Good place to have a beer and little food before the ride back
Great staff and good food. Beautiful view!
Great place, great staff. I was in great hands C&L 1995-2019 the Final Beginning.
Great food, great service, unbelievable view!
Great place to hang out on the balcony and have a drink
Very cute. The crab cake sandwich is amazing
Cute little place all the way out there at the end of Long Island.
Beautiful historical place at very end of Long Island
I liked the children too, and it was very comfortable.
Very local hang out - breathtaking views
Who doesn't love a place that sells a pushpop
Excellent Lobster Rolls! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. All around a great experience!
OMG OMG. We are saying at my grandmas and grandpas house and we went to this restaurant yesterday for lunch bc we were at the light house . So we decided to go here and get some food and I got the chicken fingers AND OMG they were so good. If you want the best chicken fingers go to this place
Great locally run place. Can’t picture a better spot for a beverage after biking out there
The food was delicious and the staff members were friendly. The service was exceptional and ambiance was great.
Cool place on Hill next to light house big view lots of games to play with bar overlooking the water food good fresh fish. Must see
We make a lot of motorcycle rides through Heaven's Own MC Outreach, out here last year , great folks,
The food was great. Nice to take a break here after a walk along the coast.
Anna thank you so much for the drinks today you are absolutely awesome enjoy your day everyone come here and have a drink
Great place for a quick bite and definitely gorgeous views 👌
Great wine and fireplace!!! Bar tender had a crush on me. Highly recommend!!!
Best bar in montauk! Service is great. Prices reasonable. Friendly bartenders and service!
Beautiful view and so much fun with the Two Shoes playing on the deck
the food OK, but the view you get with your meal is the best
Food was good and filling. Prices are quite reasonable, given the restaurant’s location. We paid $50 for a shrimp salad, burger, one of the daily specials, and drinks. The dining area is spacious and clean. Service was friendly and speedy.
Went here on 8/15. Meh songs on loop, cranky service worker (seems to be the norm in Montauk), but the food was absolutely on point. Got the fish & chips. Fish was beer battered and fries were double fried. That cook was a miracle worker.
Love what they've done with this building! So cozy, a true tavern with good food, great drinks, warm atmosphere to watch a game, play a board game with family, or watch the boats on the ocean. Pet friendly.
It was a little early but they let us in. Very cozy place with good service, friendly staff and super nice owner. There is a nautical launge balcony with ocean front cinema view and light house. It’s the kind of place you can go any time of the day to eat and hang out in good vibe.
A bit pricey but given that all the mixes for the drinks are home made, I completely understand why. The lime and coconut was yummy.
Stop by and enjoy the local beer and some bar food. Relax and enjoy the view of the ocean and light house. After you are done, hike toward the rocks near the lighthouse.
The food here was phenomenal. I had the mussels (delicious) and quite possibly the best crab cake of my life. I’d come back here just to eat - it really is that good.
Was here a couple of hrs ago have to say that nothing hit the spot more after fishing the night tide than having a hot of the skillet egg sandwhich and fresh brewed coffee at this spot. I would recommend any one visiting montauk point state park to step inside the light house grill and partake in good eats. I suggested some of my fishing buddies grab a bite there too its super convenient and the staff couldn't be a any more welcoming and ready to feed you. Tight lines and full stomachs
George's- Named after George Washington who had the Montauk lighthouse built . Fireplace. Great service. Good food. Terrific music. A must stop when seeing the Montaul Lighthouse or anytime.
Great and convenient little Cafe. Tasty beers on tap and full bar pre-made sandwiches and chicken fingers etc. I had a cheeseburger it was awesome. Friendly staff
Great experience! Friendly staff and a very cozy vibe
Friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating, with great views. Cash, credit or charge, activities for the kids, alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages. Games for the kids while you wait for your food. The food is freshly made to order. Table service. You're able to walk down to the beach after or before you eat.
