I might have just had one of my top meals of 2022 and it hardly touched my wallet for what we ate. Heaven. What a restaurant. This is the kind of place you have a fight over on google maps, it’s hard to find, then have a second fight figuring out where to park - but then once the meal is done and you are full and can’t take dessert and all you can think of is the emotional and visceral response you have to the food that you stop and recognise that it was worth the heartache to get to it. Do not miss this place. After its namesake “fagiano” you simply must eat it here as well at the chingale which is wild boar from my understanding - both are exceptional and stand out dishes along with the pasta too. Look - you don’t need me to tell you anything - just ask the larger than life maître d to bring you her best dishes and a half carafe of their house red. If you don’t have the best meal of your life then never read my posts again - I’ll understand. This is a must if you are in Como area.

That’s the perfect meal to have when craving for proper homemade Italian food. First, the Italian gentlemen assist my husband with the parking situation since it was our first time driving in Italy. Then, a very cozy house where we got served some amazing food, good wine, and the best pannacotta I’ve ever had. I definitely recommend, and wish to come back many many times.

Limited menu but wonderful (generously portioned!) food, reasonably priced and very friendly staff. Really lovely atmosphere especially after dark with mood lighting. We enjoyed 3 large delicious courses, and a 1ltr carafe of wine for €75! The bruschetta with honey and nuts is divine.

If i could give this place 10 starts i would. Food was so good. Place feels like at your grandma's. Service was great too. Very local and stuff do make you feel very welcome there. Highly recommended for local italian cuisine.

A great local place were you can get a real Italian, homemade food. I suggest to taste all the appetizers. The friendly staff speak a little English and the price is very reasonable.

Fantastic service and wonderful food. They have great variations of specialty meats. I suggest to taste all the appetisers! All the staff went above and beyond from wine and food selections to providing us with some food the following morning as everything was shut for groceries. Thank you very much!

This place is absolutely amazing! A local family runs the restaurant and grandma makes all the desserts! The food is all local and the menu changes based on the season. Reasonable priced, quiet location, great service! One of our best meals in Como... and we went twice! Suggest the Bruschetta, Veal Osso Bucco and the Tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had!

A super-homely restaurant in the Moltrasio hillside that gave us some of the best food on our visit to Lake Como. The lovely lady who comes and tells you the menu was really sweet and not having a menu in front of you was quite a different dining experience. The starter was an amazing mix of sliced cured meats, the favourites definitely being the speck and honeyed bacon. For mains we shared the Pheasant Ragu and the pasta was cooked perfectly. We also had a surprise second course on the lady’s suggestion which was steak and mushrooms on polenta. The polenta was fantastic and the mushrooms were so tasty, the steak was also cooked nicely. The only slightly disappointing dish was the cheesecake for dessert. Otherwise it was a top-notch experience and I would definitely recommend it.
