Melting Pot - New Haven

I had a wonderful experience. This was my first time going to a melting put and let me tell you something, I will come back again. Our server Diana A was a hoot and a riot, the good kind of riot not the bad. She made us laugh, she made us hungry and most importantly she made us full of delicious cheezus and chocolates(sic). If you are in the mood for hot melting things please come and please eat your weight in lactose and cacao.

Diana was incredible. She did the harlem shake at our table and i was blown away. Amazing energy, kept us laughing.

The Melting Pot in New Haven is awesome. This app would only allow me to leave 5 stars, but I would leave a lot more if I could. Brian the magician was the best part of our night. So talented, kind, and entertaining. If you plan to go to this Melting Pot, make sure to go on Saturday night to see Brian. Food, service, and atmosphere is great!

I had the best experience tonight! Orlando made the experience truly unforgettable. He demonstrated a high caliber of customer service. He was attentive, professional, and welcoming from start to finish. His positive energy and attention to detail really stood out. I will definitely be returning!

Our waiter Logan provided excellent service. Food presentation and taste was a 10/10. Highly recommend

I had an amazing experience at The Melting Pot, I’ve been there twice! The cheese and chocolate fondues were absolutely delicious, rich, flavorful, and generously portioned. The atmosphere was super comfortable and cozy, perfect for a romantic dinner, or a special night. We were celebrating something special and the servers were cute with us. Everyone working there was incredibly kind and professional, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The drinks were also great, I especially loved the “Eat a Peach.” Highly recommend!

I cannot tell you how happy we are that The Melting Pot has returned to CT! My husband and I used to love going for date nights, so it was a walk down memory lane to be able to return. The vibe is modern and inviting here, and we came for the Thursdate experience, so we absolutely loved the candles and rose petals on the table for an extra touch. Kenna and Jade were attentive and friendly throughout the meal, guiding us through the experience and making sure we had everything we needed. It was just as delicious as we remembered, possibly even more so! We already can’t wait to come back!

Coming here was an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment my fiancée and I walked through the front door, we were met with top-notch service and energy. Our waitress, Diana, was personable, hilarious, and always right there when we needed her, and I could say the same thing for every other worker we interacted with as well, magician included. The drinks and food were all to die for. The four-course meal is expensive, but it is absolutely worth every penny. Each course was mind-bogglingly delicious, and it is simply a miracle that we were able to fit out the front door by the time we were done. This restaurant is doing magical things— we will be back!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! We went yesterday for my husband’s birthday and we had the best time! Our server, Megan, was amazing! She gave us great tips when ordering and helped make sure we had the best time! Everything was incredible!! Already planning our next time going.

Pamela made our experience amazing! We travelled an hour to make our anniversary special and she did nothing short of that! From recommending drinks to pairing food everything was so good and we can’t wait to come back. Also to mention the bus/water boy Orlando, he was so attentive and hardworking. We are so happy the Melting Pot is back in Connecticut!!

I hadn’t been to a Melting Pot since a visit to Florida with family almost 10 years ago. I am glad it came to New Haven. The facility is clean and modern. The staff is friendly and goes the extra mile. Our server, Tatyanna, was very accommodating to my vegetarian meal preferences!

Diana our waitress was a delight, light hearted and a pleasure to have serving us for our Valentine’s Day dinner.

Me and my now husband had our first date in Melting Pot in MA so it holds a very special place in our lives. So obviously I had to take my parents here when it opened in CT and give them a unique experience. Diana was our server and she made it extra special by explaining how everything worked and if the flavors we chose would be nice. She also helped us with wine tasting before deciding which one to take. Overall we loved the food, loved the flavors, loved the wine pairing and the ambience.

I brought my son to the Mwlting Pot New Haven on 714/25. Diana was our server. She was phenomenal and her energy was infectious. She also is funny and brings the experience of a life time. Also my son was full bit said the good was to good to stop eating lol.10/10 experience * 50/10 food and 10000000000000000000/10 waiter. We recommend the 24 K chocolate fondue.

We had a great experience last week with Meghan our server. She made the whole four courses feel so special. I hope the owners see this because it felt like being back in the Darien location where I grew up going. The host was also very kind and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back.

