Skewers Kabob House

My wife and I were the area yesterday evening so we came here about an hour before closing and were not disappointed. My wife got a rack of lamb and it was fabulous. And I got the garlic chicken kebab. It was absolutely amazing. And they definitely do not skimp on the flatbread. We also got the shrimp cocktail and like roasted garlic hummus, which were both really good. Would highly recommend this place.

The best! Everything is amazing here no matter how many times you go. Staff, food, drinks, all are stellar. Great family options, kids menu, and their happy hour is the best around, in my opinion.

2 nd time visiting and did not disappoint both times. The rack of lamb and skewer of shrimp is a great combination. Very well done in both flavor and presentation.

Fabulous place to have lunch or dinner and get great service too! Our server, Mandy, gave us great suggestions on what to eat and the salmon Kabobs did not disappoint! Her customer service was top notch and we really enjoyed our time there. The menu has a large variety of kabobs and other items to suit any palate. Highly recommend this fine establishment!!!!

Had a great in-door dining experience. I've been here multiple times and they've never disappointed me. Ordered their lamb, shrimp and salmon dishes as appetizers and for the main course we shared the carnivore meat platter (forgot the name but it was $75)...it was sooo much food. Really good!

Authentic food, especially Mediterranean and Persian cuisine,,the kabobs are the specialty of skewers, I like the eggplant stew and ghorme sabzi( Persian herb stew) which I gave up eating.this stew is originally made from fresh fenugreek cilantro and spinach with mostly either kidney pains or black eyed beans. But nowadays they make it with a mixture of these beans that is a different version the original and authentic version uses only one kind of beans either kidney or black eye beans depending on the region of Iran. In southern parts of Iran black eye beans are used while the northern and central parts of Iran ghorme sabzi is made with kidney beans only. Update 12.15 2023 We stopped by on our way home from shopping for a comfort dish, the restaurant was packed but the floor manager was kind enough to prepare a booth table within 10 minutes and she treated us with baklava pastry because our food was delayed for almost half an hour. Went on a Wednesday night, service was exceptional. The prosecco bubbled over a little, which we gave no thought to, yet our waitress brought a small extra bottle to compensate. Ordered lamb rack, tiger shrimp and both kinds of rice. All great. We were the last ones there after closing and they still offered dessert. Top notch dining.

First timer here. Place and ambiance inside look very welcoming and some what more upscale. Service was very good, it could be great. Food came out within 10mins or so. Food and appetizer was 🔥. Not kidding I was very impressed with all of our entrées. Will come again forsure. Can't wait.

Very good food and service! Staff are nice and helpful (we were helped by Angelina) The food is hot, fresh and tasty. I loved how neat, clean, and fancy the resturant is. KUDOS to the kitchen staff and Chef Rophe.

Amazed we were able to be accommodated due to it being a Saturday during dinner rush and no reservations. Staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere had a jazz lounge feel w/o the band. Will definitely return. Get the pomegranate icecream so creamy and yummy.

Amazing food! Kabobs were delicious. The rice is super tasty with the butter. The saffron and pomegranate ice cream is super delicious.

Had a very nice lunch date here! First time at this location and I'm impressed by the decor. Only one person serving tho. Could've used a helping hand. Will absolutely go back!

Great food! Update, we have been to this restaurant several times, and the wait and service seems to worsen. We waited a long time for our food and the waitress forgot to bring some of the appetizers. The food is amazing but the service needs attention.

A bit loud for my family and me. Kid friendly place! They have a bar and we sat over in one of the booths. Overall good food, service, and friendly staffs. We brought my son a packed dinner, while we had kebabs and rack of lamb.

Great place for a bite and a drink. Best Old Fashioned. Will definitely come back. Danni does an amazing job behind the bar even when the pressure is high.

The food and service by Mandy (who helped when our drinks were spilled all over the table!) was superb! The music was too loud. Hard to have a conversation. Overall, it was fine

Skewers is a great place to get quality Mediterranean food. The servers are tentative and friendly. Lamb, beef, chicken, grilled veggies all very tasty. Definitely recommend.

