Opinions de Gott's Roadside Napa
This place is AMAZING! We got the waffle fries, chili fries, gruyere burger, avocado tacos and cheeseburger and everything was fantastic. Burgers were perfectly cooked and tasted awesome, and the waffle fries were life. Stop here for sure!!
DELICIOUS BURGERS COMPARABLE TO SHAKE SHACK?!? I really loved the California Burger - it has an egg and was very large! We also got onion rings and sweet potato fries which both were amazingly crispy and hot! The sweet potato fries have a little spice to them and the onion rings were not too cakey with batter. The outdoor seating area is very nice and staff are lovely.
You gotta have Gott's! Burgers here are great. There's a huge selection of different kinds of burgers to try and they got garlic fries. Their milkshakes are also great and have a nice selection of beer. Also what's up with the ketchup? Tastes like a different kind of better ketchup...tastes like real ketchup. It does get busy here. Lines can be long but they go by fast, it's just that it's hard to find a spot to sit after placing your order sometimes.
Its the food! The place is nice and the staff create a fun, energetic atmosphere... but the burgers are killer. If you go to one un-fancy restaurant in Napa, this should be it.
Second Gott’s experience in two days and STILL and I can’t say enough good things! The bacon blue cheese burger I got was really good and of course I had to indulge in the garlic fries this time. Everything was just delicious! The staff was very attentive and helpful. There is easy access to parking in near by shopping center parking lot. Covered sitting for the extra hot days was a great way to help stay cool. Highly recommended for any occasion! I know I’ll be back!
These burgers are 5 napkin burgers, meaning they are good as HECK! I had the cheeseburger which was cooked to perfection and seasoned so well. I also ordered the garlics fries and onion rings. Let’s start with the garlic fries. They were so delicious and hot/ fresh. They tasted so good you didn’t even need ketchup. The onion rings where battered so right and had so much flavor I wanted more! I actually made my own BBQ burger by adding the onion rings and bbq sauce. It was so good. Customer service was good but the wait for the food took a little longer than expected. However I didn’t take any stars away because of it since the food was good. Can’t wait to go back and try some different menu items.
Gotts roadside was one of the popular places that popped up when we were looking for lunch options in the area. And to an extent it does live up to the hype! They have a great menu with some really good vegetarian options. What we got: Tofu sandwich, garlic fries, avocado tacos and caramelized pineapple shake. The caramelized pineapple shake was really good and perfect for a hot afternoon. The tacos were my favorite from the things we tried. Definitely worth a visit.
The food here is so good. I got the California burger. Amazing. Try it. The strawberry shake was so good too. It's a little expensive, but it's the bay area. The prices are worth the treat.
The food here is very fresh and delicious. My favorite items are the chocolate milk shake and cheeseburger with extra special sauce. I also like the French fries. All of the food is made from real fresh ingredients unlike fast food burgers and fries.
This is a must stop any time you are in the area. The outside is dog friendly, which we appreciated as we were traveling with our dog. It also has heaters over several of the tables which was need on this fall night. It is a very upscale/modern diner. You walk in and order at the counter. We may have been a little overly aggressive in ordering a double cheeseburger each but we had never been and heard good things. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and my husband got a peanut butter shake. We were handed a little device to let us know when our order was ready. In the meantime, I stocked up on napkins, ketchup, mustard and mayo. I was thrilled that they have Sir Kensington ketchup it is my favorite and they don't make it to sell to the public anymore. The order came out quickly. The double cheeseburger was huge...and delicious! We enjoyed our crispy fries. Must husband loved his shake, and appreciate that it was made the old fashioned way with real ice cream and milk. I really appreciated the free refill on my drink. Overall, we will make sure to stop here every time we visit! Update: one year later. Stopped in here for dinner and we weren’t disappointed. We had the same order and it was just as remembered. In addition, we were glad we got to see the end of a basketball game we were interested in on their giant TV.
Good simply American joint for a quick meal. Also has a TV in case you wanted to watch the game. Would recommend if you’re looking for something less fancy.
I didn’t give a full 5 star on service because we ordered online for pickup but this was one of the most reliable places that we ate at on our trip out of town. I love the ahi tacos because they tasted fresh and I didn’t feel like I over ate with them. Satisfying and healthy. The frozen rose was okay, it was really good but definitely couldn’t just drank a wine cooler for how low in alcohol content it was (not an issue, but wine coolers cost less).
