Poke Bowl

I enjoyed being able to build my bowl, as the staff was friendly and efficient, they double checked with me to make sure all was right, it was a very popular spot as well they had many customers!

I go here on a regular basis and the food is always super fresh and tasty. Portions are generous and manager and staff are very friendly. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. If you enjoy sushi, poke is right up that alley but it is more sashimi style kind of fish rather than a roll. There are also a lot of different toppings options you can get on your bowl aside from just the fish that makes it more enjoyable! 10/10 highly recommend :-)))

Top 3 favorite spot to eat in town hands down! The location is always clean, the staff is always welcoming, and most importantly the food is freaking delicious. I personally get a large poke bowl every time and the fish portions are huge. Can’t go wrong with poke bowl

Our first time there and it was amazing! I did not expect it to be so good in McHenry. This will be my new weekly place and it's very healthy. You don't have that bloated feeling. I highly recommend

It was a great first time experience eating here. I had never had a Poke Bowl before but this kind guy Israel helped make it a comfortable and simple experience. The quality of the food was great and it tasted healthy! The food was definitely reasonably priced for its quality and I will be for sure coming back for more.

Prices are pretty decent for the amount of food you get (enough to keep me full for several hours), has excellent freshness and flavor, and the guy who helped me prepare my bowl was super fast like I walk in the door, and i tell him what I want and he has it ready and bowled up within 2-3 minutes. Now that is what i call fast service. Definitely would be back here to order food again.

So this has become a less frequent quick lunch or small meal because I feel it's more a fancy salad now and I can purchase all that for less expense and have multiple bowls.

Yummy and the fish was fresh. This place builds everything in the bowl so the sauces don’t get mixed in with the fish; this is why I went with four stars instead of five. Don’t be afraid to speak up and let them know if you want more sauce! The rice was nice and the other topping were great too. It’s a fresh convenient option for a quick lunch!

This was the first time I've been here and my friend and I were pleasantly surprised. The young male worker there was very friendly and welcoming. When I had a question, he was able to explain everything well to me. I got a regular and it was a great amount of food. I wasn't able to finish it! I really liked the atmosphere and options they had. When I'm in town, I will definitely come back again.

My dining companion and I were surprised by the quality of the food in this understated, hole-in-the wall place. The ahi was notably fresh and the shrimp portion generous. I appreciated having four base options that included brown rice as one. Don't expect any atmosphere, but the bowls were just as we like them, the price good, and the service by the young ladies behind the counter excellent.

Spicy tuna was interesting. It was like grounded tuna instead of chunks. The creamy shrimp was delicious. Portions were good. The employee was nice but when we asked what vegetables/toppings she would recommend she said she doesn't like vegetables. The atmosphere was quiet. There is no music that I can remember. If I go there again, I wouldn't get the spicy tuna.

The service and the spot is top notch. But the food used to be way better. This time, the seafood didn't seem as fresh, but it was still passable for poke in modesto. I still recommend this one over the other poke bowl on Pelandale by the costco. I just wish the quality would go back to how it used to be

Raw salmon had a really unpleasant "crunchy", hard texture, and smelled bad. I thought the red snapper tasted okay, but the quality of the fish overall was horrible.

I went here just a few weeks ago. Only people who don't know what real poke tastes like will enjoy eating here. The fish looks, smells, and tastes gross. I think they have it sitting out at room temperature the entire day. I took one bite, then sadly threw the whole 20 dollars of food away. Please trust me when I say don't eat here. It is not worth the risk getting food poisoning from fish not properly stored/kept. The place is stingy with sauces, dimly lit, not very clean and the service sucks. On top of it all, the owner is a real unkind person.

The food was extremely bland and lacked any real flavor. In my large bowl, they barely added a drop of ponzu sauce, and the spicy mayo was practically non-existent, which made the whole dish feel underwhelming. On the bright side, the portion size was generous, so at least the price feels somewhat justified. However, the quality of the fish was disappointing—it was still partly frozen in some spots and mushy in others. The smell test was only moderate, not terrible but not reassuring either. Overall, for the price, I expected fresher, higher-quality ingredients.

There was a new worker here today that really didnt understand the menu. I ordered ponzu sauce(yellow bottle) as a topping and the dude sat there and basically took a guess and grabbed the green bottle(sesame oil). I told him that wasnt the ponzu, it very obviously wasnt too because of how thick it was and he doubled down and told me I was wrong. The ponzu bottle has always been the yellow one for the 10+ years ive been going here. I guess thats whatever but my big issue is that as I was walking out the persons coworker came up to them and told them they were wrong and pointed at the yellow bottle saying that was the ponzu. I paused at the door and looked at them and they looked at me and did nothing. I left feeling extremely disrespected. The sauce they gave me is sesame oil which people have life threatening allergens too. Have fun killing someone with your negligence. I will never set foot in this establishment again.

this is literally the saddest excuse for a spam masubi. the rice was like hard block and fell apart completely within the first bite & there was hardly any sauce. honestly , the poke by pelandale is way fresher and actually knows how to prepare the food. considering it took them 15 -20 minutes for the singular order of masubi with no other customers coming in, i’d expect more than this sad excuse of an appetizer:(

Went there around 12:40 there was a worker with short red hair and glasses. Suuuuuper rude!!! I was asking questions about the steps in ordering, instead of answering my question she got loud and repeated herself in such a rude way very short with my partner and I she made me so uncomfortable I didn't even want to finish ordering the food is okay at best. Don't work in service if you dont like people.

That’s the cut that gives poke its smooth, tender texture and clean flavor. Instead, this bowl had the leftover scraps from tougher areas with connective tissue. The flavor was overly fishy instead of mild and fresh. There were only a couple drops of spicy mayo, leaving the rice and fish bland and dry. This tasted like scraps tossed in with bare sauce and was definitely not worth the price. I was supposed to get two scoops of protein but from the amount of bad quality fish I received, it seems like there was barely one. I’m not one to complain or ask for refunds but I highly regret coming here and wasting my money. Definitely not the quality I’d expect at this price…. As an ahi tuna lover, I am heartbroken.