Stopped in for a bite to eat while at the lighthouse. I decided to take my chance with a lobster roll. It was pretty good for $25 and came with the fries. It was not overdone with Mayo and had nice chunks. I prefer a chunky lobster roll compared to a slaw some places out here try to make it. They accept credit cards also which is a plus. I’d give it a try again. 👍
Usually when you go to these little food places that are the only show in town by a park, etc. You can expect dried out frozen hamburgers or chicken sandwiches under a light. Not here! Very good food, a nice menu, and a very nice vibe can all be found here. We weren't overly hungry and just sort of popped in, but decided to have the fish and chips. The batter was crispy and the fish was flaky and hot. The fries were also cooked perfectly and salted just enough. We decided to try the mussels and were very glad we did. Even though we weren't hungry we devoured them. They were fresh and cooked to perfection in a nice flavorful sauce. We're going to make sure to go back. There's also s nice bar here that overlooks the ocean. Check it out
Gorgeous location, nice staff, but the bathrooms were filthy.
Rustic nice place! Good food, average price
Great place for a break for a drink or two and some good conversation.
Lovely fish tacos, quite bougie prices though.
Only had drinks and a great view.
Very busy but good food.
The food was really good and the view spectacular! This is off-season, so the menu was abbreviated. I imagine that during the season with a full menu it would be even!
Cafeteria style restaurant with yummy, standard bar fare and a pretty view. Seating is limited at peak times, unfortunately, and it's a little pricey.
,small but cozy ...good food...great chili..pls put a little more in the bowl
Beautiful view Nice. You can have a beer or a cup of tea Definitly go
A little pricey but great atmosphere and good beer selection.
Quick plate of fries. A band was setting up. Nice chill atmosphere.
This was a very pretty location and a very pretty cafe. They did a good job capturing and maintaining the kind of look you'd expect from an old building near a lighthouse. They had multiple different fun activities to do like table shuffleboard, video games, and an outdoor area that occasionally has live music. The prices of their foods are pretty high, relative to what you get. Compared to other cafes I've been to, they tend towards 2 or 3 times what I'm used to paying. You're paying for a place in a great location that isn't competing with anyone else for miles. I wouldn't suggest buying food here necessarily, but it's not a waste of time or money to do it.
Cool place, but there is no enghuh food variety.. mostly bar food. But great vibe, and view!
George’s Lighthouse stands as a charming coastal beacon, quietly telling stories of the past while offering serene views of the sea. Located in a picturesque setting, this lighthouse is more than just a navigation aid — it is a peaceful retreat for visitors who want to escape the rush of everyday life. The structure itself, though simple in design, has a timeless beauty. Its whitewashed walls and red-capped roof reflect classic maritime architecture that blends harmoniously with the surrounding natural scenery. What makes George’s Lighthouse truly special is the calm atmosphere it creates. Whether it’s the sound of crashing waves, the occasional cry of a seagull, or the golden hue of the setting sun behind the tower, every moment spent here feels meditative. Visitors can climb to the top for a panoramic view of the coastline, and on clear days, the horizon seems to stretch forever. Though not as famous as other lighthouses, George’s Lighthouse offers a more intimate and soulful experience. It's perfect for quiet walks, photography, or simply sitting on a nearby bench and watching the sea. Anyone seeking beauty, history, and peace by the shore will find George’s Lighthouse a hidden gem worth discovering.
Good to have some spot to get some snack or drink nearby lighthouse. As you can see on the map, no place nearby just park trees and ocean so, of course, the tourist attraction places the price point will be higher than regular but people is willing to pay as there are on vacation, why not? Anyway, I got an ice cream, fried calamari and soda. I was thinking about get some cocktail, but I saw that only few workers and they were busy, so I didn't want to bother them. Service was okay, you order everything at the cashier, and they gave you a number then after your food was ready, they brought the food to your table.
Beautiful views but not much to choose from on the menu.
Tuff to rate, just used bathroom which was clean!! Place was clean. Sorry that's all I have.