Gott’s, I love you!!! Following a hilarious disaster of a hike at nearby Westwood Hills Park, sat down here for such a satisfying, reliable, juicy burger and refreshing lemonade. Everything you want in a burger. Would come here weekly if I lived nearby. Nothing like that visceral, charred burger taste. And their soft serve is incredible, too! Skip the overpriced Napa restaurants and come here. Can’t wait to come back to any of their locations. 5 stars!!!
Doing an impromptu Napa tour with my cousin's wife, my cousin and my wife on memorial weekend... We started late so we got to Napa around 2:00. Decided to hit Gotts! I've never been here before, but I heard quite a bit about this place. The weather felt more like San Francisco than Napa Valley, but let's talk about the hamburgers! We ordered the avocado, the western blue cheese, and tuna tacos along with cheese, fries, garlic fries and sweet potato fries and obviously the street corn as well! My first bite was from the western blue cheese. Wow! Let me say it again, wow!! Complex flavors. Nice bite from the blue cheese. Excellent complementary flavors. You avocado burger was next. That was amazing with jalapeno peppers inside. Very refreshing, great blend of taste. Work really well with each other. Next, I attack those ahi tuna tacos. Tacos for extra crispy tuna was awesome. Everything worked really well. The street corner is something right home about was amazing. How much more to say about the fries? Cheese, fries or cheese fries? Garlic fries are obviously garlic fries and sweet potato fries or slightly overdone but amazing. Amazing hamburgers must have. Must stop here. Must get a bite!
After enjoying a delightful day at the vineyard, we treated ourselves to a satisfying meal at Gott's Roadside. The juicy, freshly made burger paired perfectly with the incredible sweet potato fries, making for a truly memorable dining experience. The outdoor setting added to the charm, providing a lovely atmosphere for our meal. Even during the winter months, the presence of heaters ensured our comfort. Overall, this hidden gem is a fantastic choice for a post-vineyard meal and is not to be missed.
I got lost on the way to ... so we decided turn to Napa to recharge. We drop in to Gott's. This place as my friend said this place famous for offering top-notch roadside gourmet meals located just outside Oxbow Markert Excellent food choices available, it's no surprise that people often face lengthy lines and waits for their meals. Almost 35 minute for us to wait the meals comes ou, but worth it. We enjoy the meals
Wow! I ordered their bacon cheeseburger with the garlic fries and poke tacos. The burger was so well seasoned that I highly recommend having the sauce on the side so you can savor the burger flavor. The fries were great in taste, but I felt got cold quick because of the butter. The tacos had a good amount of the sushi grade tuna with the right amount of finishings on it and was amazingly good. I highly recommend eating here.
Tasty hamburgers that lived up to the hype! We enjoyed the California Burger and the Wisconsin Burger, and we were pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of other food items such as chicken schnitzel, soup, and salads. Nice outdoor dining area as well, but it does get crowded during peak dining hours.
Before visiting Napa, we were told by SEVERAL people to stop at Gott’s! We are so glad we listened. Gott’s was the perfect low-key and easy meal for our first night in Napa. Not only was Gott’s within walking distance to our hotel, the food was amazing! I got the schnitzel chicken sandwich and my husband got a burger. Both were fantastic—as were the garlic fries and onion rings! I’ll admit we did go back a second time, so I could get a black and white shake which was delicious. Service was great, the restaurant (including the patio) was spotless, and the food arrived quickly despite being during the dinner rush. We’ll definitely be going back!
Vintage Vibes and Epic Greasy Spoon🥄 While visiting Napa, the char-grill aroma drew us in, and we couldn’t resist stopping for a snack. Everything looked so delicious, we may have ordered way too much, but it was worth it! The beer-battered onion rings were so good that you couldn’t eat just one. The special burger? Super fresh, ooey-gooey perfection made before my eyes. And the Arnold Palmer was the perfect drink to wash down all the goodness. With plenty of picnic seating, it’s a great spot to enjoy a classic roadside meal after a day of wine tasting. We need Gott’s Roadside on the East Coast!
