One of 3 places to visit while visiting the Embarcadero in Morro Bay. (The other 2 are the Shell Shop, & Wavelengths Surf Shop). The Garden Gallery is divided into two separate buildings. One housing rare and unique succulents, and Asian statuary and plants, pottery, and fountains. The other a gallery of gifts, art, and unusual items in a maze of rooms each scented with candle and floral aromas.

Such a beautiful calming place with so many plant, Gift, and decor options. Love it!!

This is our favorite nursery away from home. We've been coming here for years, consistently great selection of both common and more unusual succulents. They also have a great selections of planter pots, empty and pre-planted. We met and had a great conversation with the owner on this last visit. Highly, highly recommended!

The Gallery has been a fav experience for all of my family for as long as it’s been open and we’ve been visiting MB. A must stop to experience the beautiful decor options, get ideas, make purchases and also relax. Recently I made a purchase of a large mirror. When I got it home, it was too big for the intended space. Even though I was beyond their exchange-return policy, I called and they said they’d be happy to exchange for store credit. When I arrived 3 months later they fulfilled their promise with great customer service attitude. Thank you! The Gallery team demonstrated what customer service is about.

The most charming garden store there ever was. Beautifully curated goods and plants, of course. A central coast gem!

This place is so gorgeous. Every single corner of it is manicured. The plants are high quality, but the experience of walking through is worth it by itself. Lots of clever statues. I wish I lived closer to this place.

Tonight was my first night at The Dutchie, and it was a great experience! I sat at the bar while I was waiting to meet some friends. The bartender Hector was extremely friendly and welcoming. He helped me choose my drinks for the evening and gave some tips when I had questions about the different options. Everything I had was delicious. I definitely plan to come back. Really great service!

The steamed clams were amazing and so were the gambas Al ajillo. I had a great time hanging out and looking out at the water has such a great view. I watched other people thoroughly enjoy the food and these ladies had the seafood tower I one day want to try lol. I would love to come back and try more things.

Did not get a chance to eat. We had just ate at another restaurant. Stopped by for a few adult beverages. 805 draft beers and a couple glasses of wine. Wonderful place to hang out and chill. Staff are really friendly and professional. Really nice place which we could have tried the food looked delightful.

My fiance and I went to Duchman's for the first time two weeks ago and we've been talking about since. This was one of our favorite dining experience. The food was fast, fresh and delicious. The service, Sam and Eric were amazing. We are on our way back to Morro Bay now to celebrate my fiance's birthday and we might end up doing lunch and dinner at Dutchman's.

We have come here for about 10 years, as part of our family vacation tradition. We enjoy the view from our tables, along with our cocktails, steaks, and seafood---SOOOO GOOD! My teens loved their salmon plate and very lightly breaded fish/chips platter with garlic fries. The shrimps are always so plump and tasty. Best yet, plenty of adult beverages to choose from, and very reasonably priced! Lastly, the service was great, which added to the whole great experience. This is why we come back every year!

Really good restaurant. We have Crab cake, Mai tai and Cioppino yesterday. All those are delicious. Today we have Oyster and Salmon are very good. Local Rock Cod is ok, but the fish is really fresh. Cook tail I have Mai Tai and Bloody Mary, I prefer Mai Tai, Bloody Mary is more suitable for lady. And our servicer name is Taylor, he’s really friendly. If you can’t decide what to eat, you can always ask him. And this restaurant is near sea, you can saw inland sea and Morro Rock at the window.

Our server Max was honestly one of the best servers we've had. He kept checking on us refilling our drinks just very attentive. Definitely impressed and will be coming back on our next visit. Oh yeah and get the garlic fries!!! So amazing.

Dutchmans was a treat. My food was delicious, very fresh and full of flavor. I also ordered a delicious cocktail from the bar. My group was lucky enough to get a window seat with a beautiful view of Morro Rock. Our server was on point and arrived quickly and checked on us often.

