Great! Pisces Rising is worth it. Chefs, Ellis our waiter, and waterfront ambiance were all fantastic. They recommended Shrimp and Grits, Mushroom Ravioli, and Ceasar Salad which were all delicious and filling. We will return again. P.S. - Who is the Richy guy? 😄

First time here and meet an friend for a dinner date. Beautiful location and view of the lake. Food was excellent. Service was good and really just liked the whole vibe of the restaurant. Highly recommend

Pisces Rising has without a doubt the best location for dining in Mount Dora. We enjoyed an excellent dinner on the terrace facing the lake, which made the evening truly special. The food was delicious, we had the paella, and it was outstanding. Service was very good, attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere relaxing and elegant at the same time. There’s also a nice bar option in the back, plus both indoor and outdoor dining, making it a versatile choice for any occasion.

One of our favorite restaurants in Mount Dora. Looking for a beautiful view of the sunset over the lake? This is the place. Food is great as is the service. Great Happy Hour too!!

Last Sunday, Pisces Rising catered my daughter’s wedding at Club Lake in Apopka. Even though it was pouring rain, Chris and all of his staff did a fantastic job. We had guests tell us that they have been to many weddings, but this was by far the best food they had ever had. Chris made sure there were snacks for the bride and groom after the service and before the reception, had plates ready so the bride and groom did not have to leave their table and even prepared two additional plates for two elderly guests who had trouble walking. The service Pisces Rising was absolutely fantastic

Great location, inside reminds me of an older style clubhouse, refined but casual Outside is casual relaxed with a beautiful view. I recommend making a reservation, they can be very busy. Excellent food, quality service and a nice variety of beer and spirits.

So good, we came here TWICE in one weekend! Came because it was on the "Best of 2025" list. We lucked out at 6:30 pm on a Friday and walked right in without a reservation. Our server was absolutely lovely and we LOVED our dinners. Recommend the Dora Canal cocktail, shrimp and grits, and the skirt steak. Both dishes had leftovers to take home. On our return trip, we visited the bar and listened to a great band play the town's namesake song. The noise level outside at the bar was perfect - still able to talk without yelling despite the band playing. One of the few restaurants that have a water view, and loved our visits! 100% recommend!

Food. Atmosphere. Nothing better than Pisces! Food is always on point. You may wait a little but well worth it! DELISH!

Wow beautiful presentations of the deserts!!! We ordered the blueberry cheesecake🫐, Creme brûlée🍮 as well as the chocolate cherry cake🍒…..and let me tell you they tasted AMAZING! Not only was the way they looked aesthetically pleasing, but they tasted phenomenal! Angela was amazing and super kind. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful sky view😍

I can’t share on the food at this beautiful restaurant because we caught them in a gap time, between lunch and dinner. We did take the opportunity to have a drink though, and we have to come back for a meal. The scenery of the lake, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the whole vibe of the place; just love it. Pisces Rising is on the short list! We came from the Gulf Coast but worth the drive.

One of my new favorite restaurants in the Orlando area! The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was beautiful. Hanna was a fantastic server and gave us excellent recommendations. We will definitely be back! Be sure to make a reservation or put your name in early, our wait time was just under 2 hours on a Saturday evening - but totally worth it!!

Whata beautiful location! It has a wonderful lake view, a gorgeous inside seating area and a very airy and fun outdoor seating and bar area. The food was VERY good and the staff was wonderful. Its thr perfect package for a great meal in downtown Mt. Dora.

We had an excellent dining experience at Pisces Rising in Mount Dora. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with beautiful views that really set the tone for a relaxing evening. The food was outstanding—fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor from start to finish. What truly made the experience exceptional was the service. Jackie and Cheyanne were absolutely fantastic—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without ever being overbearing. They made sure everything was perfect and were genuinely pleasant to interact with, which made the night even more enjoyable. If you’re in Mount Dora and looking for great food paired with top-notch service, Pisces Rising is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back.

Sunday, just before noon. Outside with view to lake, nice setting. Live music was at enjoyable listening volume. Coban spring roles and flatbeadl appetizers start day in mt.dora. (recommended by locals!) enjoyed thouroughly!

We recently moved to Mount Dora and have been trying some of the restaurants. Pisces Risings is absolutely incredible and quickly became one of our favorites. We’ve already been back three times. We have had Kaley as our waitress every time and she is amazing!! She has taken the best care of us and has made our experience incredible! Everything about this restaurant is amazing and I highly recommend it.

