A repetir 👍
IMPECCABLE. The best flavors, presentation, portion size and service!! We left so satisfied while at the same time dreaming of when we can return! The gluten-free burger bun was so soft, the meat perfectly cooked, the pulled pig was definitely cooked in a savory “secret sauce” and the sweet potato fries go with any/every meal. Our waiter asked if they could have made anything better and we truly had no suggestions. We topped it all off with the warm skillet cookie to share and left happier than ever. Thank you Mischa and team!! We will be back soon 🤗😘🙏
The best to come for top quality, fresh food, whatever your dietary requirements. Seriously, I’m GF, and this has to be one of the very few places where anything on the menu can be made GF!! This restaurant is 100% worth a lovely trip to Monchique and if you like wine also, spend the afternoon and evening here. You can always get a cab home or check-in to the hotel down the hill, you will not regret it!!! Just give Chris a heads up, and he’ll be ready with the best wine. Chris and Misha (the owners), are legends!
A harrowing drive (according to my wife) was made worthwhile with this find. Nestled in the mountainside, just above Monchique, is a true epicurean destination. Their menu is creatively imagined with an offering for practically every palette. This being our first time here, we ordered 3 starters to share: The Green Goat, The Bang Bang Shrimp and Calamari, and The Pulled Pig Stuffed Potatoes. Each one was as delicious as the last. The pork was moist and slightly smokey with a slight sweetness, piled on half of a small potato and topped with a dollop of sour cream (or crême fraiche) with chives and cheddar cheese. Yum. The fried green tomatoes had a light breading and were nicely browned with being oily. The Cajun remoulade was set off by the goat cheese crumbles. Not being a fan of arugula, my Bride picked up my slack and enjoyed that part of the dish. Finally (not really), we enjoyed the Bang Bang course. This double bang is courtesy of some thinly sliced, candied piri-piri peppers sprinkled throughout the dish. Being a fan of spicy peppers, I loved this dish. It would be easy enough to eat around these lovely bits of fire if you are not as enthusiastic about a lovely burn as I am. It was the perfect amount for lunch. Except, we still had half a bottle of wine. Hmmm. Well, the cheese platter was the obvious choice. It arrived with some small toasts and two delicious pots of pepper jam. One green jalapeno and one red piri-piri. Again, right up my alley. We enjoyed the cheese trio of cow, goat, and sheep cheeses. And it was the right amount to enjoy the remaining wine. And the wine. We asked for a recommendation for both the food and the wine. He confirmed our food choices without being prompted about what we were interested in trying. He also hit the red we were considering. It was very nice, even though the label said it " may throw some sediment." Thankfully, our bottle was well behaved and our clothes remained clean. If the food wasn't enough to draw you to the Ceiceira Tasting Lounge, the scenery may well complete the temptation. Be sure to sit in the glass walled room near a window overlooking Monchique and the surrounding mountains. I cannot recommend this establishment enough. We will definitely be back.
The restaurant is big - sit outside amongst the flowers, inside dining on plush velveteen chairs with a breathtaking view or, as we did the patio dining with comfortable chairs. country music and serene Monchique hills. From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed, both servers with true smiles on their faces- you can tell they like working there. Stephanie was delightful and took care of our every need and questions about the menu/restaurant. We came for comfort food & Oh how Ceiceira succeeded! The deviled eggs w bacon jam we devoured, couldn’t even wait for a photo after tasting that Bacon Jam!! They need to bottle the jam. The batter on the fried chicken was on point with the sriracha sauce to dip and for the fluffy waffle a local honey mix w a hint of heat. Loved the perfectly cut 3x3 crunchy breakfast potatoes. The melt in your mouth pulled black pig w delicious coleslaw was so yummy- they were out of cornbread cause they just opened last week, yet the waffle was a good substitute. Prices are reasonable. The bathrooms are very clean. Parking is very easy & there’s lots. Misha & Chris are the real deal - working & loving their restaurant- it truly shows! We will be back again & again
My husband and I heard about this little place in Monchique that offers a bit of Southern food fusion with Portuguese, so you bet your bottom dollar we were there as soon as we could get a table booked! We had the most amazing view setting on the tastefully decorated relaxed patio area. The staff and owners were a delight to chat with, the food and wine were divine! We seriously couldn't decide on what to order for dinner so we ordered more to take home. It was absolutely delicious! The Sticky Fingers ribs were falling off the bone tender, the Algarvian shrimp were very tasty with a spicy kick to it, especially loved the starter Bang Bang Prawns and Calamari, and let's not forget dessert - oh...that Banofee Pie - yum yum! We paired it all with a flight of wine and it was perfect! If you are ever in the Monchique area - We highly recommend this lovely little gem!
Lovely location with spectacular views of the valley. Lots of free parking space. The interior is modern and elegant with robust touches. Even on hot days, it's breezy enough to come in and refresh. The wine tasting trip (North to South) with wines from Vinho Verde, Dão and Algarve, was a lovely idea, and for a very affordable price. There are quite some choices for food, and everything we saw looked good. It all incorporates some local ingredients. The tortilla chips with spicy cheese and chouriço were very good as a starter. For mains we had slow-cooked ribs and crispy chicken, both very flavourful. The portions are good: it's good value for money! Last but not least, the service was very warm, heartfelt and prompt. All in all, as the region of Monchique doesn't have a lot of appealing restaurants for tourists, this is definitely a welcome place to relax and eat and drink well for an affordable price!

Excelente sítio, comida maravilhosa e doses generosas. Preço bastante competitivo tendo em conta tudo isto. Recomendo muito a sopa de amendoim e leite de Coco. Voltaria lá todos os dias para a comer!
Espaço moderno mas rustico. Espaçoso e confortante. Adorei a decoracao. Faz me sentir em casa. Super simpaticos e atenciosos. Entrei com a minha esposa por engano e curiosidade, tomamos um cafe e um sorvete. O sorvete era de uma qualidade fantastica e sabor divinal. Vou voltar para experimentar as varias "tapas" disponiveis no menu. Recomendo!! Ahhh a vista é super relaxante.
Bom gosto. Elegância. Excelente cozinha. Pessoal simpático e eficiente.
Lugar muito acolhedor com uma staff top. Parabéns.
Uma experiência a repetir.
