This little family run restaurant punches way above its modest appearance. Don’t walk past - get inside! The menu was enhanced with several fresh specials available. The stuffed squid was amazing and the pistachio crusted tuna was delicious. My partner had shrimp salad and then gnocchi cacio pepe with octopus ragu. We shared chocolate puddings to round off a perfect supper.
The diner was great. The server told us all the stuff in the menu and he explained to us in French so he made a great effort. Typical food of the area. We hope to come again if we pass nearby :)
I've just had the loveliest evening and it was all down to the service and food at Parlapa Bottego. Both waiters were friendly and professional, and allowed me to speak what little Italian I know. The food was delicious and, being a solo traveller, I felt very much at home. I will come again.
This place is what a restaurant should be. Not over-complicated food but cooked with skill - we went twice and all 3 courses were perfect both times. The waitress was lovely, and clearly cared about the food and about your enjoyment of it. It is a small restaurant and the few staff obviously take care and pride in serving food that is a pleasure to eat. Prices are very reasonable, including for the very nice house wine. If you are in Moneglia, go!
Great restaurant with strong focus on the ligurian cuisine. We had some fresh pasta with anchovies and vongole. The pasta was made with lemon in the dough, what made the dishes to come with a special flavour twist. Probably not the puristic taste of a classical pasta vongole but indeed a good variant of the dish. As main course we had the chance to eat ricciola (amber jack), which was made „tataki“ style, meaning to be raw inside, what the good quality of the fish is actually asking for. Finally the service took the time to explain everything very well and answer all of our culinary questions. So we felt very welcomed and experienced an authentic ligurian dinner in this restaurant! We definetely recommend to eat at the parlapa, if you love the cuisine of the ligurian coast!
The best place in Moneglia ! My friends and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this restaurant during our holiday in Italy, and I can honestly say it was the best meal of the entire trip. The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor — every dish tasted like it was made with the finest local ingredients. The seafood was especially delicious and perfectly cooked, and the tuna steak was simply outstanding, with a perfect balance of texture and taste. The service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even more memorable. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this place is an absolute must-visit!
Had such an amazing dinner on our final night in Moneglia. Lorenzo, our server, offered a tasting menu to be four of us and every single dish was local and quite possibly the best thing I ate in my 3 weeks in Italy. Highly recommend if you’re in Moneglia or nearby (definitely order the snapper stuffed ravioli OMG).
Wonderful! We followed the reviews and were rewarded. The restaurant is spacious, clean and every dish was explained really well by Lorenzo the chefs son. The food is regional but varied and given enough creative twist to make it unique without being pretentious. The stuffed baby squid (pictured) was delicious … I enjoyed mine so much that I didn’t photo anyone else’s. Every plate was licked clean. This is heaven for food lovers, but not people who want their tuna well-done…
Wonderful family-owned restaurant with “twists” on local classics. We had an incredible experience—our waiter was the family’s son, who, along with his father (the sole chef) provided warm, friendly, charming service while we ate one of the best meals of our Italian adventure. The menu is small—a good sign if you’re a seasoned traveler—the specials are extensive and creative.
An excellent restaurant, with great service and attention to detail. We would defiantly recommend. Food: Anchovies; Stuffed Squid; Seafood Pasta; Gnocchi and Octopus Taste: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Waiting time for food: circa 20 mins Price: 7/10 Quantity: 8/10 Cleanliness: 9/10 On a separate occasion we also had breakfast here which again didn’t disappoint.
This place is special! The little town of Moneglia has lots of nice restaurants. 3 or 4 are outstanding and this is one of them. Unprepossessing and quite dark to look at, set back from the front street, the menu is small but instantly stands out as not your average fare. We shared anchovies on seaweed bread to start. Good. Then we both had pistachio crusted tuna. Excellent. We hardly ever have desert but we’re intrigued by the description of egg nog custard with the hazelnut cake. Oh my! I am an English woman and can make proper custard - this was quite simply the best I’ve ever had. The house white was very good and our waitress spoke excellent English and was very pleasant. Go here if you like very good food.
The maybe best cacio é pepe i have ever eaten. I can't emphasize this enough. Cacio é pepe is one of my most loved italian dishes. Simple and not very forgiving while cooking. This one had the perfect consistency and a great taste. The restaurant choose to combine it with a smoked tuna sauce. Both together hit me out of nothing. Just marvellous and amazing. The main course came along with a great entrance and a very unique desert. The white housewine was astonishingly distinguished and had some great character. Our server was the nicest, she fulfilled every wish of our group of very allergic and partly vegan people while speaking great english. Srsly: go here its an experience you don't want to miss.
We had breakfast twice at Parlapa! The staff is really friendly and the food is great. Real Italian coffee, a very tasty homemade cake and the eggs with bacon are perfectly simple and tasty. This is definitely a nice restaurant. When we come back to Moneglia, we will try dinner for sure.
Very nice Restaurant with an exclusive small menu. We loved the Wagyu Carpaccio and the Tagliolini with Clams and Bottarga (tipical Liguria) and with Tuna and Tomatos.

The quality of the food is not worth the price. The pasta we got was dry, and the fish was presented in very small quantity. We dont recommend going there.