Friends and I enjoyed our outdoor dining experience in every way. Richie, our server, was informative and friendly, and the food was delicious! A few of us ordered from the mocktail menu and were thrilled with the combinations of flavors.

Turned out to be a good idea that we arrived a bit earlier than our 2 o’clock reservation because the restaurant got quite crowded, since it was a really lovely day and everyone was out and strolling around Mount Dora, a great thing to do in Mount Dora. This means, of course that the road nearest the restaurant was blocked off and that there is very little parking to be found, so arrive early if you can. Our server, Jackie was very friendly and smiling and very helpful. The food was quite slow in coming out, due to the big crowd, but we enjoyed talking to one another while we waited… a very pleasant day and a nice experience. Ask for Jackie if you go. One other note that’s important is that the kitchen is closed between 3and 5 o’clock while they have a break before dinner service begins.

Visited Mount Dora today with my sister and wanted to eat by the water. We shared foccia, seared tuna, and crab cakes. The food was delicious, service was great and the price wasn’t crazy. Highly recommend!

6pm seat outside sun going down over the lake. Cold cocktails and a filet. Trust me you'll enjoy every bit of your dinner here. Also Richie is an A1 waiter. Completely on point and ready with great recommendations.

The food was amazing. We loved the shrimp and grits. My steak was cooked to perfection. The asparagus was tinder but still had a crunch. The service was exceptional. It was worth the price.

Pisces Rising catering and Chris Marsha made our wedding unforgettable! From the food tasting, which was phenomenal from start to finish, to our actual wedding night, Chris’s warmth, attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism were unmatched. The food was superb beyond words- our guests continued to rave about it even after the wedding was over! But Chris’s caring and loving manner throughout the entire process was truly a gift. He made us feel so special and valued, as though our wedding was as important to him as to us. He is truly someone you want to stay friends with after! And they even packaged up our leftovers so beautifully, which we were able to take on our honeymoon (prime rib by a fire in a cabin in NC!!). Just finished celebrating my wife’s birthday at Pisces Rising. The table we were assigned was fabulous. Overlooking the lake at sunset. OMG! My wife ordered mushroom ravioli. My guess it was homemade by a chef right out of Italy. I ordered the scallops, an item off the ‘Today’s Specials’ menu. Scallops were perfectly prepared and served on a bed of wild rice which had the best flavor. The manager on duty, a dark curly haired female, was more than accommodating. The waiter was a man named Chris . He provided excellent service and knew just when to come by and check on us. The restaurant was busy but you would never have known it by the phenomenal service we received. After leaving the restaurant, Both my wife and I said to each other, that when we return to Mount Dora we will definitely return to Pisces Rising. Kudo’s to everyone at Pisces Rising who played a part in making my wife’s birthday dinner one she will never forget. Thank You.

We had such a beautiful lunch at Pisces Rising with my family! The atmosphere was absolutely perfect — relaxed, welcoming, and with such a lovely vibe that made our family time feel even more special. But what truly made our experience outstanding was our waitress, Hanna. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. From the moment she greeted us, she made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. She checked on us at just the right times, made great recommendations, and had such a sweet and professional attitude. You can tell she truly cares about her guests. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented — everything exceeded our expectations. Between the amazing vibe, great food, and Hanna’s exceptional service, it was a perfect family lunch. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend asking for Hanna — she made our day extra special.

Her service was excellent and the food was excellent too! We enjoyed the calamari’s appetizer to start. Our meal of scallops was delicious. We cannot say enough amazing things about Pisces Rising Catering. From the very first tasting, they set the bar extremely high—no other vendor tasting even came close. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was outstanding, and the attention to detail was unmatched. It was honestly so hard to choose from their incredible selection of dishes because everything was that good. On the wedding day, the food was just as amazing as it was at the tasting, if not better. We received tons of compliments from our guests about how great everything tasted, which meant so much to us. Chris was an incredible coordinator to work with. His attention to detail, positive attitude, and professionalism made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. He truly brought our vision to life and was a key part of making our wedding day feel so seamless and stress-free. Everything here was amazing. My fiancé and I have been to many restaurants but the service here was the best ever. Mark was amazing. He was personable, gave great recommendations, and made our experience amazing. Everything we tried tasted perfect, and he really went above and beyond by making sure my steak was perfect. If I come back, I know who I’ll be asking for!

