We were at the Ward's Brudge Inn to celebrate my wife's birthday. I had been there several years ago so I knew what to expect but it was my family's first time. The service was exceptional. Our server brought us refills on our (non-alcoholic) drinks without asking and was very attentive. She even had them bring out extra bread without asking. The food was awesome. We had the Seafood Pappardelle, the Seafood Gnocchi, Chicken Parmesan and Ceasars Salad with Salmon. The Tuna Over Toast Sushi appetizer was also delicious. We all had great desserts, too, including Blueberry Cheesecake, Warm Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream and a Cinnamon Skillet Bake with Vanilla Ice Cream. We will be back!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful birthday dinner .
From the excellent service, to the delicious food.. everything about our dining experience was outstanding! Our server Rosie displayed some of the best customer service we’ve come upon while dining out. She was personable, friendly and attentive. Compliments to the chef… because the food was also some of the best we’ve had. Even the bread with butter and salads were fantastic. The portions are generous, and each dish was cooked to perfection. We look forward to returning and trying more dishes on their menu. Highly recommended!
We went for a 4:30pm dinner reservation on a Saturday night, and it was perfect. The service was just attentive enough that we were able to enjoy time as a family but still got everything we needed. All the food came out well timed, and we never had a moment we were wondering when a dish would come out or when it would be bussed. I wish we had room for dessert because we saw them and they liked delicious. Next time we'll skip the appetizer and go for chocolate cake!
Great restaurant with nice ambiance and that old charm. We ran into the owners out front who ended up taking our picture on the porch which was a good laugh. Food was 5 star in my opinion. A ton of flavor and flair in every dish. The delicious fresh bread and the salads was really nice as well, and for the dessert tray….. chefs kiss. Overall perfect evening.
I cannot say enough about how good the food was here!!!!! We did call ahead for a reservation and we were able to get one pretty last minute but it wasnt terribly busy. The price point on meals here is perhaps a little higher than some are comfortable with but the quality of the food actually matched the price point for a change! Wait staff was friendly and efficient. What a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend to friends and family. I can't wait for the next visit here!
What a great meal, after a very hard day at work, it was such a pleasure to sit and relax with a great meal! We started with there 20 year anniversary special, for less than $40 we had shrimp, fillet mignon and cheese cake with 20 percent off a bottle of wine, it made the meal! Our waitress Becca was great, she gave us some ideas and we just kept ordering. She was so pleasant and attentive the entire meal This place is amazing, if your not keeping this place on your to go list, your missing out!!
Great birthday dinner here! French onion was amazing- rib app was so delish- and our steaks were outstanding. Birthday boy had the blue cheese crust and I went au poivre! Cooked to perfection with great mashed and hertcovert! Totally coming back for my birthday dinner. Our server was new but outstanding. Knew what she was doing and didn’t come over a ton, just when needed. Super random but I really liked the lemonade I drank 4! Really great experience!
We came here for the first time in a long time to have dinner. I ordered the pork osso bucco and it was delicious. I would have preferred more gravey for the pork and the mashed potatoes but it was delicious and cooked very tender. I also got the creme Brulee and that was amazing and probably the best I ever had. My wife got the salmon and the Belgian waffle with ice cream that was really good. Our server Tony was very outgoing and did a really good job and made the experience really good overall.
The service was stellar. Toni was our waitress and she was awesome! To attentive and made our night special. The salmon dinner was cooked perfect! The dessert was out of this world. I had Belgian waffle with caramel with a side of ice cream fruit and whip cream . I'll be back!
Oh my goodness!!! This place was incredible!!! I ordered a teriyaki and shrimp bowl on lo mein, and it was absolutely INCREDIBLE! It's definitely pricey, so get ready to spend so dough, but it was fantastic. I lived in that area for three years, and never went. I went back for a visit and was treated out to this place. I can't believe I never went before. Absolutely loved it!!!
I loved my evening dining at the bar. The head bartender, Mark, was amazing! He made you feel welcomed by using your name with your order. He was charming and very knowledgeable about drinks. His service was impeccable. I enjoyed great conversation with him, the second bartender Guy and the friendly regulars. My meal was delicious, the filet and mushroom salad and dessert of chocolate and peanut butter cake. Thank you!!!
Exelente
Certainly one of the pricier restaurants in the small town of Montgomery but a lovely place for a large or small group. The service was good as was the food on all occasions when I have been here.
