The most beautiful cakes for any celebration in NYC - and they actually taste as good as they look. The vegan citrus cake was just as good as any non-vegan cake I’ve ever had, and the chocolate cake with espresso buttercream was truly to die for. I also love that they offer the option to order a set of mini cakes - such an elevated, shareable, and incredibly cute way to celebrate.

I tried this bakery for the first time and loved everything! I got two cakes and a cookie — all were delicious, but the chocolate mousse was definitely my favorite. The bakery itself is super nice and clean, and even the packaging was cute. Everything felt thoughtful and high-quality. Highly recommend!

Their Lemon Olive Oil Cake is so good! so light, moist, and perfectly citrusy. You can taste the quality in every bite. It’s the kind of cake you think about days later. Such a cozy little spot too. Always feels like a treat stopping by!

tried From Lucie's stout cake at a pop-up today and without ever stepping foot in this bakery before, I now want to go and live there and try every single cake this extraordinary Pastry Chef makes. The stout cake was unbelievable. At first I was amazed by how gorgeous the cake looked. I was in awe of the flowers, decoration, and just absolute loveliness of it. Then, I tasted it, and wow, my son and I stayed quiet for a moment. That's how special it was... I soon went around asking at this pop-up (that had nothing to do with cake) what bakery this cake was from? Who are they? What magic is this? Yes, this cake was magical...I haven't tried like it before...and if you haven't tried her cakes before either, please do. I am so happy we got to and I so look forward to trying another one of From Lucie's creation soon...very soon. If the person who made the stout cake today is reading this... thank you! We absolutely loved it.

i got a mini carrot cake and instantly fell in love!!! 🧸❤️ not only was the frosting perfectly sweetened, but the cake itself was flavorful and moist. it had a lovely balance of sweet and spice! although prices are on the higher end, the quality and decorative touch make it worth the price. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their cake flavors and pastries! :)

I’ve been wanting to visit for ages and finally made it to try the beautiful treats at from lucie- can confirm, pretty AND amazing. Bakeries are pretty much my #1 passion as a New Yorker, and maaaany disappoint, particularly when it comes to chocolate chip cookies; these were a top contender- simple, perfect texture, thin, buttery, and delicious! I also love they have GF treats that pass with flying colors. Cutest store, would shout it from the rooftops, but I’m sort of sick of all the good spots being taken over… so hoping this spot stays a perfectly appreciated small gem in the city ❤️

I didn’t get to sit in, and experience this shop from the inside. Nonetheless, I got to try the shop’s chocolate chip cookie. We came on a Sunday, the cookies were warm and seemingly freshly made. More of the crunchy end on the outer parts, and soft and buttery in the middle. They are big cookies but you can definitely eat one in one sitting (don’t shame me). I would recommend this cookie! Wish we bought more. The salt was not excessive and added a nice balance.

We were in the area looking for a sweet treat and came across From Lucie. Initially we were only going to try the chocolate chip cookie but the almond croissant cookie sounded too intriguing to ignore. The chocolate chip cookie was good, I’m personally not a fan of salt on top of cookies but I know it’s a popular thing. The almond croissant cookie was amazing in my opinion. I thought it was perfectly sweet and a great fusion treat. Their other pastries look good too and I’d love to come back and try more!

I've been coming to From Lucie for a few years now after finding it on IG and have introduced my friends and family to the space. All of the cakes are amazing! You can tell they use quality fresh ingredients and the addition of fresh flowers is a refreshing aesthetic touch! I highly suggest the pistachio cake, it's one of my favorites! The only thing I'd say is to try and come early because they tend to run out of a lot of items quickly especially on weekends. Also the bakery is small so it's difficult to sit inside but they do have outdoor seating.

I ordered the 1/4 sheet Victoria sponge cake for a birthday party and loved it! If I could customize the order next time I would ask they use more jam in the filling, less icing. The icing is very generous, nearly the same thickness as the cake layers itself. The filling didn’t taste like whipped cream (which is what the website said), I think it was butter cream, but all the better!

I felt a little concerned seeing the reviews about the cake being dry but i am glad i took the chance and tried it. unfortunately they didnt have a mini chocolate that day so had to try the carrot cake which was super nice. not too sweet! over all agood decision. As for the size Perfect for 2 people! Would love to try the choc next time

Stumbled into this adorable dessert shop in the East Village — cozy with a small corner to sit, perfect for people watching. However, the register was quite rude when I asked about the cake ingredients, etc. Ordered their gluten-free carrot cake and found it s bit dry? Perhaps I came too late in the day (cakes sitting out) but when I brought the stale quality to the register’s attention, her attitude became even more harsh. Otherwise, beautifully decorated cakes that you can tell were made with love!

Cakes look beautiful but don’t quite live up to the hype. The frosting-to-cake ratio is often off, and the floral decorations are overdone. Tried olive oil cake with lemon frosting, vanilla cake with earl grey, and chocolate cake with espresso salted fudge, the last one was way too heavy. Portions are small for the price. Overall, looks great but taste and balance need improvement.

The chocolate chip cookie is good in terms of texture and quality of chocolate they use, but the sea salt is so overdone. Maybe it was just my piece that I got but the whole cookie was covered in salt, even on the bottom. I love a flaky sea salt cc cookie situation but it was too much. The almond cookie tastes nice when you first bite into it, but the aftertaste is very odd, almost medicinal-like, very hard to explain but maybe it’s from a flavor extract or something, I’m not quite sure. One thing I do want to note is the service is very cold here and I’ve found this to be the case across the few times I’ve gone. Not bad, but feels almost unwelcoming.

~Disappointing $17 mini cup cake~ Come here from all the hypes but left underwhelmed. While carrot cup cake is beautifully decorated with real flowers, it is a simple carrot muffin. Its texture is doughy like basic muffins. Definitely doesn't justify $17 price tag. The size and weight is not more than a cup cake. It's pretty for photos but that's that. The place is cramped. Not very comfortable to be inside. Server behind counter is cold, almost unwelcome. When the hype winning down, I wander how this place would survive?
