Finally got to try Taglio Pizza in Mineloa. I was helped by a wonderful gentleman behind the counter who went down the line to tell me what each pizza was. I got the classic pie and 4 specialty slices: vodka, truffle, hot honey, and BBQ chicken. Everything was delicious! (I did wish the truffle pizza had more truffle taste to it.) I really loved that the pie came out freshly made, topped with fresh basil and then fresh grated parmesan on top before the box was sealed. Dough had a perfect bite to it - not too doughy and light. FYI, if you're calling on a Friday evening, which I did, the phone is answered by AI. They will text you a link so you can place your order online. Overall, I'm glad I got to try Taglios. Would def come back if I'm in the Mineola area.
We vegetarians have been to this fast casual place few times, always consistent and primed. Yes, their fame continues to punch below weight. Maybe because food critics are too NYC-absorbed to think beyond Umberto's in Long Island. Unlike Umberto's, This place has the informal feel of a sports bar - 3 screens and seating for ~30. Decor is kid-adultish, cartoon themed on one side, and testimonials on the other (Guys, you prepare prime stuff and don't need testimonials). On this day, we food stragglers walked late, when they were in pipe-down mode; some banter going on, behind the counters. Our selection went into the oven for a reheat and some additional char. Balsamic drizzle on Burrata NY slices was a magical finishing touch. Bianco Roman lived up to the status of perinnial favorite. We also love their potato rosemary, vegana, vodka and The Serra (named after LI hero) slices. Their location, close to Winthrop (now NYU Langone Hospitals) & Mineola commuter hub, is conducive to the 'taglio' (by the slice) business model. But being tucked under the Mineola overpass might be keeping some drive-by business away. Availability of parking has been an occasional handicap, too. We also wonder why they stack dry storage in dining area, to Mar the ambience. Worth noting that 'taglio' convenience comes at a price. Sum of parts (slices) adds-up to 50% premium over the full pie.
If you're anywhere near Mineola, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Taglio Pizza. From the moment you walk in, the vibe hits you , a cozy, old-school, almost Gameish atmosphere that instantly makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into something special. Let’s talk about the pizza though: the crust? Perfect. That golden, crisp bottom with just the right amount of chew. These guys know what they’re doing, especially with their Roman square-style pies, they're what Taglio is best known for, and rightfully so. But don’t sleep on the regular triangle slice either… it honestly blew most of the “big name” spots out of the water. Bold flavors, great texture, and super fresh ingredients all around. They offer a range of exclusive, creative flavors you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you're in the mood for something classic or a little more experimental, they’ve got you covered. Yes, it gets super busy, and yes, sometimes there’s a little confusion between the orders and workers, but honestly I can’t blame them. When pizza tastes this good, the chaos is just part of the charm. And trust me, the wait is totally worth it. Oh, and the cherry on top? There’s parking right in front, the prices are surprisingly reasonable, and the staff, despite being swamped, keeps things moving with a smile. Taglio Pizza is the real deal; an absolute must visit if you’re in town. 🔥🍕
5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ SO worth the hype. The texture is unreal and unlike any other slice i’ve had before—so airy! If you’re placing a to-go order you have to order online as they don’t take orders via phone. When I got to the restaurant, I got to watch them put fresh basic and cheese which was so cool! Even though this place is quite the hike for us, I would definitely go out of my way to get it again!!
We came to Tagglios after hearing it called “the best on Long Island” and even seeing claims that it ranks #3 in the country (a bold statement that sets the bar high.) The regular slice was excellent: crisp yet chewy crust, and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Classic, well executed, and satisfying. We tried a few of their specialty slices the mushroom truffle and burrata were both solid, but the real standout was the potato, mushroom, and rosemary. Surprisingly my favorite earthy, savory, and beautifully balanced. That said, claiming to be the third best in the nation is a big responsibility and one they don’t quite live up to. For Long Island, it’s definitely a top contender. But compared to NYC pizza standards, it falls just short. Still, I’d give it a solid 8/10, which is pretty impressive. Worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving a quality slice.
This place rocks. The owner rob was there for a brief time and i watched him carefully monitor what came out of the ovens , how it was displayed. And if he didn't like it he tossed it. The place was packed we got about 6 slices and shared them. They were phenomenal 😍. The only thing I would suggest is adding a little something to the classic pepperoni it was a bit bland for my taste but everything else was 10 🌟. I hope they expand more into the boroughs
Ordered delivery on ubereats after hearing this place ranks #3 in the country for best pizza. It was absolutely delicious. I really appreciate that the ingredients are great quality and some things imported as well. I noticed that the pizza sat better in my stomach, and didnt give any issues that normal acidic pizza does to me. Very impressed. I tried the pepperoni and cant wait to try other slices next!
Taglio in Mineola, New York, is truly a standout when it comes to pizza, especially if you're looking for something beyond the traditional New York slice. This Roman-style pizzeria, known for its "pizza al taglio" (pizza by the cut), has garnered national acclaim, even being ranked as the No. 3 best slice shop in the U.S. by 50 Top Pizza for two consecutive years! What makes Taglio so delicious? Their Roman-style pies are baked in rectangular blue-steel pans, resulting in a unique crust that's both crispy on the bottom and incredibly light and airy in the middle. It is the perfect dough, made with high-quality Caputo flour, which contributes to a fantastic chew and a feeling of not being overly full after enjoying a few slices. Beyond the exceptional crust, Taglio uses artisanal meats and cheeses, ensuring every bite is packed with bold flavor. Popular mentions include their Bianco, burrata with balsamic drizzle, and Mortadella with pistachio slices. The freshness of ingredients, like basil and grated cheese on every slice, also gets high praise! If you're in Mineola or Massapequa Park, Taglio is a must-visit. The staff was very friendly, helpful and the service was fast for such a crowd. It's not just great pizza; it's a culinary experience that has earned international recognition and a loyal following. 5/5!
Best Roman style pizza in Long Island hands down. Great selection of toppings so you’re able to try different variations each visit. They offer all by the slice which is the best aspect. The dough is perfect with a light crunch. Service is friendly yet quick just how a pizzeria should be. Situated next to a hospital and the Mineola train station so be prepared during peak times such as lunch and dinner hours to expect a line. Meter parking all around and it’s a hit or miss. The few times I went, I was able to find a spot within three minutes.
Taglio serves some of the best Roman-style pizza around. The crust is light, crisp, and airy, and the toppings are top-notch—thoughtful combinations like fresh mozzarella with pesto or prosciutto with arugula and balsamic really shine. The space has a cool, urban vibe with exposed brick and bold art, making it a solid spot to sit or grab and go. Definitely a cut above your average slice shop
I came across it on Instagram and couldn’t resist trying it since the pizza looked amazing. The place definitely lived up to the hype. The seating area is small, but the counter was packed with mouthwatering pizzas. With so many tempting options, I ended up getting six different slices, and my favorite was the pepperoni slice drizzled with Mike's hot honey. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it.
