Best tacos we've ever had! Wow. We'd heard how great this place was from a lot of local foodie people and never made the time which was a mistake. We got the el pastor tacos, asada sopres, and the coconut tres leches cake and can't wait to come back. The food is worth the pain of dealing with the neverending State St. construction and the service was excellent. My husband wouldn't stop eating long enough for me to take a photo of his tacos.
I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing, and the people behind the counter are always friendly. The tacos are among the best in the area, as are the quesadillas. Of note, they occasionally have specials which are always delicious. I've included a photo of the pork ribs, which are perfect in every way (including an amazing sauce).
Fantastic homemade tortillas to compliment the tacos. Everything I ordered here was fantastic, very reminiscent of being back in Maxico. Be prepared for a slight wait as the food is fresh and takes a little while to cook. My only complaint is more about the city's lack of parking to get here. Be prepared to park a few blocks away. I would certainly return here and recommend it to friends.
This food is AMAZING. The sopes? Freshly made to order and perfect. My partner (who is Mexican) loved them and this is the first Mexican food in a Roc that she’s been into. This is real honest authentic Mexican food. Pro tip: call ahead. They make your food fresh, so it’s not fast, but it’s 1,000% worth the wait! Al pastor was my favorite taco filling…
Be patient, people! This is authentic, hand crafted, traditional food made by a wonderful chef who puts love and and art in her dishes. Not to mention at Peach Blossom they’re kind and warm, and their food is just amazing. People writing some of these reviews are used to the fast-food and fast-paced life in the U.S. But quality and authenticity takes time. You can always order ahead if you’re in a rush :)
My first time in Rochester and I couldn't find any authentic Mexican restaurants but as soon as I walked in the people we're friendly and helpful. I was with my fiance and kids. We walked up to the second floor and sat at a booth. Everyone loved the food. To the last bite Definitely want to bring the whole family there when I return to Rochester
The food here is always on point! I love their tacos and think they are some of the best Rochester has to offer. If you come in off the street, be prepared to wait - the food is made to order and takes time to prepare. I usually call ahead to have enough time on lunch break to enjoy them.
Best Mexican food in Rochester hands down. Unbelievable quality and taste .
Incredible food! I got one of each taco and a quesadilla, everything was fantastic and the man at the counter was so friendly!
I stopped here for lunch after several recommendations. It definitely lived up to the hype. The asada tacos were delicious!
An intimate atmosphere and a short, well rounded menu with jaw dropping prices. Best Mexican I've had in a very long time.
The torta was truly one of the best sandwiches of my life! Service was so friendly. Food so authentic. I will definitely be back!!
Food was delicious! We happened to be there on a day where the special was birra tacos - I never had before and these were amazing. A portion comes with 3 and split between 2 people was plenty! Next time I would order ahead to eat or pick up as the wait can be long be definitely worth it :) Super nice people there too
First I was a little hectic but I'm now happy that I went there to eat because it's one of the best Mexican restaurants in Rochester Might say is 1in my Rochester list please don't let the name fool you please give it a chance also don't be in a rush because it takes a while for your order to come out because it's done and cook at the moment you order.
2 Small tables at ground level. Steps to 5 small tables upstairs. Seat 2 people. 3 tables can seat 4. Check Instagram for updates. Authentic flavors. Hot fresh. Home cooked. Be prepared to wait. On a hot day like today, you may prefer to wait outside. Thank you for the yummy tacos. We will be back.
The MOST authentic Mexican cuisine. All made to order, so you must be patient, but you will not be disappointed. Always come here when we visit Rochester. Very casual, friendly.
The food is awesome! Definitely worth a stop in when you want authentic Mexican food.
The food here is absolutely delicious! We tried the al pastor tacos as well as today's special (cochinita) and both were fantastic. If I had to pick one I'd say the cochinita was my favorite. However, be aware that this is a small, family-run restaurant and everything is made to order, so it does take a while for the food to be ready. It tastes great so the wait was worth it, but next time I might try calling in a takeout order.
Wow. Literally no reason to ever go anywhere else for Mexican food. I got the Asada tacos, my partner got the Pollo plate and everything was perfection. They make their own hot sauces and tortillas which just makes it even better. A wonderful, locally run gem. 10/10
Best Mexican food you'll find in Rochester, hands down. Everything is made with love and care. The food is authentic, and the people are authentic and gracious. The food is lovingly scratch made to order, so bring your patience. Trust me, it's worth the wait. Marco and his lovely mother Minerva use family recipes and are wonderfully accommodating, even for vegan and vegetarian diners. If you love Mexican food, add this place to your rotation. Rochester is lucky to have them.
I was in Rochester for a quick 24-hour trip. Found this place on Google. The reviews were amazing and the tacos looked delicious. It was even better than I could’ve imagined. Some of the best tacos I’ve had anywhere. Had it for lunch the first day and came back for lunch again the next day before my return flight. I dream of those tacos constantly. Wish this were closer to me!
