What a lovely dinner!! The clams & oysters were so fresh and so fun to try one of each! Kelsey steered us in the right direction with each recommendation! You can’t pass up on the empanadas!! The short rib & fluke made our taste buds dance and they were calling me a teddy bear on my way out because I was stuffed from shoveling every last bite of the tagliatelle in my mouth. Make yourself some time to stop by Oyster Club while you’re in Mystic! You won’t be disappointed!
Excellent—a must-try restaurant. I was truly blown away by the seamless blend of food and service here. We visited for dinner during a day trip to Mystic. Knowing how popular the downtown area gets, we arrived just before their 4:00 PM opening to secure a table for our family of five plus a baby. Even without a reservation, the staff was remarkably hospitable. Our waitress was a standout—she helped us navigate the menu with ease and was so friendly and interactive with our little one! As for the food: a home run on every single dish. Since we arrived early, we were able to enjoy both the happy hour and regular menus. The oysters were exceptionally fresh, and the mussels in coconut broth were phenomenal. Don’t skip the cornbread, either! The real surprises were the beets (the herb and labneh combination was divine) and the beef empanadas, which were packed with flavor and paired perfectly with the aioli. For my main, I had the burger; the "umami" mayo was the star of the show and tied everything together beautifully. The fries were also great. The rest of the table loved their meals too, from the duck pappardelle to the steak frites. Overall, a delicious meal served with top-tier service in a beautiful setting. If you are in Mystic, this is a MUST try!
We had an incredible experience at The Oyster Club! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the service was top-notch. Huge shoutout to Zachary M.—his service was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and full of excellent food recommendations that did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We were so satisfied with our meal that, unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert… but that just gives us the perfect excuse to come back! Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves great seafood and equally great service. Can’t wait for our next visit! #datenightdoneright This review was originally posted 8 days ago. I saw this place on TikTok and wanted to give it a try and it definitely did not disappoint. We were sat on the bar side right in front of the cooks which I actually enjoyed! I ordered Oysters and Will the person that was chucking the oyster gave us a presentation and a demonstration on everything which I truly enjoy. Shout to Will for that. Colleen. She was an exceptional waitress! She handled everything with professionalism and integrity and I truly appreciate that. She was so sweet and caring she made the experience worth giving this place a try. If you’re ever in the area. Please give this place a try. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you so much!!
This was kind of a last minute thing because a friend heard we were in this area and recommended it. It was about an hour before they closed, so there was no wait for the two of us. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Someone else in the reviews mentioned that there’s street parking (very little, don’t rely on finding any) and there’s also a public lot about a block away (short walk slightly uphill to the restaurant). The restaurant validates an hour, which turned out to be a $5 credit, we stayed a little over an hour and a half and ended up paying like $10 still if I remember correctly. My husband and I are NOT seafood people, which makes this restaurant an unusual choice for us. They do have non-seafood options but we both had a fairly heavy lunch so decided to try their fish dishes. The native catch that day was swordfish which my husband got, and I had the monkfish katsu (don’t look up what a monkfish looks like if you don’t already know 😅). Both were absolutely delicious. Dessert was an almond brown butter cake that was to die for. I’d love to return to try their other menu items someday.
The place is bigger than it appears from the outside. There is an upstairs. The interior is very cozy and cute. The food was delicious. We got the sourdough which was ok. The kale salad was good. The harissa dressing gave it a little kick. The beets were delicious. The tagliatelle was very good, pasta cooked to perfection. The steak frites, the steak was flavorful and the fries were a little too soft for my taste.
I recently discovered a must-visit restaurant in Mystic during the summer. After camping in Mystic, my husband and I were craving a delightful dining experience with our furry friend. Coincidentally, they had opened up the Treehouse, a charming establishment serving Mexican cuisine. The food was exceptional, and the cocktails were equally delectable. Despite being a first-come, first-served place, we were fortunate enough to secure a lovely table. I can’t wait to return next year and savor their oysters again.
This restaurant is absolutely incredible. I have to say this is one of my top dining experiences I have ever had in my life. The service was great. Friendly and incredibly informative about the sourcing of their product as well as giving detailed descriptions of all the different items I was interested in. The food was also absolutely incredible. All locally sourced, and robust with flavor. I had a Carrot Curry Soup that had me instantly elevated to nirvana. My girlfriend had a delicious Tuna Burger that I repeatedly stole bites from because it had such a tantalizing taste. To start the meal we had a variety of Oysters and their different descriptive flavors. As well as a delectable horseradish Bloody Mary and Mimosa. The atmosphere was very welcoming and family friendly. Every foot of the building was put together, clean, ornate, and fitted to the theme of the restaurant. The only thing I was not an incredible fan of was today’s specialty sorbet flavor which I had for dessert. Don’t get me wrong it was quite good, and the waitress told me beforehand a detailed description of what the flavor would be. (It was a peach and licorice mixture.) I had to try it because I was so curious to see what it tasted like. And even though I do not like licorice at all, I found the flavor wonderfully refreshing and intriguing. I know that my grandmother who loved licorice would have been over the moon to enjoy such a dessert to end such a perfectly delicious meal at such a wonderful location. I am very happy that I chose to bring my girlfriend here for our 1-year-anniversary.
