Opinions de SIAM Restaurant Morgan Hill
Best of the best. I wasn't a fan of this type of food until my wife dragged me to lunch, now its top 3 go-to restaurants for the family. Owner is great!
I kept seeing and hearing about this place ever since we moved Morgan Hill. So we decided to take the leap and try this place out and boy was I pleased. I'll start out by saying that the staff was very friendly and welcoming and the place was extremely clean. We were sat promptly and they even turned the heater on for us outside even though we were the only people eating outside. We ordered the Roti Penang, honey chicken, lobster and shrimp fried rice, Phad see eew with beef and we finished it off with a mango sticky rice in the shape of an endearing heart. I attached the photos of my food to this review but keep in mind I was so pleased and excited to try it I didn't get to get a picture of everything. It was a great experience I actually was genuinely suprised by the different flavors in one single dish. You could tell that they put a lot of time into their dishes because everything had it's own very unique and deeply explosive flavor. It's not just a generic Thai food place to put it simply, it's rich and fresh transformed food. At the end of our meal Randy and his wife ( the owners) came out to make sure that we enjoyed our food and to thank us for our business. To me this speaks volumes. Anytime you have an owner Coming by your table to make sure you're happy with the food and service always hits a homerun with me. It's people like this that keep their restaurants and businesses flourishing. He really put the cherry on the top for being so personable and made the experience that much greater. I will definitely be coming back to this place whether it's takeout or even just a romantic evening out.
Stopped by for dinner and food was delicious. Portions were generous and ingredients were fresh. Second time here and was not disappointed. Service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant itself is decorated tastefully and gave off a fun atmosphere. We ordered the pad Thai, pad see ew, and tom yum fried rice. Pad Thai and pad see ew were made well with tasty ingredients. The size of our plate was large and could have easily fed 2 people per portion. The tom yum fried rice was so delicious, we couldn’t get enough. I highly recommend if you’re in the mood for some Thai food.
Great little place! This was our second visit, and it was entirely a different experience in the daylight. We had no idea there was outdoor seating. The patio was absolutely lovely, and the food as delicious as before. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. I also appreciate the clean bathroom. 😉
It's always nice to support a local small business and this restaurant does not disappoint. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife , they take great pride in their work. We enjoyed the sweet potato appetizer along with the luncheon special Pad Thai with beef, chicken cashew, ginger basa they were all delicious and freshly made! The brownie and ice cream was delicious! The service was outstanding. We need to go back soon. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
The food and service was excellent. Amongst the best Thai food we have ever had! The roti panang appetizer was great. The panang felt a bit watery at first sight, but was extremely tasty. The entrees like veg fried rice and the owners favorite were top notch. The desserts , mango sticky rice, Thai pancake and fried banana, all 3 were super hits. And really great presentation. See attached photos 5/5 ratings definitely!
I visited today in 6/3/2021. I had an amazing dining experience! The outside patio is beautiful, bright, sunny, open and clean. The restaurant is actually an old/quint house. The service is superior and the owners know their customers by name. There is also a parking lot located in the rear. The sauces are rich, flavorful and tasty. The steak, the curry and chicken fried rice are fab starters. Located on a main but quiet drag downtown. Nice wine selection too! Excellent service and friendly environment! I'm going back as soon as I lose 20 lbs! 😋🏅🏆🎉🎊
Great family owned and operated Authentic Thai food. Greeted and warmly hosted by owners and waited on by #2 son, Ryan. Food was delicious and generous which means we can have more tomorrow. Mango sticky rice was super fresh and delicious. Would rush back next week if we lived nearby but will have to wait 12 months for my annual business visit.
Food was amazing. Environment was amazing and the people made you feel comfortable like family highly recommend.

