Really delicious food. There's no menu. The waiter recites all of the days options. You can't go wrong with whatever you choose. (but if they have the green eggplant appetizer, get it!)

Imagine going to your favorite uncle's place for dinner, and he cooks really, REALLY well. Well, dinner last night at Spadaros was much better. Despite all the attractions in NY, the highlight of our family roadtrip all the way from Minnesota was the dinner. The owner's wife treated with affection, suggested the right things to order, and everyone's plate was empty at the end!! More than worth the visit!

What a treat? We randomly stumbled on this place. Our meal was excellent and staff was tops in customer service. Only downside is that it is two hours away!

This was by far one of the best dining experiences that I've had in a very long time. The atmosphere was cozy, nicely decorated, but the food was amazing! We did not use a menu the waiter made suggestions which we chose from and dined family style. Every mouth full was a culinary treat.

We just moved into the neighborhood recently and didn't think much of this place. There are flashy places in the area and this place is easily overlooked. My family and I wanted Sunday dinner and after looking at the website for a quick second we said hey let's just give it a shot. Small Italian restaurant just really looking for a dish a macaroni what could go wrong. Well let me tell you nothing went wrong, not a single bite. We walked in to this unsuspecting restaurant in a strip mall and we were blow away. We didnt have a reservation but they fit us in anyway, (albeit cramped, but we couldn't complain we didn't call ahead, which I suggest to do) and the service was phenominal. Hospitality ✅️. Menu, basically of the day as we were informed, which was memorized by the waitress is traditional Italian and you taste the love in every bite. For apps we had eggplant in this pistachio sauce, and fried zucchini flowers which would have been enough there. Dinner there was spaghetti amatriciana, linguini with clams and lamb chops. Holly hell every bite was on point. My family loves amatriciana and are fans of a creamy sauce. Theirs in red sauce and blew any amatriciana we have ever had or made away. Lamb chops were charred perfect and still cooked med rare to rare with not a hint of grey in it. Linguini with clams didn't have a hint of a fishy taste at all. Pasta was amazingly al dente. Ambiance was great, music was on point. Can't say enough they welcomed us to the neighborhood with open arms and we will for sure be back.

I'm afraid to leave this review -- because a part of me selfishly wants to keep this restaurant under the radar for myself .... But they deserve all the praise in the world! This is easily my new favorite restaurant in Westchester -- though they've been around for decades! Dining at Spadaro is like eating with family -- if your family were filled with world class chefs. It's the closest you can get to a charming little restaurant in Rome without booking a plane ticket: the food is to die for and the hospitality is warm and down to earth. Can't say enough about this hidden gem --nestled inconspicuously in a strip mall -- and highly, HIGHLY recommend it for a casual night out with friends or family.

The mark of a good restaurant isn’t necessarily the size but the quality of the food and the generosity of its staff. Spadaro gets 5 stars in each of these categories. The service was great and the food was absolutely amazing. My favorite dish is the “The chefs green eggplant”. I highly recommend this restaurant for anybody looking to have a nice lunch or dinner.

A small neighborhood restaurant that’s as good as any in Rome or Italy. Tjere is no menu. The Amatriciana is incredible. The eggplant, fig, pistachio sauce is amazing and very unique. I highly recommend it. Our waiter, Irene, was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

A mutual friend recommended this place for authentic Italian food and over all Italian experience and it exceeded all the expectations! The wait staff was pro active and gave us excellent service and recommendations. There is no menu which I saw a lot of reviews complain, its online but I recommend you ask them what their recommendations are and you are all set. Food was out of this world. We had the mussles and eggplant appetizer which was nothing I have ever tried in other establishments- just perfectly excecuted. Bronzino was cooked to perfection and I had it whole with sauce on the side. Over all this is a wonderful place if you are craving authentic Italian dishes and a wonderful place to host a party.

I thought this was really terrific; great service, good food and although a little on the expensive side, was well worth it. Our waitress was this wonderful kid, the table service was good and we ordered just a couple of plates to share among four of us: calamari and the house speciality eggplant, 2 pastas, very fresh, two mains and a slice of cake at the end. Food is very authentic just like you can find in Italy. It's a unique concept with no menus. The food is fresh and seasonal. The service is great. Even though it is a bit pricey it's worth every penny the quality of everything is amazing. Definitely will be going back!

