Islands is such an underrated chain. They have the best fries and some of the better burgers I’ve had in my life. Specifically the Kilauea Burger. I love the flavors on this burger. The fried onions, the pepper crusted patty, and the pepper jack cheese. They nail it every time. I’m not joking when I say that they have the best fries. You can tell they are fresh, hand cut, and fried perfectly every time. Crispy outsides, but not too crispy. Every fry is delicious in that basket. I’m always shocked when I go into an islands that isn’t packed because this chain is top of the list for me. I think a lot of people are sleeping on it

Decent lunch for burgers and tacos. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The design is open and attractive. Seating and loop of surfing, skiing/boarding and skate boarding are fun to watch 😎

Burgers were really good as were the fries, and the onion rings were tasty but a bit too crunchy . Our server was friendly and helpful. Large space, but surprisingly not super noisy, although we ate during the week, so it was not full. Happy hour menu and drinks were good value.

Delicious food and drinks! The food is so good here and the drinks are so amazing. I would have given 5 stars except that they need to clean their blinds. It looks like they haven't cleaned those in a while and I received wheat bread after ordering white bread. Other than that, the customer service was fantastic and the quality/freshness of the food was fantastic.

Great service. The staff was incredibly friendly and food came out fast and hot. If you haven't been it's like a Cali-Hawaiian Applebee's. Everything is just fine.

The food here was delicious — especially the Tempura Green Beans, which I totally recommend. The only issue was the service. We asked for a refill and had to remind the server, and it felt like he was more focused on other tables. Still, the food was great overall.

Ordered tiki tenders, Malibu (bacon burger, add fried egg), and Sandpiper (grilled chicken sandwich). All of the food was good but not particularly spectacular and not really worth the price of $18 for each sandwich and $15 for the tenders. For drinks, I tried both the agua frescas and they were both very refreshing and enjoyable if you are into that sort of thing. Service was good enough except they don't really hand out napkins unless you explicitly ask and the waiter happens to be carrying napkins. The place does have a nice surf vibe with a bar and all the seats are well cushioned.

The food was okay, beer was okay, we wish they had more of a selection. Our waitress was VERY kind- they were terribly understaffed today and you could tell everyone was overwhelmed. Our daughter’s kids meal came about 20 minutes after our food and they comped that item which was appreciated. My wrap was tasty but our spinach artichoke dip was terribly greasy and a very small amount for the price. Nothing terrible but also nothing great to share.

So this is our second time at this restaurant. The first time was just the same as this time. Same table, same food quality, same bad service. The restaurant was not busy and all the employees seem to hang out in the kitchen area rather than checking on their tables. The employees are not present during your dining experience. We sat down as a party of 6 and were asked what we want to drink. We gave our drink order and then we were immediately asked what we want to eat. My mom said they just sat down so we will need a couple of minutes. 15 minutes later we were still sitting there waiting. The floor manager came out of the kitchen area twice looked in our direction and turned around and walked back to the kitchen. The server Jessica was waiting on the table beside us so we asked her if there was someone who could take our order and she said you need to order and got an attitude with us like it was our fault that no one took our order sooner. She was very rude when taking our order as well. Her exact words were “what can I get for you, you, you, you, you, you” and then just walked away. The hamburgers are so greasy that it soaks the bun making it fall apart when you eat it. This time I got the beach bowl and I got one piece of pineapple in my bowl. I substituted the carnitas for the chicken and when the food runner brought my bowl he said who got the veggie bowl. I stated no one here got a veggie bowl and he said this is the same thing. So the employees don’t even know what they are serving. My dads food did not even come out with out food and my sons food was cold like they made it first and left it sitting there while they made the rest of the food. Not to mention the carnitas was very salty. No one asked if our food was okay. All our drinks were empty before she even offered to refill them. No one finished their food and not one person asked or cared. I have been in the food industry for over 30 years and fired employees for the type of service we got tonight. I pride myself on the experience and service I give to each one of my customers. There is no excuse for this type of experience. If you are going to spend your money do it somewhere else.

Very disappointed in the food. My burger patty was thin as paper and very overcooked. And the bun was twice the size of the burger patty. In the end, I didn't even end up eating it. The Chicken tortilla soup was good and flavorful,just wish it was served hot and not luke warm. We definitely will not be returning. Oh, forgot to mention the burger was priced at $16, not worth the price at all.