I’ve only had the pleasure of experiencing their catering menu. That was enough for me to want to recommend this establishment. I interacted with two really wonderful & positive-minded managers. They found a way. The food was very satisfying. I even brought leftovers to my 14-year-old and he devoured them. I’ve heard belly-dancing occurs on Saturdays. I’m not sure I’d be able to make it, but it sounds very intriguing. Great value for lunch. I’ll be using them again soon and I recommend you do the same.

Went to skewers on Thursday for date night appetizers and cocktails. As usual, this food is outstanding and the cocktails were amazing. The food is so flavorful and if you’re trying to eat healthy, you can’t beat the grilled meat and vegetables. They were very busy but the hostess Bailey was very friendly, helpful ,checked back with us frequently and worked hard to get us a spot in the bar as soon as possible, which was much appreciated. Love Skewers!

I have been here 3 times and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. Their food is great, service is phenomenal, drinks are tasty, and prices are reasonable for this type of restaurant. If you want to try something new, give this place a go. They even had a belly dancer come through the dining area at one point. Was unexpected but neat.

The salmon and prawns, shish and Lula, lamb chops, and the baclava were all excellent. We were there after theatre and were delighted to have such food and service before the drive back to the east bay. We found walking from the theater quite comfortable - next time we’ll park near the restaurant and walk from there.

Great place. The food is delicious. I sat at the bar. The bartender Angel is friendly amd nice and very attentive. He knows his drinks and does a fantastic job behind the bar!! He is easy to talk to. He is 10 stars. The rest of the staff are friendly and nice

Absolutely amazing. Everything a 10/10! The service, atmosphere, and the FOOD. Delicious and loved everything. Our server Aaron was a very sweet lady and made our experience the best of best. Will definitely be coming back it’s worth the drive!

First time eating at Skewers and I will not be the last. We had the samplers and lamb lollipop the food was amazing! We also had some alcoholic beverages Turkish Martini they were delicious.

The food is absolutely delicious. A Mediterranean gem that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel welcome. Portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. Highly recommend!

Skewers Kebab House has a really nice atmosphere and great service, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was decent overall. The meat was cooked perfectly and very flavorful, but for the price, I expected a bit more wow factor. The vegetable skewers were way overdone, completely charred,but they were kind enough to take them off the bill, which I appreciated. I wouldn’t say it was mind-blowing, but I’d definitely give it another try.

We sat in the bar area after work and the bartender was absolutely amazing. She seemed to have drinks within 5 minutes upon ordering. And then came back and asked if we wanted to order food. We gladly said yes an ordered food which came out nice and hot. Thank you so much for a great after work meal and drink with a colleague

This was my first time dining here. What we ordered was amazing! I had the Garlic Chicken and Jovita had the Chicken Sultani. The bread they served was delicious! Everything was good. For our beverages, I had a blackberry cider and she had ice water with cucumber. Everyone here is super friendly and professional. They must’ve been short staffed today because it seemed like the staff was stretched very thin. I almost gave three stars but the staffs professionalism kept me at four stars.

It was delicious -- I'm especially a fan of the Dolma (stuffed grape leaves). The appetizers (we got the Mediterranean sampler) were very good and tasted Mediterranean, the entrees, to me, seemed a bit more Americanized. Still delicious, but not quite as authentic as the appetizers. Overall, we had a great experience, and our server was lovely and personable. I'll be thinking of those dolmas I'm days to come.

An issue that was really, irritating was the Flies. We were seated outside and the Flies we're highly irritating. Management needs to put a thin net outside to handle that as well as other solutions to ensure comfortability without interference The waiter was very nice and professional. The food was good. I and my family enjoyed the food. I order the Chicken and Garlic Kabob it was very flavorful. The tomatoes were burned and I believe the garlic slices as well. I did not care too much about that though but if it's your thing then you may care. The desert was very delicious I ordered the cheesecake with chocolate syrup on the side I would highly recommend that dish. The male bathroom is very clean and smelled very fresh and Pleasant I would suggest for management to implement automatic Solutions for the paper towel dispenser as well as the soap dispenser to help minimize contact for sanitary purposes. The overall experience was very good.