Gott’s Roadside in Napa is always a treat. The chicken teriyaki burger is my favorite—juicy, flavorful and perfectly balanced. The other burgers are delicious too, and the quality is consistently great. A must!
Excellent burgers, shakes, Brussels sprouts and ahi tuna tacos!! Highly recommend this fun family spot. Outdoor seating has excellent heaters for chilly days.
I forgot to take photos of the food but I would go back here everyday for lunch if I could. Everything we tried was delicious. Hats off to those onions rings. Haven’t had them in so long as they always taste previously frozen or packaged.
If you want an AMAZING burger in Napa, look no further! Yes it gets crowded and yes you feel like you’re eating in a public park but so what? The food is amazing and one of the best burgers I ever had. They have tons of menu items like tacos, chicken and ice cream also. A little pricey, but totally worth it!
I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time. The burgers are very good, had it with a side of delicious sweet potato fries and stole some garlic fries from my spouse, delicious as well and the mint chip shake was very good. My family loved the hot honey chicken strips. Definitely will be visiting Gott's in the near future.
A nice place for a burger. We sat outside on a Thursday night and the place was hopping. The heaters made it comfortable on a cool evening. The burgers were good, but the chicken Parmesan sandwiches needed more marinara sauce. They had a lot of bun and needed more sauce.
Highly Recommended! This is such a nice and friendly place, the kind of spot that instantly makes you feel at ease. The food and drinks are genuinely good, with quality and care you can taste in every bite and sip. I have no regrets about coming here; everything exceeded expectations. Whether you're stopping by for a casual meal or a relaxed time out, this place is totally worth it. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
A casual atmosphere (inside and on the patio) with fast service. You pay at the counter and receive a buzzer to pick up your food when it's ready. We love this place for the dog friendly patio dining and good food.
One of the best burgers I’ve ever had — and the fried chicken was incredible too! No one can beat them in taste, quantity, or quality. Truly the best ever. The fries were outstanding as well. The fresh-brewed beer and ice cream were amazing, and the location is perfect to chill and relax. Definitely a must-try spot in Napa Valley! 🍔🍺🍦✨
I visited this Gott's location on Saturday as a guest for a private catered event sponsored by MINI of Berkeley. We had perfect weather out on the patio, and while I'm a longtime fan of Gott's Roadside locations around the Bay Area, I was blown away by this experience. The appetizers and buffet service were hot and tasty, and the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. The most amazing thing to me was this all happened during Gott's lunch rush on a weekend day with typical long lines of walk-in customers keeping the kitchen staff hopping. My hat is off in deep respect and appreciation for the management and all staff at this location. Thank you for a memorable catered event at the Oxbow Public Market in Napa!
Above average for being a burger joint. You can tell they use quality ingredients. I had a cheese burger and pumpkin shake, really good. Pretty fast but not too busy when I went through, so not sure how it is during peak times. I will say if you have the time to wait it's worth it. Nice outdoor seating.
We ordered the gruyere and caramelized onion burger, Asian chicken salad, and sweet potato fries and frose. There was a line but it moved quickly. You are given a pager that buzzes when your food is ready to pick up. The food was really well executed and didn't take long. The burger was juicy and flavorful and the bun was perfectly toasted. The salad was one of the best I've had in a long time and the cucumbers in it were so crisp. Everything tasted really good here, I would highly recommend this place.
I didn’t know Gott’s was a ‘thing’ until I walked past it and noticed the consistent line out the door. Plus the food looked superb. So of course we had to try it for ourselves. I was very impressed with it. I didn’t order the ‘right’ thing myself but what I did order was great. I ordered the California burger in a lettuce wrap. It was cooked well! We also got a side of sweet potato fries and Brussel sprouts. The sauces they both come with should go on everything!! Someone in our party ordered the ahi tuna burger in a lettuce wrap and man on man. I crave that every day since I have been. I want to go back to Napa to just get that. We also tried a mint shake. It was fine but nothing unique. If I lived in Napa, Gott’s would be a staple in the dining rotation.