Really great experience! The window view was nice, really set the mood for our evening. Our waitress was on it, from cocktails to dessert. The clam chowder was good & my New York was amazing, paired well with the asparagus & mashed potatoes. Washed all of that down with a Bulleit Rye Old Fashioned. Our waitress talked us into ordering the flourless chocolate cake & I'm glad we did, that slice was AMAZING, the cream & mixed fruit (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries & raspberries) that it was served with was absolutely delicious! We will definitely make this our go-to when visiting Morro Bay.

The restaurant was in a great spot to view the Morro Rock. The food was exceptional as well as the presentation. The service was great, we were greeted by our waitress Vanessa, she was very nice ,friendly and pleasant. ❤️🙏😊 We ordered some fried calamari, it was delicious. Margarita was tasty and a beer. For main course ordered Snapper fish witch came with side of rice pilaf and fresh veggies( it was cooked to perfection). Dinner plate came with side of clam chowder soup or salad. Everything was exceptional. Thank you and hopefully next time we are in the area will be back again. 😊❤️

Update: the selection has thinned out some. The employees are still nice, but it seemed like there were fewer of them. Still worth visiting, but not as good as it used to be. I always spend a lot of time here. Must visit every time in town. Visited again this Fall and the staff went above and beyond to help my wife find what she was looking for. Excellent service, and always great items to peruse. Well worth the visit, always.

We stopped in for the clam chowder. I wasn’t too hungry so I ended up getting the kids fish and chips (which was plentiful for a kids meal). My friend got the clam chowder but added fresh crab on top. I am not a fan of clam chowder (chowder without clams isn’t an option LOL), however I took a bit with the crab and it was absolutely delicious! Our waitress was super nice … however we were being rushed as they were getting ready for the dinner shift. It’s kind of annoying when the busboys are eyeballing you rushing you to finish. This is the reason I removed a star. I would go back. The fish and chips were a little greasy, but I would give it another try. But, definitely try the clam chowder with the crab on top.

We were vacationing in Morro Bay like we do every year. I decided to walk through the store with my husband and 2 year old child. We were there shortly after they opened. There is a child area where they sell books and other children’s toys. My son touched a riding car that was sitting on the ground with stuffed animals in it. I heard a lady say to my son “ oh no that is not for kids to ride in”. I never saw her face which made me think she was watching from behind somewhere. I looked at my child and realized he was simply touching the car only. I thought that was so odd and felt like we were being watched. The mysterious voice never even asked if we needed help finding anything. As we walked through the rest of the place I saw employees but was only given glares and no one asked if we needed anything or greeted us. I had picked out a string of hearts plant but decided that I didn’t want to spend money on a place with such poor customer service. I understand this review doesn’t affect the quality of plants but good customer service is essential and we felt very unwelcome.

TLDR: good drinks and view. food mediocre and overpriced. The clam chowder is very bacony (cheating), and lacking in depth of flavor. The fry is all wrong on the fish and chips leaving the interior fish very greasy, the outside pale, and the breading coming apart like a wet paper bag. The calamari is fresh, but also did not benefit from the fry. The blackened cod was very good, but minimal effort was put into the sides (rice/normandy veggies). Drinks were solid, esp. the old-fashioned. Fish and chips definitely the biggest disappointment.

I got the burger because the last time I was there for drinks only the bartender said the burger was really good. Well I ordered it and I wasn't asked how I like it done. That's the first red flag. When I received it, it was burt to a crisp. The menu said it was 1/2 lb. This was about 1/4 lb. I think the cook literally forgot about it while cooking it. The fries were good though and my bartender was friendly.

The clam chowder 🤮. It was thick, no flavor, and had too much sand. They did not wash the clams properly. My martini had too much hard ice chips and watered down with little alcohol. The fish tacos came out hot but no flavor and fake avocado sauce. the black beans were dump from a can no flavor and too watery.

The view is great BUT the food is below average. The fish was frozen and had batter with no seasoning. The shrimp had same batter and no flavor. The onions rings tasted pretty good. We didn’t enjoy our food and we all agreed it was below average. The price is above average; $110 for 3 people… I highly recommend finding another restaurant if you enjoy very good food. I was a little disappointed as we read previous reviews.
