Sushi Monster – Montrose We had a great experience at Sushi Monster in Montrose. From start to finish, everything felt relaxed, welcoming, and well taken care of. The rolls were the standout — beautifully presented, generous portions, and packed with flavor. Each roll tasted fresh and well-balanced, without being overpowered by sauces. The nigiri and sashimi were equally impressive, clearly made with quality fish and attention to detail. What really elevated the meal, though, was the attentive and friendly service. Our server was knowledgeable, checked in at the right moments, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling rushed or pushy. It made the entire experience feel genuinely enjoyable. If you’re looking for a reliable local sushi spot with excellent rolls and great service, Sushi Monster is absolutely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back. 🍣
This is our favorite spot to dine in if we are craving sushi and rolls 🍱 it’s always always always fresh, the fish is shining when they bring it in. And when I say always, I mean we dine in here once or twice a week. The staff is so friendly. We have never been disappointed and honestly haven’t liked sushi or rolls anywhere else as much as we do it at Sushi Monster. We have tried almost the entire menu and everything is so good. It’s very affordable and the atmosphere is very friendly and warm. We usually get the hot green tea 🍵 which they refill as much as you want. The green tea ice cream is great too.
It was great! Sushi was so soft and good taste, Gyoja and tempura were crispy! ☺️
Sushi Monster is so good. The sushi always tastes fresh. The service is always exceptional. It's a small restaurant, with a few tables and chairs outside. We also love their chicken udon noodles. We come back as often as we can.

i went in after they closed ( i didn’t see the sign 😭), but they were all so sweet and still let me order to go. not only was the food amazing (10/10) but i have never met such sweet and welcoming people.
We love sushi monster. the dumplings are like no other and the firecracker is absolutely amazing as well as garlic edamame. The owners are good friends with us and are nice people. service is amazing we sit down right away and order right away. the food is all so good. Definitely recommend!!
The service is fantastic. They are so attentive to your needs and very aware of what's going on. Orders go in quick and come out right when you're ready for it. Beers are cold and glasses always fresh out of the freezer. Sake perfectly warmed. Sushi fresh and for the quality you get you'd expect Beverly Hills bills, but they're so fair. I love this place and it's my wife's and my go-to for sushi in the Glendale/Burbank/Pasadena area, hell anywhere in the Valley. When they care so much about your experience that they run to pick up your dropped napkin to make sure you don't use it again and get you a fresh one you know they care. When their eyes are scanning the room to find ways to improve your comfort and experience you know it's genuine. Go and enjoy for yourself. We Love Sushi Monster.
A little bit pricey but well worth it. The salmon is always fresh tasting and buttery, both my 2- and 5-year old kids agree. Great choices and food presentation is excellent. When you were able to dine-in, the place is comfortable, if small, but you never felt too close to other patrons. For now we will just order takeout and have a sushi picnic.

Damn, this was some excellent sushi. We Ordered eight different types of roles and I enjoyed each of them. The place was busy but the staff handled the crowd with ease. They were also incredibly friendly and even gave us free Edamame because we had to wait a few extra minutes for our rolls. If you’re in this part of town, this is the place to get sushi!
We've been dinning her since it opened many years ago. The service is friendly and the food is so fresh and delicious! The Honolulu Roll is amazing... If you're looking for a more casual place to eat sushi and other Japanese cuisine this is a great spot. Yes, there are others in the area, but they are also a little pricy and offer an atmosphere that isn't as relaxing as Sushi Monster. Thanks Vickie! We love your restaurant!
We order our office lunch here a few times a month. The sushi is always fresh, the tastes are consistently good and the service is with a smile. The Spicy Salmon Crunch Roll, the Rainbow Roll, The Hot Knight Roll, Tsunami, Firecracker, all incredible! Sushi Monster rocks!

Food and service was great. Limited metered parking close by. Free parking lot a few doors down. Lunch special $24. Exceptional because the fish was fresh and tasty, nice combination with rice and salad. Can't come near as often as I would like to because it doesn't fit my budget. Closed for a few hours in the afternoon. Busy at night.

These are small portions than the single dinner beef teriyaki and salmon teriyaki dinner entree options; and do not come out on the hot sizzling platter. The sushi is about $6-7 per nigiri order (two pieces). The sushi quality is solid; but not write home amazing. Staff/service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Food: 4

I'm sorry but very basic rolls. No wow factor service was pleasant. The presentation was basic as well. The one thing that was very good and plentiful was the garlic edamame was very good.

The location is small and you're very close to your neighbor, we ordered multiple items and shared them all. Unfortunately multiple i ordered were unavailable or sold out which was huge disappointment as I kept finding out after I ordered it. Unsure if I'd come back with there being so many other options

To be completely honest this is my first and last time here. Food is very bland has no flavor at all. If you’re in the area and want to eat sushi I highly recommend zen has more flavor or a little drive down to Burbank to niko niko. Be warned no flavor it’s very bland .
Went there anticipating a great Sushi experience, but we sat and waited nearly 10 minutes and no one came to serve, greet, give us water and menu. Mind you the place only has 8 tables!! The two waitresses looked at us, looked away, fiddled with checks, etc. I've never walked out for no service before. Always a first time. We love Sushi Plus.