In the land of rolling vineyards and Michelin-starred dining, there's one place in Napa Valley that proves sometimes the simplest bites are the most unforgettable--Gott's Roadside. Forget the white tablecloths and wine pairings for a moment. Picture this: the sun on your face, the smell of garlic fries in the air, and the first bite of a burger so perfectly crafted it makes you forget you're in the capital of fine dining. This isn't just a burger--it's Napa's best-kept casual secret. The burgers are juicy and bold, the garlic fries are dangerously addictive, and the onion rings are golden halos of pure happiness. Every bite feels like a little rebellion against Napa's polished dining scene--proof that comfort food can hold its own among the vineyards. And here's the magic: no reservations, no pretense. Just pull up, order at the counter, and let the roadside diner vibes transport you. Whether you're racing between wine tastings, or just craving something real and satisfying, Gott's is your adventure pit stop--where flavor meets freedom under the California sun. I can't recommend it enough.
This is a diner located at the busy 1st St Napa. They We went on a Friday afternoon. Be patient to get a parking spot nearby as the parking lots were full, or park from afar and walk. There's plenty of seats inside and outside. Order and pay at the counter, they will say how long you have to wait: 20 minutes for ours. Good customer service. I had the California burger (Fried egg, gruyère cheese, Zoe’s bacon, arugula, balsamic onions & mayo on a toasted sesame brioche bun) which a friend suggested, and garlic fries and a house made lemonade. Food was great! Tasty and juicy. They have other interesting stuff in the menu and would love to come back and try them next time.
We were in town for an event and this spot came highly recommended — it did not disappoint! There was virtually no wait, and our food came out hot and fresh. The garlic fries were absolutely amazing, and the burgers were packed with flavor. I’m already looking forward to our next visit so I can finally try those A+ milkshakes everyone keeps raving about!
Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! While it’s a quick-serve setup, the staff was still incredibly friendly, helpful, and kept the space clean and welcoming. The food did take a little longer to come out, but it was clear that care was going into every order, and the wait was absolutely worth it. The menu had such a fun variety of interesting and creative burgers — not your average burger spot — and everything we tried was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The real standout, though, was the soft serve cobbler. It was absolutely delicious, with that perfect combination of creamy, fruity, and sweet that left us wanting more. Between the great food, the upbeat atmosphere, and the attention to detail, this place delivers on all fronts. Can’t wait to come back and try even more of what they have to offer.
We stopped by the Napa location of Gott’s Roadside, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The weather was perfect, the crowd was manageable, and the food absolutely delivered. I ordered the double cheeseburger, paired with sweet potato fries and a New Glory Gummy Worms Chewy Pale Ale. My friend opted for the chicken sandwich daily special, garlic fries, and a Coke. Double Cheeseburger: Succulent, juicy, and perfectly cooked. This burger rivals any top-tier spot like Super Duper or In-N-Out. Every bite melted in my mouth, making it a standout classic. Sweet Potato Fries: Crispy with a satisfying crunch, they were the perfect companion to the burger. Pale Ale: I’m not typically a beer guy, but this pale ale was refreshing, smooth, and surprisingly enjoyable. My friend’s garlic fries were flavorful but just a touch soft for my liking, though that didn’t stop us from eating every last one! And now for the star of the show: the crab sandwich. Though I only had a single bite of my friend’s, it stole the spotlight. Packed with fresh, flaky crab, crisp lettuce, green onions, and an incredibly refreshing sauce, this sandwich was phenomenal. It was generously portioned and bursting with flavor, easily worth more than the menu price. If I return, and I absolutely will, it’s what I’d order without hesitation. Gott’s is a place that nails it on all fronts, food, atmosphere, and service. Whether you’re craving a classic burger or looking to indulge in the best crab sandwich you’ll ever try, this is the spot. Don’t think twice, go and enjoy a meal that’s truly worth 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
TLDR: plenty of seating, great food The burger was very tasty, juicy and flavorful. The hot dog, though a bit expensive for over $10, was still very juicy with a great bite texturally. The onion rings were perfectly crispy without being overly crispy and I think the prices match the quality of the food

Absolutely loveeee Gotts! It's a must visit when I'm in town. I love their fried shrimp tacos! Super delicious! Staff are very welcoming and kind.

We love this restaurant! It can be pretty busy but this trip we lucked out. The ahi tuna tacos were delicious and hubby loved the Cobb salad. Great staff too.

Great local spot, reasonably priced, good food. Friendly staff and outside patio for dining, central location near shops and upscale restaurants.