I went for the first time for my birthday. Place was family friendly. Drinks are good but are weak. Main course was excellent seafood risotto. The dessert platter was amazing I could not choose what to try.
We went here for my mothers birthday. The plates were very generous and everyone enjoyed their meals. I thought the ribs and cornbread my grandmother ordered was the best (they were nice enough to make her a dinner out of the appetizer). Our waitress Christine was very pleasant and did a wonderful job. The only negatives i saw were that it is not very handicap accessible and my grandmother had a hard time getting up the large step to the platform where our table was and there is no ramp outside to the front door. They had sooo many dessert choices...they were brought out on a platter to show us which was a nice touch, and they all looked delicious. Overall good experience
You must try the Salmon with vegetables, it's extremely delicious. The ravioli with pesto sauce... I don't know. I got upset stomach because it was tooooo oily. The restaurant is really pretty, I like it. I can't wait to come back. I do also recommend the Tuscan Meatballs 😍 It's an appetizer but they serve 3 Meatballs that it would be enough if you also order a salad. I mean you could get full with that. Hot chocolate here is also really good
My husband and I frequent this restaurant often because we truly love the food. The kitchen consistently does an amazing job, and that’s why we keep coming back. Unfortunately, our experiences at the bar have been consistently disappointing. The female bartender has been dismissive, does not acknowledge customers when they approach, and responds with noticeable attitude when asked for assistance. I initially gave the benefit of the doubt and assumed she might have been having an off day, but after three separate visits with the same behavior, it seems to be a pattern rather than a one-time issue. It creates an uncomfortable atmosphere and takes away from what is otherwise a great dining experience. We’re not the only ones who have noticed this. It’s unfortunate because the food and overall concept of this place are wonderful. I hope management addresses this, as customer service is just as important as the quality of the food.
Update We’ve been coming here for a few years and unfortunately, I believe last night’s visit will be our last. The quality of the food is just so inconsistent from visit to visit. In the past it has varied from good to phenomenal, but unfortunately the past several visits have been really pretty disappointing. It seems that the quality of the ingredients has decreased significantly, but the price is always well over a hundred dollars for two people. Last night the shrimp and scallop pappardelle pasta, a go to dish for me here, felt like something I’d get at Olive Garden but with a Manhattan fine dining price tag. They were out of the fresh pappardelle they usually serve (not noted on the menu or told when ordered) and it was replaced with what appeared to be store bought fettuccine that was all stuck together and seemed to have been precooked. The shrimp was super over cooked and the scallops tasted like they had gone bad. I am so disappointed because I truly did love this place, but it just hasn’t held up in terms of quality. Way too expensive for what it has become. Initial review I really like Ward’s bridge in. I live really close and it is a good option for a treat yourself type dinner that has a decent balance of higher end dishes and also a great burger. Their whipped garlic butter that comes with the free bread at the start is reason in and of itself to make a trip here. They have great drinks and I love how they bring around a tray with all of the desserts on it at the end so you can see before you order. As for the main dishes- we’ve never had anything that wasn’t good, but have occasionally been a bit disappointed when ordering their dishes that aren’t the more standard offerings. Their pastas, salads, burgers, steak? Fantastic. I wouldn’t recommend their Asian fusion dishes. Ward’s is a great restaurant and I will absolutely be back. If you want to go on a weekend, be sure to make a reservation. They fill up fast!
We ordered 2 glasses of cabernet before dinner the wine was very sour not good at all. I understand it was house wine and i saw the bottle she served us from it coast around $11:00 and she charged $30 + change and tips. We have house wine all the time but you should not serve wine that went bad. So we did not stayed for dinner 😐
As a local, I have been to Ward's Bridge many times over the years and have had pleasant experiences. However, my most recent visit on Valentine's Day was more than disappointing. They offered a limited menu and asked that you order your appetizer, entree, and dessert together to make it easier on the kitchen. No issues there! But I do have an issue when we don't get our waters refilled after the appetizer, and there's a 30+ minute gap between courses. We were served our entree and waited over 40 minutes without anyone coming to check on us. I eventually decided to go find our waiter, who was on his way to our table with the wrong dessert order! I asked for the dessert and the check to go. Overall, we were there for almost 3 hours, so I was a bit annoyed. It seemed there was very poor management as well, as all the other tables we saw on the second floor with us were not being served. I even saw a different waitress bring a check to a table next to us before they even got their appetizer! This experience has honestly made me question if I'll revisit going forward.