Good ambiance & bar area. Decent wine list. Menu leaves a lot to be desired; not terrible but for the price we expected better (non store bought) pita bread and a few more vegan options. A+++ service

Would definitely order again, I'd just recommend takeout.. was there for a hour with no refills on drinks and never got more than the appetizer so we requested it to be packaged to go when it was finally done ..also was not greeted when we arrived but flavor was on point!

Honest review from an F&B professional with over 20 years of experience. I was introduced to this restaurant 3 weeks ago and my first visit was good, food quality, portions, price etc. However my second time 2 weeks ago I sat at the bar and it was pretty bad. Dirty bar, foul smell, short staffed , waited a long time for my food and even though I order the exact same thing as the last time my food was not as good. Second visit was a solid 5/10. Last night I decided to give this place a third visit since is across the street from the hotel I'm staying at. I order my food to go , i walked to my hotel and this time the steak was bad; the taste was most likely coming from protein left at not appropriate refrigerated temperature for quiet sometime, that alone gives any protein a different flavor profile. I wanted to love this place specially because my first visit was great and fun however the consistency is definitely not there.

Drink didn’t have fizz so we had to ask for replacement. Kabaabs had hair inside it, and again we had to ask for replacement. Quantity of appetizers were less.

It is a totally overrated resturent. Their service and atmosphere was amazing. However I would give only 2 stars for their food because the chicken Kabob were burned from outside and undercooked from inside, their hummus was not worth for 1 star.

We waited about 20 minutes just to find a front desk employee to seat us. No one was there. My sister even went to the back to look for someone after the people behind us asked if anyone had come out—nobody did. You’d think an employee would notice a line forming. Another sister went to ask for help, still nothing. Finally, someone else waiting in line went to look for an employee, and only then did staff come out—by that point, several people were lined up waiting to be seated. When we were finally taken to our table, there was a dirty napkin with food on it. I waited for our server so I could ask for clean utensils, but she never came. I grabbed clean utensils from an empty table nearby and moved the dirty ones aside. When the server finally came, she took the clean utensils I had grabbed, and I had to stop her and explain those were clean because the ones on the table were dirty. Oddly, she never removed the dirty ones. I ordered hummus, which is supposed to come with bread, but it was served without any bread—just a spoon. When I asked about it, she asked if I wanted extra bread, even though I hadn’t received any in the first place. Overall, it was an awful experience due to poor service, lack of attention, and basic mistakes that shouldn’t happen.

Took my friend to dinner last night as it was one of my favorite places to eat so I wanted her to enjoy it like I do. Waited at the bar for a table about ten minutes. We were moved to a table in the bar area. We ordered the Shiraz salad which was perfect as usual. Then we ordered the shrimp skewers, they were so hard that when you opened them they were mushy inside. The waitress graciously brought us new plates and while they were better than the last two of my shrimp were hard. We enjoyed our meals and were offered a dessert to make it right. I paid for our meal and tipped our waitress very graciously as I knew this was not her fault. Then at 2:47am a began, I ran back and forth to the restroom all night about 10 times. Unfortunately this was the worse experience of my life. I’ve been in pain since. My friend, she’s going through the same issue. Not sure what happened but definitely not recommending my once favorite place. So sad

I got a mimosa at the bar prior to being seated and was very disgusted by the bartender. It appeared like he cleaned his nose on his black shirt. Even though he's losing hair, it still looked disheveled. That should have been the 1st clue this might not be the experience I want. When seated I felt like my butt was going to fall through. I informed the host to please take that chair out of rotation. She took it and put it at another table. The bread and butter that is served comes out cold. The waitress was very pushy and abrupt with us on ordering. To be frank, you can tell she hates her job. Yes there was over 10 of us and I kept trying to tell her it was separate tabs but she could care less. I believe there was a fire in the kitchen because it was super smokey. The food was ok, and my rice was cold but because of the workers I didn't want to say anything anymore. It was my 1st time there and I can only imagine what's really going on behind closed doors. I work in medicine and we often order from here, the comparison is night and day. I will not be ordering or recommending eating from this establishment anymore. P.s. The bathroom was clean, that helped.