I am so excited for this Melting Pot to finally be open... It was worth the wait. Always love the Melting Pot and have been trying different ones since Darien closed! NJ, White Plains, Mass. We go for fondue every year for my Birthday and Anniversary but now that this location is so close to home we will be here so much more often for special occasions throughout the year. A little pricey but totally worth it. Get the 4 courses and you will leave full to the brim. EMMA WAS AMAZING!! Made us feel so welcome and very knowledgeable. Can't wait to see this location get better and better over time. Opening weekend always has a few bumps in the road ! The complimentary valet (on weekends) was awesome and unexpected. We arrived early bc we were unsure about parking... Reservations recommended on weekends.. We will be back soon!

The vegan gf options were incredible! I really enjoyed my meal. Dayton was a lovely server and very accommodating. He did an excellent job!

I saw this place opened recently and with my boyfriend’s birthday coming and no plans yet I figured to make reservations at a different place than we’ve ever been to before. We frequent diners, and basic places - nothing ever fun or new. So why not. I made a reservation on open table for 7:30pm- upon arriving at 7:30 pm exactly. I was told we had maybe a 15-20 minute wait. Okay no problem 👍🏼 I myself am a waitress and I understand you can’t kick a table out if they stayed longer than you expected- So we patiently waited. Around 8pm we were sat down- we didn’t wait terribly long for drinks. Our server Tracy came over within 10 minutes. We ordered waters and 2 cocktails- the tipsy turtle and the white peach Cosmo. While waiting. About 5-10 minutes later the owner came to the table and asked if everything was going okay so far, if our server has come over. And he went and got us waters and checked on our cocktails. So we got double waters when the waitress came back which was great for me haha! She came back pretty quickly and took our order. We did the 4 course for 2 experience which was $125 flat. We each got a salad and an entree, and shared a Wisconsin cheddar appetizer fondue and flaming turtle dessert. Everything was fresh, and complimented everything so well. I also love that it wasn’t too much food per course. I get full quick so I was worried I wouldn’t make it past the salad but I did. For entrees he had the classic which had garlic pepper steak, Teriyaki steak, Shrimp and chicken. And I got the steak lovers which was garlic pepper, teriyaki and petite filet. For $125 for all 4 when entrees alone are $40 pp (it’s possible there’s a lot more food with those but still) it was an awesome deal. With both drinks. And the 4 course for 2. With tax was $165 so not bad. When dessert came he was brought a little piece of cake with a candle. Happy birthday written on the plate and the waitress lit the candle for him and no one sang which he was so thankful for lol! The owner checked on a few other tables also, as well as his wife who checked on ours too like he did. And we even saw his daughter who looked young and was there possibly celebrating her birthday went around and checked on some tables, introduced herself and told them if they needed anything they could let her know. I thought that was really nice. All in all- I see the low reviews. I see the rude comments saying it isn’t worth the money for what it is. I’m convinced those are all people who are very well used to Michelin star dining. And honestly it’s their fault for picking a fondue reaturaunt to get mad at for not being super upscale.. it’s fondue - if you want it all over your Chanel and prada then by all means. I even watched a lady storm out after telling the hostess that they’ve been over in the corner for 30 minutes and no one’s come over. It’s a brand new place in the city of New Haven at the start of summer- and They seemed to possibly be slightly short staffed like almost everywhere else is right now, and they’re clearly doing their best. So GIVE THEM A BREAK. AND THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. They all handled whatever was going on last night very well and professionally. I didn’t see any staff snapping at each other or yelling because of the stress of people getting rude and impatient. The owner wasn’t yelling at anyone. Everyone picked up and got it done. Tracy our server was wonderful. The owner and his wife, very nice and cared a lot about checking on their patrons. They even sat at the bar for dinner and greeted people walking in, said goodbye to patrons leaving. I think once everyone gets the handle on things this place will be even better than it already was. Thank you for an amazing experience and we can’t wait to come back!!

Loved it! Such a unique and fun experience. I loved the fiesta cheese fondue with the unique dippers. The best was the chocolate fondue. It was to die for! I loved the assortment of dippers which included small cookies, waffle, fruit, rice crispy treats and pound cake.