Fab sandwiches. I had the Chicken Sandwich, Hubby had the amazing burger, 2 others had the Super salad. We all ended up sharing everything as it was a ton of food. The outdoor dining was pretty …
Solid burgers and tasty fries. Gott's is perfect if you want a quick bite. The outdoor seating is okay. Some tables are non starters because of the smell from trash cans, pick wisely. They have timed heaters which is nice. Flies and yellow jackets can be a nuisance as well. Order your food at the counter and pick it up when they page you. They don't wait on tables.
The food and dining experience was fun and tasty. 4 stars because of how crazy over-priced their menu is for what you're getting.
Lots of outdoor seating and great for dog watching! It’s usually very busy and you can wait up to 25min for your food. The cheeseburger was a little dry - it had a lot of lettuce, pickles and not enough wet ingredients to bind everything together. But the egg bun was tasty and so were the garlic fries
The soft shell crab sandwich was fire 🔥 AF 🔥 The burgers where really good! I’m so happy I got both!!! I do wish I got two crab sandwiches. This place was really clean, more expensive then your mom n pop burger joint. But worth the money. Can’t wait to go back, their team was awesome, super nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place as one of your stops if ur visiting wine country.
There's so many great choices for dining in in Napa that you can suffer analysis paralysis. Fortunately there's Gott's, which is an easy choice to make. I mean, where do I begin. Everything is great - the fries, the burgers, the shakes, the onion rings. You really can't make a bad choice here. In fact, we went here for lunch while trying to figure out where to go for dinner. So, if you too are not sure what to do, then go to Gott's.
Gott's Napa has become my go-to spot whenever I need a pick-me-up that doesn’t break the bank. There’s something comforting about knowing the burgers will always hit the mark, perfectly grilled, stacked just right, and packed with flavor. It’s not exactly a quiet meal; the place buzzes with energy, sometimes a little too much, but I’ve grown to love that chaotic charm.
Solid burger, my fault for keeping the tomatoes and lettuce as the burger was quite wet but I know some people like that. Burger had a great crispness on the outside. I was too full after the burger to fully enjoy my original fries but they were ok. Garlic fries were too much for me, I love garlic but it was overload even though I only tried one. Service was quick and smiley. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely weather.
only gave 4 stars because my burger was missing key toppings. i ordered the california burger but they didn’t put the balsamic glazed onions, mayo OR arugula. so that was disappointing, but it was decent overall. oreo shake was cool, husband tried the green chili burger and he liked it, but wasn’t super impressed. the strawberry lemonade was good, and they even came around and asked if we wanted a refill so that was nice. all in all spent 50$ for one drink, a shake, garlic fries and 2 burgers.
Went keto with the Western Bacon Bleu Ring—lettuce-wrapped, no BBQ, plus egg and avo. Tasty combo, but that lettuce wrap fell apart faster than my willpower near dessert. They held our order until the cherry cobbler parfait was ready, which sounds sweet… until your burger’s lukewarm. Still, good vibes and solid food.
Absolutely incredible food. Real standouts are the tomato soup and double cheeseburger. I’ve eaten a lot of burgers, but this was truly the best one I’ve ever had. The soup was also a surprising one. It was super complex and had a nice viscosity with fantastic flavours. I wish I could come back every day.
A diner with a large selection of items. The good: beers and wines next to innovative (as well as classic) diner staples. The place has a great atmosphere and feels like a swinging place from the 60s. The less good: The burger was good, but a bit dry and the garlic fries were very oily. The service can be faster.

Gott's Burger is not new to me, I've been to the other locations. The burger is as great as usual. We came on a weekday so service is not a problem. Highly recommend.

Great traditional burger and fries place. Loved the milkshakes. The burger was succulent and juicy. The place got a bit busy but we are served quickly.

I only ordered one Mexican street corn to go. I saw people that were in line behind me come and order and leave with their order in the time that it took for me to receive mine. I waited about 25 minutes for that piece of corn to get to me. I haven’t even tasted it because I was so annoyed about it all. I can’t say if it’s good. I’ve been before and the food has always been great today I’m just reviewing the wait time.
