We were visiting Lake Como and was early to check into the hotel next door for our stay. We stopped by Osteria Vecchio Molo which was the best decision to start off our time at the lake. The food was absolutely delicious and the view was so lovely. My only regret is that we didn’t go back for dinner. I plan to return in the future for another experience.

Trasferta di lavoro, a Como, mercoledì 9 ottobre 2024. Locale accogliente, ben curato, con diversi ninnoli antichi. Cameriera e Proprietario disponibili e socievoli. È ovvio che a Como, si degustano prodotti tipici del lago. Tutto buono e sfiziosi i vari piatti. Ottima scelta.

Ottimo il pesce di lago, buone porzioni con vista lago in prima linea. Nella bella stagione è romantico mangiare all'esterno anche se si trova sulla strada non passano molte auto e a fine pranzo puoi passare qualche ora prendendo il sole sulla spiaggetta libera di fronte. Bellissima giornata!

Davanti al lago. Atmosfera bellissima. Tovaglie a quadretti bianchi e rossi. Dentro molto accogliente con reti da pesca appese. Antipasto misto ottimo e fritto con patatine molto buono (più buono il pesce rispetto alle patatine). Davvero ottima la torta di mele servita con gelato.

Ottimo posto per guardare le specialità di pesce di lago. Personale cordiale e veloce . Ambiente fine è rustico..ideale anche per una cena romantica per questa occasione chiedete un tavolo con vista lago

We arrived around 7:15pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was already fairly busy. We got a seat and were served quickly and efficiently. The portions of the food are substantial. The food is good and well prepared but not spectacular. The cheeses were unfamiliar, which was great. Trying something new is always worthwhile. The price overall was very reasonable for starter, main, cheese, wine, water and coffee for two.

Friendly staff with locally caught fish dishes. Don't drink the house wines but choose one of their other reasonably priced great wines. They will do meat variations or vegetarian dishes if asked.

Ottima posizione. Bella vista su lago. Tavoli sia all'interno che sotto veranda esterna. Cibo di buona qualità ed impiattamento curato. Contorno da migliorare. Le patate al forno con il lavarello gratinato erano troppo cotte e dure. Pesce buono e saporito. Antipasto di pesce con quantità limitata per un costo di 15.9€ (si veda fotografia). Pesci marinati con troppo aceto, copre troppo il sapore. Pesce spada e salmone buoni ma non inerenti alla location. Crostini minimali per il piatto. Insalata scondita per me si poteva evitare. Purtroppo non hanno menù bambini e una pasta rossa costa 9€. Pasta comunque buona e sugo di vero pomodoro. Bambini hanno gradito. Non hanno vino sfuso.peccato. bevendo vino solo io non posso permettermi di bere una bottiglia da solo. Personale attento e gentile. Servizio veloce e curato. La cosa che non mi é piaciuta é il costo del coperto: 3.5€ a persona. Ha pagato anche mia figlia di soli 2 anni 😐. In 4 sono 14€ solo a sedersi. Anche i prezzi sono abbastanza alti. Vero anche che il lago costa sempre!!

Pesce fresco, frittura ottima però nessuna scelta di primi piatti per gente allergica, abbiamo aspettato un bel po'prima di mangiare in compenso una bellissima vista.

Siamo rimasti delusi dal riso con il pesce persico. Vista meravigliosa.

Of our one-week stay at Lake Como, this was probably the least impressive restaurant we visited. The location is great, and the waiter was very friendly and did his best to speak English. Unfortunately, the food was just average compared to everything else we ate in the region. I feel that Italian cuisine has much more potential than what we experienced here. If the price had been lower, I might have been more forgiving, but since it’s priced the same as most other places, the simple cuisine felt underwhelming.

Great views and nice staff. My pasta dish was nice but a little dry. But my friend's battered fish with rice seemed like it had been reheated in the microwave. It even came with some cling film still attached!

Used to be an insider tip, now a pure tourist trap.High prices with averige quality.The outdoor terrace offers a nice view and has been trippeled in size, like the prices. The terrace extension were underlaid with some kind of wooden tiles. My wife got caught in it with a shoe and ruined the heel. some of the chairs are made of steel and are uncomfortable, some of the seatings is cheep plastic from the hardware store. The dessert does not deserve the name and the fish dishes we orderd have been seasoned to death with herbs from supermarket jar. The appetizer was good but uncharitably arranged. Quick, quick a few choclate springles on the ice and a little bit milk in the cafe instestead foam on the top of the cafe. But prices like in a gourmet restaurant.

We had pretty terrible spaghetti missoltini (not home made spaghetti) and the most uninspiring 5 Euro salad ever served. The place looks nice, but we literally felt like the best party of our 30 euro bill was the sparkling water which had a beautiful bottle. So disappointed.

Siamo rimasti molto insoddisfatti. L’antipasto non valeva assolutamente il prezzo: per 4 persone ci sono arrivate 4 semplici fette di salumi e quattro fette di formaggio, davvero imbarazzante. Il riso al persico era asciutto e privo di sapore, mentre il pesce era fritto malissimo e nonostante la quantità, era completamente insapore. Oltre a questo, il conto è stato altissimo rispetto alla qualità del cibo e al servizio ricevuto. Purtroppo un’esperienza che non consiglieremmo e che non ripeteremo.

Avevamo prenotato un tavolo per 4 persone all’esterno, ma la signora che ci ha ricevuto mi ha detto con toni arroganti e maleducati “NO, solo dentro” solo perché un altro gruppo più numeroso aveva riservato i tavoli esterni dopo di noi. Minore dei problemi in realtà, perché una volta entrati siamo stati trattati a “pesci in faccia”, molto probabilmente perché stranieri. Il cibo in generale pessimo, antipasti pieni d’olio, primi piatti pesantissimi da digerire, dessert secchi (forse si è salvato solo il tiramisù). Sorpresa finale, 40€ per persona senza vino, solo acqua e caffè. Da notare i conti fatti a mano in circa 10minuti d’attesa. Sconsiglio vivamente, soprattutto per la maleducazione del personale!!!

Dreadful experience, didn’t complain to staff as not sure if this is wot Italians like. Food arrived with awful aroma thought hmmm not wot we are used too. However we are always prepared to try but anyone that reads my reviews knows I am fair, but this had to be rated as one of the worst meals I have ever experienced. Verging on inedible