Went on a Thursday and got the red carpet rolled out for us. From free valet, to a warm welcome from the hostess to our amazing waitress Jade the whole experience was Amazing. The food was delicious and I can not wait to go back!

Orlando was a wonderful server. He was very attentive and made sure that we got everything we needed even though he was very busy. We appreciated his attention to detail, good attitude, and speedy service. The food was also amazing (taste, quality, and quantity). We have been to about 6 different Melting Pot locations up and down the east coast and this one of the best! Please bring back the Dubai chocolate, I was so sad to hear it was only available for a short time. It’s definitely the best chocolate flavor I’ve had. Thank you for everything!

Diana was fabulous and she introduced us to the amazing staff (shout out mario and tyler)! Gabe was so nice and kind! He came right over to talk to us about our questions which was so humble and gracious and funny. Diana was so fun and gave us all the tips for the food! 10/10 would come back just for the staff!

Logan M was exceptional. Great service, very attentive, super helpful! Will come back and only ask for him. The food is always good and never disappoints. Looks like small portions but looks will be deceiving because you will walk out super full.

We love melting pot. It's always a fun treat to go. We normally end up getting the same thing for cheese, salad, entree, and dessert and haven't been disappointed. When you go just know that it is not quick and is more of an experience. There have been plenty of times where we leave and it's 1.5-2 hours later, not because they are slow but because there is so much food and it's nice to sit and enjoy.

Everything was wonderful. The menu choices were delicious and the table setup was so cute. Our waitress, Diana, was INCREDIBLE, she made our day wonderful and so special! She is kind, full of energy and super attentive. 10/10 recommendations having her as your server for an even greater experience!

This was, hands down, the best dining experience I have ever had. I have gone to hot pot before, but never the Melting Pot, and it is my new favorite restaurant. From the greeting we received at the door, to the food, the incredible tableside entertainment by Bryan, the incredibly talented magician that is there every Saturday night, we could not have had a better experience. Emma was such an amazing server, so nice and attentive, and she really made our time so much more enjoyable. She answered all of our questions and was so helpful and fun. She recommended Bryan come to our table, and his magic is out of this world. He was so funny and kind to us, feeding into our amazement and just pure awe at his craft. We cannot wait to come back, and we will be definitely recommending the melting pot to all of our friends!!!

My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine’s Day. Our server, Brandon, was amazing!! He’s super hilarious and made the meal very enjoyable. The meal itself was great, special Valentine’s Day menu and it was 5 courses total. Despite it being super busy he still made sure to stop by the table and check in with us multiple times! Also there’s a magician here on Saturday nights and he literally blew my mind. He took a card I had in my hand and made it a different card without me knowing, it was insane and I’m pretty sure magic is real now. A super fun night for Valentine’s Day and will definitely be back again in the future.

Our valentines meal was delicious and top notch, served by the friendly and professionally funny Brandon S. Thank You! Overall staff was great, helping each other clear tables as they walk by and atmosphere was lovely. My one less star was for booths, the table vs bench height felt off. Table was on high side or bench a bit low. The bench to table distance could be a little roomier, as it’s on the closer side of roominess. I’m an average man, not heavy. My girl felt the same way. Thank you for the lovely experience!

It was an amazing experience, totally worth everything, highly recommend for special occasions like date night or just with your bestie. Our server Diana was so pleasant and friendly, made us feel right at home.

Great experience overall . Our waiter Dayana was great . She explained every detail of the menu , made great suggestions , and was very warm , fun and attentive.

So we went here Friday night. We did make reservations because it's newly openeed. They did have complimentary valet but they weren't very professional. We won't hold that against them. We were sat at a very nice table near a tv , I only mention this because we wanted to watch the game and they were nice enough to put it on for us. The menu is a bit confusing but the waiters are well versed and very helpful. The fondue comes first and is absolutely delicious, we ordered the loaded potato. Next came the salads these were also very good. For the entree I ordered the steak and she ordered pacific rim. They did bring her the land and sea by accident so we did get to try that also. For me getting the steak it was a bit silly that there was no salt in sight but other then that it was good. The pepper crusted steak was the best. Neither of us were to impress with the entree but luckily dessert was next and it did not disappoint. For dessert we ordered the s'mores and it was delicious it came with some squares of pound cake, strawberry, banana, brownie and blondie. All of which were great dipping in the chocolate. In all it was a fun experience and definitely worth a try. We will mostly return just for the fondue and dessert. It is a bit on the expensive side but give it a shot 😊

