The Kaguya sushi roll was amazing!

Great food! I’m from out of town, so I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, spicy tuna and spicy albacore roll. Service was fast and the sushi was fresh and you could still taste the subtleties of fish in the spicy rolls. The ramen was good but felt like it was missing something. The broth was cloudy and fatty with a perfectly soft boiled egg.

The owners were so sweet and I had an amazing time here. We ordered the new Tonkotsu Ramen, and it came out quickly. The bowl is unique as is the broth. All in all, I would recommend checking this place out and ordering the ramen.

We ordered rolls and sashimi on New Year’s Eve and had a great experience. This is a cute, family-run restaurant, and the owner was extremely welcoming and kind. The rolls are very affordable and generously made, and the sashimi was thick and fresh. the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. We enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back again.

The sushi is soooo good! Very good quality! Specially the spicy avocado. They have very good deals and promotions too! The gentleman and the lady at the register were super kind. great service and cozy vibe! So happy I found a new go to sushi place in the neighborhood!

Kaguya is a cozy, family-run sushi spot that offers great value for the quality. We stopped by for dinner on a Friday and ordered the 18-piece sushi special (which comes with miso soup), along with two premium rolls: the Kaguya Roll and the Lemon Drop Roll. They’re currently running a promo: buy one roll, get one half off! The total came to around $50, which is an amazing deal given today’s prices. The fish was fresh and generously cut, especially on the sushi. The staff was also kind and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Kaguya Sushi in Mission Viejo is an absolute gem that I would gladly drive across town for! Everything about my experience here was exceptional until the last bite. The chef's special was admittedly on the pricier side, but it was worth every single penny - and then some. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the fish impossibly fresh, and the presentation was stunning. It's the kind of mouthwatering delicious that makes you close your eyes and savor each bite, something most restaurants can only aspire to achieve. The service matched the quality of the food, with attentive staff who clearly take pride in creating a memorable dining experience. The ambiance struck that perfect balance between elegant and comfortable. What truly earns Kagura their fifth star is that I'm already planning my next visit. This isn't just a place I'd recommend - it's a place I'd happily go out of my way to return to again and again. The staff is absolutely amazing. Been going here since previous owner had it under Hayashi. The quality of the food is just as amazing but the portions are large. Large sushi portions and they have some great deals. The beef bento box was delicious and the gyoza was golden crispy. In the evening they give complimentary delicious seared salmon 2 piece. Soo good. Honestly the best sushi in Missission Viejo. Right next to target mini off of crown valley.

I saw this place was highly rated but not to pricey for sushi so decided to give it a try. This is a mom and pop type place so decor was what I expected. We ordered their kaguya roll, salmon sashimi, Salmon and avocado roll, and Chery blossom and miso. The salmon sashimi was some of the freshest I have had and the portion was impressive. Same with the salmon and avocado roll, super fresh. Cherry blossom was a no rice roll. Delicious and well presented. The kaguya roll was also good. Miso exceptional. For $56 with tax this was amazing. I'll definitely come again!

Ordered the udon beef and chicken both very good with lots of flavor. Sushi was okay but not as good as the udon. Clean, family owned. We will be back.

My favorite sushi spot. Period. Kaguya Roll and Lemon Drop are bursts of flavor. Substantial and affordable.

My wife and I were looking for better poke... most places here are too fast-foody for me. I work in Irvine where amazing poke is standard... We ordered mixed poke/spicy and a (kiss something- forgot) roll... AMAZING!!! The quality here is amazing... you won't see it coming. But I walked in and it was apparent we have a REAL sushi chef on our hands...! What you see is a perfectly maintained workstation and just buttery fat cuts of fish... Goodness. Well that was yesterday. I came back today for lunch again! I've lost 20 pounds eating Poke for lunch... but that's while at work in Irvine. Finally? I have a local option but not just for poke... the sushi is JUST AS GOOD! THANK YOU KAGUYA! Update- I just want to add, I have eaten here 5 times a week since I found it LOL... So good!

The ramen was low-mid (meh...). Ramen noodles were instant (Nissin/Maruchan), and the toppings were weak. I was expecting a lot more from a $20 bowl of ramen. I could have made the same bowl of ramen at home for less than $4 in 10 minutes with some butter ,an egg, and vegetables I found in the refrigerator.

0 star ...I dont usually write reviews but literally a package of noodles dumped in a bowl of hot broth with a tiny piece of broccoli and a half of an egg scrambled in it. Wow!! Very disappointed 😞 Not even close to being worth 15 dollars let alone appetizing. Its a definite no go.