Wow! I've seen this place countless times on my trips up and down Main St. in New Rochelle but it was not until one of my ex-students suggested an unofficial "reunion" dinner there that I visited this gem! No menu! They tell you what's fresh as far as meats, vegetables and fish are concerned and then you tell them how you want it cooked --- the skies the limit. Confused? Not to worry. Rina (our host) will you coach you (as she coached us) through the process and makes spot-on recommendations. We were a party of six. We started with a few appetizers to share amongst us --- an eggplant parmigiana with a pistachio-based sauce that caused one of us to order a take-out dish for his wife, an order of meatballs, fried octopus (never had it but glad I tried it), a fried cauliflower-mash with a great sauce. For dinner we each ordered separately --- a whole-fish branzino (fileted in the kitchen), a salmon dish, a chicken parmigiana, a veal marsala (me), a veal parmigiana and a veal pizzaiola, A family-style rigatoni with ground sausage served as our pasta and each of us ordered a vegetable of some type (Broccoli Rabe was a favorite). Red wine complemented the dinner. No way we could make room for desserts but we did have some coffee/espresso/cappuccino and some Limoncello for a after-dinner cordial. [I took home a cannoli and I wish I had taken home a half-dozen.] Antonio (Rina's husband) is a wizard in the kitchen, cooking all our meals. Irina, our waitress, was superb, and of course Rina (our host) was fantastic; treated us like family. This is my new go-to place on my next visit to the NYC area. [I live in Michigan.]

I came here with my family for the first time on Father's Day (today) and I just had to write a review right away. This place is amazing in terms of food and service. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is so kind. If we asked for something specific, they did their best to accommodate us. The portions are fair and we all left the restaurants very full and happy! The wine selection is great and if you're not into wine, they offer typical cocktails too. It's a small restaurant that makes you feel at home. I will definitely be coming back and recommend everyone to check it out. My family and I loved it here!

SPADARO ROMAN KITCHEN is a spectacular authentic Italian, as opposed to Italian American restaurant in New Rochelle. I have eaten there many times and always bring friends there and all of us have marveled at this true Italian gem. The owners/cooks are Rena and Antonio Spadaro who came here from Rome eighteen years ago and brought their family recipes, many unique. One of my favorite appetizers is their “Green Eggplant,” made with asparagus and mushrooms, in an incredible pistachio cream sauce with a dash of fig, that I have never encountered anywhere else. Their arugula salad with cherry tomatoes and shavings of a really good Parmesan cheese is perfectly dressed in balsamic glaze and Italian EVOO, and the Bucatini Amatriciana we had yesterday was the best I have had in a dozen years since my last trip to Italy. Treat yourself to a visit to Italy minus the flight!

I was in New Rochelle to celebrate my dad’s 90th birthday, WOW, what an incredible dinner we had. Rina made us feel that we are part of her family. She made recommendations that were perfect. The food created by chef Antonio was incredible. He’s an incredibly gifted chef. If you live in New Rochelle, you’re very lucky to have such an authentic Italian restaurant near you. This small neighborhood restaurant just became my favorite after my first meal there. At the window to the kitchen you can see the chef preparing the food with so much attention. Everything was very delicious. Best octopus I've had and the white tiramisu is a must! Hidden gem that deserves a michelin star!

This restaurant and the staff are an extension of family. So many of our most precious moments have taken place here. Rina and the staff are incredibly attentive. They've been there from our first dates, help us plan our engagement and wedding, and now baby shower. It goes without saying that the food is INCREDIBLE. They choose ingredients daily and determine the menu based on seasonally available ingredients, inspiration, and a pure love of people. I can't want to dine here again. We love you guys!!

My family of 4 went last night, and we have significant food issues, being that we are no-shellfish pescatarian. The lovely waitress was helpful and matter of fact, letting us know the many, many items that would work for us. We were very happy to have lots of interesting choices. The zucchini flowers were among the best i've ever had, including in Italy. Each of the 4 pastas we ordered was perfect and MASSIVE. The Cod was not my favorite, but I "got" it. Glass wines were better than decent and it was a long list of selections. I had the primitivo and quite liked it. The bottom line is that this is the best meal I have ever had in a restaurant in New Rochelle, living here since 2013. Other than Cipriani and Celeste in NYC and Josephine Estelle in New Orleans, this is the best pasta I've eaten in the United States. Keep in mind, this is not an inexpensive restaurant, so expect to spend from $50 to $80 a head. I suggest sharing.

We have been visiting this restaurant for the past two years and I always leave not only extremely satisfied with the service but impressed with the quality and taste of the food. If you are looking to eat unique savory dishes you have to stop by this place. It will certainly become a staple. If you don’t make a reservation it is worth the wait. What makes this place a 5+ star in my book is: food quality, service and and desire to make guests feel like they went to a friend’s home for dinner/lunch. Enjoy! Family friendly!

The food here has a homey feeling - all of it tastes as if it were lovingly made. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating for whatever needs you had. I had the pasta carbonara and it was excellent! The sauce was thick and stuck straight to the noodles (as it should). I also enjoyed the eggplant and octopus appetizers.