My husband and I had a surprisingly disappointing first visit to the New Haven Melting Pot. We loved the Melting Pot in Darien and were happy to see this location open. Unfortunately, we left disappointed in the atmosphere and service of the New Haven location. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by a very friendly hostess. We were seated in an area that is two rows of booths. We were disappointed that this location did not carry the same warm and cozy environment as Darien. It was very loud in that area and hard to hear one another. We heard conversations and complaining at the table across from us our entire meal and it just put a damper on our experience. As far as service, we were not impressed with our server. I'm not sure if he was new and still learning. He was uncertain when you would ask him questions and just lacked confidence. He never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. By the time he came back to check in, it was time for the dessert course so we didn't even want another drink at that point. Additionally, while we were waiting for one of our courses, a magician came to the table and asked if he could do magic. We were both very taken back by this as it seemed like a very strange form of entertainment for such an expensive dining experience. I would love to say I would give them another chance. However, for a meal that was almost $200, it doesn't seem worth it to have another possible disappointing experience.

The Melting Pot recently opened in New Haven, and as a fondue lover, I was excited to try it out. With an impressive 4.9 rating online, I went in with high expectations for both the food and service. While many reviews raved about the service, I found it to be fairly standard, nothing particularly exceptional. The pricing also felt steep. The cheese fondue is $30 for two people, which includes unlimited bread and veggies while there’s cheese in the pot. However, it’s an additional $15 per extra person, which adds up quickly. We also ordered the Summer Sausage Dippers for $4 and received just four tiny pieces, definitely not worth the price. On a positive note, the drinks were well-made and enjoyable, but let’s be honest—that’s not the main reason people go to a fondue place.

We went on a busy Sunday night. Reservation at 6:45 but didn't get seated until 7:15 including parties who walked in at 7 being seated before us. Grand total of 4 hours at the restaurant due to slow service including a very "vocal" family near us experiencing the same slow service Very nice staff and modern interior However one bathroom had no TP and the other didn't lock. We used to love melting pot but this was an extremely disappointing experience especially for a very recently opened location.

Have been to many other melting pots, always have had a great experience. Tried this one for the first time -- booked the Valentine's day special. Am always expecting a more quiet, intimate experience at the melting pot, and on Valentine's day, I'd expect even more so with the holiday and prices. Oh boy, not even close. Overcrowded, loud, bright, chaotic. We had to share a table with another couple like we were at a Denny's, and honestly that was the atmosphere. There was even a magician running around that added to the juxtaposition on what was supposed to be a romantic night. I feel like I owe my wife a redo on VDay, sadly. Really was not worth the money at all, despite the the food being great.

This is ridiculous. I went here to celebrate me and my sister‘s birthday. We waited an hour just for drinks to come and an hour past and we didn’t even get our starter salads. We didn’t even get to order within the first hour. The service is poor. Don’t come to the one in New Haven it isn’t worth it. This ruined my birthday. What a disgrace. let’s not talk about the fact we are in a round corner booth, where the server has checked on us once

Came here for New Year’s Eve and unfortunately did not have a good experience. I want to start off by saying all of the wait staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a 7:30 reservation and did not leave the restaurant until 11:40pm due to the wait time. It seems like part of it was disorganization and part of it was having too many reservations. When we walked in for our reservation, there was a line to the door to be seated and took over 20 minutes for them to seat us at a table. For example, our server also had tables across the restaurant so there were times we didn’t see him for more than 30 minutes. Our first 3 courses of the five course meal came out quickly but literally had all 3 at them at same time. They brought the broth to our table and then we waited for over an hour to be served our raw meat to cook. During this time, we had waited so long that the entire pot of broth had evaporated. We were offered free drinks while we waited however we do not drink alcohol so it was a useless offer for us. Even some of the wait staff were shocked by how long we were waiting to receive our meats. In addition, several of the dipper plates were noticeably more empty than usual and with the premium price tag for New Year’s Eve it just did not feel worth the money spent.
