I was greeted the moment I walked in and seated right away. The food was delicious. I had the Empire crab cake and the Scottish salmon, and for dessert I tried the lavender creme brûlée. Everything was amazing, and the service was great. They also had great music playing, which made the whole vibe even better. I would definitely return.

We can recommend everybody to this gorgeous steakhouse. It’s very near the Times Square easy to access. All the dishes are super delicious. Saltiness of steak is very suitable for Asian. Not so salty, have umami of steak. And Alex is great buddy of this steakhouse. You are lucky if you serve from him.

I reserved for a Christmas dinner while staying in the city. I was greeted by the most friendly hostess who had the most radiant personality, I believe I got her name as Aria (I am so sorry if I got that wrong or spelled it wrong). I truly felt like I was treated like family! Alex was my bartender and waiter, he gave top tier service. The Christmas special was out of this world, with the filet mignon cooked to perfection. Finished off with tiramisu that was the “cherry on top”. Even seeing the staff interact with other patrons, they are so welcoming and attentive! I couldn’t have asked for a better dinner and will be surely recommending to anyone I know. Thank you so much for being accommodating on Christmas!

My daughter and I stayed right around the corner on 50th for our first visit to NYC, and just a few days before Christmas. The entire trip was magnificent, and it was highlighted by our visit to Empire Steakhouse - Times Square! I booked reservations ahead of time, which was obviously a good choice due to the crowds. For an appetizer, we chose the seared tuna, which was amazing. For entrees, I got the New York Strip with creamed spinach, while my daughter chose the Surf 'N Turf with lobster and 8 Oz filet. This was literally one of the best experiences that we've ever had in terms of food (steaks specifically) and service! She said that it almost brought tears to her eyes because it was so good. Thank for adding so much to an already amazing trip to remember!

Their steak just change my impression about NY steak restaurants. We have been trying many famous ones but none is like Empire, the median is just right. Everything is so tasty and the service is great. Our waiter is Armin. He is very considerate and polite. The whole experience is amazing.

I ordered the lunch 2-course menu and chose the Caesar salad and the New York strip. I arrived a bit early, but my server, Alex, was very kind and let me wait comfortably at the bar. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I really enjoyed the meal, and Alex’s hospitality made the experience even better.

Dinner here was incredible. We had wonderful service from Ganni and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the ribeye steak and the French onion soup. The peppercorn sauce for the steaks was also such a good touch. What a pleasure to eat such tasty food with great service, wine, and ambience. Would absolutely go again!

My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed the old school atmosphere and the quality of the food and service we received at Empire Steak house. My lobster ravioli had generous portions of lump lobster, the oysters were delicious and the crab cake was deliciously crabby. My tiramisu was tasty, as well.

Unlike some other places where racial discrimination can be an issue, I didn't experience anything like that here. In fact, the staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. For Korean visitors—if you're worried about the discrimination that sometimes happens in Queens, Wolfgang's, or Peter Luger, come here instead! I highly recommend it. A special shoutout to Armin (server) and Ridi (manager) -they were incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and professional, and thanks to them I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience. I originally planned to order the porterhouse, but since it was Thanksgiving, I went for the Thanksgiving dinner set —and it still exceeded all expectations. The ribeye and filet mignon were both fantastic, and the mozzarella tomato salad was especially delicious. Even the wine they recommended was perfect. I truly enjoyed everything. If I come back to New York, I will 100000% visit again! Thank you for making my evening so special.

This was a last minute decision and what a great one. From the moment we walked in, we were treated so kindly. Everyone was extremely friendly. We shared the fillet for two, the Empire potatoes for two and cream spinach. We also had a Caesar salad. The steak was extremely tender and delicious. The potatoes were absolutely amazing and reminded me of growing up, my mom would make similar ones. Overall, a wonderful experience.

The entire team at Empire Steakhouse made my husband’s birthday one to remember! The entire staff treated us like family and were amazing all the way through. Food was simply phenomenal with rich flavor and taste. Loved my 24K Gold Tomahawk Steak and will be coming back very soon with the rest of my family so they can have an amazing dining experience like we did. Gianni the waiter, to the host and the way they ask you multiple times is everything ok... Do you need anything else... Great Octopus appetizer, bone-in rib eye cooked absolutely perfect and of course new york cheesecake... phenomenal!!!! And they gave me a free port wine for dessert with the cheesecake... Sit all the way in the back like I did and enjoy!!!!!!

We came here for lunch and absolutely loved it! The New York strip steak was incredibly delicious — highly recommended. Even though it was a quick lunch, the portion was huge (Asians are always amazed by how generous American portions are!). The wine and coffee were also excellent. The servers were so friendly and kind, and especially kid-friendly, which made our meal even more enjoyable. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful family lunch. The complimentary port wine was a nice touch and tasted great. The location near Times Square is perfect — a great spot to stop by for a meal while sightseeing.

The best restaurant in NYC. It was our honeymoon trip, we‘re celebrated by all servers and they’re very kind and nice… they gave us champaigne and wonderful dessert. i was moved! It’ll be amazing memory in my life. Thank you for all restaurant members.

Visiting NYC and wanted to have one splurge dinner that was within walking distance of our hotel. Husband and son had the porterhouse for 2 that was served to them on a sizzling hot plate while I had a ribeye that could also feed 2. Perfectly charred on the outside and medium rare, nicely seasoned by salt, tender and juicy. No complaints about other accompaniments like fresh baked bread we couldn’t stop eating, sautéed mushrooms, asparagus and a huge baked potato. Hubby and son also had clams on the half shell; fresh and briny were their verdict. Service was terrific. The manager seated us and checked on us a few times. Multiple waitstaff made sure to refill our water and clear dishes as we finished. It was a Tuesday night, 7 pm with a few tables occupied but it quickly got busy as the night wore on. Special mention on the barkeeper; he also came over a few times and was so courteous and friendly. He was an older gentleman. The other waitstaff were all young men.

From start to finish, our experience at this steakhouse was absolutely top-notch! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive to our every need. Special shoutout to our waiter, whose steak recommendation for our family was spot on the perfect cut, perfectly cooked, and just the right amount for everyone to enjoy. Not only was the steak excellent, but the seafood options were just as impressive, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. If you're visiting NYC and looking for a place that nails both steak and seafood with exceptional service, this spot should be at the top of your list. We will definitely be coming back!

Went here last friday night. The service was a little spotty. We expected a place where you could take your time with dinner, but we did feel a little rushed. The food and steaks that we did order came out beautifully. The meat was incredibly flavorful, but there was not many options for a side. They did treat us to a beautiful dessert for our birthdays, which was a great touch. Very good steak place if you’re looking to come get a quick bite before a show.

A classic steakhouse feel just off Times Square on 49th between 8th and 9th. The service was great, started with solid house bread & appetizers like the jumbo shrimp cocktail (good), grilled octopus (good), bacon (tough and not sweet enough like at Strip House), The bone-in ribeye steak was just ok (dry-aged, bone-in ribeye was tough and gristly with a lot of sinew in my cut - unexpected for a good cut of what should be well-marbled meat). Asparagus on the greasy side. Lavendar creme brulee was good, though. Overall, a good service experience, just a bit tough that my steak didn't meet expectations. My dining companion had a great grilled branzino, though - that looked amazing.