We had just finished lunch a Hog Island Oyster Company on the other side of Oxbow Market and were craving a Dairy Queen blizzard, but the closest DQ was in Vallejo, so we stopped by at Gott’s for an Oreo cookie milkshake which was delicious, but in my opinion, $8 for a 16 oz shake was excessive. I expected at least a 24 oz shake or charge me $10 and give me a 32 oz shake. This is just my opinion. I take my ice cream seriously! The burgers and fries looked delicious. The atmosphere was really nice and comfortable with plenty of outdoor seating. I will have to return to try the burgers as well as some of the other interesting items on the menu.
Food is decent and atmosphere is nice. Overpriced, two burgers and chili cheese fries + 15% tip about 50 dollars with only single patty each burger. A little bit of a tourist trap, employees were nice. My girlfriend liked it a bit more than I did, but she also thought it’s overpriced for what it is.
Ordered the caramelized onion and gruyere cheese burger and the bacon cheeseburger with a side of garlic fries and onion rings. Unfortunately both burgers were dry, fries were soggy and onion rings were overcooked. Overall, service was wonderful but not worth the price
This is a cute little place on the corner with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking seems to be on the street. Food wise the Bacon Cheeseburger was mid. I have had a lot better elsewhere. I got fries and cheese fries to share. Fries were like warm and cheese had been sitting and had started to harden. For number of staff it was pretty slow. I think.i counted 10 and was more staff then customers when I came in around 4ish. Lemonade was good and strong. I can't say I would recommend anything my party ordered. Also mustard smelled and tasted funny. I am not likely to return.
Really disappointed!!! I was in town visiting my sister for Christmas and have been to Gott’s maybe 3 times before. It was my place in Napa to get a solid burger and a pint after a long flight. I’m not a pretentious person! I appreciate a good pint of beer and a straightforward burger! I noticed the menu mentioned that the burgers will be a little pink. Perfect just how I like it. My burger was burnt to a crisp but oddly only mine. Hmmm wonder why??? Everyone else at the table had one prepared with “a little pink.” Thank you for showing me why I’ll be going to In & out next time! Why do I get a bad feeling about this place now?
Went here based on the reviews and was not really impressed. It was not busy at all. Food is made fresh, so we didn’t mind waiting. However, when we got our food it was cold. The mustard tasted expired, the burgers were bland. However, the lemonade was very good and the onion rings looked good, but so did the rest of the food. I’d be willing to try another location, but I left craving five guys.
Stopped at Gotts based on all of the good reviews and recommendations. There was a decent line and the wait was about 20 minutes to order. They did have an way to order some drinks or wine while waiting to order, that was a cool option. Some locals in line made some recommendations on burgers to try. We ordered and waited another 15 minutes for our food and found a table to sit at. There is a nice artificial grass area in the back. When our food was finally served we were hungry and excited. That's where the visit turned out to be disappointing. Everything was basically cold. We didn't have time to take things back. Based on the ingredients of the burgers, we thought they would be full of flavor, but everything was pretty bland. So I won't recommend eating here. We were $58 for two burgers and fries and the elite corn on the cob. Way too much for what we received (that doesn't count the drinks we had in line, we paid for those separately). The elite corn was the best thing we had.
I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and waffle fries. Even though they weren't very busy and there was no line, I waited 30 minutes for my order. The cheeseburger was good, but the fries and waffle…
This restaurant is located in downtown Napa, right next to the Oxbow Market. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which is convenient. After seeing the reviews, we decided to give it a try.\…
This is kind of a local legendary burger restaurant that has gotten much more touristy over the last few years. Probably our 7th time and as expected prices were very high for a fast casual burger …

We went in and waited in line for about 15 mins to place an order…only to wait an additional 20 mins to get our food. The burgers were super basic. Nothing to write home about. It’s fairly overhy…
Ordered a cheese burger, a California chicken and onion rings for less than $40. Lettuce in the burger are great and that’s about all. Onion rings are over fried. Cheese burger and California chicken were not to my liking - the patty was thinner than expected. The order line was short and only took less than 10 min to order in late afternoon. Waited around 25 min for food after ordering. While waiting the store was filled up with people shortly despite initial is not lunch/dinner time.
