Veramente tutto molto buono.
A good, hot ramen is a must-try for these days of intense heat. The service was fairly quick and very attentive. All the dishes were delicious, especially the tonkotsu ramen recommended by the chef. Not to mention the devastating negi ribu ribs, with this magnificent BBQ sauce! It's a shame about the tables near the entrance, which occasionally get a few gusts of air in the winter. Overall, a great place where I'd love to return to try other dishes!
Very nice place in the center of Monza. Very kind and professional service, as well as fast. The ramen and donburi were really good, and the wagyu gyoza were also excellent. I was a little disappointed with the pork gyoza (buta), which were still good, but a step below the rest. Very clean and welcoming place. I will definitely be back.
Excellent experience at Goraiko Izakaya in Monza! The authentic and refined atmosphere makes you feel like you're truly at a Japanese izakaya. High-quality dishes, from appetizers to ramen, are all prepared with fresh ingredients and balanced flavors. Friendly and attentive service, always available to offer advice. Highly recommended for both a dinner with friends and for anyone who wants to experience authentic Japanese cuisine. For first-timers, the ramen is highly recommended; the broth is very rich and flavorful! Highly recommended!
Beautiful, well-kept, and very welcoming place in the heart of Monza. We had two ramen dishes, the tonkotsu (first photo) and the yuzu wonton (second photo)... delicious. Next, we tried the beef bao and the fried chicken, both very good. Attentive and attentive service. Highly recommended, I'll be back :) Reservations recommended, especially on weekends.
A 10/10 experience!! The location is beautiful and intimate, with soft music, perfect for a dinner with your partner or friends; the selection of dishes is vast but not overwhelming, and the portions are generous. The appetizers are a highlight, with truly unique and authentic Japanese flavors, and the main courses are truly thoughtful and well-crafted. It's also perfect for those who want to try sake or specialty drinks. I loved everything about it and have recommended it to my family and friends!
This small Japanese restaurant offers a variety of specialties. The crab balls are delicious, as are the pork slices served over a bowl of rice—delicious and tender. Unfortunately, I don't remember the original names of the dishes, but you can't go wrong. The place isn't large, and its decor is simple, typical Japanese. Prices range from €20 to €30, depending on your order. It's nothing like a typical Chinese restaurant.
Excellent!
Nice service. Several quality options for drinks and foos
The gyoza is absolutely delicious, some of the best I've ever had. The cuisine is very authentic, and every dish truly captures the essence of Japan. What you pay is definitely worth it, considering the quality and flavors. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!
Tooooop🤙🤙👍👍
One of the most iconic Izakaya in Monza that just opened recently, they have one of the most authentic and delicious japanese Ramen that i tried, their appetizers are also very good especially their marinated ribs. They have a good selection of wine and a wonderful staff service, the owner is an ambitious and cheerful guy and i really like his spirit. A must try!!!!
Goraiko Izakaya is located in a very central area of Monza, a convenient and pleasant location. The restaurant is well-maintained and well-decorated, with an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The service is precise and attentive, although the waiters are perhaps a bit too quiet and aloof. We went primarily for the ramen, which, however, was less convincing than expected: the flavors weren't particularly intense or memorable, especially considering the price. The wide and excellent selection of appetizers, however, was decidedly better. The pork ribs were truly excellent, as was the eel donburi, well-executed and tasty. The desserts, on the other hand, were excessively sugary. Overall, an interesting restaurant, albeit with rather high prices.
A truly beautiful place, with a pleasant atmosphere (the background music is a real highlight). Very fast, attentive, and attentive service—no complaints at all. We spent about €80 for two, ordering shrimp balls (really good), two portions of Donburi (one with Wagyu beef), and a portion of pork ribs. In the end, we ordered a doggy bag because we were full. However, perhaps I was expecting more flavor. I'll definitely return and try the rest of the menu. I'll add: the fact that there are young people managing both the dining room and the kitchen is highly appreciated.
Cibo e servizio senza infamia e senza lode.
Disclaimer: I'm no expert on Japanese cuisine, but having visited several Japanese restaurants, I have to say that the flavors at Goraiko didn't impress me. The dishes are very neat and beautiful to look at, which raised my expectations. However, after dinner, I was left disappointed, even though the food was, overall, quite good. After at least a 10-minute wait, we were able to order. The appetizers arrived quickly, but my dish was brought well after my parents', who had already almost finished their meals to avoid letting their plates cool. I ordered the Unagi Don, and the rice tasted strongly of the eel BBQ sauce, which ended up being too strong and unpleasant. The ramen broth was very thick and oily, and the takoyaki still seemed raw. Maybe they're made that way and I don't know, but I expected them to be different. The dessert, a taro mousse with a raspberry center, was very bland... you could only taste the filling; everything else was tasteless. The place is nice, but the mirrors in the hallway had several fingerprints. The bathroom wasn't very clean; the ladies' room lacked soap, and the tables were cleaned very quickly. I understand that they have two-hour shifts and that everything has to be clean by 9 pm, but... they could do better. In the end, the price was €106 for three people. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't go back.
After seeing an ad on social media, I was intrigued and went with friends. Luckily, we had made a reservation because it was already full on a Friday night at 9 pm. The place overlooking the square is nice, but it's a shame that some tables, like ours, were right near the entrance, and the comings and goings of people bothered us a bit given the cold that was coming in. It must be nice to eat outside in the summer, too. The service was average, with the staff polite, smiling, and helpful. The food was my most pleasant surprise; the spicy chicken wings were the best, I could have eaten 1,000 of them, and the ramen was excellent and plentiful. It's a place I'd return to, but not often because the bill isn't cheap, but in the center of Monza, given the running costs, it's okay. Paid parking is very close, so no hassle.
Ok this place is good and has a lot of potential and can only improve. Everything was good apart from the main more expensive donburi with eel and rice. I love Japanese style eel with teriyaki and I tried many of them in the past but this one was full of tiny fish bones, a bit chewy and so thin - very hard to remove from the skin so i left half of it. I definitely don’t recommend that dish. The star of the night for me was the miso glazed aubergine. Another thing which unfortunately impacted negatively on the experience was the service. One of the waiters, was super unfriendly and almost like he was bored and couldn’t give a damn about serving people. The entire group in my table was very surprised and shocked as we greeted him with smiles and trying to make him comfortable but his behaviour and service throughout the evening was terrible. It was the same for the other tables.
They don’t have Tonkotsu Ramen anymore, I won’t go there again, if go there just for a soya soup or miso soup ramen it’s just not really worth it for me.