Oyster Club is a restaurant and raw bar. Their style cuisine is farm and sea to table; the menu is seasonal and changes often. The ingredients are fresh and local. The chef is a James Beard semifinalist. They also serve brunch on the weekends. In the warmer months, there is a treetop dining upstairs. It's on a deck with beautiful views of the water. It is self serve, you have to order at the counter and pick up your food. The menu is Mexican food inspired. We were going to do this option but it was a very hot day. We had a great experience inside the restaurant. The service was attentive. We started off with some margaritas, half a dozen of fresh oysters, and I had the oyster Rockefeller (baked oysters with creamy spinach, bread crumbs, and cheese) for my meal. The food was fresh and tasty. I look forward to going back and also checking out their treetop dining!
Wow!! This restaurant was amazing. It was definitely on the pricey side but worth it. Our waiter told us the menu changes frequently because the chef wants the freshest ingredients. It is Farm & Sea to table. We got a margarita, empanadas, a steak and a fish dinner (I think it was Fluke), and a chocolate cake for dessert. Everything we ate here was amazing! 10/10
A culinary delight! I took my family to Oyster Club on a Saturday evening after some shopping in Mystic and had a wonderful experience. The oyster happy hour was fantastic. As a raw oyster enthusiast, I was elated at the quality and price. I had a dozen oysters myself and had to stop myself from getting more- they were SO GOOD! The blackfish I had for dinner was excellent. The ramp hummus was a real highlight. For dessert, we had the maple ice cream which was the most delicious ice cream I have ever had. It was a real treat to come here. You can tell that the food is made with heart and served with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. I’ll definitely be back soon.
Been to Oyster Club a few times now & it NEVER disappoints. Got to go up to their treehouse outdoor patio for some small plates & drinks this time. SUCH a great time & vibe. fun place for a rest from walking mystic & grab a few drinks.
Excellent experience from start to finish. 5pm reservation, was immediately seated. Started with oysters on the half shell and two cocktail #32's. We enjoyed the blue fin tuna, the native monk fish, and split a bowl of carrots. The perfect amount of food for two people without stuffing ourselves. Everything was fresh and prepared to perfection. Service was attentive and felt like we were at a friend's house. For dessert we split the almond cake. Everything made from scratch, you cannot have a bad meal here. A true culinary experience and we will not hesitate to make another reservation when back in the area.
Very great dinner for my boyfriend and I. Attentive and professional service by Emily , classy atmosphere and fantastic food. We tried both the New England and RI chowder and it was delicious. Warm and filling, we prefer the New England. We got the Rockefeller from reviews and didn’t realize it was baked, very good but will just stick to the Raw Bar when we come back. If you like baked oysters I definitely recommend. Absolutely loved their Sixpenny oysters. Will be back.
Had a great birthday dinner at Treehouse. The waitress was so kind and explained everything in detail. She really made sure I enjoyed my birthday! I loved the squash curry soup and the oysters of course. The drinks were divine and the area was very cute. Super close walk to parking area and other restaurants/bakeries/ shops. Loved it here, can’t wait to return for another oyster flight!
Dinner at Oyster Club was exactly what we were looking for on a cold Saturday night. Abbie was fantastic and guided us through the menu and helped with our wine selection. I had the pork chop special with mole and it was delightful (my only critique is a touch less salt and I still cleaned the plate). The pastas are outstanding. Black garlic orecchiette with lemon and ricotta, and the pappardelle with ragù. Like southern and northern Italy meeting on one table. The sourdough is heavenly and light as a cloud. Loud and hip ambiance in the best way. Loved it.
Impromptu trip for a few days to Mystic from the Poconos was exciting to arrive, park and walk into town to try a few restaurants, walk through and sightsee. Oyster Club with the bright orange doors during happy hour drew us in for early dinner. View photos, everything we ate was great.
Great spot with an awesome rooftop vibe! I visited the rooftop and loved the relaxed setup — order at the bar, then sit back and enjoy the open-air atmosphere and drinks. The food was delicious, and the oysters were definitely the highlight — super fresh and flavorful! 🦪, the chileenagua tuna was also very good!!! Perfect place for a casual yet elevated dining experience.
After reading the other reviews on Google I had very high expectations, but it was underwhelming to say the least. We started off with a dozen of their HH oysters and their HH cocktail which were very good. We later ordered their NE clam chowder, mussels with sourdough bread, and steak frites. The mussels were quite good but the $8 sourdough bread add-on for 4 pieces of bread and butter felt sparse. The butter was barely touched as the sauce from the mussels was plenty. The calm chowder was refreshing but not as thick as a typical chowder. The dish that really ruined the experience were the steak frites. We ordered the steak medium rare and it came to us well-done. For the price point of the food and the quality that was received it was quite disappointing. I would recommend coming here for the oysters but avoid the steak frites.
Food was good enough and our waiter was nice. Food was super expensive. And dining room loud with crying children. And no real options to move away from the noise. We also had made a reservation and specifically asked to sit in their “tree house” outdoor space, only to arrive for lunch and be told it’s closed until dinner time. Wish we had been made aware when we booked our reservation, as we specifically made the reservation for lunch for that experience.