The burger paties taste like they are frozen probably delivered buy Cisco. Joel Gott did bad when he opened multiple Taylor's locations. I believe he was force to rename them, now it's Gotts and it is characterless
I wish they were more accommodating to vegetarians with their salads; ironic I know. But most of their salads come with a 4 ounce chicken breast and you are not able to Sub in their veggie chicken nuggets instead. If you don’t have the chicken on the salad it’s still full price, Plus $9 for veggie chicken nuggets. Doesn’t make sense to allow a 3-4 nugget sub. Do better for vegetarians please.
Way overrated. The food is pretty good. Not great. They charge sit down restaurant prices for cafeteria style service. $15 for a ok burger and $5 for barely warm fries is a bad joke. It’s a cool location and the staff does a good job. My impression is they are riding on their reputation and not delivering on what made Gotts a special place.
Quality gone down. I was excited to come back after the Vietnamese chicken salad I had a few months ago. I ordered the same thing and noticed that it tasted a bit different. Notice my initial order also had lime so it was definitely different. It was still good but wasn’t as good. What irked me though is the amount of chicken they put. Take a look at the picture. Few months ago, they put a whole chicken breast. In my recent order, they put like 4 strips of chicken. Like what? lol Chicken is cheap meat. Is it really worth losing your customers over? You think people aren’t going to notice? You’re really going to serve 4 strips of chicken on a large bowl of salad?
Big fan of Gott’s in SF, but while this location delivered on taste, it kept fumbling on service. Pros: tons of outdoor seating, extensive menu with great burgers and chicken sandwiches. Cons: our buzzer never rang, and when we finally went to check (after about 30 mins) our order had been made but given the wrong number, so it was sat cold on the counter. We asked for it but they offered to make it again for us fresh. However, they did not prioritize remaking it and instead we had to wait another 30 mins before it came — and when we got it, they had made completely wrong burgers. Given that the rest of our party had long since finished their food, we ate what we were given — but it sucks to wait so long for a nearly $20 burger with all the wrong toppings. Really wish they would have taken a bit more care both to provide our order and to correct the mistakes they made.

If you enjoy waiting a half hour for an undercooked, cold burger, this is the place for you! The burgers were a nasty, greasy mess! The fries were also old & cold. This meal makes a Big Mac look…
Don’t get the crab and shrimp Louie salad. There’s only a tiny bit of seafood and it doesn’t look like the photo. It’s way overpriced. Also had fries and they were great. I’m not sure I’ll go back.
Waited an hour for food, order was wrong and cold. This place must have fake reviews because how? They got my order wrong twice and the 2nd I just accepted because I was starving. Soup is not good, veggie patty is bland
I’m so bummed to be writing this—I recently moved to the Bay Area and have friends visiting from the Midwest. I had previously heard wonderful things about Gott’s Roadside. But wow…this experience made us sad we even waited in line for 20 minutes on top of the additional 20 minute wait time to get our bland, cold, and mediocre tasting food at best. If the standard is very lukewarm food, that puts all patrons at risk for food borne illness, unacceptable. The fries were soggy, the burgers lacked any real flavor, and even onion rings were disappointing. For the price point and the hype, I expected something fresh, hot, and at least seasoned. Instead, everything tasted like it had been sitting out overnight. I truly wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, it was a total miss for us.
St Helena local here, literally day one supporter since their grand reopening 20+ years ago(they gave out free burgers that day). I even briefly worked there after high school. I say this to show that I know what I’m talking about and I know what right looks like at any Gott’s location (I’ve tried them all). Very disappointing that the service and quality has deteriorated as of late. On this specific day I brought visitors from So-cal to the Napa location. I’ve recommended and brought people from all over the world here, always validated by their satisfaction. Unfortunately I hyped this place up to my visiting friends the whole time I showed them around the Valley. Not only did we have to wait 40+ minutes after ordering to get our food, it was awful when it finally came out. On one of the occasions I went to check on our order, the cook was just hanging out and chatting with front staff. Finally a manager brought out our order. I wanted to speak to him on my out that day, instead of writing this review, but I was told he had left already. I never knew managers to leave before closing (reminder, I worked there). I had to apologize to my friends on your behalf for the terrible food and even told them it must have been an off-day to save face. Point is, Gott’s has never a “hit-or-miss” place, and it’s now becoming one because this wasn’t my only negative experience. Just the one that made me write this ridiculous review.