Wow! What a Gem here in Rochester! Walked in and was greeted by Marco. He took the time to explain the menu and how the food is all made and prepared in house. We opted for the Sopes, and we were not disappointed! Definitely will be back next time we r in Rochester.
The food here is fantastic. It's a small family joint that is very much worth your time. The al pastor tacos were particularly good in addition to their tortas. While it may have taken a little bit of time for our order to get in, know that it was worth every minute for how good it ended up being.
What a hidden gem! The most flavorful and authentic Mexican food in Rochester. Call ahead to cut down on the wait time; everything is made fresh, from scratch and to order by mother and son. Limited hours, so I recommend ordering before 4 PM so that they don’t run out!
Overall this is a great Mexican restaurant run by a lovely mother and son team. Because it’s just two people doing everything, things take a bit of time. That said, the corn tacos, quesadillas & sopes are very well made, solid crispy without being dense. The beef & chicken tacos & beef quesadillas were the best. The chicken & veggie sopes were good too although not so big a fan of the black bean sauce & they’re difficult to eat. Looking forward to trying some of their specials sometime.
Marco and his mother are some of the kindest, most hard working folks you’ll ever meet, and they make *the best* food you will ever have, bar none. The Al Pastor is to die for. Their tortillas are unlike anything I’ve ever had before. The sopes are unbelievable. They run specials every once in a while that will blow your socks off, like the birria tacos or shrimp empanadas. Seriously, *the best* food *ever.* PLEASE have patience. They work so hard and the food is absolutely worth the wait. There is a parking lot around the corner on Exchange, put in a couple extra bucks and come hungry, or order ahead if you need to. I have seen a few people who were rude about the wait time. Don’t be one of those people. Everything comes out fresh, hot, and made to order. We love you, Peach Blossom!!!
Best tacos in Rochester!! Everyone was friendly and helpful. There are many gluten free options. And the best part, the tacos are incredible and the most authentic I’ve had in Rochester. I ordered tacos Al pastor and sopes asada. The corn tortilla are handmade, in house, and amazing!! 10/10 recommend! Parking: you will need to find street parking or one of the nearby lots. You will not be disappointed!!!
Wow. Delicious! Fresh made hot sauce was outstanding. I had one of each taco and all were excellent. I will be back.

Delicious! I got two tacos, the carne asada was my fav! Rice and beans on the side, I wanted to lick the plate. Well done, what's your secret?

The food was amazing and their tres leches was even better. I definitely recommend getting the Al pastor tacos! Definitely coming back here.
Everything was absolutely amazing from the food to the incredible service. I was here tonight and first of all the vibes were incredible such sweet and loving people I had time of my life chatting.but the food was at another level the flavors were awesome and the hot don’t even ask it was spicy and soooooo goooodd. Definitely going to be a regular here
Stopped in here for dinner. The tacos were amazing. Hot Sauce is HOT!!! Loved this place. Definitely would recommend if you want some really good Mexican food. Everything made in house.
Got 3 tacos—all were delicious but the pineapple pork one reaaaaally stole the show. Service was prompt and polite. Food was SUPER fresh and so many gluten free options (I’m allergic). Truly the best corn tortilla I have ever had. By far. Everything was made fresh and to order. Can’t say enough good about this place! Limited seating so I’d just plan for take-out if you go during a busier time!
Best tacos in the city. You'll wait a while for them and you'll smell like them when you leave but it's absolutely worth it. Order ahead if you don't want to wait. Approachable and friendly service. Al Pastor tacos are the best of them all. Parking is not the best but there are spots on the surrounding streets. Will be back again and again.
So so good, family run authentic mexican goodness. All 3 tacos are delicious but my favorite was probably the al-pastor. The chilis rellenos which were on special that day were huge and looked amazing, regret not trying it. Will return!
This is the best place for authentic tacos in Rochester, nowhere else comes close. There's no reason to get tacos anywhere else. The only gripe is that it takes 45 minutes to get 3 tacos.
Do not arrive starving, especially if you're prone to hangriness. I was not adequately prepared for the wait time and was not having positive feelings toward the place while I waited. Then, I got my food and all was forgiven. Hands down the best tacos I've had in Rochester (though the competition is not fierce). The beans are well seasoned, too, which was refreshing. Next time I'll call ahead!
Amazing Mexican food! I got the Al Pastor tacos and it was packed with meat and flavor. They somehow lightly fry their tortilla, and it’s the perfect amount of crunch, while still holding the taco together. Marco’s homemade sauce is to die for, I’ll be waiting for the day that he starts selling it. My husband had the torta, it was a massive portion, and he enjoyed every last bite. Highly recommend stopping here.
Finally had a good chance to check it out after seeing it as #2 taco spot in the D&C last year. The wait was longer than anticipated but so worth it. Everything's made fresh with great portion sizes and authentic ingredients - the salsa Verde served with my plate was incredible (if you like it spicy). The man working the counter was great as well, he was friendly and is definitely proud of the food he puts out, he insisted we try our food before we even paid to ensure we were happy. I really respect the commitment and i am looking forward to my next visit