Lobster roll taste like tuna sandwich
Nice location by the sea. The menu choices are mostly fried comfort food. A good place for a snack, a coffee or a beer.
It's okay, not enough staff when I went, so everyone had to wait longer, but being served requires patience regardless. Food and drinks were too pricey anyway
Needs better Management that young black boy named Isaiah would make a great manager.
Place was closed in June when I visited, but has a great view. Hope they open soon.
Food was actually pretty good, but extremely expensive. The service was excessively slow. We ordered an order of tacos and a wrap and it took 45 minutes. There was only one other table occupied.
PROS...Nice location with great views! CONS...Food was just ok and WAAY overpriced!! And there is a lack of kitchen staff, so orders were hit and miss in terms of how fast they were ready. Limited bar variety, but a bar nonetheless. Just OK.
Excellent view and decent food. Prices are also very reasonable. Biggest gripes are with the bathrooms. They could definitely stand to be upgraded and cleaned. Drinks are not top quality and a lot of mixers are used which don't taste very good. They could probably create better drinks and charge more.
They just forgot to put sausage in my sandwich
No dogs allowed to walk to the lighthouse, leave it like backpacks and other stuff in the car ???
place was closed in july.busy season.its NOT open 24 hours.nobody there plus it looked really run down and dirty
Would be zero if I could. Whoever is running this place needs to be replaced.
Tried to charge me $7 for a warm bud light can.
Gave me margarita without alcohol. Absolute waste of 15$ cocktail
Ordered fish chips, FISH FROZEN in middle. got another meal, but disgusted on how under cooked and fish ain't fresh. If I could give minus star I would.
Opening time on google maps is wrong, it’s closed until April-ish?
I love the place but it closed too early which makes it unusable for a Saturday evening should be open later then 6:00 p.m.
I do not understand how this place is getting 5 stars. I drove 2 and a half hours for a burger that was half the size of the bun, a pickle the size of my pinky toe, and fries that were soggy. On the flip side, the beer was good. But then again...pouring a beer properly isn't hard. The atmosphere is great, the food is the exact opposite. The people behind the counter are a bunch of young kids who don't want to be there. I give it 1 out of 5 meatballs. Terrible.
Considering this was the only spot to eat near this landmark... the place is disgusting. The structure out back under the roof was covered in poop, my veggie burger tasted like it was cooked on top of a meat burger (pointless) especially for an expensive burger. The piña colada machine was out of order, no lobster... I mean, why is there a run down cafe so near this beautiful location? Someone should really step in and up the standards there. Poor condition for a wealthy area.
First time there in about 2 years. Night and Day. Sat at the bar was ignored. When the person came to cooler to get other customers a beer I said is there a bartender and my wife asked if we had to get on a line. No answer, didn't have the decency to say I'll be back or answer the questions. In the time we were there saw others walk out. Now we know why.
The food is tasteless plus i had to wait about 45 minutes for a burger with salty fries . Horrible costumer service they seem they don't like to be there. Don't waste your time here. Bring cookies or something as snack for the time you are planning to stay.
I would give it 5 stars except that when we ordered a Peroni because we thought it would come in the glass bottle, the bartender started pouring it into a plastic cup before we noticed. Everyone says we need to reduce plastic waste and then they go ahead and use plastic cups! Next time, can we just have the Peroni minus the plastic?
On October 25, 2025, I was refused service at George’s Lighthouse Bar & Grill while accompanied by my trained and vested service dog. Despite calmly explaining that he is a legally protected service animal under the ADA, the staff — an older woman with blonde hair who appeared to be a manager — still refused to seat or serve us. This experience was not only embarrassing and upsetting, but it also violates federal law protecting individuals with disabilities. I’ve since filed a formal ADA Title III complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice and the New York State Office of Parks, as this establishment operates within Montauk Point State Park. I’m sharing this so others with service animals are aware — and so the management takes this as an opportunity to train staff properly and ensure compliance with the ADA moving forward.