super tasty food. not too sweet, very well balanced flavors. roti panang, panang curry, and pad see ewe were all delicious.
Excellent, authentic Thai cuisine with an ambience to match. The soup and spring rolls we had for a mid day snack were delicious and well presented. The ambience is rich with genuine Thai artifacts.
Amazing dining experience. Beautiful outdoor seating, very attentive efficient staff, and the food OMG the food was incredible. Definitely returning! Do yourself a favor and go have a great time with incredibly delicious food, serene outdoor seating, reasonable prices and friendly people to wait on you. Inside tip: don’t miss the mango sticky rice when in season. The presentation alone is worth it. Bravo! Siam Thai. 5 stars all around.
I can't say enough about how wonderful my experience was eating here, and I'm a big foodie and a cook and have pretty high standards. Every single thing we tried, 2 apps and 5 dishes plus the coconut rice were absolutely fabulous, like seriously fantastic! And with all the that, the best part of the whole thing for me was that most of their menu items were gluten free, and you'd never had known it! I haven't had pot stickers in over 10 years and they were excellent! Crispy, super yummy. I had to ask twice, 'these are gluten free?!' They had a battered & fried white dish in a slightly spicy sauce w green beans and red bell peppers that was to die for! I don't live super close, but the almost half hour drive will be worth it to go back here soon as I can. We sat out in the garden seating which was also lovely with lots of plants and a bubbling fountain. Our service was great, friendly, timely and all around pleasant. Highest recommendations for Siam Thai! Well done you all!! See you again soon!
My wife and I had a delicious dinner at the Siam Thai Restaurant this evening. The service and food were excellent. Ray Romano (owner) was an excellent host and it was a pleasure meeting him. If you're thinking about something a little different from the normal "bill of fare", consider the Siam Thai Restaurant. I don't think you'll be disappointed whatsoever!
Rating: ★★★★★ We had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Siam Thai! From the moment we walked in, Ray was a fantastic host—welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home in Oregon Hill. The food was easily some of the best Thai we’ve ever had. A few highlights: * Yellow Curry: Rich, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. * Chicken Cashew: Savory and packed with flavor. * Green Bean Tofu Dish: This was truly to die for! The texture and seasoning were spot on. * Mango Sticky Rice: An amazing and delicious way to end the meal; the mango was perfectly ripe and sweet. If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit. We will definitely be back soon!
The food at Siam Thai is fresh, delicious and authentic. The restaurant setting is very cozy and you get a nice homey vibe. Food is served quick, spice levels are in spot and customizable. They add good amount of protein and veggies in every order for the price they charge. Curries are super and they don’t add a ton of coconut milk unlike some thai places.
Went there with family for dinner. Food was great overall. We order chefs specials mostly and they are all great. Some of my family members really liked the Tom Kha soup. Thai tea was not the best but it’s still ok. Owner dropped by our desk to check on us and we had a nice chat. Service was great as well.

A great little place to visit! It's a small restaurant, so it can get crowded, but it's beautifully decorated, and the ambiance is charming. They're really friendly, and take the time to get to know their regular guests and their orders! It's a well-known jewel of Morgan Hill and locals have been enjoying their food for many years!
I traveled to Thailand many times and I have visited many Thai restaurants in the Bay Area -- , this may be one of the best! The owners are genuine, the service is quick and the food is superb.
The service and food were good. Tasty and freshly mild. Choosing medium didn’t seem spicy enough for me. The food came pretty fast and it’s a good place to eat and enjoy the company with someone. Vast menu options so thinking about returning to try other items.
Really good Thai food in Morgan Hill! We liked the calamari and Papaya salad for appetizers. The duck curry was excellent. However, the Pad Thai was not to our taste and didn't see authentic compared to what we have eaten in Thailand.

The fried tofu, papaya salad and mango sticky rice were fine. The chicken pad see ewe was unbelievably bland. The noodles were tasteless and absolutely “mushy”. The chicken had no flavor, almost tasting as if it had been boiled. Two small pieces of broccoli in the entire entree. Our server checked in with us once, toward the end of our meal.
Roti panang was really good. Roti was very flaky and had the right amount of crip to it. Panang curry was pretty good. Musamman Curry didn't have as strong of a peanut flavor as I expected, so I liked it, but some pieces of meat were undercooked. Thai tea was okay. We went there on a Sunday and the place was busy.
Siam Thai Restaurant in the Morgan Hill area offers a decent experience, though there are a few dishes that didn’t quite impress. Drunken Noodles: The Drunken Noodles were pretty disappointing. The dish lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting and felt somewhat bland. The noodles were a bit too chewy, and the overall combination didn’t live up to the hype. I wouldn’t recommend this dish if you’re looking for something flavorful. Panang Curry: On the other hand, the Panang Curry was much better. It had a decent flavor, and it paired really well with rice. The curry itself was rich and savory, with just the right amount of spice. If you’re going to Siam Thai, I’d definitely recommend ordering the curries over the noodles. Service: The service was good. The staff were accommodating and attentive, making sure our needs were met throughout the meal. They were friendly and helped make the experience a bit more enjoyable. Ambience: The ambience was pleasant overall. The restaurant has a nice, comfortable vibe, and the outdoor patio area is particularly pleasing to the eyes. It’s a relaxing spot to enjoy a meal, especially on a nice day when you can sit outside. Overall, Siam Thai Restaurant is a decent option in Morgan Hill, with the curries standing out as the highlight of the menu. The service and ambience are good, but some dishes, like the Drunken Noodles, could use some improvement.

