Don't be fooled by the facade, El Jacalito is definitely the best diner in Morelia. Their tacos, fried in lard, are spectacular. I've been eating them since my mom was pregnant with me. I must say that every time I come to Mexico, this is my first stop. I pack 50 lomo tacos in my suitcase, put them in the freezer, and snack on them until I return to Mexico. And the people who serve there are spectacular. I recommend that you NEVER put sour cream on these tacos... please! Jacalito, I love you.

A little restaurant that's been around for ages. When I was a kid, my parents used to take me there for the only pork loin tacos in Morelia! It's been 35 years since I moved away from Morelia, and today I went back for a visit. Unfortunately, it's not the same anymore. They're too oily and there's hardly any pork loin, but the flavor is still their tradition.

The tacos were delicious!!! I ordered 10 tacos to go and they gave me very, very little lettuce and not enough salsa. For the price they charge, they shouldn't be so stingy with these details, please.

I ordered takeout, the tacos were delicious, the salsa not so great, and the service was terrible: very rude, they don't greet you when you arrive, they just say, "How many do you want? I don't have any of this." And they charge you, by the way, they're expensive. It's not a diner; they only sell tacos dorados.

The tacos dorados are delicious ($15 pesos each), simple, made to order, and include lettuce and salsa to go. The service leaves a lot to be desired. I don't know if it's because they're tired or just don't like customer service, but I had the experience that they didn't even let you finish your order and were already denying the request. They were rude and even somewhat insulting.

Starting with the fact that they are expensive at $22 each taco, the old oil that affects the flavor of the taco, they only put lettuce, excessively watered down cream, only one sauce, adding to the fact that they are INFESTED WITH COCKROACH PLAGUE, they walk on the table where you eat, I sincerely do not recommend them, they hurt us.

I ordered picadillo tacos and they tasted strongly of pork, they weren't good at all!! Besides the awful place, there were cockroaches on the table where we were eating!!! We couldn't finish our tacos. Also, the cream was super watered down and they gave you hardly any lettuce, and the salsa was tasteless and had no spice.

I don't recommend them at all. The place smells like old oil, and as soon as your tacos arrive, you know it. They recommended the chicharrón tacos, and they don't taste bad, but they're not at all what they're supposed to be. I tried the cheese and rajas, and they tasted like nothing. The salsa was the same, flavorless.