Authentic Roman Italian dishes made with fresh with seasonal ingredients. Unique menu items like eggplant with a pistachio sauce, mozzarella stuffed zucchini blossom, and many more. The pasta dishes were outstanding, we each had a different one. Plenty of main and dessert selections. Wine was recommended by the server and it was a delicious red, she was delightful. In a time when restaurant Italian cuisine is pretty much just "ok", and the offerings nearly the same, if not identical, Spadaro Roman Kitchen family-style restaurant stands out. The food is terrific and the offerings vary enough to be more interesting and tasty than the typical fare. This place is, "The Best for authentic Italian cooking." Im not kidding, you wont find this on Long Island or Manhattan. We opted for 8 appetitizers tonight, glass of wine, and dessert. For apps we had, Zucchini Flowers stuffed w mozzarella, rice balls, meatballs, clams w tomatoes in broth, eggplant, another eggplant in walnut puree, and artichoke. No room for pasta or entree but, we will be back. Food passing by was luring, Osso Bucco, pasta, chicken caccitore, belissimo! For dessert we had the best Cappuccino in my life with a Berry Tiramisu. A go-to for authentic Italian. Been to Italy over 8 times and this is as close as I can find to true Italian food however, the selection is somewhat limited. Bread is amazing, as are the desserts especially the tiramisu.

Good food but what made the dining experience was the service. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. A real change from most restaurants where people are pleasant but not welcoming. Don't really love that they don't have menus (seeing the prices of things would be useful) but the waitress did a great job of explaining all the dishes. We started w the rice balls and eggplant (was in a brown sauce with figs). The eggplant was decent but not amazing. Enjoyed the rice balls. For the main we had the rigatoni dish (the one in a red sauce with shrimp). So good! We also has a branzino. It was simply cooked. I personally would have liked a bit more flavor. Finished the meal off w the white tiramisu. It was more like a vanilla pudding over cake. It was delicious. Next time we'll try another pasta dish.

Relaxed and pleasant environment. I loved the enthusiasm and friendliness of our server, and the food was truly delicious and clean tasting. The eggplant rollantini was delicious, but not hot. The portions, though "family size" were small for our family of three. While it is a pleasant experience to speak directly and at length about our selections with the server, it is quite disconcerting to order while having no idea of the price (this is a menu-less establishment). I highly recommend that the server give us an idea of the cost of the dishes.

The visit was a little disappointing, as I was expecting a “real Italian” meal. The garlic bread was OK, but could get no flavor from the raw garlic clove. Rice ball Amatriciara appetizer was underwhelming, expecting to “knocked out”, but just OK. Mare & Monte pappadelle had good components, shrimp & asparagus, but the noodles were too al dente for me. Finally, it was a nice surprise to get the amaretto drink to finish. Maybe this was “real Italian”, just expecting too much.

It’s the great place to spend an evening. Besides excellent Italian dishes, seafood, asobuca, tiramisu, etc., it has good wine selection for the evening, fast and respectful service, and unique European restaurant flavor. The chef has outstanding capabilities to customize any of your orders. The food is worth the price.

Food was very good especially the anitpasti but very overpriced. Service was meh. Maybe it would have been better if we didn't have an arrogant know-it-all for a server who apparently knew what and what was not "Italian" after having lived in Italy for a few years. Would I recommend this place to a friend? Not to make an effort to go there, no. But if they happened to be driving by and have an extra car payment they want to blow? Sure, go for it.

Spadaro’s overall was a 3 for us for a few reasons. On the plus sides - staff is very warm, welcoming and attentive. On the minus side - every dish was under seasoned, lacked flavor and were clumsily executes. I ordered clams in white wine sauce which tasted like pasta with olive oil. I had like 20 mini-cherry clams, which made eating this dish quite tedious. Nestled in the pasta we’re lumps of whole garlic, and soggy grilled cherry tomatoes. My husband rigatoni and sausage with dandelion leaves was the same. Nothing special and needed salt. I couldn’t justify the lack of a menu. It felt a little try hard that the “chef was from Rome,” so he “makes the dishes fresh every day,” so he doesn’t have a menu. Okay. The dishes offered here are very typical Italian. Nothing that would warrant not having a menu. Seems like someone thought it would elevate the restaurant to employ this high end farm fresh tactic but it doesn’t work when the food offered is what usually appears on an Italian menu and is just average tasting. Not to mention that the balsamic glaze served with the burrata was a sour factory made glaze served to you in the original plastic bottle to be poured on by the customer like one would pour ketchup. Tip to Spadaros - focus on the food, good food doesn’t require gimmicky “no menu” nonsense. You aren’t high end and that’s okay just season the food well and get rid of the damn factory made balsamic. Put salt shakers on the table. Your grilled bread is amazing. Meatballs were good. Ingredients are super fresh. Focus on the food!!

It's Friday night at 8p and the restaurant is one third filled. This place is hell and gone from whatever it once was. I've been to Italy, and this isn't even close. Heard the executive chef went to start a another place, making this place the red headed step child. Hate to see a restaurant on it's downside, but this place is well past it's prime.

The food was not tasty. I ate the veal chop because I was hungry and didn't wanna waste it. The cook of the meat was pretty good but lacked seasoning. The risotto was heavily undercooked, couldn't even eat it. Very disappointed!

Horrible service and overpriced food! My party waited over one hour to order and over another hour to get our food - and some of it was already cold. We paid in cash and did not even get the change. Do not go to this place!

This isn't real authentic Italian food. The Al Fredo is garbage no taste no nothing.Bread is burn .. the wait is over 30 minutes just for meatballs and about the meatballs it tastes like came out of a nursing home. Horrible..