Wife and I went by for a quick bite and drink. We sat outside on the patio. Great View, atmosphere, and service. Ellis was our server, WOW what an awesome job Ellis did. He was very attentive, accommodating, suggestive, and always checked on us. Awesome job Ellis! Food was great and the drinks spot on. Definitely deserving of 5 stars. :)

Mark was truly amazing! My financé and I go out to eat all the time and have never seen service like this before! Truly made our Valentine’s Day perfect. Went above and beyond in every aspect. Drink, food and dessert recommendations were spot on. When we come back we know who we’ll be requesting.

This is in regard to the catering. Pieces Rising was an incredible choice for our wedding catering. The food was absolutely delicious, and we received so many compliments from our guests throughout the night. The chicken piccata was a standout perfectly cooked and full of flavor and the brisket egg roll apps were a huge hit. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and served, making the entire dining experience feel elevated and memorable. We couldn’t have been happier with Pieces Rising and would highly recommend them to any couple looking for amazing food that guests will truly remember.

Perfect 76th b'day celebration at PR starting with Cheyenne, the hostess with the mostest, who seated us at a great table overlooking the lake. Our server, Mark, was so much fun. The Brisket & Biscuit, Caesar Salad and Fried Okra are THE best we've ever had (and we're from St. Augustine which is a foodie town)!! Mark surprised me with a fab Creme Brulee for dessert. Many thanks to a wonderful establishment for making my day! 🩷

My wife and I dined here on August 12, 2025 while visiting Mount Dora in conjunction with a nearby camping trip to Kelly Park in nearby Apopka. Prior to our trip, we had read the good reviews about this place, so we decided to check it out. Unfortunately we neglected to make a reservation, but we walked in about 5:15 pm thinking we could get a window-side table, but unfortunately those had all been reserved by other diners, who all showed up at around 6:00 pm. The restaurant looks like it used to be a large house or inn, and it sits up on the side of a hill overlooking the small Mount Dora Yacht Club and beautiful Lake Dora. It has a large wood deck with tables outside, an outside bar that seats about 25, and an inside elevated bar that seats about 20, and large inside dining room with about 20 tables. We were seated in a back corner below the bar, but still had a decent view of the lake. Our server was very professional, polite and prompt. My wife had the Wedge Salad and I had the Seafood Paella (a specialty here) and both of our meals were delicious. If you are visiting Mount Dora, Tavares, or Leesburg, this place is one of the top restaurants in the area and definitely worth a visit to for casual, but upscale dining. I would definitely recommend you make a reservation, particularly if you are planning to dine here anytime during the busy fall and winter months when tourists and snowbirds abound. We were there in mid-August and it was still quite busy with local residents by the time we finished dinner at 7:30 pm. It certainly has the best water view of any other restaurant in Mount Dora.

It was a chilly evening so we decided to dine outside and appreciated that the free standing heaters were on. Service was fine but we were server our appetizer without receiving flatware and napkins. We had a few appetizers and we're disappointed that our soup and plates weren't very hot at all. The sunset view was nice.

We called for a reservation, was told outside seating is first come first serve. We went but were told it was a 45 min wait even though there were 3-5 empty tables outside the whole time we were there (we had to sit by the bar) I took pictures. There was nobody waiting on those tables and the person in front of me was seated in 5 min. I took pictures of the empty tables. You almost lost revenue from us and who knows how many others by your reception not filing those tables

This was the hot spot 15 years ago. They have taken a fast decline over the years. The food that was once phenominal is absolutely horrible. There isn't one bartender that makes a drink recipe the same as another. I had a mojito the last time I was there that almost made me vomit. The time before the same drink was very good as an example. Also I have been when bartenders changed shifts. Drinks completly changed at shift change. AKA NO MANAGEMENT / NO LEADERSHIP / BAD BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. So don't believe the great publicity! YES they use to be great. NO they aren't any longer. Its a shame! Poor management and greed has won at the customers expense. Don't support this place. The Puke Bowl says it all. The worst, cheapest fish with 90% rice for $25 I believe? Close to it. I got sick it was so bad! At this point when they take money for what they serve it is criminal! They are robbing you without having a gun pointed at you. Hopefully Chapter 11 soon so someone that has pride can put something nice at this great location!!! Beware stay away meanwhile!!! Replying to Joshua the NEW owner thats responsible for the failure is pointless. He is certainly no Annie Winters! When she owned it I had NOTHING BUT GREAT FEEDBACK! Joshua shouldn't own a Chucky Cheese. Enjoy Chapter 11!