Servers were nice but the food was bland. Angry chicken is anything but angry. It is more like the Ned Flanders of Thai food. The chicken had no flavor to it....almost as if it were boiled. I really thought there would be some spice to the house sauce at a Thai place but honestly, it just tastes like the butter juice the veggies were cooked in. Next time we will just go to San Jose to find a more authentic place.
Siam Beef- Flavor was ok but the whole dish was watery and the slices of beef were tough. Chicken pad thai- flavor is bland and doesn't taste like pad thai. The noodles were mush and over cooked. There wasn't much ingredients but heck of a lot of noodles. If I wanted boiled hard pieces of beef I would do it myself and the pad thai is like mash flop turn. It certainly is not for 28bucks after taxes. What a turdful experience.
I tried this place for some Asian-inspired dishes and had a mixed experience overall. The food was inconsistent—some parts were great, others fell short. The highlight was definitely the egg rolls: they tasted fresh, crispy, and well-made—really delicious and one of the best I’ve had recently. The boba and Thai green tea were also spot-on—refreshing, flavorful, and just what I wanted, not overly sweet! Unfortunately, the main dishes disappointed. The chicken was dry and had a strange seafood-like taste even though there was no seafood in the meal (maybe cross-contamination or seasoning issue?). The tofu was extremely dry and lacked moisture. The noodles were overcooked and super sticky/clumpy, which made them hard to enjoy. Also, the dishes were supposed to include green onions, bean sprouts, and carrots, but none of those were present at all—felt like key ingredients were missing. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and helpful, which made the visit pleasant. Parking was easy to find, tables were available right away, and the wait wasn’t long. The interior is okay but feels dated—like time stopped here a while ago and could use a refresh. Prices felt on the high side , I would prefer smaller portion a bit less expensive. I’d probably come back for the egg rolls, drinks, and service, but I’d be cautious ordering the noodle/chicken/tofu dishes again.
So we went here for thr first time tonight. Ordered Pad Thai and per reading the menu, my understanding was that the Pad Thai came with Chicken, beef and pork and it says add prawns 3.00. So I assumed 3.00 more added prawns. Got a soup and the sweet potatoes. Got the order home and found only prawns. Called them and the first lady I spoke to said, ok on the ticket it says only prawns, which we found 4 shrimp size in the pad thai. She said ok the order must have been taken wrong, we misunderstood. So we decided I would go in the next day and try again. Then the lady who took my order got on the phone and said " oh the pad thai comes with only 1 meat." Thank you for your understanding. I got off the phone shocked ! I just paid 43.00 plus left a 5.00 tip for a simple to go order to get home and be disappointed and then told the waitress was correct by the waitress. So we went to eat the soup, my other half then promptly found a hair in. Sorry man! You lost us? And I didn't even try the soup! What a freakin RIP off!!!! At least the sweet potatoes were edible! So after finding the hair in my soup. I called and asked for the gentleman who took my payment. His name is Ray and he is the owner. I told him what happened. He lectured me about the cost of making the food and that for a replacement, I would need to drive back and take it back to him. Then he also lectured me on pad thai being an "or" item. Beef or chicken or pork or prawns, even though his menu said add prawns 3.00. I told Ray I felt that he was lecturing me and said " oh no! I haven't begun that yet." I politely advised him that I would not be returning to his restaurant and wished him well in the 43.00 of wasted food helping him. He promptly hung up on me. If you want customer service, DO NOT go to Ray's Thai place. It sucks.
Lowest tier of Thai food out here in California, food was absolutely meh, lot of turmeric in the fried rice, couldn't taste anything else, Rice is not included and is additional charge for red curry etc, it's pretty expensive and definitely not worth the price. NO AC either, so it's pretty hot inside WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
This was the worst “Thai” food I have ever had! About 10 years ago I ate at Siam Morgan Hill and it was good. It is definitely not the same food! The Pad Thai was stuck together like glue and shaped as the to go container. The Pineapple Rice was horrible and super yellow I have never had pineapple fried rice like it. The “Crab”Rangoon was mainly all cream cheese barely any imitation crab. For the $64 I spent it was not worth it, this place is more like fast food. Don’t recommend it.

We ordered pad see ew with beef. While the flavor was good, the meat was disgusting. I don’t know if it was just over tenderized, but the beef was literally mush. It was the most nasty texture you could imagine a steak would have. It was almost like chewing raw ground beef. But mind you, this was a cooked piece of sliced beef. Just complete mush. I could roll it into a ball. I will never order from here again. Disgusting.
